Great staff, great hours, new bulbs in one bed and one stand up. Hydro massage, chair massage and a low key, comfortable place to work out.

I’m kind of shocked about the negative reviews, been coming here almost 3 years and the place is great I even canceled for work and came back and the process was pretty easy. only complaint Is there isn’t a bench press .they do have certain rules that are a bit strange but it’s their business they can do what they want ..other than that this is a great gym.. just PAY ATTENTION when you sign up and sign the contract like an adult, because they literally go over and explain everything idk how a person could have a hard time canceling

I go there at least 4 times a week its a great place to go if you feel judged by people because it truly is judgement free!!

Just joined Planet Fitness this past weekend. Didnt sign up for orientation or anything, downloaded the app and gave them my money. Process was easy and the app has your membership barcode in there so its easy to swipe in when you arrive. I have only worked out there twice so havent checked out the locker room or other amenities outside of the main area. Equipment is in good condition and looks clean, the other patrons are polite and wipe down equipment somewhat regularly. It wasnt crowded when I went but it will be interesting to see how hectic it gets after work. I am bummed that there are no free weights in terms of plates and barbells, all barbells are part of machines which probably reduces PFs insurance liability but also cuts down on being able to do the fun lifts. Overall Ill be returning to this gym, partly because I have a membership.

Has everything you need to get a full body workout. The facility is nice and clean. The people who Ive came in contact with that frequent there are very respectful. I love the place.

Probably some of the MOST UNPROFESSIONAL AND UPSETTING customer service. The front desk doesnt have any kind of training or experience. I was there with one of my friend and I was shocked to see that they FORCED HIM TO CANCEL his existing membership which he was having from years and signup for a new high priced membership. I have never seen that kind of behavior from any organization which FORCED their customers to change their membership. Deserves a ZERO rating but they make you select at least one star. Poor business skills. As a small business owner, you do not practice like this.

This Planet Fitness in Lansings West side is busy very often. But even at the busiest times, the staff does a good job of maintaining the equipment and facilities. Come early in the morning for easier access to the workout equipment and showers! Free weights, weight machines, stretching area, 30-min about workout area, tanning, massage chairs, and more.

I don’t like this location. I paid monthly for my membership so use PF and the showers occasionally. I overheard some of the staff laughing about me. And I heard them say “I think she’s homeless, haha.” Like so much for a judgement free place. No one has ever treated me as such. Only in Michigan I guess. 😔

Had a new debit card come in the mail and forgot to update the billing information for the gym. I got stopped by an employee after scanning my keycard and told that I have to update my billing information at my home club due to an outstanding balance of $20.00. Mind you, I got this membership in Indiana due to travel for work. They advised that the only way I could update this was to literally drive 220 miles round trip to update my billing information at my home club to have it switched. The younger lady working the desk then had the AUDACITY to ask me if I would like to workout today for a charge of $5.00....Even the club in Indiana told me the same result and did not know what to do with the account information like this has never happened before. After taking matter into my own hands, I was able to contact the automated billing department for Planet Fitness and updated my information. It should be noted when reviewing this post to please train your staff on how to deal with transactions with current members. 1,000% canceling my membership after this transaction processes tomorrow.

If I could give 0 stars for this gym, actually the entire franchise, I would. I would rate them 0 for quality. Their communication, or lack there of, is extremely poor. When talking to font desk staff when I was able to go in, they were always unsure or uninterested when talking to patrons. I have also attempted to call on several occasions and am consistently sent to a voicemail box that is full. They have 20 treadmills, but only one leg press. They also have an unsatisfying coach to gym-member ratio. The part I hate the most: the fact that I cant cancel my membership over the phone is extremely inconvenient ESPECIALLY during a pandemic AND when I have an injury thats causing me so much pain and grief that I cant think to write a letter let alone come in. I explained to them that I am unable to come in, back in February, due to a very painful injury that doctors were telling me I needed surgery for and they told me to write a letter, which I thought was sarcasm due to their tone. It clearly wasnt because they continued to take my money. At the time I did ask them who to address the letter to and their only response was to us. They refused to give me any further information. I did at one point try to go back when my doctor cleared me to work out; at the time I was okay, but days later I had so much pain and was told to stop per doctors order. I tried cancelling again and they just did not care. Planet Fitness is extremely unporfessional and I cannot wait to be rid of them.

LYNNE, TYLER, BEN, RANDALL(the trainer) are FABULOUS!!!!I love going to this gym. They are always cleaning the place and asking ppl to please pull their mask up at all times.Randall is such a great personal trainer because he loves what hes doing.Im impressed with the entire staff.

So I was checking times to make sure I had my timing right this morning and read a bunch of comments that seemed bogus for this location, heres mine. The place is usually pretty clean, after going for sometime and having been to a few other gyms this place is a solid 8. Somethings cant be helped pertaining to public places and some people have revolting gym/bathroom habits. With Cov19, I left and they made that easy once the doors opened again and no hidden charges so I came back once the concerns hadnt inflated or inflamed. The hours changed but its not a deal breaker or impossible to manage. Traffic is my only concern and its also easily managed so not really an issue as well. The staff is good, doing their jobs and keeping the place clean and peaceful as Ive never heard complaining or disputes. Between price, care, and hours like I said, an 8 overall. Its not a country club with gold faucets and an attendant holding towels, etc. I dont have a horse in this race so if it seems Im being kind, probably because its earned, an if things change, its after the fact...

Definitely worth it for the price of $10 per month for one location or 22.99 to access all locations (and be able to bring a friend-with the 22.99 membership only) There is a $40 annual fee charged at a random point throughout the year.

My wifes membership was paused during Covid. It was restarted without notification and billed to a card no longer active. Months later there is a $150 balance and cant cancel until its paid not sure if this is legal. Wont ever step foot in there again and highly encourage others not to either. They are thieves and very unprofessional.

Here almost everyday and can honestly say Tyler rocks ! Ben is usually pretty nice (love the fresh haircut) and the two shorter girls who are there (one is brunette, the other has dyed red hair) were nice-ish in the beginning but now just make it very clear they do not like us. The rare times they do talk to us it seems very sarcastic and they never wave back when we wave :( ! I would totally be their friend if they were nice though. Girls united! However, Tyler & Ben always wave goodbye and it’s nice to feel like we matter to them. Not gonna lie tho the spray bottles were slackin big time today but there were only two employees working instead of the usual 3-4 so can’t complain! Will still come everyday until I set the lunk alarm off on accident and get too embarrassed to show my face there again hahaha

Transferred my membership from lansing, to Plymouth where I now live. Was an easy transfer and the club here in plymouth was nice and quite helpful

This company refuses to stop charging me for their service when I never used them . I suffered a stroke and the doctors found a tumor on my cerebellum and 2 aneurysms on the frontal part of my brain. I have emailed them regarding this matter with no response. I guess I will have to sue them

Ending my membership immediately. The morning employees are absolutely incompetent, lazy and just rude.Paper towel dispensers or cleaning sprays are never filled, tanning beds are never cleaned, showers are absolutely disgusting, some workers interrupt my workout to inform me of information that is non informative.Discrimination among person to person being displayed at this facility.Would never go back and would never recommend this facility.

This planet Fitness is very good about staying clean, during non-busy times, like in the morning, it is very well kept and organized. Even during busy hours they make sure to keep someone on the floor to clean equipment.

I love Planet Fitness! Just not the one here. The managers wont talk to you and the employees wont answer the phone or if they do they dont say anything and hang up. I have been to many PF locations and love them. Its the management running this one that makes me sad I ever gave them $1.

I was a new member that was going to the gym almost every single day and I loved it. However, I was met by a incredibly unprofessional employee who interrupted and shouted at me in front of my guest and another member of the club. Jenne was the employee and she was incredibly unhelpful and rude. I then went back the next day and took my 68 year old mother the next day and they informed me that she needed to leave because of the stretchy material jean pants that she was wearing. My mother is a bigger woman who had weight loss surgery and certain clothes dont fit or arent comfortable. There wasnt even a conversation form the manager of the facility, we were just told to get out.... It was very unprofessional and not the way that planet fitness claims to represent themselves... a quote from your website...It’s our goal to provide a clean, safe, welcoming environment for ANYONE who walks through our door, and all the equipment, amenities and support you need once you’re here.I wont be back. I cancelled my membership and I went to Cruch fitness, where they have the same amenities, better customer service, and they dont judge their paying customers based on what they wear.Welcome to Planet Fitness. I always enjoyed my time there and found it clean. My problem was canceling my membership the day the maintenance fee was charged and being told it couldnt be refunded.

Lynne who works there is not nice at all. I asked her to help my elderly mother on a machine as she was unsure what to do and I was on a treadmill.. She just glared at me like how dare I ask her to do anything. Ig this gym wasnt so cheap Id definitely find another.

Thinking about canceling, only 4 weight benches or power racks and they are always full while all the other stuff sits. They need about 4 more.

Too many people have their masks around their chin or even worse, above their noses. The staff member walking around seemed awfully chummy with the nosers. Not a sweet place.

Mask wearing is mandatory. Ohio PF is optional. Lockers in locker room are shabby. Paper towels to disinfect equipment are too cheap.

So I called after I received the charge for the annual fee ..sadly I didnt see the email and hadnt used the facility since it had closed...with this unexpected charge it did mess with my income and I was upset .I called and talked to Fred today...one he I believe either owns or runs 14 locations ..he explained to me the charges as he looked at my account and actually listened to my frustrations about the charges. He was kind the whole time and worked with me...he never got rude about my complaints and truly cares that I was upset. After talking with him I will be keeping my membership and going back to his locations...he showed class of a business owner and I respect that. Thank you Fred

Good place to workout with decent membership prices.

I have found that it is very difficult working out at PF with some of their nonsense rules. One... as I’m running on the treadmill I take off my sweatshirt and put it on top of the treadmill. Worker comes over and tells me I have to put it away in to locker room. I’m in the middle of a run and you want me to stop? Next all the boxes have disappeared. You honestly think that the benches are better for doing step up or using them for box jumps? I know there is a machine to do box jumps byt there is 1! Then today I want to jump rope. I can’t tell you how many people I have seen jump rope. I get scolded and told not to use it and they will put it behind the counter. The only thing that is keeping me from not canceling is one person and her name is Teri. She works the counter and is amazing

I went to gym and so many people wearing mask but not social distaning. Only non popular equipment werent using and no one else.

This is a great place to work out and meet new people. The staff are awesome. The only thing I dont like is the new cleaning station. I really want them to go back to individual bottles and towels at the machines instead of paper towels scattered around the facility. So many more people dont take the time to clean their machine when they are done so you have to assume all machines are dirty unless you actually see them clean the machine or you do it yourself.

Went with a friend. That has the black card membership. The front desk was very helpful.. And full of fitness knowledge.. Will let all my freinds know how much of a good time I had at Planet Fitness..Great Job!!

I love how many machines are available and the different types. The 30 minute circuit is my favorite for all over body workout. I cant leave without a massage, its a wonderful benefit of membership. This is a very clean gym and staff is courteous and helpful.

Gets a little crowded. The staff has been good to me but they wont let my lady use my free tanning. Great deal for a gym. This would be a 5 if they let my fiancee use the tanning that I obviously cant use.

Ive been a member at this location for 3.5 years and its one of my favorite visits. The facility is well maintained and easy to access. The staff are friendly and helpful. The patrons arent bad either. The management maintains the equipment areas and facilities quite well. Broken equipment gets replaced or repaired timely for the most part. They also place new updated equipment into rotation regularly. The 24 hour availability makes it easy to avoid high traffic periods. I highly recommend visiting this location for your exercise development needs!

I honestly dont think you can beat the price for a gym especially with all the perks, but the whole place is managed so poorly. The 30 minute workout is always full of people not following the rules, even though it says its monitored by the staff its not, which is really frustrating for the people who actually want to use it for the 30 minute workout. Also, the whole set up for tanning is extremely annoying. Its like the workers dont understand the idea of a line. Its very frustrating when Im waiting 10-15 minutes to use a tanning bed, and someone who just walks in takes my place because the workers didnt look at who was supposed to be next. This happens to me almost every time i have to wait for a bed, which is absolutely ridiculous.

Tried to cancel my subscription because I wasn’t going to be able to afford it and I was under the impression it was canceled and wouldn’t you know with in four days I had been charged my subscription twice and my bank gave me an overdraft fee each time. So now I’m not just broke I literally have no money what so ever. Doesn’t even deserve even 1 star

So far the only issue I have with this facility is the architect(s) apparently have never had to use a locker room. The layout isnt designed well. It doesnt have to be very busy at all and youre having to wait for someone to get done and out of the way so you can occupy the space, or you may wind up cramped up with two other people into a small area with benches too short to be useful. Not good when someone likes to primp themselves for a long time.

Probably my most frequented location. Always nice and clean and cool staff. The best part is after you are done working out a great Chinese buffet is right nextdoor 😂

Spacious with a lot of equipment. Even on a busy day ive been able to get my work out done. Dumb bells,, tread mills, bikes, cages...too much to list, and all the machines are relatively new. Great place to work out.

The facility is always spotless. I like to go late at night so the front desk isnt always staffed, but thats expected. I left my wallet in my locker once. Someone was honest enough to turn it into the from desk. Very thankful for that. Best $20 a month I ever spent

I go here often to tan, & i’ve seen a lot of reviews saying their tanning areas are clean, but as a regular user, I wonder how often they actually clean them. The trashes are always full, the hex’s floors are always dirty, and so are the floors in the tanning rooms, i’ve even requested to have a room cleaned and they just gave it to someone else and made me wait for a different one.You’re supposed to anyways but I always clean my hex really good before I use it, and they’re all pretty dirty.

I went here as a guest and loved my experience. The front desk attendant was very welcoming and got us in quickly. They have a big facility with a good variety of equipment including a cool 30 minute express workout machine area for people who want to do a circuit workout. I spent time on the treadmill #RunnerForLife and then did kettle bells in their mat area. Loved the layout and atmosphere!

Love, love, love Planet Fitness! The casual atmosphere, the combined effort of the PF Team and the members to keep equipment functional and clean, and the judgment-free zone are all reasons why I joined PF and why I plan to stay! The Black Card offers some nice extras, too - check it out!

If you want a good environment, friendly staff and knowledgeable trainers go somewhere else. This cramped gym doesn’t have enough equipment or a real trainer but has lots of ridiculous rules, plus very annoying alarm! I understand you don’t allow people talk on the phone in the workout area, but what’s the problem when people have to make a quick phone call in the locker room?! And what’s the difference between people talk to each other and people talk on the phone? Are you gonna forbidden people talk in your gym next time?! Plus, your staff should stop harassing people!

The best feature about this gym is the cleanliness and theyre open 24 hours. However, the lunk alarm is ridiculous and over used. I understand the liability issue when it comes to dropping weights and being safe but thats my responsibility as a member. The staffing doesnt need to sound the lunk alarm for putting away the weights too hard, its really annoying.

I love the Lansing saginaw location, very clean and nice feel when working out ...,glad I joined this location..

Planet Fitness is a large facility with plenty of equipment. The staff by my house is friendly and helpful. The building is very clean, which I really appreciate. And they are open 24/7 (with maybe little closures on holidays) so they are very convenient.

Great place to go workout. Not overly busy and all the equipment necessary to get a great workout in. The price is perfect as well. Not much to complain about with Planet Fitness.

Not a bad location and the staff was okay. I wont give a PF a 5 star rating for the fact that it is just a business model gym (-1 star) They dont actually care about fitness. It works for people that have a regiment going by just providing the equipment. Dont like the candy sitting on the counter (-1 star). They do have a trainer there but they just help you figure out how to use the machines basically.

The entire area is clean!. The staff is friendly and they get to know you as a regular. The machines are updated regularly and maintained.

I go to PF close to the Lansing Mall and it is always clean and welcoming. Staff are attentive and responsive. One problem is that even though there is lots of equipment available the one I want to work on is being used. Luckily there usually is something else to substitute. Overall a very good experience.

The Holt location is very clean and the staff are extremely helpful. Their Black Card lounge is also one of the nicest Ive seen. I love going in and feeling like i can get everything i need out of the gym and more.

I am very satisfied with my experiences at this gym, which is clean, has plenty of equipment, polite personnel, and a variety of workouts available at an affordable price. My takeaway matches well with what they advertise: a comfortable and affordable outlet for those who want to stay in shape. I would also disagree with a previous review that said this gym is only appealing for X Y and Z types of people. I go there regularly and see a pretty diverse group with a wide range of athletic abilities. If youre a bodybuilder or very talented athlete, by all means, go to a specialized gym. But I see nothing wrong with this one.

I have never had a bad experience here, but i go at night with my friend. The staff at night is always friendly and respectful. Yes the lack of free weights kinda sucks but for the most it seems pretty decent. And as far as the bald guy walking around barking out orders, i have never seen him so i cant say that i have a bad experience with him. Im guessing he must be some kind of personal trainer on the day shift or something.

I like it. I just mind my own business and do my little workout. The tanning beds are kinda weak though. I am pale but tan well and I dont get very tan from using their beds. I still color just not alot.the staff are polite. I used to not like gyms but seeing others of all shapes and sizes workout gives me motivation. I am a tired mom of 3 boys. Now that Ive joined I also look and feel better.

Since working at Planet Fitness, I have learned many things. Including, but not at all limited to how nice and considerate people can still be. I complain a lot about how self centered, inconsiderate and disrespectful people can be in the world, but working at PF has given me a better outlook and more faith in humanity. I just hope that my generation and future generations can get better, not worse with thinking of others and be more like most of the members at PF. A lot of members genuinely care about the staff and vice versa. The staff acts as a family and all care for and support each other. The atmosphere is one I will never forget and will use as inspiration for my own business model/culture in the future.

I’ve been to all three locations around the lansing area, and this one is by far the best one. Staff is always so happy&nice. Always willing to answer my questions in a friendly, positive way. I never see anyone just standing around. They are always cleaning, and making sure everything is running smoothly. I will always recommend PF.

Ironically, this is the only gym I’ve ever felt judged at. The signs says no string tanktops, yet I’ve been approached for wearing cutoffs, among other women wearing only sports bras. The facility/equipment is nice, and it’s very clean, unfortunately due to this double-standard I feel like I’m being judged whenever I walk in. I think it’s safe to say most people don’t find the lunk alarm humorous. If anything, it is annoying/distracting and humiliating to whomever dropped a weight. To a company who prides themselves as a judgement-free zone, I can’t say I’ve experienced that here.

Wow... I thought the customer service was good. Until I met Taree... however you spell it. Disrespectful and Ignorant... according to her, her district manager Fred, doesnt have a phone and only deals with people via email.... okay... lets think about that... your District Manager doesnt have a phone......... 6 and 7 year olds have phones but your grown adult district manager doesnt.... so please pop your gum some more and be ignorant to reality, he has one but doesnt use it (with people like you working in his club I can understand why...... ) so apparently you can only go to a club 10 times out of state before they wont let you go there any more... mind you I have the upscale membership and am being told I have to drive an extra 30 minutes to go to a gym because I am in town to assist my parents after a surgery... Guess I find a new gym period because they cant live up to there UNLIMITED CLUB MEMBERSHIP.... So Fred when you get this Cancel mine. Thanks.

Its only been a couple weeks since I joined but so far Im very happy with everything. Ive been there almost everyday at all different times and have had no problem finding a machine I want to work out on available to me. Staff and everyone in the gym have been friendly and helpful, the gym is spotless. Its motivated me to get in better shape and feel better about myself! Great bargain for only $10 a month. I was a member of Snap Fitness about 8 years ago and I was paying 3-4 times as much monthly and the gym was much, much smaller, the staff wasnt helpful and I always had to wait for open machines. Honestly I dont see how anyone can complain about this place unless they are the one causing the problem.

I visit this gym often and the Saginaw location has more machines, but the Holt location has better tanners.

Maybe if you guys had a steam room and also a weight scale so we can see the progressOf all of our hard work it would be a 5 star rating. Planet fitness is tooFocused on having a no judgement zone gym and not provide scales to weight out selves. But whats the point of working out if you cant see if youre losing the weight. And also theres tanning beds but no steam room. Only certain races tan while the others just use the gym. Maybe accommodate a steam room in the locker room other races can us. Im black and will never use the tanning beds. Cather to all races please Im paying good money like everyone else. Thank you

Oddly enough, the best part of the visit was the night shift janitorial staff. Super friendly and welcoming. Everything was clean, and the environment well maintained as a whole.
