Today is exactly 8 days after I got my “no chip” manicure. A little bubble formed on my nail & wet paint came out from it. I didn’t even know that was possible and now I’m left with this horrible mess on my nail. I’m scared to see which other nails will be chipped by the end of the week. I’ve never had my no chip, chip. ESPECIALLY after 8 days!!! Will not be returning.

Forest Nails, formerly VIP nails, is the best salon in the area. Very clean and professional. They are always running on time. The nail technicians are always kind, smiling and do a great job, especially Chloe and Mina. I love the hand/foot massage you get with a service. Been going here for 15 years! Highly recommend

Went to Forest Nails today for the first time and had a great experience!The ambiance in the lobby is lovely, lots of Dazzle Dry colors to chose from, clean, very comfortable environment and reasonably priced.Bella did a beautiful job on my manicure and I can’t wait to see how long it lasts!!

Super cute place with a great aesthetic! You would never guess from he outside but it’s so well decorated and designed on the inside. Very chic. However, I came in to get a gel manicure and I lucked out (sort of) that they had one last opening before they closed. I think my nail tech was rushing or the gel was poor quality because when I left and got in my car, I immediately noticed there were what looked almost like dents in the nails and bubbles as well as missed spots that showed a lack of attention to detail. When I was checking out, my tech asked me if I had cash, which I said no since I didn’t and never carry cash and then when the tip was mentioned, she once again asked if I had cash which is just so so tacky. I’m super bummed because the place itself was so well designed and cute but if I’m going to get my nails done, I don’t want to leave with them looking messed up to begin with.

Had a wonderful experience getting regular polish here! It is a spa experience with gentle music, hand and forearm massage, hot towel. Very fun and relaxing, and high quality result!

It was my first time there and I had an amazing pedicure. It was peaceful and quiet and Monika was so gentle. I will return back again!

This was my first time getting dip powder and I love how my nails turned out! Originally my appointment was for European gel and Jinny suggested that I consider dip which would work better because my nails were very short and irregular shaped from biting. I honestly have never been happier with my nails and will only see Jinny for my nails in the future 😊

I came across Forest Nails when I was driving around the area and decided to stop for a pedicure. My feet are so very happy that I did!They took me right away even though I didnt have an appointment. Im sure an appointment is preferred but it isnt necessary. They have different types of pedicures and I chose the spa one. Anything with the word spa in it sounds great to me. Chloe took her time, she used hot stones for the foot massage and a clay mask on my legs that felt invigorating.I had one of the best pedicures ever at Forest Nails! (and Ive been to a lot of places) I will definitely be back!

I got a gift card here for Christmas, I never heard of them and decided to try it out. I walk in with no clue what I wanted and left with my favorite nails I have ever had. Jinny was amazing! I was very reluctant to go back to a salon during the pandemic, but this salon does an excellent job of making sure every one is safe. It well spaced, clean and have excellent safety protocols in place. And of course they do an excellent job on your nails too!

Jinny was amazing! She was so open and easy to talk to! Jinny was the first manicurist who gave me free will to tell her exactly how I wanted my nails done! Everything was clean organized and fresh! Great customer service and my nails turned out amazing!

Great job! The salon is so cutely decorated. Jinny did a great job with my nails. Ive lived in Kildeer for most of life and have never been here. I was looking for a new nail place and I found it! The salon is very clean and they take your temperature as your enter. They give you hand sanitizer as you enter and have plastic dividers between each station and between you and the technician. I also appreciate being able to make appointments online and pay online.

I was looking for a new nail salon and I saw all the positive reviews about VIP nail and spa so I wanted to give this place a try. I am so happy I did because I found my forever nail salon. Jinny took her time to correct my nails from my previous nail salon and I couldn’t be more obsessed with the result. Thank you Jinny and VIP nails!!!

Tried this salon for the first time a few days ago, it was solely based on google reviews which were pretty good. It was a last minute decision to book so I am aware that whomever I was assigned to was likely to be newer which always makes me nervous but as a new customer w/no referral, there is no way to know. It was just ok, she was very careful w/the cuticle cutting which Im always SUPER nervous about. Pedi was good, polish is a bit thin in a couple spots but was overall it was a good job. Manicure was good up until the point of polish, I wanted glitter statement nails and the polish did not set, it wiped right off. She was also given another client nearing the end of my mani and it was clear she was frazzled and rushing to finish. She had to redo the polish on both statement nails and it all felt rushed, I had to remind her to do a 2nd coat of polish before the top coat. The front desk girl ended up finishing my top coat as my nail tech had already moved onto the new client. It was upsetting since I really really wanted to have found a place I felt comfortable getting my nails done at that is close to my home.

This is my go-to-place in Lake County. I have tried many places, and this one is the best. Chloe is so sweet and she really takes her time on your nails. The remodel is amazing, and is very fresh and clean looking. You never feel like you’re being rushed and they are taking all the necessary precautions during this time. You won’t be disappointed if you come.

The customer service was so wonderful. The nail techs did an amazing job on the Mani and pedi and really took their time which I appreciate. The place is spotless and so clean and they do nice touches throughout your service. I will always be going back to them!

We went for pedicures and it was our first time coming to VIP nail & spa. The interior is so clean and calming, with barriers between nail stations for extra precautions. We were greeted warmly upon entering and had Chloe and Sophia do our pedicures. The whole experience was great, the tools were all new or sanitized and it was very relaxing. Cant wait to go back!!

Highly recommended - Ive been coming here for 8 years, and Ive always been happy with them, but they did recent updates and redecorating that have made the place so beautiful and relaxing. For covid-19: Everyone was wearing masks, every pedi and mani station had nice little plexiglass partitions between them, and they checked temp at the door with one of the touchless thermometer models. As usual, the technicians were friendly, respectful, and focused on their work. I never feel rushed. Today I also upgraded to an exfoliating pedicure ($50 instead of $25) and I have to say, it was SO worth it - after all the sugar scrub, massage, and oils, my feet and legs feel AMAZING. They take walk-ins but you can make reservations online which was SO convenient for me.

The technician i had was Chloe? And she was friendly, precise and efficient. And my mom’s technician was also very nice.The salon was very busy with appointments but they were to squeeze us in between without keeping the others waiting.Highly recommend!

This nail salon is clean, organized and the people are so friendly. They have wonderful customer service. I really recommend it! I have been going for years and never had a bad experience. I always see Chloe, she is amazing. Mina is fantastic as well.

Honestly it takes a lot for me to complain. I’ve come here a few times. I moved to lake Zurich so it’s nice to have somewhere close by. I’m driving to crystal lake from now on or trying a new place. $60 for a full set plus tip is insane. They never understand what you want and try to con you into the full set for more money. Always has to grab the guy at the front to clarify. First two times a nail came off after two weeks and they tried to tell me it was my nails. I had fake nails for 4 years solid. Never an issue. Then took an 8 month break to strengthen the nails and give them a break. And he said it was my fault they were falling off and I must work on a computer... I don’t. Always make people wait when some of the girls are watching tv. I have just never had a nail experience be as confusing so expensive and just poor service. The lady is nice.. I think it has a lot to do with the guy up front.

This time we had an appointment so promptly started and to what I have seen they are pretty good about keeping the tools in a hygiene and sanitary manner. My daughter loves her once in a while treat package (pedi and mani). She loves the massage and extra attention they give.

I tried going in to fix one chipped acrylic nail, and one woman told me it wouldn’t be possible even though there were free technicians. Another employee tried helping me and told me they could maybe fix my nail a few hours later for $15. An acrylic fill is usually $20, so this was ridiculous. I left and will likely not be going back.

I always have a possitive experience coming to this location. Nails always look great, and they are very nice. I have extremely sensitive skin and am able to get my eyebrows waxed at VIP. I have tried about 20-30 other places, in varying price ranges over the years, and have broken out from every single place but VIP.

The ladies are very nice, however I made an appointment for a full gel set. When I arrived they said that they only offered gel polish. I showed them their own website and asked why it was listed under services and why they accepted my phone appointment. They just said they didn’t know! They apologized.

VIP is a wonderful place to relax and be pampered! The owner and all of the nail specialists are so friendly. I would highly recommend!

My only complaint is that theyre pretty much always busy... But thats because their prices are fair, my nails always look fantastic, and the entire staff is friendly and welcoming! Clean, relaxing atmosphere.

This place is terrible and very unprofessional.Made an appointment ahead of time but there was no one to do my pedi.The girl that finally ended up doing it was Terrible and acting as if this pedi was a punishment for her! On the top of it I basically got a color change, not a pedicure. But I paid full price for a pedicure! The way she colored my nails was of a very questionable quality (uneven surface and bumpy). I was upset about this whole ordeal and didnt really feel like leaving a tip, but didnt want to be rude either. So I went up to the girl and gave her a tip and I said thank you. She had such sour face and didnt say a word, just passed me by and left.That did it for me. Zero stars for this place. Never again!

Friendly but overly priced for a full set of Acrylic. I have had 2 nails break on me in less the a week of getting them done and it took the lady almost 2 hours. Wasnt worth the 50 dollars I paid for a full set. I have never nails break on me like this . I wont be going back and I dont recommend this place.

First time going here and I was very happy! They squeezed me in when in all rights they should have said they were too busy because it is apparently homecoming weekend! But they still managed to fit me in and got my nails done very quickly!! I got a full set of acrylics and a BEAUTIFUL polish job done in under an hour!! They had Netflix playing on a large tv the whole time. Everyone seemed happy. Some of the nail techs looked exhausted, but cmon it was the end of the day on homecoming weekend! Lol. I got a short massage after my nails were done, which was very nice!! Overall, I have to say I was very happy and I think I will be going here again!
