The staff there is excellent. Its always clean. They could update a few things, but overall everything works just the same as other gyms nearby. The spirit of working out is definitely present. I always see people minding their business ... except early mornings. The members have formed family like relationships over the many years. Im OK with them talking. Those are the ones honestly that bring the workout spirit into the gym, because they get it in when they arent enjoying each others presence. Again, great management and team working there.

Im a travel technician so I was look for somewhere to work out in different town. I found LA to be a good fit for that reason. Signed up and staff was great. I found out that a lot of people in this gym due not re rack there weight for some reason, weight are all over the gym and you have to look for a set almost ever time. That is the big problem I find at this gym.

Its OK. Too dimly lit and not enough weights. Instead they have like 1000 treadmills and bikes, that Ive never seen close to full. Would make sense to get rid of some of them and expand the weight area. I prefer the Tinley and Alsip locations for those reasons.

Machines all dirty and rusty a d must bring own cloth and spray to ensure you dont catch anything from person before you this is truly disgusting signed up 2 days ago brought in my vip guest just to turn around and head to planet fitness let alone there dumbell rack is a joke all over the place and the weights even at same weight are diff size and shape. Will be returning to cancel this

Everything was so nice in here DONT see why they got any bad reviews at all place was clean bathrooms was good and even the pools was clean it took me 5 minutes to go and sit down and join 25$ a month bd can bring 2 people

I am very satisfied and happy with the service i got when i signed up. Very nice human being the GM (Melissa) assisted me with all of my questions and concerns about the gym. Super friendly and caring all the staff that welcomed me in the gym they actually cared about my fitness goals i would highly recommend 👍🏾

So apparently the old LA Fitness is now called Esporta. Every thing is pretty much the same. They keep it clean for everyone to work out. I just signed up and its not super expensive. Very nice.

LA Fitness Center is a good place to get a workout and take a swim. It also has a sauna and whirl pool. I dont have to pay because I jave Silver Sneakers

This gym was not the “serious” gym I was looking for. The energy in this gym was more about socializing and not about exercising. I called in advance to schedule for a tour and talk about a membership. When I got there the person I was set up to speak with was already seeing someone else. I politely waited on the side not long before being harassed by a gym member insisting that I MUST workout with him and I MUST train him? His intentions were friendly but it was alittle bit much for me. I’m used to a serious environment where people mind their business and come to get their workouts in and are serious about their fitness. I peeped the floor meanwhile I waited only to see loud gatherings of people socializing and being disruptive. To each his own but this is not the environment or the energy I was looking for. I darted out of there after 5 minutes. Nope can’t do it

Pablo is by far one of the best employees as soon as I needed help with a new membership he jumped right on it and helped me with max efficiency.

Members are diverse in a nice way. Clean and organized. Medium size but well distributed.

Absolutely horrible equipment wise. no equioment had changed ir updated in 10 years. the dumbell rack is empty at 5am at opening. meaning they are not here.

You know there are like alot of machines but please stock up in some new dumbbells I dont see any 15s 10s 5s or 20s thats the only thing bad about the gym

Very low-end. Im only a member for the racquetball courts and their close proximity to my residence. Weights are all over the floor/machines, members running between machines because theres no track, garbage everywhere. Visit LA Fitness in other Chicagoland locations and you will see a HUGE difference.Ive spoken with management numerous times but they dont care. I asked if they know what their Google rating is and they actually did. Then I asked what are they going to do about it. And he replied well theres nothing we can really can do.I would not recommend this club.

Half the free weights are always missing, and are littered all throughout the gym. One of the worst LA Fitnesss I go to, unfortunately due to proximity.

Stopped in on our way to Detroit from California with my dad. The gym was great! Great equipment and the gym followed cleanliness guidelines with distancing and cleaning products. James did an awesome job at setting us up with a guest pss and made the whole situation seamless. Highly recommend this gym.

I never been inside this place, we use their parking lot as a meeting spot before we ride our motorcycle.

I met with Diego, a salesperson at this LA Fitness location. He was very helpful and knowledgeable in the services that LA Fitness has to offer including promotions. I recommend for anyone to look for Diego if youre thinking about visiting or joining LA Fitness.

Its 815 on a Saturday morning and the doors are still locked. Completely unprofessional

Crystal is the operations manager and she is highly unprofessional and rude, but uses “protocol “ to me rude to customers. Crystal doesn’t use common sense and lacks the empathy it takes to be a good leader. I’m sure she is amazing at her job but terrible with communication and public relations with customers. If Crystal is working at this location then none of us will come back here again. She should worry about how bad the gym smells first. How dirty it is, how mess the gym is, and how you will get infected with tetanus here before Covid. Only go to a Signature club and save this place for the past.

The dirtiest LA fitness I’ve seen ever. The lockers are never cleaned out. The weights are never in the right spot like seriously never!! They don’t even have the complete weight set. Kind of sad honestly how bad it is managed compared to the other ones. Look in the lockers before you sign up.

I enjoy going its alway nice and clean. They suppies hand sanitizer and cleaner and paper towels to clean the machines before and after also the machine are set up in a social distance fashion.

Weights are always not where theyre suppose to be, can never find a matching set, the equipment is pretty old, and it just seems like this la fitness has been forgotten about. I have been to several la fitness across the country and this one seems to be one of the worst

I come here everyday after work and I like the fact that its not crowded. I can workout in peace and know that no one is watching me. I also like doing the water aerobics whenever I have time.

This is a truly great community and facility to come to. There are plenty of machines and the facilities are well kept. What draws me toward this place are the workers, general manager, and the people who attend the gym are extremely polite and helpful. You can really feel at home here. The people are understanding, helpful, and just wonderful. This is a great place.

Since opening back up during the pandemic proper precautions was said to be in place which I believe are up til you past the frint desk. It says we are required to weqr mask and I understand slipping your mask down in your immediate workout area but people are walking all willy nilly over the whole gym with not a mask in sight and none of the workers are saying a single thing. The regulations during this pandemic need to be strictly enforced. I believe and although there are signs on certain equipment to keep ppl from congregating, ppl are just moving the signs and once again the worlers are nit saying anything.

The mens locker room consistently smells! This problem can easily be corrected by more frequent cleaning and sanitizing!

THIS LOCATION HAS A VARIETY OF MACHINES & WEIGHTS. IT ALSO HAS A POOL, SAUNA AND DECENT CLASSES.

Its rarely clean. It opens at 5am and weights are all over the place and they have a very limited supply.

Time to upgrade the gym.

Convenient for me to go to this location but it needs a total makeover. They should get a whole new staff first. Except for Ruth, shes sweet. Its dirty most of the time and the weights are never put back in the right spot.

The problem is they never upgrade there machines. They have some newer machines for personal trainers but not for everyone else use. The shower area also can be cleaner. It is conveniently located right off the expressway. I don’t like they allow outside vendors to come in and solicit you. I feel like this is not what I come in the gym for.

I called LAFitness for information about the facility and they treated me with the most friendly and professional respect they took the time to explain to me. We even laugh about Fannie Mae being across the street! I’m excited to go to the LA Fitness in Lansing IL!!!

Workers do not enforce masks or proper cleaning of machines and dumbbells. Cardio machines are out of date and worn out.

This LA fitness is a decent size and has a good amount of equipment but it needs to be updated. Most of the machines are older and rusty. This facility is also needs to be cleaned. Early in the morning the locker rooms are nasty so its apparent no one cleans at night or during the day. The only cleaning that happens is a lady who wipes down the machines in the morning (while people are on them).

I work out at several LA locations and this place is by far the worst location. Its just plain awful. I even travel out of state and no other location is in this bad of condition or do they allow members to wreck the facility.Note: Guys listening to loud offensive rap music on phones. Weights everywhere on the floor. Weights on equipment because no one re-racks the equipment after theyre done. Gym bags everywhere. Broken equipment. Staff F-.

New management style is making strives in trying to better the location. But its not old enough to have this many issues. The locker rooms smell awful ...like there is no ventilation, the floor has run down carpets breeding fungus and the free weight organization is still non-existent

The worst gym I’ve ever been to. Everything is dirty. Weights are NEVER racked. When I expressed my concerns with management he agreed with everything and sat on his phone playing a game as I was talking to him. I was also always bothered by a man selling cable and another man selling perfume. I’ve never been to a gym where they allowed people to sell cable and perfume. Canceled my membership.

Signed Up for Personal Training; I have had two trainers, both were good, both fired. Hate I signed contract, Joshua, VP of PT will not and have not returned my call. Member Services consistently says he will call; they wont give me his email or direct contact information on him. Wrote certified letters, etc. I can go on and on.....

While I’m happy there is a sauna, pool, and hot tub this gym is typically dirty and smells terrible. I got out of the pool the other day and had a rash on my arm, the hot tub has grime and other water damage around it making it uncomfortable and keeping me from wanting to use it. The carpet in the main exercise area needs to be cleaned. A lot of be machines have rust on them. I wouldn’t recommend this location to anybody. I’m happy Planet Fitness is coming because living in Lansing and this is the only option here I am very unhappy

I frequent several LA Fitness and this is my last choice I only go to this LA Fitness when Im on a time constraint. This LA Fitness is consistently dirty understaffed the equipment is non-operable many times and it takes weeks for them to fix something theyre overcrowded and theyre nasty the womens restroom locker room stays nasty throughout the entire gym theres trash on the floor and it doesnt matter what time you go this time was mid-morning but it really doesnt matter what time you go its always dirty Im very disappointed in this location.

Nothing special here. Kind of crowded during after work hours but thats to be expected. Staff is not very friendly except for one lady who sits at the front desk and always says have a good workout. Usually clean and neat.

Very very very difficult place to work out. Patrons stand around talking, sitting on machines with their phones. The childcare center lacks involvement from staff. Again, staff is on their phones, the toys are dated. Its a room with a person over the age of 18 to look at your child while you exercise. Management please consider these comments and make appropriate changes.

Love that there is a pool, racquetball court, cycling studio, anything you could want! However, as a lap swimmer, the pool is wayyyy too warm. Other reviewers have said it’s dirty, but compared to other gyms I’ve been too I would say it’s not bad. It’s just dirty outside (trash, etc). However, weights are not usually re-racked, which I believe should be more regularly enforced by staff as there are signs that say to “Please Re-rack your weights.” I’ll stay with Omni.

Scam. They are criminals. So many hidden fees. Extra charge to join another yearly membership charge PLUS a charge to quit. These are on top of your monthly expected charges. The name sounded familiar so I thought they were reputable but I was wrong. Total crooks. Stay away!!!

Plenty of fitness equipment. Great conditioning classes especially with trainer Cherese she is committed to push you to reach your goals! There is a smoothie bar. No towel service so bring your own and toiletries.

April D. is hands down the best thing going for this gym. Shes the best Zumba instructor by far that Ive taken in the south suburbs. Other than that Im so over these gyms and their filth, old equipment, restrictions and contracts. April got this place 3 stars. Shes worth all 5, but Im rating the gym right now.

Locker room/bathrooms could always be better...,people walk out of the shower room into the lockeroom nude(they have towels but they be on their shoulders), no respect for the rest of the clients thats using the facility.

Funny how people are making complaints. Its a gym it should be loud and up beat. That should motivate you. Stay at home and put in a workout video if you want comfortbility. The locker room smells. Damn if 30 men workout out in then walk into any small room Im sure the room want have a pleasant scent. Its a gym. Cleanliness yes I too want a clean please to workout at but most people working out there are not focus on cleaning up after their self. They are focus on working out. The staff cant be everywhere at once to clean up behind individuals. If so that means they have to employee more staff which means higher membership. I seen some complaining about the cost already. As to the repairs we as consumers are paying for the full usage of the gym. Yes they need to make sure repaid are done in a timely manner. But over all if you come there to get a good workout you can achieve that. The other issues are really minor to me. No I dont work at the club Im just realistic in my view.

Good machines, not the cleanest facility but a lot of good equipment. Tends to get busy at usual times most gyms get busy. free weights are a little disorganized but blame that on the patrons. A lot of people lack simple etiquette where they dont rerack. Overall I recommend it.

I really like this fitness center. Every place has some flaws, but overall it meets all my needs. I love the kickboxing class and the Zumba classes. I also love the boot camp training.
