Great service!! Super awesome atmosphere, and wonderful vibe. Delicious drinks that hit the pallet well. I always try something new, and from my experience, they have all been tasty. Definitely a great place for a casual date night.

Like taking a time machine to 1959. The atmosphere and decor is outstanding Massive cocktail and martini menu which averaged only $7 each. Drinks tasted great and were strong. Unlike some surrounding cocktail bars they accept credit cards too.

My friends just recently went to this bar and were racially profiled. no one should ever have to feel this way, especially in 2021. very poor service, do better.

Drinks are very good, but my credit card mysteriously disappeared after they took it to start our tab. Waiter took it and never brought it back. Staff was less than helpful to resolve the issue and I ended up having to cancel my card. Beware of their antics if youre starting a tab at this place. (*response to reply below*. All 6 of us looked under the table for my card. It wasnt there when we left Saturday)

On Oct 2nd we came to Starlight and ordered 3 drinks. gave our waitress my card to run it. (a Caucasian women with curly hair) she failed to run it and stated we only left our tip to cover the charge. meanwhile the other waitress said “she thought you guys were good girls” after clearing it up we exited the location and some white men were harassing us saying we didn’t pay and we are sad people to be doing that. my question, HOW would those men know WE were the ones the waitress messed up the transaction with. I honestly feel it was because we were the only POC at this location. If it were to be white girls this would not have happened.

Waitress racially profiled my friend group.. started we didn’t pay tab as card was provided to run. Walked out and white man stated waitress was looking for us as we didn’t pay tab.Stated tab had been paid after we told waitress card was provided for her to run. If receipt is provided and tip if given do not tell other customers we did not pay and have them harasses us outside!!!!

Great throw back style bar, the only downside was no music. Dont understand why there was no music....i noticed people only having 1, then done. Tunes may help resolve this issue. Being in the industry I know the importance.

The Starlight is an awesome spot. I have wanted to go for years and was it worth it! The atmosphere is great there, and the staff are super helpful and friendly. The bar itself was super clean, and I was really impressed with all the awesome seating they had, which was maintained super well. I ordered the raspberry cosmo, which was great! This will be a stop whenever Im in Lincoln again.

Drinks are good, and very strong. Service however was very slow, and not very attentive. Our waitress was more interested in flirting with people at the bar.

The Gentleman at the front door was extremely friendly and welcoming..So huge plus to him. We then proceeded to make our way into the bar and was standing at the actual bar and was trying to decide if we were going to sit at the bar or a table.while I was looking at the liquor on the shelves. When we were told that we could just find a table and wait to have a server come to us. I personally would have much rather been able to look at the bar and the selection available instead of being rushed to table and not able to see what I wanted and then the entire attitude of the bar tender and the server changed because I was not okay with being rushed to a table. 99% of the time I tip the bar and the bar tender the bill plus 10% case being you all are more than welcome to ask the bar next door. We had a 16$ tab and tipped 46$. I fully understand the waiters/waitresses and bar tender life. I’ve been there I’ve done it. But I’m sorry there will be no tip tonight here for any of them nor will we probably ever be back after we finish our drinks.

Great atmosphere and they make sure not to pack the place so youre not shoulder to shoulder in a crowded bar. Everyone can sit and talk and you dont have to yell at each other to make sure they hear you. Great place with many different types of varieties of drinks to choose from.

Its such a cute bar in the Haymarket. Amazing drinks and such a chill and casual atmosphere. It also has great deals on drinks, and free appetizers on certain days.Definitely worth the visit with your friends or partner. Good bar for a date night as well.

Great place! We had our wedding reception here and they were very accommodating. They let us in early to set up and then they took care of all the cleanup, which is much appreciated after a long day. Food is catered in from Buzzard Billys. All presented well, made fresh and kept hot. Everyone complimented how tasty everything was. Lot of food for what you pay. Everyone left stuffed and we ended up with more food than needed. Drinks are strong, well made and reasonably priced. Try the Hurricane and Mai Tai! Service was great, friendly and attentive.Starlite Lounge might not be the first place you think of for hosting an event, but they did a great job and we would recommend using them in the future! Thanks guys!

This is not my typical place to hangout and drink. But, I really enjoyed it. Drinks were well made and tasted good. And we could actually sit and have a conversation.

Bartenders were awesome.

The Starlite is a great place to get together with friends and enjoy a martini or two. The waiters are always friendly and helpful when it comes to choosing just the right drink for the evening.Be sure to stop in for happy hour on Fridays, they always have some free snacks to tide you over.The best part of being there is even when its packed you can still have a conversation without feeling like youre yelling. So sit back and enjoy.

I use to go here every weekend. The atmosphere is still great on Trivia Thuradays but 1 thing has urked me so badly the last 5 times I went, I stopped going. Every single drink my husband and I have ordered there is room temp if not warmer. I HAVE TO ask for ice and even then then u have to wait for the ice to chill it b4 drinking it watered down.

Best bar in Haymarket!!! The martinis rock, the employees are the best and answer all my husbands millions of mixologist questions. Super fun and now love the color aqua!!! Enjoy!!!

Just an amazing atmosphere! Very cool and unique! Has a variety of fun drinks that are not common on most menus! Super fun and friendly wait staff! We always enjoy coming here!!

One of my favorite stops. Scotch bar is properly stocked and very reasonable. Vintage setting so it makes for an interesting atmosphere. Drink menu is endless so if you want it I am confident that they will know how to make it.

Starlite has great martinis and a great theme - a cool place to go for a different night out experience than other places in the haymarket. The martinis are delicious and not too expensive for a fancy cocktail. I like the almond joy or snickers martinis (they come with an mini candy bar on the rim!) or any of their seasonal flavors.

Mostly a great place. I have been going there for a long time. in recent years there has been some changes in supdervisors. most are, still good, but, I think her name is Fred, is kind of stiff and dont seem to think I buy enough alcohol. hey Fred; I think you will find that is not the way Dan wants to have Steve run this place. Dan AND Steve both, have always gtreated me right. FYI: Fred, at least I got along with Kim freal well whilde she was there. Fred, I do not know you, only who you are. so I am just saying my firfst impfression FRespectfully......FYI: I dont think this Fred is still there. it is getting better again around the Starlight. not so much change, as some improvement seems, now to be needed. overall is a pretty good place.

I would give this 5 stars except I really STRONGLY DISLIKE being forced to answer questions by a specific bouncer to get it. Many times Im asked questions about events that happened before I was born. Usually he takes pity on me and gives me an easy one after a half dozen incorrect answers. It really makes me feel unintelligent. However, I have 2 degrees as well as graduating with honors. I do NOT like the way he makes me feel when he does this. It is not trivia night and I do not need all this unneeded attention. Many a friend refuses to go here if he is working the door. I try to go in the early hours to avoid him but I feel like I shouldnt have to. I just want an awesome drink. Plain and simple.

Great place to visit if youre from out of town or live here. It fills up quickly, and the crowd starts coming in around 830/9 on weekends, so the earlier you get there the better. It used to be a starter bar for me, but now it is one where I come and chill all night. Great list of martinis. Ive tried so many, but one of my favorites is the raspberry cosmo. I also like the snickers when Im in dessert mode. There is a vast array of flavors from sweet to sour, and smooth like the cucumbertini

Ordered a jack and coke. Was told this place served good drinks and staff was great. The drink I received tasted completely like coke. I told the bar tender, he took a drink of my drink..... said he tasted alcohol and then said your cut off. I came with 4 other couples and everyone was shocked. I will never cone to this place again.

Starlite Lounge is a great place to go if you are looking for a low-key night with friends and absolutely tastey drinks. The servers are knowledgeable and have great suggestions for great drinks.

The Starlite is a great bar if you want to go to talk and be with your friends, unlike a lot of the other bars in Lincoln. There is ample seating and only once have I ever seen there be more people than seats, on a Saturday night, after a big event at the arena in the area.They specialize in creative and unusual martinis, and offer cocktails, wines, and beer as well.The vibe is retro and enjoyable; the music is never too loud to hear one another over. The waitstaff has always been friendly and accommodating.First time here was on a Tuesday night---they had very good specials going on! And apart from my group, there was only two other people there!

The vibe here is amazing. The drinks are phenomenal. Specialties of the house are unique. Bartender and servers are knowledgeable. One of the patrons commented how awesome it was to not have televisions and have to actively interact.

This is one of my favorite places to have a drink and conversation. The throwback atmosphere is relaxing and the Martinis are spot on.

Pumpkin cocktail was delicious! Love the retro vibe of the establishment, it feels like youre sipping martinis with Sissy Spacek in Blast From the Past.

The vibe is just what you need. Brings me back to my childhood, listening to Dean Martin and Doris Day on record with my grandma. Only this time, I’m sipping on a fancy cocktail. Prices are just right for this experience.

Take a trip back in time when you step into this underground lounge. Mood lighting and jazz music accentuate the decor and take you back to the early 1900s, as do the names of the many, many signature cocktails. The cocktails may have a bit of a high pricetag, but they contain the liquor to justify it (these drinks are strong!)

Its not something thats really my type of thing. Its not bad necessarily, its a really nice looking place with good service but its not a really exciting or place to go have fun and drink. Its a very chill place with an older setting due to the music and design, if youre looking for somewhere to relax and have a few drinks without a lot of people or a crowded setting it would be great for you.

Have been to this bar a number of times and love it each time. However, the last time we went there (2 weeks ago during a Husker game), the service was HORRIBLE! It had nothing to do with the bar being packed because there were two other tables occupied. Our first drinks we had to get from the bar ourselves as no one came over to ask for our order when we sat down. When our waitress did come over, she finally took our order. When she came back, she did not bring any change back which wasnt a huge deal, but no one should ever assume a tip especially when you are not doing your job. After this, she only returned to pick up empty bottles, but didnt ask if we would like anything else. I am in management and would rather save a customer if given the chance than lose a customer so I thought I would bring our issues to the on-duty managers attention. The manager apparently said something to the waitress immediately because about 2 minutes later, the waitress walked over to our table and literally threw the tip (that she kept) back onto our table. I was appalled. Needless to say, we got up and left and no one bothered to try to save the business. We will NEVER give them our money again!

The place has an interesting 60s vibe. The drink menu is vast and and very reasonable priced. My only real complaint was that it died down pretty early. Seems like more of a place to get drinks on a date than a place to socialize with strangers.

Great staff. Great location. Fantastic drink and selection. Hipster atmosphere on weekends and loud and busy but on weekdays and early-mid evenings very quiet low key.

Sually have a great time at the Starlite, but recently had a particularly bad experience. There was a leak coming from the ceiling onto our table and it smelled terrible (health hazard). After we notified the waitress, she did nothing about it and acted as if it were not a big deal. She then forgot to bring us a check for one person out of our party of 6 and we waited for another 15 min to see if she would bring it or if she would even come over so we could ask for it. Getting impatient we decided to leave as we needed to get home. She then stopped my boyfriend on the way out of the restroom to have him pay his check (how unprofessional). Understandingly disgruntled, he began to explain to her that it was ridiculous that nothing was done about the gross water coming from the ceiling. The manager then came over and told him to stop yelling at her, proceeded to raise her voice at him and said the HE should have found the manager to tell her about the sewage leaking from the ceiling! Absolutely absurd! I have worked in customer service for 5 years and have had my fair share of disgruntled customers and I would NEVER speak to a customer in that way. Obviously customer service is not a priority of the Starlite Lounge Staff.

My personal favorite bar and lounge in Lincoln. Its like stepping into old Las Vegas 😊. The atmosphere, the sofas,the decor,the music,the servers suits all harken back to that golden age. The vibe is retro without being cliched or a Mecca for hipsters. Drinks are reasonably priced and crafted expertly.

I cant believe this place is closed on Sunday! My fiancé and I came to celebrate out anniversary because its a place where we first met and we bounced off the door. I understand Monday, but Sunday? You lost a customer.

Highly recommended. Growing up in Lincoln, this is a place I would recommend to a stranger if theyre wanting a drink and conversation. Quiet enough that you can talk, busy enough that its not boring. You wont find a ton of 21 year olds here, this bar caters more towards the late-20s and older crowd. Perfect spot to either start or end the night. Very classy and the staff are professional. The vibe and décor are unlike anything else in Lincoln and the drinks are always great.

Since the previous bar manager left the service and quality have been lacking. Drinks are hit and miss, quite expensive if you arent guaranteed a drink that is consistently delicious. There is a much better venue just up the street where you can find anything you are looking for and a familiar face too!

My regular go-to for any time I need to take someone out in Lincoln. Reasonable prices on near all drinks, attentive wait staff and relaxed, hazy underground jazz club feel (without the Jazz band). Never had a bad time here and always want to come back.

Bartenders were so rude! Sassy and condescending not in the cute way either Ive been a bartender and have never not tipped a bartender...we gave the tip to the bouncer instead he was 5 star the rest of the staff was super rude for no reason at all we asked 1 question and they gave sass
