Went in for the free brake inspection knowing the pads were lookin thin. They managed to resurface the rotors so I could save a bit by keeping them a while longer and just replace the rear and front pads. Gave me a great deal and the car was in and out of the shop fast. What more can you want in a repair shop? Definitely recommend.

Tony did an EXCELLENT job on my roof panel after a massive, ghetto asteroid hit my car. I must also admit that I let the destruction sit over two weeks resulting in some oxidation...not smart at all but I was broke and hesitant to throw $450 on something that the universe decided would make a historic mark on my vehicle. Tony provided photos of the process, showing the intense labor I made him go through, and to also demonstrate that he wasnt cutting corners.. although these photos do look photoshopped (just kidding). I did shop around prior to deciding to go to Tony. All other shops ranged from $700-$2500. They mustve thought daddy was gonna pay for it, charging me THAT much. I am also sure that their method was not any better. Most shops charged a lot for labor since this required the headliner to be removed. Anyway, Im very happy with the end result. I highly recommend. Ill be taking my car to Tony for any future issues. P.S. Please stop shooting at the sky as a form of celebration--nothing good comes out of it.

I love The Brake Center! Its very hard to find place that you feel comfortable going to and know that theyre not trying to overcharge you etc. Theyre extremely fast (I dropped my car off Saturday morning at 10am and they called with an estimate at 11 and had it ready by 1:30 for a fan belt and an oil change). As a female it can sometimes be intimidating or not a *great* experience going to get your car fixed (hate to say it, but ladies you know its true!) and I always feel extremely comfortable at the Brake Center. They are nice, professional, honest, and local...the perfect combo!

I took my car in because my front passenger side wheel was making very strange noises. It turned out that the bearings had gone bad.I pulled in 8am on a Saturday and was told (very politely) that I needed an appointment. The auto shop was already extremely busy and I would have had no problem making an appointment and coming back the following week. But the mechanic was super friendly and very professional and told me he thought he could squeeze me in. Within 2 hours he called me back to tell me my bearings had, if fact, gone bad and he would need about 3 hours to get the job done. He quoted me a very reasonable price and said hed call when he was done. Exactly 3 hours later he called and said my car was ready.I picked up my car to find out, not only had he replaced the bearings on both sides of the axle, but gave me the higher quality brand for no extra charge, sanded my rotors, adjusted my brakes and also fixed my horrible squealing serpentine belt for no extra charge! He recommended I come back for brakes within 2 months and never once tried to up sell or tell me I needed anything other than what I had come in for.Absolutely a great experience all the way around. The estimate I was given was exactly the amount I was charged. Everyone was very friendly and professional. I love these guys!!

Pretty nice huys, helpful in explaining what needs to get done. Reasonable enough. Had to replace brakes and gave appropriate recommendation without overselling on things we didnt need. Took in for oil change and was done in an hour. Prices seemed pretty reasonable.

Great Place! Ive been coming here for over 16 years to get my vehicles serviced. The owners are always fair with me and always give me a competitive price. They always give a thorough analysis of my vehicles and provide accurate maintenance requirements to keep them running. I live in Riverside now, but I always make the drive to the Brake Center in Lawndale to get my vehicles serviced. Its difficult to find a mechanic you can trust; once you find one, keep them, because competant and honest mechanics are rare.

Have been coming here for 3+ years with my 5 cars, and they always have been straight with me, and willing to explain different options for car repairs. Rarely ever come back for a follow up, and they are willing to communicate.

Had to have all brakes replaced & rotors resurfaced, unexpectedly. Only time I had was immediately after my sons middle school graduation. I was low on time & they cut a 3 hour job in half! I was able to keep celebrating with my son!

Took my daughters car in for a brake service. Purchased coupon through Groupon for 4 brakes. And once I get there Im advised of all this extra fees they dont make you aware of. And the person assisting you in the front desk is so impatient and looking mad in explaining to you about the fees and why the extra fees. And even after giving you the estimate of all the service your car needs he gives you one amount with a discount price. But after refusing most of the service your total price drops only by $10.- $20. dollars and he cant explained how and why. Making you feel dumb as if your requesting free service. And after a week into changing the brakes took the car in to a tire shop for the others services. They advise me and took me to look at the car showing me one of the tires how loose it was. That they were able to take the screws of the tires with their bare hands. Putting my daughter in so much danger. When I called to complain and the man who answered the phone was rude answered with an attitude as if I was bothering him. I confronted him and his excuse was Im assisting a customer, as if I was not a customer ¿right? Not good business if you have to double check their work performance.

Update: out of the blue they called and said they had removed the worthless coupon from their web page and that they would honor the coupon for me since it did not have a expiration date. This is real CUSTOMER CARE and deserves recognition so I give them 4 stars for good work.If you think you have a coupon, you dont! On the web page from the Brake Center there is a button for promotions. Press it and pick your location. Mine was Lawndale close to where I live. Thee as big as day is a promotion for Brakes $89.00 Pads plus machine rotors.... Well that coupon is not honored. There is no expression date on the coupon but you are told that it expired Oct of 2015. Seems there web designer missed that when he posted it way back when.In my mind, as in fishing, this is called a lure. Once your in the shop with worthless coupon in hand they got you there!

I had a problem with my car brakes. I had my brakes fix by other brake service shop about six month ago, but was not fix properly and every time I use the brake my pedal was kind of low. I went to the previous shop again and they could not find the problem. I came to break center and they check my brake and fix that with minimum cost. Apparently there was a leaked in vacuum line that previous auto brake repair shop could not diagnose it. Brake center were very friendly and they explained what was wrong with the it. I recommend brake center to everyone in need of complete auto repair services. They are honest and have very knowledgeable mechanics. As well, they have three locations in Los Angeles area that you can go too.

We were visiting my sister in California and while driving one day, we hit a very large hole in the road and ruined our tire. We did not know where to go and so we looked online and decided to go to Brake Center in Lawndale, since it was close to my sisters home. We were treated great and they replaced (actually two tires) for us and did alignment, and they were able to find us tires that fit into our price range and got us back on the road again and back to our vacation. So glad we had a positive experience with them and that they were able to take care of us so quickly. Good job guys.

Avoid these price scam artist. Recently I brought in my 2002 Lexus to get a repair on motor mounts. The parts costs $125.0. The bill total was $900. The main reason, I had my elderly mother drop the car off as I was out of town. Well its fair to say these guys look forward to over price charging women. Ladies beware and check your purse when you leave this shop. Better yet avoid it at all costs. By the way the Lexus dealer only wanted $850 for the same repair. I take the blame for trying to shop local. Never again. Ill never go here again. Beware of the bait and switch.

Customer service is horrible! The guy at counter is very rude. I would ask him questions about pricing and services and he would give a condescending tone and wasn’t very helpful. I told them I wanted my keys and left. His lack of customer service is what caused me to not feel comfortable in having them work on my car.

Absolutely horrible service. I bought a Groupon for 90 dollars to install in break pads and fix the rotors and they told me that my rotors are not able to be resurfaced even though my car is only a year old just so they could charge me an extra 170 dollars. All I wanted was for my brake pads and rotors to be fixed. Plus the owner was incredibly rude and belittling if you have the option go to another shop or do the work yourself because they are over charging and not to mention a rip off.

I have a new BMW I ran over a big piece of Metal on freeway my entire suspension got damaged, They were very honest to me and only replaced the parts that needed to be change with original german parts, Really good price 1/3 of Dealer.really fast and clean job, professional mechanics. thank you so much I will stop by anytime I have problem with my car again.

Brake Center did an outstanding job on the brakes in my Prius. They fixed the poor work that had been done by another automotive shop. They were very knowledgable and sent me text messages with updates on the work and quickly notified me when the work was done and I could pick up my car.very fair pricing as well!

They are liars and cheats. They advertise prices and once you arrive they charge you different prices. They trick you into thinking your getting 4 brakes and then only do 2. They charge you the 4 brake price, dont be fooled. Completely frauds.

I own an MK1 Audi TT Quattro and I treat it like my child. I have after market suspension on it. Coil overs, and it rides two inches lower so that it will handle better, with plenty more done to it other than just the suspension. That being said, you can guarantee that I wouldnt take my car just anywhere. I choose to take it to Brake Centers.I get my oil changed here regularly. I wanted a certain high mileage oil for my car, and they went and got that specific one, no problem, and gave me a reasonable price.My wheel bearings were from the original factory assembly and had begun to wear away. I thought that all four were completely done and needed replacement. They corrected me and told me that it was just the two. They told me the truth about my car, saving me money, and they again got me a good price for the bearings and doing some work on my breaks.There was also a time that my skid plate was rattling and I couldnt figure out why or how. It only happened when I shifted my car into second gear. I was panicking and rushed it over there. My favorite mechanic hoisted my car up in the air, fixed a bolt, lowered her down, and didnt charge me a dime.All in all, you can trust these guys. Theyre all good people. Plus theyre conveniently located semi near In N Out off of inglewood, so you can go grab yourself a milkshake while you wait. (;

Not a friendly place especially if you come with a groupon....They took 1.5 hrs for oil change, did not do wheel rotation and 25 point check and even did not tell me about it unless i asked what services were done. I got plane answer..since you came 10 min late and wanted to go before 2 hrs we only did the oil change
