I got introduced to this place by way of my sister who gave me a gift card to this place. I had an appointment for a haircut and beard trim. Upon my arrival I was greeted by the owner, and Eva, my stylist. The entire experience from start to finish was exceptional and very pleased with how clean and friendly and professional the business is. The value for the services was right on target. Josiah gave my son the best haircut he has had yet. It was his first trip to the barber. Before this visit he had been going to Pigtails and Crewcuts in San Diego. It is very hard to stomach a $50 haircut especially when I’m in and out in 15 minutes (that’s $200/hr). I used them once before when I had a voucher and needed a hair cut pretty badly this time. People are nice and professional but price is the big deterrent from me being a regular, especially considering the place opening up in the same plaza that will be less than half the price.

My boyfriend never had a manicure or pedicure before. They made sure he was comfortable. He really enjoyed the headphones and tv and the whole environment!

A friend referred me to Hammer & Nails with a big thumbs up on the experience. I’m a fairly experienced salon and spa customer so was looking forward to trying a new venue. My friend set me up with a premium haircut and premium mani/pedi. The short answer is that both services were “10’s”. Haircut was precision with a straight razor cleanup of the neckline and the stylist had a good eye for line and weight. The mani/pedi was also precise with good attention to nail shape and cuticle grooming. What made the experience especially great, however, was the staff: attractive, attentive, and professional, each interaction was focused my comfort and enjoyment. This all occurs in a guy-oriented environment with private TVs/headphones and a complimentary beverage (soda, beer, cocktail). Terrific!

Wow! What a great first experience. Ive never been to a Mens salon before. So to start with my pedicure was awesomely performed by Ronnie a super sweet person! I give her an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10!! Multiple times she asked me if I need anything or if this was ok or that was ok. Then my hair cut was performed by Roya. She is awesome. The post hair cut treatments she gave me were bomb, warm face wrap, head and neck massage, etc, etc!! This is my new goto!!

I love this place. Generally I only get a hair cut and beard trim. I figured I would try out the pedicure and manicure service because I had plenty of points. It’s quite a healthy form of hygiene with a balance of luxury. Great place and hard to go anywhere else.

I booked an appointment at Hammer & Nails for my partner for his birthday and we both were blown away with the experience. First of all the vibe of the place is cool and industrial. The chairs you sit in for the manicure/pedicure are SUPER comfortable and even lean back to give you more relaxation. There are headphones available and a remote to watch whatever channel you want while youre being pampered. The ladies were very welcoming, nice and Beverly did an amazing job! We will definitely be coming back again soon.

Van kills it! Got the haircut with the beard shave and beard coloring. She took her time and hit every detail. Shes kind and caring and keeps you entertained during the whole cut. Definitely will be going back to her and will be recommending!

Shave was outstanding and I would definitely come back for that and with the same person. She was outstanding. Manicure was was very good but the pedicure I would pass on in the furniture. You don’t use the same water to soak and scrub to rise the feet. Almost left when that happened.

I was very specific with how I wanted my hair to turn out and received an end result that was not satisfactory. I felt the hair dresser that was performing my hair cut was not well trained and I noticed the techniques being used weren’t advanced. I have been to similar salons at similar price points and found the hair dressers were not only more skilled but also more friendly. They were more responsive to what I had described and constantly asked me questions with how I wanted my hair to be cut and styled. A specific example I can give is my side burns. I have always kept my sideburns long and whenever I have gotten my hair cut previously, I have always had hair dressers ask me how long I wanted to keep my side burns. My side burns were cut more than half of their original length. In the end, I received a first time customer discount. The final price, even at a discount, was more then my previous hair dresser and no where near the quality of service I have received before hand. I felt as though hammer and nails service is more of a paid experience. An experience of a beautiful interior design, hot towels, and complimentary beverages. I would much rather go to a salon without any of these amenities and receive a hair cut that I am satisfied with.

We had a very good experience at your shop. Lili was well pleased with her shampoo, trim & blow dry and I for the first time, had a relaxing and fun time having a pedicure! The bottoms of my feet are extraordinarily sensitive and I normally am all over the chair during the process. Beverly was also a delight as a personality and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.My wife also observed that you went out of your way to make her feel welcome. The staff was friendly and informative. The fact that there is a membership promoted to get reduced rates is off putting. Although I was offered the membership price for my haircut as a first time inventive it was still a bit price at $40. Granted it included shampoo (post cut) and a hot towel scalp massage. My cut was satisfactory but just average; a little choppy. I also had my rather full beard trimmed. For which my stylist did a pretty nice job. Overall, Im satisfied but not really motivated to return.

I am an extremely critical individual and to explain how amazing Hammer & Nails Grooming Shop for Guys is, this establishment and their management team is INCREDIBLE. The services offered are amazing. This is where I go to relax and decompress. I have experienced their hair cut services superb, all their premium manicure & pedicure treatments all are excellent, but my favorite is the Milk & Honey Combo. I have also had services from a wide variety of service providers and each and every one of them are amazing so you can confidently see each and every one of them with confidence.

I have experienced Hammer & Nails a few times in the past and decided to set up an appointment. I called and I was accommodated with an appointment later the same day! I showed up and walked in and was offered my complimentary drink in moments. I always let my hair grow too long before going in for my next cut, so they had their work cut out for them. Julie did an amazing job cutting the mess of hair I had let grow on my head. She was funny and very interactive. She made sure she understood what I wanted to do with my hair and how she could cut it the best way possible. Needless to say, I returned home and my fiancee told me it was the best cut that shes ever seen on me since weve met. Ill definitely return and request Julie on my next visit.

1. Id like to first start out by saying I love my haircut. Why the 2 stars?Overall, my haircut took about 10 minutes max. A nice fade with a hair trim and thinning. I feel the haircut was rushed, but i was satisfied with the end result. Followed up by a wash and a couple minute head massage. Then that was it. No straight razor on the back or the sideburns, I still have stray hairs on my ears.. For $50, yes that is right $50!! I expected more than to be rushed out of my chair. Im not sure if my stylist was in a hurry to leave, but the whole experience was far from relaxing and I will not be going back.

Very nice place! But for me its was just way to expensive. I am not from around here and this barber shop was very close, i just had my side trimmed to a fade, that could be done better and a bit on the top. Was like a 10 min cut, and i also got my eyebrows done. At the end i paid 75 dollars. 50$ for the cut and 25$ for the eyebrows, wich is way to expensive for a not really perfect 10 -15 min haircut. Normaly i pay 25 dollars or 30 what i think is much already(with eye brows).The shop is very clean and the people that work there are super nice.

I have been getting monthly pedicures at H&N for the past year plus. Ive looked forward to my visits and special care for my feet and lower extremities as I am a diabetic and my feet need the extra attention. But that doesnt account for the friendly personalized service I receive. Always a happy camper when I be leave.

Beverly provided an excellent pedicure and manicure. She even recalled some things we talked about on a previous visit. I will definitely return to see Beverly in the future.

This is an great place for guys. Ive been here 2 times. First time I got a hair cut and was really pleased. Next time I received hand and foot grooming - Signature Series, I think they call it. Girls are great. Man-cave for guys. You have to visit - I highly recommend this place.
