Hands on Therapeutic Massages by Damien - Room 23Damien is as good as it gets! He is very knowledgeable, personable and great to work with. I found Damien originally through a Groupon and have followed him ever since. He is actually concerned with your health and well being. I havent had a massage in over a year and its going to take some time to get me back in shape and feeling well again. Damien worked out a plan for my body and will make sure that everything is functioning the way it should be. Cant say enough about this guy. Make an appointment - you wont regret it.

I had vanny. She is very nice and takes her time, but I had to stop her eventually towards the end and leave. I would have left sooner, but I thought it would look better when my hair was dried...nope!It was not what I wanted at all and it was completely uneven.Now I have this horrible bob....which is no where close to the style I wanted.

This was the worst experience ever. I have natural curly hair. Vanny a really nice stylist, said she could do my hair but ended up stopping mid hair cut. She walked me to the front, where the receptionist went then, and asked a stylist named Joy. Joy was very rude and snapped at me for using box color. Just the worst ever experience from a hair salon. I would never go back. BEWARE....

Hands on Massage exceeds my expectations in massage therapy. I was having chronic pain in my feet and back for the past 2 years. After working with a podiatrist, a physical therapist, a chiropractor, and going to the Arrosti Clinic, Hands On Massage was recommended to me by my primary care physician. Damien not only helped heal my pain but also added a personal touch to my health, giving me specific stretches and advice to advance my healing. While the other doctors treated me as a textbook case, Damien took the time to assess my specific needs. He is extremely knowledgable about the human body and how muscles and tendons work together. He is not just a massage therapist; he is more knowledgeable than most doctors I have worked with. I have seen multiple chiropractors over the years and none have treated the actual problem. They would adjust my back or neck every few weeks and tell me to come back. After many discussions about this strategy, I came to realize that the reason my bones were out of place was due to the tight muscles pulling them out of alignment. Damien was able to pin point the exact muscles that were causing the strain on my back and feet and relax them to the point where the tension and pain were released. Damien is extremely professional, courteous, and flexible with scheduling. I would greatly recommend Hands On Massage to athletes and anyone else experiencing chronic pain.

Last night i went to get my hair colored with Sey before the holidays. I asked for a balayge style with brown and blonde which i got before from her for $130. She started doing it and stated i would need different sessions to get it really blonde. Okay cool totally understandable. She did my top of my hair, first layer, and stopped. Im not a hair dresser so Im thinking she needs to wait and do that first and than work on the rest. Well no she washes my hair. I ask what about the rest of my hair that you did not even touched. Oh i didnt think you would want to spend a lot of money so i only did one section. Next time when you come in we can work on another. I mean you dont want to spend $250 right now right. First of all thats my decision to make not yours. Second. Why did you not mention this time you are going to charge me double to do my WHOLE HAIR. I let her now how upset i was because half the work was done and not even what i asked for how come they look like highlights or like some one just rubbed hair dyed on top of my head and she said i can do the rest of your hair but it will be another $130 my rices went up. What the freak. I feel like i just got hustled for the holidays. So upset I have to go through the holidays looking a hot mess. I can not even fix my hair other than a part by the middle because is only the top done with that part. RIDICULOUS!

This one of those places that individual stylists have their own little place. Its not one big open salon, so its hard to rate Salons by JC except to say that its a nice place, clean, well kept up, etc. Whether you get a good haircut or bad depends upon the stylist, who I would imagine is an independent contractor.My stylist, Brandalyn Curry just recently moved her business, Rebel Beauty, over here from another similar type setup of individual little salons and because she does such great work, I followed her over. Shes personable, friendly, knowledgeable & not cheap, but is certainly affordable.She passed along a tip for those of us with curly hair - drying it with a Tshirt (or a pillowcase, as Ive done also) instead of a terry-cloth towel helps keep the frizzies down. Shes also got a great spray product that helps with that (but I dont remember the name of it).She suggests & sets my next appointment before I leave so I dont have to call in panic b/c my roots are showing, etc. She recommends an appropriate interval and Ive noticed that they do start showing just a teeny bit by the time of my next appointment.Shes great to talk to while waiting for the color to do its thing and she remembers details about my events or vacations that Ive shared with her and asks about them because she really cares.I really dont know what to say about Salons by JC, but I HIGHLY recommend my own stylist, Brandalyn Curry, that moved her Rebel Beauty business there recently.
