I’ve been going to Velvet Nail Bar since day one. I love the service I always receive and they always meet my expectations. I used to do just plain color dip powders with Ethan, until one day after I kept seeing his nail art with other clients I decided to be adventurous and try a new look for my nails. Ethan is always ready for any design that you show him, and will make it look so easy. Pedicures there are my favorite too, I always go with my grandma and she loves it!This is my favorite Nail salon ever!!

I went in on a Thursday evening. I was about 10 minutes late due to traffic, however I did call in and let them know of my tardiness. When I entered the young lady at the front was kind and explained to me that I needed to wash my hands and someone will be with my in just a moment. I was seated for my pedicure and the young man who did it, did very well. Now when it came time for my nail, I felt rushed… I wanted to get dip powder as that is what was already on my nails. Typically, most Nail techs would let my nails soak over time before using the drill to remove the color. Therefore, when the young lady tried to take off my color she used a drill as if it was acrylic burning me more than once on my nail beds - later that night my nails felt tender into the next day. Young lady was real sweet, after we go to talking but the start of the session her and one other nail tech was working on removing my color which just made me feel like I was being rushed to get out, which fine if that was the case I could have taken my business elsewhere.Moving forward into the weekend I noticed Sunday my nails looks scrapped and one nail cracked on the side… mind you, I’ve been doing dipping powder for YEARS with my previous nail tech(she moved), so I know this isn’t quality work - I’ve never had this issue before with my previous nail tech and especially since I’m spending 40.00 for a service that didn’t even last me a week? Very disappointed. I gave this place a 2 star because the young man did a good job in my pedicure and the nail tech eventually opened up and started having conversation with me which didn’t make the experience so boring.

My mom and I had an appointment at 3:00 and I wasn’t started on my toes till 3:45. The guy that did my toes was really nice and did a good job but took another 45 minutes on the pedicure. I didn’t have time to get my nails done since I had somewhere to be at 5. My sister also had an appointment at 3 and didn’t get seen till 4:30!! And while waiting on her to finish I asked the receptionist if I could pay and she took like 15 minutes to “figure out” what we got. It was ridiculous. Here is a picture of my moms $45 toes…

The BEST nail salon! All of the staff does an amazing job and can duplicate any picture you bring in as an idea. Love this nail salon and won’t go anywhere else. 🤍

I LOVE this place! I tell all of my friends and family to come here!! Everyone I have met has been so friendly and make sure you get what you want. Ethan has been my nail tech for my nails and I had this really sweet girl (can’t remember her name for the life of me. It starts with a p., but she was amazing and did my pedicure and waxed my eyebrows). The only issue that I had was whatever wax is used, I am allergic to and my eye brows got super bumpy, red and itchy and took over a week to clear up. But that isn’t the salons fault. I 10/10 recommend this place and will continue to come back here for services. Thank you all for being so wonderful!! This is the very first salon that I have come back to twice.

Been going here and seeing Lein since right after they opened before they even had there grand opening, I have never had a bad set and always leave satisfied! She is amazing at her job and I drive and will always drive to see her. They are a bit pricey but overall great

I’ve been following them for quite some time now and decided to try and get in a removal and full set today and they got me in right away. I got colored ombré and they look amazing! The shape is on point! The girl next to me had a STUNNING nail design done on her set and I was amazed! Everyone is super friendly and I was not disappointed. I can’t wait to find what I want to do for my next set! Will definitely be back!!

Such a great nail salon. Go book an appointment with Monica. She’s wonderful to talk to and does a phenomenal job. I’ve been to many nail salons and have never had one that pays such close attention to the actual care of my nails (cuticle cutting, buffing, etc.). They usually just do that stuff quickly and try to get you out the door. Monica takes her time to get your nails looking RIGHT! Usually my gel manicures stay on for only 2 weeks, but she does such an amazing job that their lifespan has extended by a full week. You definitely get your money’s worth!

I absolutely love this place! It’s taken me a while to find the perfect nail salon for me and this is it. Everyone is so nice and friendly. I love the atmosphere. It’s very clean. I’ve been so impressed with everything I’ve gotten done here. I can tell everyone here cares about the services they are providing. Can’t recommend Velvet Nail Bar enough!!!

My 12 year old daughter and I enjoyed an afternoon together having our nails done. Both Lien and Ari did a great job and were very friendly!

I had an appointment at 5pm. Walked in at 4:50 and 4 people were waiting. I watched 2 people walk out. The girl that came in behind me got pulled back before me. No one called to tell me they were running late and I live in volusia county. They called me back at 5:30 and sat in the seat waiting for someone to help me. At 5:50 I walked out. Unprofessional. If someone has an appointment and you are running late might be a good idea to call or text! First time going and last.

Not terrible, honestly my pedicure was great and i’d give 5 stars if it were just for the person who gave me the pedicure but my acrylics didn’t come out to the quality paid for at all. The edges came out badly, was really rushed, they’ve been the worst acrylics i’ve gotten in a while, and they didn’t even ask me to wash my hands before we started, service just wasn’t great either (that’s gross especially since covid-19 is still going on). I would have been better off going elsewhere.

Monica always does a great job! Occasionally, I have her hand paint a design on one or two nails. She is very talented. Salon is clean and staff is friendly.

I’ve been to several nail salons to try them out as I just moved to the area. By far, this nail salon is the best. If their goal is to focus on amazing nail technicians then they’ve succeeded. I’m very annal with my nails and the quality work Diana put into my nails to make them look perfect was a great thing to find. I’m making this nail salon my new nail home.

Saw an ad on FB & thought I’d give them a try. LOVED it! I booked my appointment with Ethan for a full set. I was 5 minutes early & as soon as I checked in I was seated & Ethan started working on my nails. Showed him a picture of what I wanted & Ethan delivered. He is fast but pays huge attention to detail. I normally feel rushed & they leave little imperfections on my nails but Ethan left them perfect & it didn’t take a long time. The guy who did my pedicure did an amazing job as well. I’ll definitely be back & if you’re thinking about checking them out, definitely do!

First Ari is THE BEST !!! I came in with a picture and she gave me EXACTLY what i wanted. She os fun to talk to and very professional. My pedicure came out perfect! Plus they gave me a mimosa while gettting my pedicure! HIGHLY RECOMMEND and ask for Ari !

I got my graduation nailsdone with Ethan and let me tell you he is the absolute best nail technician I have ever had. Perfect is an understatement. Theyre so beautiful, very even, he was extremely gentle and nice. He even gave me an adorable business card, if that isnt creative i dont know what is. I will definitely be coming here again. The establishment is clean, smells great, and comfortable seating.

Ethan was amazing. It was my first time there and I was already super nervous because I bite my nails so they needed a lot of work 🤦🏼‍♀️. He never made me feel uncomfortable about my bad habit, when other places I had been to have made rude comments about it 😢 We actually had really great conversation. He knew some of my students!!! I had to find a new salon with my schedule being so crazy and so happy to find velvet opens on Sundays and right when I walked in I was attended quickly.. smooth check in and adorable salon! I get my nails done by both Ethan and Lien and they are both absolutely amazing! I have never once had a bad experience and they are always very caring and welcoming. Everyone at velvet always makes sure you are comfortable and taken care of. They are always amazing at what they do and there is not something I’ve run into that they can’t do yet! I’ve gone to this place so much, i love the designs that they’re capable of, but they last literally one week. I just got a fill on a Friday and they came off 4 days later??? I’m super sad because i really enjoyed them and their art but the acrylics? nah.

Overall nice nail shop but extremely overpriced with no price list for nail services displayed I had french tip full set for 75.00 which I thought was a normal pink and white with powder color but she used cheap white gel polish over acrylic and the acrylic is already chipped and lifting after a week whatever products they are using are very cheap and low quality I did enjoy my pedicure though. Definitely will not return

I came here for the first time since moving to the area and I had my gel acrylics done by Ethan and my Pedicure was done by Prisa and I am seriously not exaggerating when I say I’ve never gone to a better nail salon! They were incredibly professional and very knowledgeable of their products. The salon itself is very well kept and so cute! And for those of us who really care about the atmosphere, let me just say I’m someone who’s easily uncomfortable and I felt VERY comfortable and my needs were very well met, the ENERGY in there is so so so so nice, from the moment you walk in the the very last second you close the door behind you. The techs were very friendly and chatting with them was very nice 10/10 Highly highly recommend to anyone looking for a new nail salon.

I went to Velvet for the second time today, and i feel like i can give an authentic review. my first experience wasn’t the best. i had come in one day as a walk-in, and had to schedule an appointment for the next day because everyone was busy. despite having an appointment, i was serviced 2hrs after my scheduled time. admittedly, i was frustrated but i understand that there are delays and rough days. I was a bit bummed out to find that i wasn’t even given a discount after the continuous back and forth inconvenience. nonetheless, my nail tech was extremely polite and did my nails well. my nails still came out beautifully. my second experience was 100% better. i arrived earlier in the day, around 11 and was able to be seen as a walk-in. Ethan did my nails neatly and quickly, and even helped me with picking the color. I absolutely love my nails and the service provided my second time visiting the shop.

Booked an appointment days in advance and waited an hour for my appointment to start. The receptionist was not helpful and let others who were walk-in go before me. Waited so long I ran out of time and couldnt get my pedicure. The nail tech Jade didnt even apologize just said they were busy when I finally sat down for my manicure. Wont be returning since they dont value your time

This place is NOT worth all the hype. They are only interested in the high spending customers getting super fancy nails. Not for regular folks!! Ethan was very rushed doing my acrylic refill as if my basic refill was below him. The edges of my nails are rough, not smooth. Every design I showed them that had multiple colors but pretty simple design turned into a big discussion as to why they can’t do it. It felt like they were all pushing me to get gel nails & pay the $25 more. I’ve gotten fancy designs with regular polish at a different nail salon with no issues whatsoever. The pink I had on my nails before is still showing around the edges of my nails AND two of my nails are lifted & not attached to the acrylic. And let me add, this is a nail BAR, however; when I asked for a drink, she said we have water. When I asked if they had anything else, she said oh yes we have red wine, white wine and mimosas. So they don’t welcome you, sit you down and offer you a drink. You have to ask for a drink and my request seemed to bother them. Lastly, they charge you for EVERYTHING!! Nail shape, more than 2 colors, skin grater for your feet, etc etc. The only good thing about my visit was the pedicure Philip gave me. He did a great job! I went back the next day & they fixed the problems but I still do not recommend going to this place for basic refills or designs. This place is not for the average person.

The nail techs are super nice here but always seem rushed to get services done so the experience lacks and isn’t very relaxing. Each time I’ve gone I’ve been passed around to 2-3 different nail techs even though I’ve had an appointment and arrived early. I got SNS on my nails and they’ve already chipped within the first week but it could just be the quality of their products that caused it. Ethan and the techs are all super nice and helped me with any questions I had, so I will give the salon a few more tries before moving on. I do think they have potential but have just had trouble adjusting to recently opening their doors/demand.

Y’all. Hands down best nail salon in central Florida! I watched them use clean products on my sets which is a big thing to me! Ethan is also an EXPERT at acrylics. XXL and ALL he can do it! I also got their most expensive pedicure and got massaged beyond all measures! I will be recommending to EVERYONE

I recently discovered this fantastic nail salon through Instagram. I’ve had multiple appointments there, one with Prissa and three or four with Mindy for dip powder nails and they have both done such a beautiful job! My natural nails have grown so long and I’m so pleased with the care they take in the salon. Mindy has done some nail designs on a few of my visits, copying Pinterest inspiration photos and she nails it perfectly every single time. I can usually get three weeks out of one dip manicure before I have them redone- but they grow out beautifully with no lifting at all. I highly recommend Velvet Nail Bar in Lake Mary!

Velvet nail bar is such a great addition to Lake Mary! I stumbled upon them through Instagram and.decided to call them for a walk in on my day off. They were so accommodating and my nail tech Lien is the absolute best! She was able to remove my old set without damaging my real nails and she was able to copy a nail inspo I found online and did them even better! She is the sweetest and professional nail tech I ever had and she takes a lot of pride in her work!!!!

Ive been here a couple of times now let me say the pedicures are wonderful especially if you get one of the $45 ones but someplaces that I have some issues with is the nails they always come out fabulous but the pricing Im getting a little confused on because when I first started going new everything the works it was a bit High but I was okay with that but now going in and just getting the bare minimum polish fill. Theyre still just about charging the same prices as if I got rhinestones different polish colors they charge by the length they charge by the design is it good work but their prices is not the same every time you go. Makr sure you review you receipt.

I did not have an appointment but wanted to get a fill and fix the 3 nails that I lost in 2 weeks. I also asked for a pedicure. They advised that they were busy but I could come back at 5:30. I came back at 5:30 to only receive my pedicure because they technically closed once my pedicure was completed. Technician did a really good job but the customer service just wasn’t there. Soaking the remainder of my nails off but I will not return. ☹️

I went to this salon the first time 4 weeks ago. Prisha was my tech. She is very nice and does an amazing work. I went back yesterday and had another tech (Prisha was not available). Nails turned out nice but she was in a rush and honestly made the whole experience kind of uncomfortable. She drilled on my nails so fast that it hurt.

My nail tech was Ethan. They were very fast and efficient, matched the picture perfectly. Pricey in my opinion. But overall good service.

Went for the first time this week and loved it! Super efficient, super reasonable prices for the services they are able to offer, and Lien even stepped in to do designs to make sure it turned out the way I wanted. Will be going back!

I have gotten my nails done by Lien 3 times now and she has done an amazing job each time, the shape is always on point and she always do exactly what I ask for.

I go to the velvet nail bar located in Lake Mary I have never been so impressed. They have a really nice selection when it comes to different pedicures. I get my nails done by Ethan who is bomb! He always gives me the shape I ask for and design. He is fast with his work as well which I love. My nails last 3 weeks.

I debated whether or not to write a review based on my experience here and after reading previous low reviews and managements disgusting responses to them, I found it absolutely necessary to share my experience. Upon visiting this businesss social media page you will see that they pride themselves in the perfection and relaxation available at their nail salon, however their service is far from this. To begin, they lack professionalism. I had booked my service online and I was one of their first appointments of the day, yet they had no idea what I was in for, they were not prepared. I was also sat with a technician that I did not request and who was late to the appointment. Again, I scheduled right at their opening time. When my nails were halfway done, the nail tech directed me to the pedicure chairs so that I could get my pedicure done while she worked on another client. I found this very unorganized and unprofessional but I went ahead with it. Next, their work is far from relaxing. The massage during my pedicure was painful, not relaxing. The technician massaged my calves in the same spot rather aggressively, so much so that I wanted to tell him to stop. Fast forward and Im directed back to my initial nail tech so that she can finish my nails. My nails burned as she filed them and she even managed to hurt my cuticle. Again, NOT relaxing. The work was quite mediocre compared to the pictures they post on instagram... I had color powder done with a design, which is most of the type of work shown on their instagram page. If I am being charged the same prices as the clients on instagram, then I should receive the same quality of work as the clients on instagram. Also, some customers are offered drinks and others like myself are not. Another ironic part of visiting this salon is that all the techs wear masks but do not sanitize in between clients. Just because someone washes their hands before approaching the desk, does not mean that sanitizing is not necessary. Which brings me to my next criticism, their desks are messy and dirty. I can understand the desks may have product that spills and just does not come out, but I was almost grossed out by their condition. I can only imagine what laws. they may be violating... The nail salon boasts about their standards and claims to prioritize customer satisfaction, but what kind of place that cares about customer satisfaction reacts to reviews the way this salon has on past google reviews? Instead of receiving criticism with an open mind, management approaches criticism with arrogance and seems to have an excuse for any and every complaint. And how high could their standards possibly be if not every client receives the same quality of work? I wanted to support a new business but instead was completely disappointed. I am not one to usually post reviews, but if we are paying for a service which you supposedly provide, then we deserve to receive that service. No one should ever have to leave a nail salon feeling disappointed especially when you pay so much money for your services.

This was my first time at Velvet Nail Bard but definitely not the last! Ethan was incredible and gave me not only what was on the picture I brought in but also modified it to fit me personally. Will definitely be becoming a regular customer here

I absolutely LOVE this place !!!!!Ethan did my nails back in April for my birthday and I must say this was the best set I HAVE EVER HAD!!!!I recently returned to get my nails done by Ethan and toes done by Prisa and again was amazed by how beautiful my nails came out .This place is definitely a 5 out of 5 for me .They are clean, respectful, very welcoming and will always provide the best quality of work.

I too had Prisa, and found her work not only professional and beautiful, but her personality was sweet and caring. She cares about the customers as individuals, not a wallet. I came back and had another nail tech( I won’t name because who knows, maybe it was an off day) but they were fast and not seeming to care when I said it hurt. She brushed this off as normal. When I arrived home I had actual wounds from filing off my skin.Normally I don’t give reviews and when I do it’s when I see a place as great. But I give one star wishing I could give less. I came on to read the reviews and see if this last tech was spoken of. And when I saw the one about prisa and the reaction by management I was thoroughly disgusted. Prisa is a jem among the rough and would be an asset anywhere. Why? Because she knows how to treat people. She treats them with respect and kindness not that of a money cow.Management, you should be ashamed for your words. Great handiwork isn’t great if it hurts and the person doing so continues dismissively. That’s not skill, that is speed ... and greed. Good for your bank account... not for the ones paying it. Someone who does great work and has a great personality is where skills lie. Because this is where you will get return customers and good reviews.

I wanted to love this place so badly. I booked my appointment online with Ethan, get there only to find out he doesn’t do “regular nail polish”, okay, fine. The woman who did my nails rushed so badly she had to take them off and re-do them 3 times before storming off because I asked to repaint the bubbly nails.. Ethan finally stepped in and I just asked for the polish to my removed yet again so I could take my business elsewhere. I had an appointment and she acted as if I was taking up too much of her time. Very disappointing. This might be a nice salon for other services, but not regular polish.

I went to this salon to get my nails done based off of their Instagram photos. The design I asked for was a marble pattern and what I got looked like a 2 year old did my nails. I have never complained and almost didn’t say anything because the woman was very sweet however when I pay almost $70 for just my nails I would like them to come out nice. When I came back and explained this to the gentleman he made it seem like I was complaining about the price. I’m happy to pay when the service is good but the work she did on my nails was not okay. He fixed them very rushed even though I told him he could just leave them white with no design if he had another appointment because i didn’t want him to rush. They came out better than the first time but they are messy. I’m not sure where they get the photos they put on Instagram but the work I received today was no where near that level. Also when I booked my appointment I specified gel polish and she gave me color powder without even asking me. My nails are completely bumpy from the powder that I didn’t even want. Overall the woman was very sweet but the work was not professional nail work and the gentleman that helped me was not very friendly. I would not recommend this salon.

Ethan does great work & he is fast! I like that he took the time to explain what i was getting and he even explained the pricing for fills. I love my nails! I like that i was able to show him a pic and he recreated the set!

Saw a add on Facebook and decided to try them out. Ethan is by far the best and very well paced nail tech. They have what seems like millions of colors and he can do almost anything you see or want done! This is definitely my new spot!

I give Velvet Nail Bar in Lake Mary 5 stars!🤩🤩🤩It was my first time going to Velvet Nail Bar I had a great experience they were so nice, took their time on my Mani/Pedi instead of rushing also they offered me a drink they service Mimosas and Wine which is plus I didn’t even have to ask at all. 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾The whole vibe of the place is relaxing and comfy I love the decor so cozy.I’m definitely coming back to Velvet Nail Bar my new nail spot!

This place was literally the best place i’ve ever been to! i’ve tried every nail salon in lake mary and never found on i really really liked till this. the quality of the nails beats every place in lake mary, the shape, the color, EVERYTHING!!! also everyone there was extremely nice and helped me get the best nails ever
