The staff is friendly and do a good job. Even though they have a credit/ debit card machine they prefer cash. The first time I was there the lady who did my nails kept asking if I didnt have cash. The second time I remembered to take cash.

Great place. Great service. But there is a lady, who is African, who has the worse attitude. Who was the greeter today. Im talking to my nail tech and shes all in our business yelling at me. To the point I had to tell her Im not talking to u lady Im talking to my nail tech. Other than that, a great experience

Terrible pedi job done and they got the nerve to charge me $55. The pictures are the next day I did them. I dont know whether the man was scared to scrub my feet or what. I had to tell him which tools to use and all that and still didnt get it right smh.

First time there and the atmosphere was good. It is a mixture of races that work there from African, Spanish, and Asians.. The only issue is it took 2 hours for a fill in and a pedicure. I love my nails and feet 😍

I wish that I could have given more stars but the service here is so inconsistent. I am a regular customer. Women such as myself come to get pedicures and manicures for grooming purposes and to have a short time to relax. My experience was not relaxing today. I was kept waiting for 15 minutes after my feet were put in the water. The tech did not turn on the air jets or the chair massager. When she finally started on my feet at one point she dug into my skin. My pedicure was ok after that, but not the relaxing experience that I needed. The young techs giggling and laughing while looking at a cell phone does nothing for the experience, either. During one visit one the Asian ladies got into an argument with one of the African ladies that work there, in front of customers. I hope the owner reads this review and works to ensure satisfying and consistent experiences. I hate to have to find another shop. Jenny and Philip always do such a good job!!!

Do NOT go here and waste your money. I got a full set of acrylic nails. My nails were rushed, lumpy, not the same length, and were painted poorly. $50 down the drain. I’ve been here 3-4 times and every time I’ve went my nails turned out either great or just plain terrible.

(11/7/18) First time here. I got a pedicure ($25) and acrylic nails ($28). Mimi did my nails. She was very friendly and made conversation. I like how she grinded my nails good and under my nails (which make them look natural than bulky) she makes sure I got the color I was looking for and even triple coated it without a hassle. Another lady did my toes (didnt get her name), she made sure she cut and scrubbed away all the dead cells and massaged my foot with effort. (Which I liked!) She also made conversation. Here are a few things I dislike...I didnt like they ended up charging me $33 for acrylic. Not sure why since I only got one color and no design (coffin style). (Design was $5 extra for two fingers only)

The place is cute inside and it’s comfortable. All the a staff greet and welcome you. Damaris did my pedicure and added acrylic on both thumb toes so that I can have a nice natural healthy square shape nails. It came out so perfect, I almost considered just clear coat . I will return.

I just started coming to Paradise because Im following my nail tech who has moved to this location, everyone here is so friendly! As soon as you walk in they greet you so warmly! And I LOVVEEEEE Lynn! Thats my girl! ❤❤

The young lady who did my pedicure was awesome. She took her time and massaged my legs and my feet. She even used the hot rocks which helped a lot with my knee that has arthritis in it.

Been looking for a nail salon place that I love. This is my 3rd time here and I love it. Friendly staff who care about their work! Highly recommend. And Ive been to several different nail techs within the store and they all do a good job.

Went here for years! Then my nail tech moved to another location. I had to follow her. The owner at Paradise was once nice until he started demanding we use CASH only! He even put an ATM in there... no way am I going to have fees just to help him out. Im spending a lot of money when I go. You run a business and having a credit card system is business life.

Unprofessional! The guy kept getting distracted and talking which resulted in him making my right hand crooked. Also him and another employee were arguing which made the experience super awkward! My right ring finger has a lump in the polish. The pedicure was okay but the lady didn’t paintball my nails with the clear coat polish. I wouldn’t recommend this place to a friend. A waste of $70.Update: my nails started to fall off a few days later. Do not waste your money here!!!!!

Pedicure, manicure and eyebrow wax was great by Damorys. My complaint concerns the guy who owns the salon. The technician asked him to give me change for a $20 so that I could leave her a tip. He gives her (2) ten dollar bills and I heard him say “she will have to give you a $10 tip. Well I actually wanted to give more than $10 that’s why I needed change for the other $10. How can he tell me how much to tip ???? I spend money getting services and don’t need to deal with this attitude. Also had to withdraw cash from ATM- would not accept my debit card but gave me $2 fee charge. Was so rude to technician telling her she better come to work tomorrow. And usually says good night to me but just ignored me when I left. Really? Too many other salons in the area!

This is my favorite nail shop ever! Kayla always does an amazing job on my nails, their customer service and atmosphere is excellent. From the latest trends to classic styles, they do it all, and always with such a positive attitude.

Johnny is great. Does good work and has a great personality. The place doesn’t have many technicians so I’ll be making an appointment next time to avoid a long wait. Don’t go here. I scheduled an appointment with Lynn and even though Lynn did not have a customer she did not take me....I then had a rushed full set where I felt like I was an inconvenience to the nail tech Li Ali. She did a poor job covering my nails in polish and my design was crooked. She also had terrible customer service. My pedicure took 10 minutes tops was rushed and she didn’t even cover all my nails in clear polish. Terrible management, terrible service, subpar atmosphere and for the price unimpressive technique.

I have been a loyal customer here for 2 years maybe longer and Ann has always did my nails so perfectly I would tip big Because she was just amazing. The last maybe 6 or 8 weeks shes been gone I wrote to her on Instagram and she said she left the country for a while so I said okay and decided to try someone else hoping to get something decent, nope. I went there three times and every time hoping she was back from her trip but she wasnt and every time I left disappointed. I asked for something and they just decided for me that I shouldnt do what I wanted so just went on doing the total opposite and it never came out nice. Ann has moved to another shop in Columbia, cant wait to see her.

Id just first like to say, Im 35 weeks pregnant and its snowing really bad out. Everyone here is great and the customer service is unmatched! When I first arrived, I was greeted and serviced immediately by Andy. What really set them apart was the fact that Andy offered to walk me to my car and brush the snow of for me! Wow! You dont find that too often around here! While the customer service is great, the end results were just eh. My nails have cuts around the cuticles, acrylic on other cuticles. My pedicure looks awful. My toenails are not shaped evenly, and I had pain for about 2-3 days after because the pedicurist ripped out sides of my nails which caused bleeding and swelling. I also didn’t like how you are kind of forced to pay with cash. There’s an ATM inside but if cash is preferred or the only method they will take, then that should be posted or mentioned when calling. Probably won’t be back... which kind of sucks because like i said, their customer service is awesome.

Jon does a good job however the male owner will pressure you into using his ATM to get cash. I told him I didn’t and to pay the fee and he offered to give me the fee back but neglected to offer to give feet Bank will also charge me. When I tried to tip on my card he said no cash only. Other than that “bullying” everything seems fine. It was only my second time. The could keep the floors a little cleaner

I went in for a walk-in pedicure...customer service was excellent. Someone greeted me as soon as I walked in. Jason did a great job with the much overdue pedicure. Massage chairs were comfortable and everyone was friendly. I would definitely recommend.

I called right before they were closing on a Sunday and they took me right away. They did an immaculate job on a gel manicure and Paradise pedicure, not to mention without rushing me at all. I hadnt gotten my nails done in about 7 months, so they were rough to say the least, and they did such a thorough good job for $55. Place is nice, clean and bright, with plenty of parking. Will definitely be back in the future.

The nails they did for me are really good I love everything about them except for the fact the owner changed the price of the nails from $30 to $35 because she said my nails were “long”. Other than that the person who did my nails was so sweet and she did an amazing job.

My manicure and pedicure turned out lovely. My eyebrows turned out great but my eyelashes were not done correctly. The lashes (individuals) did not cover my entire lash line and ended up coming off after 2 days of wearing them. Keep in mind lashes done at any other salon usually last about max of 2 weeks. For nails this is a great place but I suggest going somewhere else to get your lashes done.

Sondra does a great job on me and Nikki. We consistently go back to her every two weeks. The staff is great and its a relaxed atmosphere. Cant go wrong here.

I would give it 0 stars if there was an option. My toes look terrible! There were clients coming in and the lady who did a pedicure for me, rushed and it hurt my toes. They cut it unevenly and the paint job was horrible. She did not take her time and did it aggressively when I asked to do it a little softer. I asked for red and she got a pink color. When I told her that it was pink, she ignored me and kept on painting. She couldn’t even pick the color right! I paid 35 dollars, she asked for a tip and started complimenting me to get money!! Paradise Nails and Spa D-Do is the worst place I’ve ever been to in my whole life. Worst experience ever. Never coming to this place ever again.

This shop used to be my favorite ! i would goto kayla or jayson faithfully . However i had to stop coming here due to the fact that the management is beyond terrible . they will force workers to rush your service ! The managers hire unlicensed workers, i have heard the manager say multiple times that they will hire you with no experience or license! that is unacceptable

Ive been there three times and each time people have been dismissive and uninterested in their job. My polish hasnt lasted a week, and one lady said exactly 7 words to me. Go wash, Fine, and $15. Pay cash. Im extremely courteous, and I tip well, and this has been my experience with 3 techs. Ill just stay with the person from another salon who has done the repair work all three times. I wanted to like the salon, really. Its clean, bright, and well-staffed. Just not for me, I guess.

I love getting my nails done here! I’ve been coming here since 2015 and I’ve had great experiences. Regardless of where I move to, I always come to Paradise! I’ve moved between VA and NC in the past few years, and would wait until I’m visiting MD again to get my nails done here.I only trust Jenny with my pedis/manis. She takes her time, she makes sure that you’re content with the service and nail color, and she’s very friendly. If Jenny isn’t working, I’m not coming in.And Jason is the only one I allow to do my full set/fill-ins. His work is IMMACULATE! I never have to question if he’s going to mess my nails up. Again, if Jason can’t see me, I’ll wait until he can.

Ive been going to paradise nail and spa for a while now and recently ive notice that the technician will ask me for a tip. This is the first time I have been question to take cash out from the ATM when I said that I will be paying with my card. And tonight I was asked if I have cashapp or I should take money out from the ATM. and I was also asked how much tip I was giving. I was really disappointed and felt force to give a tip. I think it is my decision if I want to give a tip or not. I will not be going to paradise nails anymore.

Pedicure was great

I went for a mani pedi before I went on vacation. The girl who did my toes was new. My feet look dryer after my pedicure(however that is possible). I then physically watched as another tech poured the thinner into the polish bottle to finish my toe nails. This led to a sticky finish on my toes that got ruined soon into vacation. I got gel polish on my nails so that it lasted longer. It got chipped within an hour of application.....she also didnt clean up and pretreat my nails/cuticles at all. I will never return.

The looked this salon up, it had good reviews. I came around 9:15 am. The door was wide open and the sign said OPEN. When I walked in the technician was doing a pedicure, she looked at me and said what do you want. I told her I wanted a overlay. She told me they dont open until 10 am. If she came early to do a client, she should have kept the damn door closed and cut off the open sign. Wont be back.

I was misquoted price. Over the phone, the woman told me a full set of acrylics for $20. That seemed decent so I drove there. First a younger girl sat me and started prepping my nails. (It wasnt very thorough prep, they didnt sanitize my hands at ANY point either!!!) Then she applied tips, and right outta the box, no adjusting them. One tip was very obviously crooked but she just ignored it. Then a man came and took over, and it was AT THAT POINT he told me JUST the acrylic would be $33... He insisted that was the price, even though I was told $20. But at this point, theyve got you with these tips glued on and your real nails clipped off and buffed up, with these long tip glued on. Plus I figured I was gonna tip $10 on $20 set anyways so of course I proceeded. The man did pretty good work. He seems to know how to apply acrylic pretty well and he was thorough on the shape (ballerina/coffin) He did what he could to even out the crooked nail but you can still see it. I guess my complaint is the price was jacked up AFTER I was quoted a lower one once I was literally in their hands, the crooked application, and NO sanitization of hands, tools, surfaces.... And after a tip I paid $40 for JUST a set of acrylics: no gel or polish or sparkles like I had in mind when I set out to get my nails done... $40 for JUST plain clearish acrylic nails.

Just did pedicure and eyebrows and never again. I read reviews about people saying they left with feet drier than when they went in and I see it myself then the lady did my eyebrows and slipped with the wax so now there is a stripe in my eyebro . They told me my eyebrow was like this before. I had taken a pic right before coming in and I showed them that this was not how it was. I will now look to go somewhere else to get everything redone. Will never use this place again.

My first trip was OK!I went to this place to try it out....This place looks pretty busy in weekend. I was greeted fine and was given seat in next 10 minutes. I got Meni-Pedi package. The girl who did my work was seems to be tired and didnt care much about scrapping the dead skin off of my heals (which was the reason I went there) ..she put tone of oil and run her hands through like one time to pretend that she did massage but didnt really do it and left my legs super oily I personally think based on my other experiences she really didnt file nails properly or really cared to clean the nail which was splinted.Other places I go they normally file it so split is fine and smooth. I had to ask her to fix few thing few times. then it came to hand and I had one nail which was splinted pretty good. Same...didnt really care to do much their either. I feel like without expertise I do better job at home then what she did. I asked the owner and told him that I really was not happy with services and he said he saw her do everything and she did it good....was reluctant to take a note on improvement.That being said I saw few folks/staff working around my chair and they were doing awesome job so I am going to try again with different person next time hoping to recover from my 1st experience.

I come here whenever i decide to get nail word done. However recently its taking a bad turn. I too was pressured to tip. Which I had already planned doing but I was pushed to use the ATM. I was pushed so much to the point where they offered to knock my bill down to cover the ATM fees.. NO THANK YOU! This was the 2nd pushed to tip but the first time pushed to use the ATM. Also theres a new youg girl there. As I know shes new, I tried to be patient with her. The boy who works there and also the son of one of the ladies who works there was a distraction to her as he kept talking to her, taking her focus off me and even just sat and watched her probably making her nervous. I stated to the both of them SEVERAL times that I do not one gel but still ended up with gel. When buffering my fingernails, she did it so much the nail started to burn. In my 15 years of getting my nails done Ive never experienced that. Also the heal of my feet are dryer than before. It may be to the fact that she kept scrubbing my foot with a dry brush instead of dipping it back into the water to rewet. I dont know if Ill be coming back.

The first the I went here was great. I came in because the previous place I went to did a horrible job. It was fixed very well by nicki and I was so happy I was willing to change salons. I came back for a gel fill in with the same person and the experience was ok, but a bit sloppy. The acrylic was uneven in places and shape was a bit off as well. Came back three days later because a nail broke and three others started chipping. I guess she had an attitude due to the fact that she had to fix it and did a bad rush job. I will not be back.

I get pedicures here and love the shop. Everyone is so nice.

The owner is awful. He makes an terrible job he made this tiny cut with the electric nail drill on most of my fingers. The gel paint on my nails lasted 5 days. He says that they dont do refunds and he was blaming me for the nail polish from falling off. He says so.e people do it on purpose to change the nail color even though that wasnt my case, he shouldnt say something like that to a customer. He requests for cash and if you dont have cash he asks if you could use the ATM that they have in the salon which is really weird to me. Im not going there anymore.

I dont understand why service has completely gone out of the window these days but businesses dont give a crap about their clients.I went in to get tips and gel for a French manicure. She rushed and put two of the tips on crooked. When I pointed it out, instead of making it right she tried to tell me that my finger and nail grow to the hard left. When I told her that Ive had my nails done many times before with no issues she argued with me that it was my finger that was the problem. I got upset, she fixed it and surprise! My finger doesnt take a hard left. She rushed and Im not happy. They are all different lengths and I can already tell they wont last the week.Upon leaving, I tried to pay with my card and even though they do take cards, she argued with me that she would prefer cash and made a scene with me about it. Told me she would have to write my card number down even though they have a swipe machine. Forcing me to take the 2 dollar surcharge for the ATM.The materials used for my manicure were not sterile and theres no telling when the last time they cleaned had been. Disgusting place. No credentials visible.
