I call first thing this morning and Alyssa got me in for a color and cut. She even remembered my name over the phone. When I got to the salon she was ready for me. She checked to see what I wanted and remembered most of it even though it had been about five months since I last saw her. She did a great job as always. She also helped me find a leave in conditioner to replace the one I used to use and is no longer available. Good job Alyssa

I love Tony. Hes loud and fun and really good at what he does. I always do a very light platinum blonde and last time I went to him it was so beautiful! The moment he dried my hair everyone was complimenting it saying how amazing it looked. Plus he used an amazing cookie dough conditioner that smelled and felt amazing.

I don’t like leaving my house, especially to get a haircut/color. I thought treat yoself and going to Smart Style was the way to go. It was very professional, Alisha talked me through every step we were taking, so I was never worried about my hair getting butchered. She told me the process before hand and during. The other ladies there were helpful and assisted each other with great team work. They are not owned by Walmart. Being located inside of Walmart does not effect the outcome or the hard work they put in to help you look fab. Overall it was a comfortable experience. Will return.

In the area on business and decided to give the location a shot and it was a great decision! Alyssa colored my hair and did my eyebrow wax and both came out wonderful. She has a wonderful personality and is very smart so my time passed with great conversation. If Im ever in the area again I will definitely be coming back to see her.

Easy to get an appointment. People seem to have forgotten theyre there since Wal-Mart closed the entrance next to them. Bad decision by Wal-Mart since it makes the other entrance too crowded and cuts the number of handicap parking near an entrance in half. Hope they figure it out soon.

Im not one to leave reviews but Alyssa is AMAZING. From the time I walked in she took her time. Made sure I was comfortable. She was extremely friendly and extremely professional. She knew what I wanted and absolutely nailed it. ☺️

The employees are very nice. Kristen initially colored my hair and did an eyebrow waxing. The eyebrows look great. She left a few yellow spots on my hair but I came back in to get them fixed with no charge. She overall did a great job. Tony fixed the yellow spots and he was phenomenal. He was so easy to talk to and made waiting for my hair fun! Definitely recommend this salon!

Came in short notice for last minute highlights, and Kristen did an amazing job. The atmosphere was a fun place to be while spending “45 minutes or so” just waiting on the highlights to kick into color. I can see where some people may not enjoy the atmosphere if they’re looking for a quiet and silent place to get their hair done, but I would highly recommend them to anyone who is a people person and enjoys a laughing environment. Thanks for the hair Kristen! (As well as staying an hour late just to get me in!) And for all the laughs from the team.

Tony is seriously the best! My husband and son both have super thick hair and we tried going to so many people at various hair salons that kept screwing up their hair. Ever since we found Tony they dont go to anyone else. He is sooo good at what he does and hes awesome with kids as well.

My parents have come to this salon and specifically to Krista for many years and while in town I needed a root touch up and Krista was able to get me in quickly. The salon is beautifully decorated and the atmosphere is very warm and comfortable ; shes included many personal touches. There are a wide variety of products available for purchase as well as other services (e.g. massage, nails, eyelash extensions). The girls that work there are darling and friendly. You can tell Krista takes pride in her business by treating her clients so well. Cant wait to go back!!

Katie was my stylist and she was amazing! She cut over 10 inches and colored my hair with no waiting- walked right in without an appointment! She was professional, honest and it looks great. From long to short in 2 hours! Highly recommend her!! Great price too and product line! Could not be happier!

They were very accommodating on getting my daughter and I in last minute for a hair cut! Tony and Katie did a great job at taking their time And listening to what we wanted! We love our hair cuts!!! Thank you so much so the great experience!Update.....second visit in. We even had appointments this time around. Planned a mom and daughter afternoon. We Wanted fresh hair cuts before our vacation. They were so distracted with other things going on in the store during our hair cuts this time. Mine has a few longer uneven pieces. But my daughters is awful! Horribly uneven all around. She has natural curly hair so when it’s damp it’s hard to tell, but as it dried it is very noticeable. Called the day we were heading back into town and was told we only have 7 days for a fix or refund of course coming home from a week vacation it was day 8. If our hair cuts were not interrupted time and time again and Tony didn’t rush us through the whole process I’m sure it would have been a much better experience. Complete opposite of our first visit, what a shame. My advise pay a few more dollars and get it done somewhere else.

I was stuck at walmart for an 1hr 30 mins waiting on an oil change and decided to stop by the salon. They were able to get me in immediately. Tony made me feel comfortable right away! I appreciated him making sure i was ready before he began cutting (i was getting a drastic change in length) and listening to what i wanted. He made sure everything looked good. I was very happy with the end result. Loved the fun atmosphere he and his coworker created. Will definitely be returning to this location.

I will not recommend this lady who told me she use to be manager and she step down. Sorry forgot her name. She did not do a good job. She has blond hair old lady.Shes lazy and slow. she doesnt even know how to color,cut and highlight. She burn my head. I was in the point that I just want to leave with out paying her. I ask to color my hair brown and red and she color it brown instead of bleaching it first.I show her what I want and she said she can do it iake sure I ask her again just to be safe. After 6 hours of sitting she said it was good and it will show the red when your under the sun. Nope the color still look brown not red. Pls dont go to her youll regret. i recommend Tony his friendly and he knows what his doing. As I was sitting there waiting for this lady to do my hair, Tony help so many people in less then 6hours all his customers are happy and smiling as they left the salon.

Tony is my all time favorite! He listens and makes sure youre more then happy with the results. I would see him all the time up in the Riverdale location. Now that I have moved to South Jordan, Tony is still my guy and would drive for hours just to see him. He deserves a raise! Thank you Tony!

Hours say open until 9. I showed up at 7:45, stood at the front desk of an empty store for 5-10 minutes unassisted, and then was informed that they closed at 8, and was turned away. Had the girl had even an ounce of customer service, I would have just smiled and been on my way. She did not even come to the front to talk to me, I had to find her in the back. My experiences have been positive in the past, but not this time.

I go to Kristen for my perms, cuts and styles. If i colored, Id go to her for that as well because, simply put, shes amazing and gets the job done right!

I have never had such a terrible experience ever anywhere until I walked into that place. The lady was rude after me sitting there for 15 mins to ask when I could book an appointment. She was so rude to me that I decided not to get my hair cut there. Come one people work on your customer service.

I have finally found someone that I like to do my. So I take my whole family to her. But I am starting to get to where I dont want to go in there if Anita is there. She is not very cusomer service friendly, and she talks to the other girls like they are children. She is very rude and if something cant be done right when she wants it, she lets it be known that she is upset. If the girls have a line and can not take a cut right when she wants or they have to wait she gets snappy. I work in a job where customer service is a must. She is very lacking of it.

Went there and the girl got our name and number and said it would be 25 mins. I asked if she was going to call us or if we should set an alarm to come back after we walked around Wal-Mart. We got there a minute before our alarm and there was a different girl cutting someone elses hair, she told us that the other went on break and that it would be another 20 mins. Bad start from the get go so we chose another salon.

They were nice and all butt when it comes to my hair I wanted brown with blonde highlights and she turn my hair red and she left the bleach on for 3 to 4 hours and then tried to tell me that the red would go into Brown and it never did I do not like how they did my hair in the middle of dying my hair she kept walking away talking to the other employees and a ton of other stuff I will not be going back you guys are nice and all but I dont like what you did to my hair

Deanna is a hairstylist at the Layton Utah smartstyles location. She did an excellent job with my highlights and lowlights . I explained to her what I wanted and she made a beautiful combination of derp rich colors with amazing shine . The prices are very affordable and the hours are very convenient . If you have ever considered coloring your hair or adding a splash of fun color Deanna is the person I would highly recommend here in the wasatch front. She is very easy to talk to and loves the art of color. I get so many compliments on the beautiful color mixtures. I am so grateful to have discovered her as a hidden treasure.
