Brought my 6year old daughter in for a new style and had no idea what to do with her hair, the team here helped us with an idea and executed it perfectly. Shes adorable. Also brought in my 2 year old son, whom has never had a professional haircut and doesnt like to sit still. The lady who cut his hair cut it like the picture we had shown her and was so great with him. She didnt mind his squirming and was so patient with him. Would highly recommend Cookie Cutters to anyone with small children. The play area was an added bonus and the balloons the kids recieved when they were finished helped with the ride home to.

We went there for my childs first haircut and they were great. They were not afraid at all and the stylists made everything easy. There were cute chairs to sit in and TVs with kids movies on. The stylists also wore masks, which I appreciated.

The staff is always so friendly!! I LOVE the haircut my little girl received. The hairdresser took the time to give her some nice layering and some quick styling product. And that glitter spray is awesome!! I will definitely be taking my daughter here every time she needs a haircut.

We had a lovely girl who we will be seeing regularly now! My son loved getting his hair cut there and the lady was so very kind and patient with him! He likes to know what is happening so when she went to cut his hair and she switched sizes she let him feel the hair clippers on his hand so he understood what was happening! Best service! Husbands first time here and he was extremely impressed! Will be going back on the regular for sure now!

Absolutely loved this place. So fun with all the different chairs for the kids to choose from. Putting on kids shows for distraction is also a thing of brilliance. His hair looks great and they were so fast and professional. Didn’t scare him like the last place. Plus the balloon at the end was a fun addition to play with. Highly recommend.

This was our first time in. Ive had my 14 month oldest hair cute a couple times by my stylist. He sits in my lap. Its been find for what we were doing but he doesnt love it and will fuss a little.This time, at Cookie Cutter, he had one super minor fuss and it was about the cape and seat belt, not his hair cut. He could have stayed and played on the slide all day. We left with him waiving and laughing with the two stylists still there. Cut is good too.Great experience, well be back!

This is a great place to take your kiddos for a haircut! My littlest love picking what vehicle they’re going to sit in and love being able to pick their favorite show to watch. I also love the products they have for sale there and always stock up when there. The balloon and sucker are also major pluses that my kiddos look forward to after their cuts!

Kristen did my little boy’s very first haircut and she truly made it the best experience possible! She put on his favorite show and let him hold the comb too. She checked in with me on the length and helped me understand how to take care of his cowlick. Afterwards, he got a certificate and balloon, and it was the best possible outcome for a first time salon experience! Highly recommend for your little one’s first haircut and all the times afterwards!

Every time I’ve been in this store the stylists are condescending when answering the phone and making the appointments. There was a mix-up on their end with what stylist was booked and they treated the situation as if it was my fault. It could have been an easy fix, but they lack the customer service skills to be courteous and helpful. The Bountiful location has much better customer service and don’t make you feel stupid for getting a haircut.

Loved our experience here! They were so accommodating and patient with my little one who doesn’t like haircuts. All the staff also continues to wear a mask, so it made our experience safe and comfortable. Will definitely be coming back and referring!!

We live closer to the Bountiful location but we drive the extra distance just to go to Kristen at Layton Cookie Cutters. Very personable, great cuts and our son looks forward to his experience here more than he looks forward to much else. Its VIP treatment for kids! My kid loves being able to watch PJ masks during his cut and get a sucker and balloon after! Thanks, peeps.

My toddler got her first haircut here. It was so fun that she was asking to do it again the next day! She got to choose which cool vehicle to sit in for her chair and she picked the airplane. Kristen was great with my daughter. She was fast and friendly. My daughter got to watch her favorite show while Kristen taught me how to style her hair and she got a “princess” hairdo with sparkles sprayed in. Then we got a certificate with my daughters picture and a lock of her hair saying she completed her first haircut successfully. While we waited for the certificate to get completed, she got a sucker, a balloon, and got to play on the slide that is in the waiting room. The whole experience lasted 20 minutes. And it was so memorable. We paid $17 for the first haircut experience plus a tip. It was fantastic! We will definitely come back again.

Ive taken my toddler here a few times, theyre always very friendly and do a good job considering toddlers dont hold still for very long haha. A couple cuts Ive had to trim up a little later on, but they do say if you see anywhere theyve missed later that you can come back in. Our favorite is Brook because she seems to really take her time, theyre all great though

Love how kid friendly and fun this place is. My son loves it and theyre always nice and quick with a pretty good quality haircut. Im bad at explaining how I want them to cut his hair so bringing pictures helps a lot. They have Netflix, Disney Plus and fun seating for a distraction to keep kids calm and happy, not to mention a balloon and sucker at the end.

I took my son for his haircut for his birthday and my sons haircut is uneven everywhere, they have ruined his hair. I only come here because he likes the kid enviroment but I will not bring him here anymore.

Probably shouldn’t be cutting kids hair if you’re bad with kids. My daughter was a little timid and the lady was just rude and made her even more uncomfortable. We ended up leaving without a haircut and wasted half an hour waiting. Ridiculous.

My 2 year old is scared to death about getting his hair cut or even combed. He was so excited to sit in a cool tractor and watch a show. He was still extremely resistive to the hair cut and screamed through most of it but the hairstylist stayed calm and worked fast and did a great job. You could tell she’d dealt with many screamy children. It was a fun and clean environment. Will definitely go back.

We drove an hour to have our 17 month old sons hair cut here. It was worth the drive. We wont be taking our son anywhere else for a hair cut. The stylist was friendly and fast. She had his hair done within 10 minutes even with him wiggling around. He really enjoyed being able to sit in a fun little car and watch his favorite show while getting his hair cut. We had a great experience.

His first haircut there was a very different experience and that girl tried her hardest as well. We took my 11 month old in for his first hair cut, at first approaching the door the staff was cleaning which made me feel like they’re overall a clean establishment, the seats were cute vehicles which my little guy loved. They clearly are experts in small children’s haircuts because Kristen knew various tricks to get my son to cooperate. Over all such a cute and great experience. We will be back.

They were running a little behind, but I didnt mind as my little one was having fun playing in their waiting area. Brook cut his hair and was so patient with him. Weve had the same staff member 2-3 times now. She is always wonderful with our little girl. Shes patient and listens to what we want done. Our girl got her hair styled after the haircut was finished. Then she got a sucker and balloon as always.

This was my daughter‘s first haircut and she did so well. The lady was so good with her. It’s all she talked about all day and the next day wanted to go back and cut it again.

We’ve been many times for my son to get haircuts. We really like Kristen. She is professional and does a great job. The only complaint I have is that the toy chairs the kids sit on don’t always seem the cleanest. I realize there is always going to be hair given the nature of the business, however, I feel like a better job could be done. More than once when we have been the chairs had to be wiped down because there was so much hair on the seat (the employees even agreed they were dirty and wouldn’t want their kids to sit on it).

Kristen has been cutting my boys’ hair for a few years, and we love her. She is friendly, skilled, and efficient. I’m always pleased with the haircuts. I love being able to schedule appointments on the app, and we rarely have to wait once we arrive. We love Cookie Cutters!

We did the First Cut package. They made my little guy right at home and made sure he was comfortable before they proceeded with each step. They even made a little certificate with his lock of hair so we can keep it safe. My one year old had a great time and we will definitely be returning!

We have been coming here for a couple years and we love it. Every stylist weve had has been very understanding and capable with my now 6 year old sensory son, who very much hates hair cuts and does not make it easy for them. But they always do exactly what we ask and never even show impatience. I highly recommend.

They have always done a great job cutting hair, but we have had to wait past our appointment time pretty much every time. Ive never complained about that because I understand things happen that can get them behind schedule. I didnt even complain when we waited over an hour one time and there ended up being a walk-in taken in before us on that day (that was precovid and they were allowing walk-ins). We had an appointment set a couple days ago, the freeway was at standstill, and we were 10 minutes late. They refused to cut my kids hair even though they had already taken my daughter back and had her in the chair and admitted they had gotten several calls about the traffic. They rescheduled us for today and although they actually got one kid back mostly on time for a change, we once again waited past the appointment window for my other child. I will take responsibility for being late on the original day, but we have always been early at other appointments, so to be turned away the one time we were late only to then have them take us back late for one of our appointments again like usual is pretty infuriating.

My little girl loves coming here and getting her hair cut. They are all really great with kids and patient.

They do a good job, but their late policy is insane. Showed up 5 minutes late for our most recent appointment and they canceled on me. I’ve had them take 5-10 minutes to get to my child after their appointment time, but they won’t let it go the other way. Sadly, I won’t be taking my child back.
