My experience with June Homes was very pleasant. I have stayed in one of their homes in West Harlem and everything was up to my expectations. I never believed that there is a company that can provide such a stress free experience. I haven’t stayed long, but it was a great short term solution. Would recommend to everyone. Keep it up guys!
Its a good value for people who are traveling or are new to a city that they have properties in and dont want to pay for an entire apartment. There were some issues with the utilities which took a while to get resolved because the building was pretty old but overall they were good on fixing those issues. Plus I had an emergency that they were very helpful with ending the lease a little early.Would definitely rent again if I ever needed it.Thanks June Homes!
Excellent service, they are very kind, and always answer in a fast way. I would stay there there no questions asked. I enjoyed a lot staying with there, and recommend this company a lot.
June homes is a great option for a short term stay. As someone who has just moved onto a more long term lease, I’m appreciating the little things June Hones did a bit more. Like not worrying about buying toilet paper, towels, and cleaning supplies. My room had great furniture and exactly what I needed to feel at home for 3 months. Their customer support team is so helpful and incredibly responsive. Highly recommend
I do not recommend June Homes. They are unresponsive and do not take care of their current customers. I went to extend my stay and they told me it was available. I reminded them to extend the airbnb reservation and they told me actually sorry it is not available. They do not properly clean and they are not helpful. Once you are in your accommodation, keep your expectations low as amenities are not really included as they suggest in their listings.
June Homes provided a great option for my roommates and I as recent college graduates at a time when the COVID-19 pandemic made moving difficult. The property came fully furnished in a tasteful style that eliminated the stress of having to shop for new furniture or kitchen implements. We also appreciated that utilities were covered as a bundle, making it a simple process and saving us effort every month. June Homes was generally responsive and professional when had any issues.
Havent moved in yet, but signed a 1 month lease and the service is terrible. Since I signed the contract, I havent gotten a single response to an email or phone call. They scheduled an on-boarding call, called me just one time 3 mins before the scheduled time, which I missed. Then I called them multiple times at the scheduled time and could not get ahold of them at all. Will upgrade the rating if the apartment is nice since thats the more important part, but the lack of communication is frustrating.
Rented an apartment in midtown New York City for two months through June Homes. Room was clean and in great quality when I checked in. Ideal location and close to subway station. Customer service was responsive. Not a lot of issues, affordable rent, would recommend. I stayed an extra few days past my lease, and they were accommodating.
They list an nyc studio apartment for $2100 but after finally getting through their terrible site to apply it is $3300!!! They charge exorbitant fees for their membership monthly then $350 for the cheap fashion furniture which is tacky but most bizarre is the dynamic pricing this means the small studio apartment will never actually be that base price, it is simply a scam. On top of this they expect perfect credit and 80 times the monthly rent to be sitting savings, an easy quarter of a million dollars in the bank and I am renting a tiny studio in two bridges?
My experience with June Homes was amazing and smooth. The quality of the apartment and service was top tier! Any issue was never an issue for long. They handled it quickly within 24 hours! And, would communicate a lot to make sure things remained smooth.
Great customer service, moving to Washington D.C. mid-pandemic last January for 5 months. Given the location, the quality of my room/property and the added services (never having to worry about toilet roll, for example), it was a very pleasant stay at a reasonable price. Maintenance requests (such as when we needed a toolbox) were dealt with swiftly and I met some great new people. Would recommend.
When I first joining June Homes the facility was well maintained and price is reasonable. However this is not the case recently (after May/2021 in particular), as the cleaning routine had dropped from twice a week to once every two week, and their pricing system will abuse you if you want to extend the lease. For instance, they offer me of an extension at the end of my lease for $2600/mo; after I declined, the website price listing drops to $1800/mo for long lease and $2375/mo for short lease. My suggestion is use Junehomes for only short lease purpose while preparing to move to somewhere with longer lease. There are many available housing in NYC atm.
I picked out a place on their website, created an account, and set up a viewing of the apartment, something you must do before you can rent from them. I got all of the appointment confirmation and reminders for my viewing, so I know the appointment was booked. Day of the tour I kept trying to join the Google meeting but the host wasnt around to let me in. After trying multiple times and getting timed out, I sent them an email asking if they needed to reschedule, and if so when they were free. No response. I was ready to book it that day, but Im glad I wasnt able to. I cant imagine what would have happened had I actually rented from them and had an issue. Very unprofessional. At least respond to the email.
Really quick and easy to use. Very helpful staff. Tickets are completed very fast and follow ups were nice. Recommend for anyone.
June homes overcharged me for rent by about $400 after I made my final payment. The housing is decent enough for the price, though June homes is not too responsive when problems come up in the house, nor do they provide all the supplies that they say they will when you sign on. They will also fine every tenant in the whole house if one roommate is dirty in the common space. Overall it was the best deal I could get in DC. But I don’t appreciate being scammed out of so much money. It’s dishonest and unprofessional.
I loved staying at June Homes. It was an easy transaction from beginning to end. Every time I had a problem and submitted a ticket through their app, they immediately got back to me the next day. Everyone was also very warm and kind. Having moved from the Philippines and staying in a new city, it was comforting to stay in a place where you felt welcome.
Hello Team,I have checked out after a wonderful year of stay at June homes. Thank you for the beautiful experience and service you have provided me. The apartment was spectacularly neat and clean, well maintained and beautifully decorated. I highly appreciate the service and support you guys provided from the day I enquired with you about a suitable stay. Maintenance was always on point. No issue lasted beyond 24 hours.Thank you very much again for the entire team for providing tenants with a great living experience. Every single person I’ve met staying with June homes are of in high option. Shall anyone enquire about a stay, I will make sure that I recommend June homes.Unlike other stays, the place looks exactly like how it’s shown on the website ! Also I got my entire deposit refunded within a week of checking out without any hassle.I am so glad that I chose June homes for my year in NYC :)
We were looking into a few different co-living spaces to spend the summer in New York and there were other options that were cheaper but had reviews saying that they werent responsive or they would try to keep your security deposit. So, we decided to go with June Homes because they had better reviews. That was a great decision, weve been thrilled with June. There was an issue with our house right after we arrived where a pipe broke and dripped through the basement ceiling causing a lot of damage. We hadnt caused the damage but we were nervous about our security deposit.June couldnt have handled it better. We werent charged for the damage once we explained that it wasnt our fault, and they fixed the problem within just days.- They have a great, easy-to-use app- The house is very beautiful, large, and reasonably priced compared to other places in NYC (we stayed in Harlem in a brownstone)- Huge furnished basement and laundry room- Very well-stocked with supplies, rooms, and more- Weekly cleaning- SUPER responsive and helpful- Easy, online paymentsAfter having stayed and dealt with a few different colivings, June has been one of the best.Thank you for a fabulous summer in New York, June!
June Homes amenity wise is great with great roommates and incredibly convenient when youre there. But, when it comes to signing, do not use them for last minute apartments. They are incredibly manipulative and have completely ignored my families finances I sent them in order to make me live a shorter amount of time at their apartments so they could up-charge me on monthly rent. On top of that, they lied about times that they would get back to me by email, putting me under pressure to make decisions I needed more time to make. Signing with June Homes is stressful and utterly confusing.
June Homes had great locations, a helpful app, and responsive staff. They also were able to accommodate a very quick move in for me last year. I stayed long-term and had a good experience.
I moved to NYC with no furniture and no plans, June Homes was perfect for me because of how flexible they are with lease terms and how many furnished apartments they have for leasing all over the city. Moving in was the easiest process with June Homes -- its a lot more convenient than going through the painful process with a traditional landlord. Their customer service could use some work as they may take a few days to get back to tenants after putting in a request but they have always delivered in the end. I would totally recommend June Homes to someone who is looking to move to a city like New York but doesnt want to commit to a full year lease (and also when you dont have any furniture).
The pricing is competitive, and the registration process is pretty fast. It took me a couple of days to secure a short term apartment in NYC. They have great Customer Service representatives, who are always eager to provide support and help with the registration and move in process.
June homes was great for a short term stay in NYC. I needed to find a place for 5 weeks, mid-month to mid-month, and June homes was the only service that would accommodate for a reasonable budget.Great housing, great value, highly responsive overall. Would use again!
June Homes has been amazing! Not only met my expectation for a fully furnished and serviced apartment, but they exceeded it. The apartment and amenities are perfect and clean. Customer service is spectacular as well, Natasha helped me with my request immediately and Matt was very helpful with going through the approval process. I will defiantly recommend it to my friends.
I had an incredible experience while staying with June Homes. The monthly supplies and cleaning company were always timely, the property manager responded to any questions/concerns within 24 hours, and all email inquires were answered the same day. June Homes was incredibly convenient during my short term stay in Boston and I would definitely rent from them again! Highly recommend!
I completed a seven week internship in DC this past summer and could not have found a better location for the price range. Most of my groceries came from directly across the street or a short walk up through Logans Circle to get to Trader Joes! Overall great experience and would highly recommend staying with June homes to anyone looking for flexible leasing options!
Update (+2 stars):After a week of hustle, Ive decided to terminate my lease agreement with them. The process was rather smooth, although I did have to pay for the first month rent and the security deposit. I think the company has great potential, and the people are really nice, I guess I just dont have good luck this time around.------I just moved into my new apartment today, it looks nothing like the photos. All common areas are so disgusting, the bathrooms, the kitchen, and the living room! Its not okay in a normal situation, let alone its COVID-19 time....I know this is more of a roommate problem, but I thought June Homes help clean the common areas every two weeks? Also, I did not get inform that there will be a large dog living in the shared apartment. I love dogs, but large dog in a tiny shared apartment is not something I signed up for...I am debating between breaking the contract, giving up my deposit, or giving June Homes other properties another try...this is just really disappointing.
I had a great stay at June Homes. The housing was affordable, clean, very comfortable and super well located. Also the customer service was quick to respond to my inquiries and helped me with anything I needed. I would definitely recommend June Homes.
Edit: Im revisiting this review and updating the stars to 3 because they have since followed up and have been informed that they have undergone training and our are now top of such requests which are addressed within 24-48 hours.--Ive been waiting on a response for them for weeks as I need them to complete a rental verification form so I can lease a new apartment. It begs the question of whether they are intentionally delaying this process that I have expressed is urgent and necessary to me securing housing. They send service members and representatives into the house unannounced. Theyve cycled out management for their lack of attentiveness. All I want at this point is a one page document to be responded to after weeks of calling, emailing, and messaging so that I have somewhere to live. And the deposit that I have yet to receive back.
FULL OF ROACHESThe apartment I rented with June Homes was full of roaches, including in my fridge! Had to constantly kill them while I was there. Weeks after I reported the issues and followed up several times, still roaches everywhere, and they still rent this place like it’s not a problem. Also, everything super complex, bad service, nothing gets done - I don’t recommend.
I have signed a lease with June Homes for a year and I feel like I made a mistake moving into the house. Starting with Washer Dryer which barely works, we have to use our neighbors. Secondly, whenever I have I issues regarding a clogged toilet or insects in my room they simply ask me to take care of it by myself and send them the purchase receipt.Recently, I had my room attacked by more than 30 spiders at once, and I asked them to have them removed, instead of sending someone to do an infestation, they asked me to buy a spray to kill them. How would I know in what cracks are they living? If I was able to do these things why would I even raise a request?Hoping to get out of this house as soon as possible.
I stayed in a June Homes studio in NYC for November 2019 and will definitely be returning. Fantastic location in the West Village with a grocery store, deli, bars, and restaurants within a minute walk. The apartment was beautifully decorated for comfort and fitted out with everything I needed. The June Homes team was responsive to any questions I had during my stay - I wanted to swap out a piece of furniture for a desk which they took care of quickly and without any hassle. Great value for the service offered 💫
This professionals are making an exceptionally well done service and support. I m in the process of getting one of their unit. Great Follow up, technology, support.... So far awsome!
I had a great, painless experience with June Homes. They made renting easy and straightforward and I was pleasantly surprised by how responsive their team was at all times. Would rent from them again any time.
I think this is the perfect type of company if you want to release all of the pressures of moving. I do not like packing, unpacking, hauling furniture, etc. I like being able to move when I want to without signing a long term lease. June Homes has units in great areas and they helped me secure a unit within one single weekend. I definitely recommend. My lease length was about 4 months - exactly what I was looking for. Pros of June Homes:- Flexible lease lengths- Very responsive to email- Includes everything you need (furnishings) from TV, desks, kitchenware, laundry, cleaning supplies, etc.- Move-in ready with a suitcasePotential cons (not limited to June Homes):- It could be hit or miss with your roommates. Mine were great, though.
I stayed with June Homes for over 3 months in the South Harlem area. The process of finding a room was made extremely simple through the intuitive portal, and Im glad I didnt have to go through LeaseBreak or Facebook. I was able to do a virtual tour before picking my apartment, and the apartment/room look exactly like they did in the tour. The furnishings are very nice and modern. It also came with all the day-to-day needs that you would expect from a hotel, like coffee, toilet paper, wifi, etc. The weekly cleaning service has also been a huge value add. Im glad I stayed with JuneHomes this summer.
June Homes claims that their process is simple and easy and that they welcome international students. However, international students will be given a hard time in the application process, which will demand an umpteen number of documents much more and beyond what other companies consider sufficient. I had an application approved by June only to receive constant demands for unreasonable documents. It is standard, because I applied with a guarantor, for a leasing agency to ask for a guarantors bank statements (thats all that was required in other agencies like Hello Aya and Roomrs). June Homes though wanted the guarantors companys details, trade license agreement and proof of ownership, partnership income amount, letter from the companys management etc. Which agency asks for all this? Am I applying for a short term lease or a bank loan? My experience with June has been frustrating and excruciating, to say the least, and I would highly recommend international students to go for Hello Aya and Roomrs instead, which are far more helpful, understanding and easy.Particularly frustrating is the fact that June Homes will have this elaborate application process but will not reserve the unit for you even after you send in the application. So you are in a constant bureaucratic process without a place still guaranteed. Stay away!
Love my apartment and everything about it. The fact that they help with things like supplies and bills is life changing. I feel like I got a home with some added care - just happened to get lucky to run into June Homes last year. Thanks guys and especially Natasha from the care team. Keep up the great service!
Its been a pleasure staying with June Homes. Not only do they offer great pricing in excellent locations, but the weekly cleaning, monthly supplies and furnished rooms make moving in seamless.
Great service and professional staff. An ideal option if looking for a rental with roommates and/or new to the city.
Impressed is an understatement! I randomly came across June Homes while trying to find temporary housing in Boston for a job. Customer service was very attentive and quick to respond, the entire application/lease signing process was so easy. The (shared) apartment was always kept very clean by the company and I felt safe living with the other roommates thanks to JH doing background checks. Anytime we had a problem (which was always minor yet rare), customer service was prompt to respond and fix it. When my job was finished sooner than planned, June Homes worked quick to find a replacement and I was able to get a refund on the rest of my agreement. I am so happy with my stay and hope to rent from them again in the future. If you’re debating on booking with them, DO IT! :)
I’ve stayed at multiple June Homes apartments. Each stay has been great because of three things: the cleanliness, the service, and for the price you are paying you get the best space and location. If you are looking for a month or six, I would 100% recommend June Homes
I stayed with June Homes in NYC due to a last minute relocation at work. I had never booked a short term furnished rental or experienced any co-living before, so I was nervous to say the least. June Homes exceeded my expectations on every level throughout my stay. Customer service was extremely responsive from the day I made my booking, until the time I ended my lease. My room was not only beautiful but extremely clean, and the common areas were also clean due to the biweekly cleaning services that June Homes provides. My roommates also welcomed me warmly and we developed a great system for roommate stuff like tidying up, doing dishes etc. I personally had the optimal experience and Ive recommended several friends since.
Cannot not speak highly enough of June homes. The staff is professional, and the facilities were clean, well furnished and made my move to NYC seamless. Thanks June homes!
June Homes was a great experience! Always here when needed. Rooms are all different and with different prices so you can choose what do you prefer and the good thing is when you’re here for fews months they take care of everything (towels, sheets, coffee, detergent, etc).
I had an absolutely horrific experience working with June Homes in San Francisco and can say for certain this company doesnt have its act together. To name just a few issues I encountered: 1. Their electronic locks on doors broke down one day leaving me stuck in my own room with no way to break out 2. Their emergency number didnt connect me to an actual person and left me having to call the fire department. Their emergency # didnt work TWICE at critical times 3. They gave me the wrong passcode to get into my room when I moved in 4. They didnt connect me to my housemates in any way so I had no one elses contact info or ways to reach out and 5. They took no responsibility for everything shoddy and irresponsible they did. The rooms are pretty but do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
Id give June Homes a 4 star rating overall. The company is not without its problems but most of them come with the territory. The biggest frustration I had was holding them to delivering what they promised (3 stars?)My highest praises go to Nick (Id give him 5 stars) from the June Homes support team in NYC. He diligently worked with me to figure out a way for me to get some personal items shipped to me from New York upon move out- which prevented me from having to risk my health and safety, and the health and safety of the other people living in the apartment during COVID-19.
I had the best experience with everyone at June Homes. Excellent service, super clean apartment, extremely professional and a team who always was 24/7 available to all questions and situations. Thank you, keep the great job you are doing and see you soon.
Very unresponsive customer service, poor value for money, frequent issues such as electrical outages and dryer malfunctions
I stayed with June Homes for 7 months in NYC coming from Europe to the US.To be honest I didnt expect this Apartement Provider to be that good, but they were better as any expectations. The apartements looked like on the pictures, furniture was modern and nice. Cleaning service came once a week and any issues were solved within 24 hours. If I ever move back to NYC I would choose June Homes again!!Thank you fpr everything!!
Awful. It is so expensive and you have to prove so many requirements that it turns impossible to rent with them. Also, expect fees for everything.
They were supposed to send a cleaning team every week. I have been living here for the past month, and doubt if they came at least twice.
Got good value for my room and had very quick responses for any problem I had. Had everything I needed!
Stay away from June Homes!!Don’t trust your roommate and June Homes doesn’t responsible for anything!!!I have lived with June Homes almost a year. However, I came back to my country because of Covid-19, but I still pay for the rent. Before I went back I put a security camera in my bedroom because my stuffs are still there. One day I checked the records and fount out that ‘the roommates trespassed into my room’, one of them excused that they wanted to see if someone lived in the room and another time to bring mails. But I didn’t get further explanation because they entered more than twice! They also kindly removed all my stuffed in the fridge and the cabin even if I put them in my designated area, they said my stuffs were gone bad, but I don’t think that instant noodles and soda do...
Nice room with a TV!
Had to move on relatively short notice to New York for a new job. Was able to find a place in a June Homes apartment just one block from the subway just 3 weeks prior to move. Everything was handled professionally online before arrival, and staff were responsive to all minor issues with my stay that arose during the lease period (6 months.) Move-out has also been easy. If I am in New York again for work, I would definitely choose June Homes.
***Update realize when I wrote this review that my membership application was denied because I got accepted the Guarantor application that cover the term of the least June Homes call and inform me of this very satisfied with their services and that they were vey accommodating disregard previous review below *** Very disappointed had went through the application process seen 2 places one virtual and one in person had receive guarantors application submitted additional documents and just receive email my membership initiation has been revoke not approve with no reason why tried calling several times even call the person I did a tour with and sent email message to June no response the phone rings once and call ends. Feel like i wasted my time and energy really was hoping to move in.
Showing rentals on Street Easy for properties that never have had rentals. Fake listing.
June Homes was The Official Housing my team and I during Season 3 of The NBA 2K League. I loved the location and service they provided. The studio apartment in East Village was great! I was only minutes away from everything I needed.
Had a good overall experience with them, there were a few kinks but they worked it out and made the whole experience worthwhile. I will definitely do business with them again!
I CANNOT say enough about June Homes. I was in a Boston, MA location. The standards of the homes were fantastic!! The support was unending. The entire process leading up to the rental was clear, concise and someone walked me through each step with additional follow-ups provided. There was a bit of a mix-up with my move-in day because I was given access to the wrong home and I could not get into my home. But, once I was in the correct location, everything was great. House members were considerate and no issues with noise at all. Im a professional and wanted to come back to my room to rest each night. My room was the perfect setting for that. Due to COVID-19 our offices in Boston, MA have remained closed and will not reopen until 2021. As a result, I had to leave. The Property Manager, Chris, was absolutely amazing!! He actually packed up my room and shipped all my belongings to me. He did NOT have to do this. He chose to. This type of spectacular service and quality is what you can expect from June Homes. Once things settle down and our offices reopen in the new year, I will certainly be back to a June Homes property. Thank you so much to Nick and Chris. You have been nothing shy of wonderful!! I greatly appreciate you and all your help. Many sincere thanks :)
June Homes is incredible. The room is standard, the supplies are awesome, and everything is wonderful. Truly incredible..☺️
Great service. Team is helpful.
Terrible experience. What a racket. We did a virtual tour and were told we would have no trouble applying and getting approved. When it came time to apply no one knew any of the same information, and it took a long time to hear back from anyone. By the time we did hear back, the unit we were interested in was rented. Super disappointing application experience. I feel like I was sold on an easy process and then given the run-around.
Great customer service and swift response to anything you ask for.
Good service!!
My apartment was amazing and the June Homes team are super responsive and friendly.
Awesome support services and quality turn-key apartments at an affordable price!
Virtual tours are amazing service 🙏
Avoid at all cost
Management and customer service bad enough that not worth using product.Companys response to COVID was to refuse to speak to customers unless renting a new space or asking for maintenance, instead aiming to keep all money rather than offer even a voucher for future services. Space itself and furnishings ok. Hard to rent the space as got inconsistent answers depending on who I talked to plus the draft rental contract listed the wrong dates and wrong monthly rental amount.
Responsive to support ticketsFriendly staffGreat common space and room facilitiesVery affordable price!
June Homes hires low income workers to clean their apartments in Washington, DC and does not pay them.
Really nice place
Great team of professionals!
In life, I do my best to be reasonable and make up for my mistakes. June Homes does not.Just 3 weeks into my 9-month lease, I was contacted by June Homes and told I had to vacate within 30 days as the landlord of the building decided to sell. Ok, fair enough it’s not their fault, I thought. I figured June Homes would make an effort to make it right.i was wrong. They didn’t acknowledge requests for relocation expense (at least partial). I had a difficult time getting responses to my questions, and told instead that I should sign a surrender agreement - this essentially is an NDA that forbids me from leaving a negative review or discussing this situation with anyone. I find that unethical and twisted. The cherry on top was being thanked for my cooperation “until now,” referring me expressing legitimate concern about the contents of the surrender agreement. They keep telling me I have to sign it by end of the week, (they have since offered $200 relocation expense, but id rather be able to warn others truthfully and at this point I do take it personally. Either way it’s bad business. Even if I wanted to, I would not be able to sign the agreement as they still have not sent me the updated agreement. At least I learned my lesson early, don’t make the same mistake I did and stay away from June Homes.
