Very Good customer service at this location..... DO NOT CALL HERTZ ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE. I rented a van, it developed transmission problems 50 miles later. The employees at this location fixed that problem, while Hertz ROADSIDE and other Hertz locations either did not answer my call or offered advice at best. Recommended Rental Location with helpful representatives and convenient rail/bus transit stops nearby. Thank You.

The branch manager Brett Koster is fantastic. Knows his job well, extremely helpful. He got me into a great rental for an insurance claim. I got a really nice 2020 Toyota. He was fun and easy to help me when I was there and when I needed to extend my rental. Easy, fast, great service and great vehicles. Small shop so its more personal and convenient. I will only go here from here on out when I need a rental!

They called me 20 minutes before my scheduled pickup time saying they didn’t have my car. Didn’t offer another option, simply said that’s all they called to say. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone that doesn’t want their vacation ruined.

I highly recommend this Hertz location for its professionalism and ethics. Its a rare blessing that you encounter such wonderful people in todays world. Its absolutely amazing and inspiring to say the least. All auto rental companies would be wise to follow in this locations example because in my opinion all others pale in comparison. The employees do a hell of a job in taking care of you and ELYSE the area manager needs to be in corporate head quarters so that she can assist others with her wisdom and knowledge. honestly i would rate this location a 1

Angela was amazing.I had a bad experience with being charged extra fees about 6 months ago, and was hesitant to come back. But because I was going through my insurance policy, my options were limited so I came back to hertz.I was charged extra fees for a second time due to dropping the vehicle off at the repair shop and hertz not picking it up within a reasonable time, late fees were pending on my accountI called and talked to Angela who was able to identify the issue immediately. She called Maaco on my behalf, ordered a pick up and dropped my pending charges. I really appreciate her taking the time to address the issue and because of Angela I might be back if I need another rental!

Made a reservation weeks ago. Then I get here and they have no cars. They just said sorry not enough returns came in today. Get a ride to your hotel and we will call when a car comes in. Then we could take another uber back from the hotel to pick up our car because they do not deliver. No staff.

This Hertz location is a real dump. We own the office building next door and the trash from their lot is constantly getting blown in to our lot by the wind. If you look in their back lot there is trash everywhere. I have seen them cleaning out cars and a lot of times they dont have a trashcan to put trash in and its just thrown on the ground. They use blue gloves to clean the cars and they are everywhere on the ground. Super sloppy. I am not surprised that other reviews say the cars are dirty. The whole place is dirty!

The person i dealt with, not the boss, was not someone i ever wish to deal with again. surly, unhelpful, doing the very least possible beyond sitting at his desk, and barely that. the only thing accomplished is that the insurance company did rent a working car for me. had it been my choice, i would have left and rented elsewhere. note: the boss was present for one of the exchanges; one can only hope that she gave him some helpful/negative feedback on the incident.

Car was filthy, dog prints on windows, seats dashboard. Requested a Camry told they didnt have it, even though their parking lot was full of cars. Windshield washer fluid was empty, not even a lid on it. Car got terrible gas mileage, had to stop every 4 hours for gas. Wasnt washed on the outside, even though car washes are open right now. 3rd bad experience with Hertz. Done with them. No time for them to clean it, on our way to a funeral. Customer service was terrible, wouldnt even do a free upgrade for all the issues. Cars are definitely not being sanitized for Covid.

I had a family emergency and had to get a car, they had a car on the lot, and with a miscommunication on my part I was frustrated and snappy, Daniel stayed calm and didnt snap back. This is the absolute worst Hertz I have ever been to .They cancelled my rental 15 Min after my scheduled 10:00 AM pick up time and then rented it out right away .They then proceeded to tell me they cancel the reservations after being late 1 HR but I got the email at 10:15 am saying it was canceled these people are terrible I will never go to Hertz ever again to rent a car and I will tell everyone I know to never rent from such crooked people ever again as well

I rented a car from this location in Lakewood, CO - drop off in Texas. I arrived about 20 minutes before the Lakewood Hertz office was supposed to close. I had troubles with my credit card on my reservation and therefore was on the phone waiting for answers from my card company for a very long time. Because of this, I held up three of the staff members a bit over 30 minutes from when they were supposed to close. Even though they were all getting out of work late because of me, they continued to be incredibly patient with me and extremely kind and helpful. They were very understanding of my situation and helped me with a genuine smile instead of being annoyed that I had kept them at work late. Mark was the agent who originally helped me with my reservation as well as with my pick up. He was very helpful and provided excellent customer service both on the phone a couple days prior to my pick up and when I arrived to pick up my rental. I was having a really stressful week and he made this process much easier for me. I am forever grateful! Good customer service goes a long way.

I just spent nearly 4 months in one of their rental cars and I have no complaints about the experience. They worked seamlessly with my insurance company and even extended the contracted rate when the coverage had ended. Pick up and drop off of the vehicle was quick and easy. Their driver was out with another customer when I dropped off my car so they called me a Lyft. I would definitely recommend and see them for future rental needs.

Good service at the desk, clean car, flawless rental. When trying to rent, I called a local Hertz shop, sorry all rented out. We will put you on call if one comes in. Called some competition, they were out also. I went to Expedia and was able to get a rental from Hertz who told me they had nothing. I then get a call (while driving my Hertz rental) from Hertz saying they found a car for me?Weird games at play.

I booked through expedia the night before I needed my rental. I showed up for my 1:30 rental to be told that I did not have a car. They simply stated that they tried to call me that morning around 10. I was on vacation, not paying much attention to my phone and didn’t notice the call. Had they attempted several times, sent a text, sent an email, that might be different. I STILL think it’s crazy that it let me reserve a car when they weren’t planning to have any. I ended up having to pay over twice as much at the last minute through another avenue.

Reserved my car a month ago. Set it up so hertz would pick us up. They had a MONTH to tell me they couldnt pick me up at the address provided, but instead I heard absolutely nothing until we were standing outside in the cold in Downtown Denver (16 degrees) on the phone being told I needed to get an uber.daniel, the manager (supposedly) ... offered ZERO help other than basically telling me too bad. My store only picks up within 5 miles well why didnt you call and tell me that within the last month?! No legitimate response other than go use a closer service. I even have a CONFIRMATION EMAIL with fine print that mentions the fact that I requested pickup service, yet nothing telling me I cant be picked up.Enterprise from now on!

Rented a compact and was upgraded to 2017 vehicle with less than 1500 miles on it. Drove cross country. No hidden fees. Dropped the auto off while the location was closed with no issue. Deposit was returned to my bank account a few business days later. Great experience all around

During the chaos created with the hail damages everyone was experiencing, I had a devastating car accident that left me with no car. My insurance set me up with Hertz and they called me within 30 minutes after I set up a claim with my insurance. I arrived 30 min prior to their open time the next morning and even though it was early, they helped me rent a car and be on my way. These poor people were so tired and stressed and I let them know I appreciated their hard work helping clients rent cars and receiving several truck loads of cars simultaneously. I didnt like the car I rented so I returned the same day after work and switched cars with no hassle. The staff are friendly and helpful. I think no matter what your situation they are people and walking in irritated and taking it out on them is not conducive to a good experience on either end. Everyone has bad days, everyone. I am fortunate to have had a good experience. I treated them with respect and patience while waiting my turn during a tense time where they were overwhelmed with many customers in a bad situation. They have to warn you about certain situations like toll road information and insurance and other important issues that you should know which takes a little time but it is important information you should know prior to driving away. I applaud them for informing me of possible uncomfortable situations that may arise especially with toll roads that I wasnt aware of. Courtesy and respect should come from both parties, customer and staff member. They already know that you are renting a car due to a bad situation and upset and frustrated, hopefully being calm and patient will help you and them get a rental for you that works best quickly and painlessly. Thank you to the staff at the Colfax in west Lakewood! You all deserve a raise and a relaxing vacation!

Due to a hail storm in Denver, our reservation was refused to be honored. We found ourselves with no way to meet a 10 day Bus Tour beginning in Rapid City SD. We were forced to go Greyhound that took 23 hours. We will N-E-V-E-R use them again. Cant rely on the company.

Even though it was very chaotic with the hail storm on top of regular rentals, the staff was still very friendly and helpful. My experience was nothing but pleasant. It was fast and easier then expected. So glad I went with Hertz on a rental car. Will be using them again in the future for any other needs.

Three employees were sitting at the front counter when my husband and I entered; we were the only customers there. We asked for a mid-size car for one day. They said they dont rent for shorter than a five-day period. The manager said we need to go out of their area to get a shorter rental time. I asked if they could search online so we wouldnt have to call around - he said no, but offered us the phone number to a Hertz outside of their area. Three employees, no customers and no cars?

If you can go anywhere else do it. We called to tell them we were on our way to pick up the vechile as hertz website let us book a 5:30 but we realized it also says they close at 5:30. I told him we would be there within 5 minutes and we were - watched him lock the door and ran over to say we were here and the guy said sorry I already locked the door we are closed while walking over to his vehicle and left. Very poor selection of vehicles and the staff is very rude and unprofessional about handling business. They failed to tell me they only had one car, available and had me drive all the way to see a car with dents/scratches and the inside was not cleaned after the last renter. Tried to look at a different car behind the fence and was literally yelled at by a heavy set blonde lady that said I wasnt allowed to be there Will never rent a car from this location. Hopefully youll save time too and go to Enterprise a couple miles down the street, also on colfax.

I wish I can Give them zero stars, on Jan 08/19 I reserved a Car Online thru my company website as a Uchealth Employee we get 20 percent discount with them, my pick up was the next day 01/09/19 @ 8:30. I showed up at 8:45 am 15mis Late I walked in the 2 girls in the front look at each other and started talking about a car they just rented to some one without reservation BTW They completely Ignored me!! never got greet or notice until 5 mins later when they were done talking they ask me for my name..I said I have a reservation this is my name and one of them on a very Rude way told me Well your reservation was @ 8:30 you are late and stops.. Thomas at this location was tremendous!! I was having a bad experience at another location due to the lack of communication with one location and the 3rd party online hertz. I had booked a reservation online for one location and called 30 min before picking it up to make sure it was all ok still. When I got to the hertz at 7800 tufts ave. in Denver their was a sign stating that they ran out of cars and will be back in the office on Monday (2days away). I was livid considering the simple fact that I had just called prior to picking it up. So I went to this location in Lakewood and Thomas was there listening to me rant and rave about how upset I was and if there was anything he could do. He was very attentive and efficient with getting was we needed and out the door in a timely manner. I was very impressed with him!! If you are ever at this location, ask for Thomas to help, he was awesome!!!!

This is the worst rental company we have ever used . We wanted to ride the train to see downtown Denver .The train station was beautiful . We paid for an Uber to get there . We were so excited to get to Carbondale .We entered the building a girl was just sitting there . We say hello, and she responds, WE HAVE NO CAR .We say, when will it be here . SHE says 5 PM . It was 11, just like I stated in the RESERVATION.They had NO cars . We were stranded from MICHIGAN. She kept saying SORRY . No cars .I asked, You know we are from out of State, you have Our phone number, WHY didn’t You call .ITS NOT OUR POLICY. Stay away from Hertz . They are not Customer friendly. They knew People from Mi were coming and they had NO Car . After some profanity, SHE had us dropped off at a train station. We had to take a train, jump to another train, and then go back to airport.What kind of RENTAL Car Compant doesn’t have cars ?, AND Their POLICY is NOT to call you ?????I have NEVER heard anything so stupid . The first day of Colorado was not fun . We will never use Hertz again.

Oh how I wish I could give them no stars. Inspect the car and take photos of any cracks, dings, chips. They do a horrible job checking the cars and blame the consumer for a windshield that needs to be fixed that was chipped when I got it. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE. I work customer service for my job and I would have been fired years ago if I treated a customer in the way that they did.

If I could leave no stars I would. I reserved my car on line after getting into a car accident, needless to say it was a rough morning. After waiting 2 hours for the tow truck I went to get my reserved car at this Hertz. I walked in and the young man behind the counter (wearing a gray carhart hat 11/13/14 at 10 am) said what do you need, I responded that I was their to pick up a reserved car, his tone was abrupt and he didnt look at me, just responded sit down itll be a while. After he was done helping a guy return his car my husband asked how long. The guy (still with a rude tone) replied he had no idea there were no cars. Not only was he rude, he didnt not offer any help, ideas or apologies for the situation. I ended up leaving and getting a lot of help at Enterprise and Avis down the block.I understand that the weather conditions caused a ton of accidents and created a tough situation. That doesnt excuse the awful customer service this gentleman gave.
