I called and they said no wait, we waited for an hour! After they started on me my mom waited for another 30 mins along with one of the main ladys being very disrespectful towards her! Past that she asked me what shape i wanted and i specifically said square not square round and you know what I got square round! As i still have my dip on today with an infected middle finger, i will never ever be going there again!

Staff is friendly, polite, and well trained. The atmosphere is very relaxed.

They give you an appt and you sit and wait. They tell you someone will be right there and you sit and wait. I barely have time for a pedicure much less waiting. This place is very crowded and feels ~. They did a great job of trimming and cleaning, but the color looked bad after one week. Most bottles were down to 1/3 and gooey. And they understand nothing you say- especially w masks on. Unacceptable.

First mani/pedi since the pandemic; When we walked in, I specifically stated that I wanted a pedi and mani and that I also wanted a full set of acrylic nails; After my pedi, I was seated in a chair, and when I again said that I wanted acrylic nails, was told it would be a 20 minute wait, so only one employee can do that?; Was asked what shape I wanted my nails, said “pointed, stiletto” and was told that would be $60.00-$70.00 due to “all supplies costing more due to the virus,” which confused me because I asked for the nails to be FILED, so the shape also went up due to the virus??; Also, as a paying customer, I do NOT appreciate being left sitting in a chair while other customers are tended to nor while every customer that walks in is greeted by getting up and going over to them, all from the owner. Lesson learned about this so called salon!!

I showed up at City Nails at 9:15am on a Tuesday morning, and did not leave until 12:30pm. I signed in on their little paper and sat to wait for someone to start my nails. Over the next hour after I got there, 4 ladies walked in and sat to wait. All four of those ladies had their nails started & finished before anyone touched mine. It took 2 hours of sitting (mind you they weren’t busy) for them to start on my nails. Virginia was my nail tech, I had to keep telling her my nails were uneven in length, uneven across, they were bumpy, etc. I kept showing her exact spots that needed to be fixed, and she just ignored it. Pam (the manager) was rude to me the entire time also. When my nails were finally finished, I was shaking with anger and disappointment that I spent $40 on the most awful dip set I’ve ever seen in my life - a two year old could’ve done better. I didn’t have any more time to spare there to make a fuss because I was already going to be late for my 1:00 class. So I left, and immediately called Pam to explain how awfully I was treated and how she deliberately had other customers before me. I had been going to City Nails for at least 6 months straight prior to this, my nails were never perfect but it was never anything I was upset about. But this set I got was absolutely horrendous and I will never be bringing my business back to these people. There are other much better salons in Lafayette in the same price range that do way better work. I will include pics.

Great service and the ladys there were kind to me and was okay with all of my changes I wanted on my nails..and they took their time to make sure I was satisfied.

Not happy at all. Went for a dip manicure and left in pain. I asked if they could not file my nails too short and she continue to do so three separate times, very rough and did not take their time at all. I love my color but was I’m satisfied with every other aspect of my experience. Absolutely will not be going back

This nail salon is by far the best Ive been to in 10 years of living in the area! The employees are awesome and the work is so perfect! If you want a nice day out not being rushed, with the most natural nails this is the spot! I highly recommend!!

I moved away and have not found a salon as great as City Nails. I drive two hours to get my nails done. They are that good as far as I’m concerned!

This is the best nail salon by far that I’ve visited in Lafayette! They care about their customers and remember our faces and most of our names! They do amazing nails and very thorough pedicures and their eyebrow waxes are great also! Mary is by far my favorite nail tech and Nancy does amazing pedicures! Granted all of them do a very good job and Pam keeps everyone on track! They do get super busy some days and it may seem like they aren’t as attentive but when you have hundreds of people coming in a day sometimes all at once for services trying to keep everyone happy just doesn’t always happen! But what I’m trying to say is don’t listen to negative reviews about one experience! Find our for yourself! This is the only place I’ll ever get my nails done and have for years! Like clockwork, every other week.

My new favorite place! You can tell the employees liked their jobs and wanted to make your experience good! I was surprised at how the employees remembered the customers. I loved my nails and will definitely be coming back!

Ive been going here on amd off for 10 years. They remember everyone. Always super nice & helpful. Beautiful updated nail salon and tons of color, style, and service selections all at a reasonable price.

Love this place! Been coming for years. They have boxes you can put your name on if you want your own tools but I never feel like the disinfected regular tools are dirty. They just expanded the shop and its huge now. Theyve also hired some more girls. I love coming here and knowing Im going to get a consistent pedicure. Only place in town to give you a full 30 minute pedicure for that price ! I love my $12 shellac ! Workers are efficient when theres a line and as long as you get to know the busy times its no burden!

They took very good care of me and the shellac nails held up so well I had to go in to have them professionally removed. No breaks, no chips and very natural feeling

Please dont go here. They are way too worried about getting their pedicure money. I just wanted my nails done and Pam was too worried about stopping every 5 seconds to test pedicure water and make sure they were taken care of but could care what I wanted or needed. I dont even think she looked at me except when it was time to pay. She didnt even wash her hands when she would come back to do my nails after testing many waters.

Clean and always busy. Be prepared to wait and not know what is going on.

For the last 3 months everytime I go in there the lady tells me an hour to 2 hours for the wait time. And I was a dedicated customer for 12 years....... Mind u while she is telling me this wait time there are workers available

If I could leave 0 stars I would. We called and they said no wait, we waited over an hour. It was me and 2 friends. 1 friend couldn’t even get her nails done and they tried to charge her $8 for soaking off. Then they proceeded to charge me and my other friend $8 to soak off in addition to getting gel nails for $12.

Horrible service don’t even waste your money here and make sure you don’t get Kelsey to do your nails I went about two weeks ago to get my nails done and asked her to shape my nails as the coffin style and she tolled me very rudely that she had to charge me five more Dollars when I didn’t even ask for the price I didn’t care how much I just asked if she can shape them that style she looked at me with an attitude like she didn’t want to do that particular shape. Then she said that she had to leave my nails long and I asked her if I can get them kinda short she said no coffin style nails won’t look good on short nails!!!! Talk about good service ! If I want my nails coffin sryle and short you should want to please your customer wouldn’t you!? Also she made one of my fingers bleed and didn’t have the decency to apologize and just tolled me to not pick at it! SOO RUDE !!!! I will never be coming back ever don’t waste your time or money here there are other nail salons in town that know manners and treat their customers as their number one priority ! I too have seen them African Americans away, and in turn service the white Americans. It is sad that we are still dealing with such problems like this today in America. Half of the food comments on this review board are paid for through google from random people.
