We Hired Genesis Carpet & Upholstery to clean a Sofa and Love Seat and clean the Fringe on two area carpets. Today the Sofa and Love seat look like Zebras. The Fringe was to be bleach white I attempt to brush out the stripes with a soft brush without success, the same for the fringe on the rugs. When we called this morning, all they said this is normal and the stripes will disappear over time. I called to schedule an appointment and set the appointment for between 8-10 am and wrote the time down on my calendar. On the day of my appointment, I waited and waited to get a call saying they were on the way to clean the upholstery in my car. About 20 minutes after 10am, I called them back to verify the appointment I had written down, and was told I had the wrong time. The person I talked to said they scheduled me for between 12-2pm, even though I made sure the time I had written down was correct the first time I called. Waited some more. 2pm came around and still did not receive a call saying someone was on their way. Never received a call to reschedule or to cancel.

Honest review:I was given a quote of $79 for steam deep cleaning for four rooms by Alice over the phone. Stated technician, Eli, will be at my place 2pm - 4pm. Tech came on time at 3pm. I told him the price I’m going to pay for the four rooms and he agreed. Later he shows me the difference between a deep clean with enzymes (definitely better) vs regular steam deep clean. Obviously an up sell tactic. Now that cost to change it to enzymes is $229. I obviously said no to the up sell and the guy had an attitude about it. I didn’t feel comfortable working with them any longer so I said let’s just cancel before he did anything else. Now, they said cancellation charge is $39. I can’t cancel now because of that hidden cancellation charge. Seriously, the work done is less than half an hour to vacuum 4 rooms with a wet vac.. $79 for half an hour of work that doesn’t even take out the stains. They have false advertising, rude, and if you want to cancel, you can’t because they will charge you for it. I am not doing business with them and I highly advise whoever is reading this does the same. I will be talking to the owner of the company, Nathan.

I have yet to find a decent carpet cleaning company. This company had good reviews so I thought the service would be fair. When I called to get a quote, the woman I spoke to seemed courteous and knowledgeable. She gave me fair quote and I booked the appointment. The technician showed up on time, but it was only one guy. He then gave me a different quote which was double my previous quote. I understand that a quote isn’t exact but double seemed extreme. I expressed my confusion and was told about the difference between “deep cleaning” and shampooing (both of which were priced much more than what I was quoted so I guess I was quoted fo basic vacuuming?). My schedule is so difficult, I reluctantly agreed to the price because I had taken off work for it. Then when tech was done he quickly tried to get me to sign and pay, so he could leave. I refused until I saw his work. I’m glad I did because NONE of the stains in my carpet were removed. I understand that not all stains are removable, but he got none of them out and wasn’t even going to mention what he was not able to accomplish. The service was unprofessional, overpriced, and substandard. I would not recommend.

Now I have to call and hire someone else. If I would have been told over the phone at scheduling that it would be $159, I would have paid it. Avoid this company. They did not do a great job, I could have done better. They have affordable prices but when they come out to ”inspect your carpet” to make suggestions they add on. So I paid $129 for two apartment bedroom ”deep cleaning” they left the carpet soggy took over two days to dry and my son room still smelled. They tell you 30 days guarantee, so I asked to redo and they have rescheduled about 3x. So here I go moving things to be ready for them to reschedule, its been frustrating. I dont recommend them due to poor customer service and misleading advertisement.

My carpet was very dirty from general wear and I was worried that it was going to look that way forever but the carpet cleaners did an amazing job and got all of the stains out., I would Definitely recommend Genesis Carpet Cleaning service and would definitely use them again.

Genesis Carpet Cleaning service did an amazing job in cleaning our badly stained carpets. The cleaners finished cleaning the carpets in both my bedrooms and now, the once-badly stained carpets look brand new. I would surely use them again.

BEWARE False ads meant to bait you in then they change the prices! They advertise $60 driveway cleaning per spot then try to charge me $500! What a joke at least I know NEVER TO CALL THEM FOR MY CARPETS OR ANYTHING ELSE....shady business

These cleaners were great. Runners on the stairs hadnt been cleaned in years and now they look great. They carefully removed a few tricky stains. Had an issue with one of the carpets being too crusty after the cleaning, but they came back quickly and fixed the problem. I would definitely use them again.

GCC did an excellent job. Very friendly and a hard working team of cleaners. I thought our carpet was on its last legs and was in pretty bad shape but these cleaners were able to remove stains that I would have thought to be impossible to remove. A service well worth the money.

My carpet looks better than what it was, but some stains didn’t come out. I thought the technician would vacuum the carpet first then start shampooing. But no. When I was speaking to the receptionist she told me it will be $69, but when the technician came he said to shampoo it will be $150, Apparently the $69 is only for picking up dust which was not explained to me over the phone. I came out the pocket more than intended.

Unprofessional and discourteous company. My appointment was between 2-4. At 3 I called and the phone answering service said they would be here When they finish their job in 30-45 minutes. Called twice again at again at 4 and 4:30 and got the same reply. At 5 I called to cancel. Took time off work and had to pay daycare overtime because they never showed up. I would not recommend Genesis Carpet Cleaning.
