I gave this taxi company 4 stars because they were very late. I called ahead for the taxi to arrive at 11:15, it did not come until almost 12:30. I had to call the taxi company to check on there whereabouts and the operator said she would have the driver call me back directly. The driver called almost 15 minutes later. I was told there was some sort of mix up with the phone number. When I inquired about her ETA I was told she was just leaving and should be picking me up in about 15 minutes. When she didnt show up 20 minutes later I called the company back. Again, I was told the driver would call me shortly. This time I was told there was a mix up with the pick up address and did I still want the taxi, she could be there in 10 to 15 minutes, I said yes. Once again the driver did not show up in the allotted time frame. This time I called her directly. She answered to say she had to stop and get gas; she hadnt realized she was low and that she would arrive in 8 to 10 minutes. She did finally arrive about 15 minutes after that last phone call. The driver was apologetic and polite when she arrived. She was friendly and talkative during the short trip. She was also very accommodating when I had to change my drop off location. All in all it was a pleasant trip once it got under way.
I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone not even a stranger let alone someone in my family. I witnessed a Lancaster City Cab weaving in and out traffic on Orange Street. This is why no one ever uses cabs anymore because of the reckless and careless regard for driving and human beings.
Most of these reviews are exaggerated. More then one person orders cabs at a time, and alot of people do use cabs in lancaster. Since more than one person is ordering cabs at the same time, you have to wait your turn. that is why it took some people up to an hour to be picked up. the driver calls you when he or she is on their way. and alot of customers will carelessly have the driver wait outside for quite a bit of time and even ask for the cab to stop and wait a long time outside of stores, which is a service call. you can call a smaller cab company and get picked up sooner because they have less calls happening at a time from being a newer company. This company will usually pick u up faster than yellow cab because alot of people are calling yellow cab first because its named yellow cab. if you call lancaster city cabs you will usually get picked up by somebody who is in it for the money, which is a good thing because they try their best to please you, they just dont always have time to vacume the car because they are more focused on profit. If you call a different company you might get somebody who just drives cab for a profit of 20 dollars per shift and doesnt try to make more lol. i reccomend using this service, a taxi business is not the same as a ride share business, so why are they being compared? a taxi company has less than 20 cars but are safer and rideshare companies have up to 100 cars if not more lol whenever i tell people that i drove for this company they always ask me if it was a uber lol?? no dude i said taxi didnt i
Witnessed a taxi weaving in and out, cutting people off (big trucks included) then proceeded to drive down the middle turning lane to cut more people off. Absolutely horrible, better hope there was no kids in that car.
All though there is usually a wait the workers at the desk and the drivers are very polite. Definitely recommend over Yellow Cab!

After calling and waiting for a cab for about an hour I decided to call back. I was told that the driver showed up and I wasnt there. Told him I was and they said it was going to be another 20 minutes. It was ANOTHER hour. They never showed up and I had to call Unique, they showed up in 25 mi utes. Dont waste your time with Lancaster City Cab.

I rather walk than ride with with them.Not saying the cab drivers are all bad,but the management there is really no good for the drivers.Typical taxi business made me buy my own car.If u call,they say the driver is there,or they went to get u,knowing u coulda walked to where u went,came back,and the cab still didnt come yet.
Hard to get a cab at times like not everybody got Uber accounts we still like cabs but all cabs in Lancaster are okay

I would like to thank Anthony and Abel for their dependable and prompt service. It is refreshing to get a cab that does not take 20 minutes to pick me up and I have never been late for work which is what I use this company for. I am the front desk of Days Inn on Lititz Pike and I refer all of my guests to Lancaster Cabs solely because of theses two men.

My ride to the hotel in the evening went smoothly. They arrived promptly, the driver was friendly and there were no issues.Attempting to get a ride back in the morning wasnt so smooth. I saw the driver approach from the lobby, then stop short of arriving, turn around, and leave. That was followed up on by a pair of confusing phone calls from the dispatcher, who apparently just called to hang up on me the second time.
A few weeks ago I was in Lancaster for some work. I had a ride taxi cab ride with Lancaster City Cabs. It went perfect. The van was clean, just cleaned I might add, both inside and out.My driver was Teshome and he was super nice. I had a couple stops and he took me there the fastest route. Thanks for the great service.
THE WORST CAB COMPANY!!!! All My wife and I wanted to do was to go home with our baby and brand new TV, but instead tells me that even though the meter says the amount, you tell me that I need to pay more. That is NOT how that works. I did let the dispatcher know that I needed a larger vehicle due to my purchase and my baby ahead of time and yet Im being told that Im in the wrong, thats not right.However, Im supposed to receive a refund for my fare and I havent received it yet.
A little a while ago I needed to catch a cab from Amtrak to where i was for work for the day. I called (was surprised none were at the station) and they were there within 10 minutes. I called towards the end of the day and they met me on time. Both drivers were friendly, clean cabs. Ill definitely feel comfortable about being without car in Lancaster again if I ever need to be given their reliability.
They always came on time and as promised for my two trips between my motel on the outskirts and downtown Lancaster. The cars are nice and clean, and the drivers kind and talented. You can definitely trust these guys.

Javad was the driver. I was quoted the price of approximately $14 on the website. Ended up paying $38. I am not sure how exactly things work. I did notice that when we were at a red light, the fare on the computer was going up and up. I did say something and he said it goes by mileage. I was not going to argue with him. So I sent Mr. Tolla and email and explained what happened. I got an email that they would contact me within 24 hours. Have never heard anything back from them, I would not recommend this company to anyone ever.
I received the most friendly amazing service from Felicia and Jason. They were MORE than caring and both just wanted to make sure I made it back home safely. When ever I need a ride or taxi service I will definitely be using Lancaster City cabs! I can not thank you enough!

I called a cab to pick me up at the bravo on king st. They told me it would take ten minutes when ten minutes passed the cab driver was not in sight so I called to see where it was and the cab driver went to the McDonald’s to use the bathroom and later called me to see if I would walk to the McDonald’s I told her no and proceeded to walk home and when she saw me instead of saying sorry I had to use the bathroom she told me off and said that I wouldn’t walk to the McDonald’s but I would walk home when the whole point of a cab is for it to come to you

I normally dont take LCC unless I really have too. I DONT recommend this taxi service AT ALL! I had called for a taxi to pick me up the store when it was pouring rain. The driver NEVER bothered to pull up to where I was and ended up walking to the other side of the building. The driver was EXTREMELY rude and was a complete smarta** when I didnt tell him which left to take when he entered my development. I was clearly being nice to him and I got smart back at him saying which one to take. I told him he didnt have be rude and didnt hear a word out of him.... CLEARLY THE REASON WHY I SUGGEST YELLOW CAB! Service is BETTER and drivers are far more GENEROUS!
Oh the humanity, get over it people its a taxi company. If you want better use Uber or Lift. There is no use in complaining because there is no accountability with local taxi companies. At least with Yellow Cab being nation you can go to the corporation and the franchise risks losing their licence if too many complaints are logged. Also if your complaint is that big you can complain to whatever licencing board handles taxis in the city. Some places its the police dept. Worst experience Ive had with a transportation service. I have travelled many times to BWI which takes 2 hours and this experience was 3 hours. My driver took a crazy route which I would be ok with if he was legit but he did everything to try to make me miss my flight... Not quite sure why. His behavior was odd from the start. He received several phone calls and texts while driving and that in itself is dangerous. He stopped at a secluded gas station after a 30 minute trip and purchased no gas or food items. We finally made it to I-95 and I felt some relief because I knew Baltimore was about 40 miles away. We came upon clearly marked roadsigns for BWI. He intentionally took the exit prior, looking in his rearview mirror to see if I noticed. I did and ask why he exited. He said he turned too soon. He circled around and actually went through the airport and still never took me to departures and got back on the highway. I was a little panicked but demanded he get me to the airport. He again took the wrong exit. I had to threaten calling 911 if he didnt take me to my destination. This driver was either on drugs or just simply had bad intentions. BEWARE OF PUTTING YOUR TRUST OR LIFE IN THIS COMPANYS HANDS...This could have played out much worse for someone afraid to speak up.
The driver told me that it was $20 pluss trip fair.when he dropped me off he said if I didnt pay it he would have to call the police. I will never use again Uber has way better service.

I worked there for bout 3 weeks as a dispatcher. It was the worst. So unprofessional . The boss, Tolla is a creep. He made me feel so uncomfortable that i quit. The drivers are all druggies n ex junkies while the boss is a perv.

First time I called this service I was told my cab would be 30 mins or less. An hour later, and the cab never showed. Decided to give it another try. Told it would be 15 mins or less. 40 mins later, no cab. Never using this service again. Heard great things, not sure why I received such horrible service TWICE.
I have never screamed at a service person in my entire life until today. Yesterday I called to order a taxi to take me to the train station at 11:30am, I had to give them my name and phone number and everything., I call them at 11:35 when nobody showed up and dispatch HAD NEVER HEARD OF ME! So I order another cab, it comes at around noon, then while Im on the road in the cab I get a call from a cabbie saying my taxi was there to pick me up at some address I had never even heard of, I cursed that guy out until he just straight up hung up on me. Then I get ANOTHER call from dispatch saying that they had sent a car to come get me, again, screamed until they hung up on me. Never offered me any solutions, didnt offer to cover my fare, nothing. I had to run to catch my train with all my bags like some terrible rom com. Absolutely ridiculous
The cab driver was 30 minutes late to pick up a client. This client then missed her connection at the bus station. When I called Lancaster City Cabs, they were unable to help me provide transportation up to her destination. I am extremely disappointed. The customer services is horrible!
Praise God for this cab company, after 10 days vacation from florida, i needed a ride to the train depot so i called yellow cab, the guy answered and i didnt understand him so i asked for an English speaking person, he hung up. I called back and he started ranting and raving at me about that comment and told me he would never give me a ride. My husband called him back and the guy said the same to him. We had the desk clerk call and he told her he would never send a cab to that motel. So, we called city cab and they sent someone out right away who took us straight to the train station. Also, your rates are the best of any cab co. Thank you so much for saving the day and remnants of our vacation. God Bless and keep up the good work as i feel Yellow cab is getting too big for their britches.
ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE SERVICE. I used this service TWICE yesterday and paid a lot for it. I called and was expected to be picked up at 7:45 for my 8:07 amtrak and the driver said he decided not to come. I had to run a mile and a half in 0 degree weather to not miss the last amtrak of the night. I am so disappointed considering I tipped more than necessary and used the service two times already in one day. I use a taxi a lot and will not be using this company ever again. Poor and unreliable service.
Called for a cab to go to the train station, said hed be here in 10 mins. I call them 20 mins later, the guy answering the phone says that the driver called in to report that he had picked us up, WHICH WAS A LIE. They send out another cab, this one is 15 mins late. I call the number multiple times to ask when hes gonna get here, Each time it says the call is unavailable! The drivers for the most part are great but calling after 5 pm most times I get the most horrible rep. I hate calling he is so unpleasant and just rude. This company should really reconsider having him as an employee. It makes me not want to call for a cab
