Thursday afternoon my 1 out of 2 AC units stopped working. I tried and self diagnosed it by watching some you tube videos and DIYs. However, this one i just had to call in a professional.Contacted Sierra Air because they were the Factory installer of the AC unit that came with my home. Called them at 7pm and quoted me that a technician will be available at my house by 10pm. I was very happy that they had an after hours technicians available.Sure enough at 10 pm Matt D. showed up. He immediately inspected the AC unit and concluded that my Fan Motor went out. He explained in detail what options we had, the pros & cons with different outcomes and also offered maintenance packages available.After consulting with my Commander and chief, we decided to replace all the Fan Motors to make sure all the Units will work properly moving forward. To complete the Service we also added the maintenance package to include the Heater unit as well.Great customer service experience with the call center and prompt response from Matt D. service technician.Overall: Very satisfied and definitely recommended.

AC went out! They came out pretty soon and...it was the compressor! The tech Jonathan showed me the issue. It wasnt turning on. He used a quick start assist switch to give it a kick and it started up! BUT...it was making some bad noises. Needed replacement. Other neighbors had similar issues with their compressor. Bad batch years ago when the homes were built? He ordered the part and I scheduled the work and they came and replaced it. I also took his suggestion on adding the quick start/hard start assist switch to BOTH my compressors (two story house, 2 compressors). Now my lights no longer dim when the AC comes on and its supposed to help the compressor last longer. Should have been part of the ORIGINAL install in my opinion. Also that surge of electricity that dims your lights is bad for your other appliances in the house as well.To sum it up, my AC is now working better than ever. Thank You Sierra!

Spent 2 hours on hold with nobody answering “24/7” service line. To be treated with short answer and told that they can come visit the next day. My AC went out in a 1 yr old system installed by them and was treated with zero help or urgency. I do not recommend using them. They have multiple numbers to call that lead to the same recording and no help.Update: our compressor is bad in a 16 month old unit brand new house. We have spoken with “Susan” multiple times to have zero answers. We get misleading or no communication told 5-7 days and then spoke with Susan to be told 3 weeks then 1 hr later told the next day. They need to get on the same page with accurate information. We are being charged $1100 for labor when they preach they have the best leading warranty’s then offer a discount if you join the monthly membership that actually ends up costing more in the long run… the only credit I give is to the tech we have dealt with Matt he was awesome and personable unfortunately management needs some help with how to deal with people. Obviously anyone with an ac out is not going to be happy so understanding how to handle that would be helpful. Very disappointed on how monotone and uncaring every single person we have spoken with has been. Hopefully this changes by the time we can get back into our house!

My AC stopped working, and I called Sierra about it since thats the company the builder used. I was very pleasantly surprised with the professionalism, and the thorough explanation by Joe (the technician who helped me).Same as what the others say, he had his mask on while inside my home and took his booties on and off every time he entire and left my home. He also gave me a thorough explanation about what part he needed to replace in my AC unit, and its function.Joe was also very patient and answered all of my questions. I signed up for the membership because I was very happy with the service he provided. The membership gets you maintenance 2x a year, 15% off services, priority in service, and some other perks for $16 a month.I liked Joe so much, I asked if he can always be the technician that comes for service or maintenance when necessary.

These guys are the greatest. Called them and they sent someone out that afternoon. Eric diagnosed the system and informed me of my options,which I chose to upgrade my entire system. Fantastic installers. John, Hugo, and Daniel were extremely professional and went beyond what I expected. They made sure everything was wired, sealed, and working properly. Not only did they clean up theyre area, they swept up half my garage. I cant say it enough, these guys are the best.

I recently had plumbing issue in our house. Other company was trying to charge us $2,000 to replace parts I believed were not the ones causing issues.. I was skeptical. I contacted Sierra Air and Ruben helped us out with his assistant Hayden. The problem was solved without having to replace unnecessary parts and saves us a lot.Yesterday, came another issue with plumbing in masters bathroom, it is emergency this time. The floor was flooded from overflowing toilet bowl. I contacted Ruben and he came right away.Ruben is our hero. My family is very thankful to get to know this guy. He is just amazing.

For over 10yrs I have trusted this company so when it was time to replace my whole system I trusted them. After 2 months of owning the new system problems have occurred, first was the a/c system overheating and making a horrible noise. I called and they responded quickly but could not find the issue, tested it and it ran fine so they thought maybe a fluke.Next day I discovered that my upstairs thermostat even when turned completely off it still cools the area by over 10 degrees below even the desired temp when it is turned on. For over 24hrs I have watched it pretty much constantly run and have called the company as I do not want the new system to overheat and keep running up my electric bill. They responded that they can come in 3 days and to turn the power off to the ac system in 111 degree weather. This is their system they had a contractor install and I am concerned they are damaging my new unit unnecessarily by waiting so long. So now I sit and wait to see how much my bill goes up with it running at minimum 72hrs straight and if it damages my new unit.Update: Luckily I did not have to wait much longer as they got a tech out a lot sooner, however the contractor who installed the unit crossed my wiring causing the issue with my zones so this was a issue for 2 months before getting caught, how much has this truly cost me? This shouldnt have happened at all but I am thankful for Levi checking the first issue with the outside unit then Jose correcting the wiring issue. A fairly simple fix but it caused a lot of unnecessary frustration, stress and added use of electricity as well as cost. Now lets see if it is really a more efficient unit now that it is fixed and should be running correctly.

To begin, I had a new Goodman air conditioner installed in January 2018 by a company I wont mention (ok, it was 5 Star Services). Its been a lemon since the day it was installed and I have had nothing but trouble with it. 5 Star had no clue how to fix it and could not (maybe would not) help with the 10 year warranty I bought. So I switched to Goettl. Goettl was no better than 5 Star. All Goettl wanted to do was sell me stuff. I was on the phone with their finance manager more than with their technicians.About 10 months ago I switched to Sierra and so far (fingers crossed) they have it running smoothly. The technicians that have been here (Jonathon, Derek & Josue) all seem to be knowledgable. I would love to give them a 5 star rating but it simply hasnt been long enough.

I called John my service guy and he got my appointment first thing this morning with Ryan a Comfort Specialist. They are squeezing me in Tomorrow to have new unit installed! One of my air conditioning units stopped working last Sunday night and when we checked it, the fan was frozen. I was worried that no one would be able to get to us that evening to repair and get us cool again. I called Sierra and they sent out a service member within the hour! Jeremy was on time, polite, professional. and very helpful. He was knowledgeable about the repair needed and was able to get it taken care of within a short amount of time. Jeremy also told me about the service agreement so we could ensure that our units are taken care of annually. I appreciated Jeremys knowledge and service. I would 100% recommend Jeremy and Sierra.

The techs are always professional, willing to explain the work they are doing and take photos of the system to share issues if encountered. I renew my SAM agreement yearly because I believe that a well maintained HVAC system functions better and lasts longer.

Sierra did an excellent job in replacing our 16 yr old A/C unit and Furnace. Shawn (advisor) was very professional and pleasant; Paul (technician) was very thorough with his findings with accompanying pictures; and their installers - Jose, Chris and Ismael finished the job in half a day. WOW! Kudos to the Sierra team! Highly recommended!

Sierra attempted to scam us for services and parts not required, beware. Sierra came to our house when the downstairs A/C stopped blowing. After going up into the attic and also inspecting the outside compressor they stated the blower motor inside was burned out and the outside compressor was dead because of this. They claimed the equipment was too old to repair so we needed a new system. Otherwise we would need to wait months for parts. They had another tech (salesman) arrive to try to talk us into a new $11k system just for the downstairs. I told them Ill think about it and then they still required that I pay an inspection fee of $89. I called another company named ICE who sent someone out immediately to give a second opinion. The tech from ICE found that Sierra had unplugged the unit in the attic, left wires exposed, and also left a control panel dangling from its wires. There are pictures to prove it. He reconnected everything and the system started right up. The tech from ICE told me I think someone tried to sabotage your equipment. ICE did not charge us a penny, but they did earn my respect and future business when I need maintenance later. I tried to contact Sierra for a refund but they ignored my request. I will tell anyone needing air conditioning service to avoid these scam artists. Check out the other reviews elsewhere, this same exact scenario has happened to many others.

Annual maintenance of HVAC system. They check AC before or during Summer & Heating system still appropriate times. They offer an annual Sierra Club membership at low monthly rates which allows systems checks & reduced rates in any repair parts if needed during the year. An invaluable service. Techs arrive on time with proper Covid protection as well as foot covers for their shoes. Pedro was courteous & made sure he explained thoroughly what was needed to ensure optimum operation of our equipment.

The good they showed up 2 hours early that deserves one star. Now the bad the serviceman took 2 minutes to check the outside unit, then proceeded to the attic where he informed me the unit and material were outdated and needed to be replaced. He then said I should get a whole new unit. Cost $12000. I then paid him around a $100 dollars for that great news, and told him I would get a second opinion. My second opinion saved me over $8000. It was only the compressor that needed to be fixed.Be careful and always get a second opinion, Sierra ac is not to be trusted.

Made appointment. Waited. They called asking to make the appointment earlier in the day on the morning of the appointment. I said ok. Not only were they late for my 12 noon appointment, they were a no show. Poor communication. I called asking where the tech is and got transferred 4 times. This business needs a shake up from the top down. Poor business model. Take some classes on customer service.

Everything about Sierra Air is professionally handled. Appointments are easily made, and changeable if something comes up, they always confirm the day before, and technician called prior to arriving at my home to say he was on the way. Very professional and wore shoe coverings and a mask when entering my home, explained what service he was performing and confirmed that i wanted to change the filter. Service was done quickly and efficiently. Asked if I had any other questions and I signed off on the billing and paid. Daniel was courteous and thanked me when he left. We had Sierra, through Costco come out to assess our 25-year-old downstairs air conditioner, which was not working at the moment, for replacement. It still has to be replaced soon, but the technician, Eric, got it running again for now. He was very knowledgeable and courteous, and showed me exactly what he was doing. So I have been having Sierra come service my system every year for 3 years now. I just wanted to let everyone know how great their service is and how awesome Eric Otero is. They arrived promptly and were extremely courteous and professional. Eric even had dog treats for my dog Pebbles so they became fast friends. They proceeded to tell me exactly what they were going to do and how long it would take. They also put booties on before entering my residence.In addition to providing me excellent service on my unit, they offered me some other options to make my unit more efficient and to maintain My system for maximum life. I was extremely happy with their service and will use them again as well as purchase their home air filtration system and other system saving products they suggested. Well done Sierra!!

We had our routine maintenance performed today by David. He was truly wonderful! Very professional kind, courteous and thorough. He provided a detailed invoice with recommendations/ prices and what service was provided during the visit. He had his mask and shoe covers on and maintained social distancing the whole time. Their service is amazing! The receptionist i talked to was so sweet and nice. I expected to be told that they couldnt squeeze me in until another day and was pleasantly surprised when they told me they could send someone out that same day.. Jared came out a couple of hours later to help us out when the AC upstairs went out. He was so quick and knowledgeable and fixed our problem without charging us for anything else beside the fee for them to come out. After failed attempts by 2 other companies (for a total of 4 visits) through my home warranty company, I finally called Sierra when the problem persisted. They sent a technician out the same day - within about 4 hours. Unheard of during Vegas summers. Tyler Collins did all the repair work and was able to fix the problem and more within minutes of arriving. He was so professional, kind, and knowledgeable! I was so impressed. Sierra Air Conditioning & Heating is the one to call for servicing as well as for summer/winter maintenance of your HVAC cooling and heating system. We found them to be a company we can rely on and their seasonal tune-up plan is the way to go for $16 a month. Sierra’s friendly customer service reps always call to remind us twice a year that our seasonal maintenance is due. Josue Arciga, service technician, has been doing our seasonal maintenance and we are very satisfied with his work. Josue always explains what he’s going to be doing each step of the way. When he is done he goes over what he found. With his recommendation we decided to purchase Sierra’s upgraded filters which lasts for six months or longer. We are happy to have found a reliable, knowledgeable, and dedicated service technician who works for a top notch company.

I trust them and know they will tell me the truth of what they see with my units. Another thing that is wonderful about this company is they do water heaters and plumbing. Trustworthy technicians, reasonable prices, reliable service. Jonathan arrived for my same day service order and provided a thorough inspection of my entire heating and cooling system. We watched as he used a temperature gauge on every air vent, a multimeter on the fan capacitors to measure the operating tolerance, confirmed no loose connections and wires, he verified the accuracy of our thermostat which was accurate within 1 1/2°, and he was respectful to our home. He used shoe covers every single time he entered, and removed them every time he exited. His manner of speech was polite, and his written invoice was both thorough and legible. He explained our maintenance plan well and he made a clear distinction between recommendations that are time sensitive compared to service options that can be delayed. Jonathan with Sierra LLC is one of few people I can confidently recommend to my family and friends for heating and air-conditioning needs.

Basically charged me $89 to say I need to replace my a/c for $11,0000 for an upstairs 600 square foot space. Jeremy Brackett the technician didnt let me get a word in and was way too aggressive to be in the customer service industry. The whole appointment was about 15 minutes, said I probably have an ice block in my attic and didnt even check my furnace. This is a terrible company, they price gouge and use scare tactics. I would never use this company!!

I got Sierra to come out for a check up on my heater. Just bought the house 6 months ago. And just wanted to get ot checked to be safe. And man am I glad I did. Tyler was supper professional and thorough. He was in my attic about half hour checking everything. Then went out to do take a look at the ac. He found some bad stuff with my heater and showed me with many pictures. He took the time to explain what we were looking at and then went back up in the attic to check the carbon levels leaking out. With what he found he gave us the best and safest rough to take. The knowledge and professionalism provided make this place awesome. Prices are awesome

My thermostat had no power so I went to check the breakers first to find out they were all on. My wife called Sierra Air and because we have a service contract, they said that they will be out as soon as possible. Within 2 minutes the technician called and said I am on the way. Now that service right there.When he got here he introduced himself as Michael Johnson and I told him that we had this problem before and we think that we know what it is. He then said Okay and proceeded to check the part on the Air conditioner. He said the part was not the problem and was perfect.He then said that there is a fuse in the system in the Attic that might be the problem but it was perfect too. A few minutes later he came down to show me that he found the problem. He took a picture to show me where there were wires that were burned out. He said that it was giving power to the unit but not the thermostat. He said that he can fix the wires and a new connector and everything will be okay. He was right and now the AC is doing great.I just love the service that is provided by Sierra Air and the knowledgeable staff plus thetechnicians that come to my house.Thank You for your service and there is NO other company that I would ever have to service my Ac and Heating System.Thank You,Mark Gaffen

We have a twice yearly maintenance contract on our HVAC system. We had an appointment for our spring maintenance, but was contacted by Sierra to see if our appointment could be rescheduled due to the impact the heat was having on so many units in the Las Vegas valley. It was a no brainer to say yes because our home had nice cool air. When the impact of the non-working a/c units in the valley subsided to a dull roar Sierra contacted us to reschedule the routine maintenance. They came out and found no issues. However, a few weeks later that completely changed. We contacted them and that same day they had a technician (Levy) come to our home. A major component (under warranty) had failed. A replacement was unavailable that night, but coolant was added to try and keep us cool until the replacement arrived the next day. The concern by Levy and all involved at Sierra was above and beyond. At one point, there were three technicians diligently working to bring our a/c back online. We cannot let it be left unsaid the seriousness and priority from top management on down about how hard they worked to take care of us (and our three fur babies) as well as our unit. We are so happy we passed our slotted time for the maintenance appointment to help others because the good karma was paid back far beyond the appreciation we can convey in this review. Yesterday was my scheduled periodic HVAC tune up. The technician, Mr. Josue Arciga, arrived on time. He was quite courteous and presented himself in a very professional and confident manner. I wasn’t expecting any major issues with my hvac as the compressor was just replaced the previous year. I was ready to shut down any kind of recommendations. But hey, Mr Arciga talked me into getting a surge protector for my HVAC without being pushy. I did consult one of my old buddies in the army who specialized in refrigeration and he did confirm that surge protection is one of the best investments to extend the life of your compressor. Hey sometimes, the techs don’t BS...and in some instances, you’ll have to defer to the experts. On the whole, this company is fair and reasonable...maybe a tad pricey. Well, that’s the price of living in the desert I guess.

I called Sierra to obtain a second opinion about my home HVAC system, which my current service provider said was in need of replacement. Rob Dais, Comfort Advisor, responded to my home and provided a detail estimate of replacing my current system. He was very thorough and took time to explain how HVAC systems work and problems that can be associated with it. Before agreeing to replace Rob suggested a Sierra Service Technician come out and evaluate what exactly was wrong with the system. Now most of you may wonder why I didnt start with the evaluation first. Well my current provider assured me one AC was busted and everything needed replacement. Greg Sabataso, Sierra Technician came to my home and spent over 3 hours doing a complete diagnostics on the cooling and heating. At the conclusion of his review of the system he informed me that the system was operable but did have some minor issues that could improve performance and possibly extend the life of the AC compressors. The system was not in actual need of replacement as told by my provider. Both Rob and Greg spent a great deal of time, effort and thoroughness at my home. Their honesty, professionalism and dedication to customer service was beyond reproach.

Tyler responded immediately to our call. He diagnosed the issue as a bad motor within moments and asked if we would like to move forward with repair. It is important to note that he was very easy going and not pushy at all. He explained our options thoroughly which helped us make an informed decision.We decided to move forward with the repair, and this is where Tyler really showcased his skill set. He repaired the motor within 30 minutes, and less than 30 minutes after that, the house had cooled 20 degrees. Tyler was polite, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He made it a point to offer his expertise at every turn, but in a way that allowed us to make the final decision without feeling like we were being tricked or pressured.I would highly recommend Sierra Air to anyone. Their service is second-to-none and they deliver a quality product. This is not the first time we have called on them for help, and if the need arises in the future, it will not be our last.
