In visiting from Denver and stopped in to get my nails done. I was so lucky to have gotten to get my nails done by the M.O.M himself. He took such good care of me and my nails, excited to come back into town and visit!

My nails came out beautiful I even messed my thumb nail up 3 times but cathy was still so nice about it and fixed it I definitely recommend going to LA nails if you want them to look amazing

This is the best nail place Ive been everywhere in knoxville my sister has went here for years the owner is known for having a technique for not removing acrylic which damages the nail instead he fixes where its lifting or damaged with his drill and replaces it with new acrylic! They love to joke with their customers very family oriented environment!!

I love this family owned and run business. I didnt get my nails done on the regular until I started going here a couple of years ago. Huy,Hugh, and Kathy are all excellent at what they do. Hugh is hilarious and has a great sense of humor as does Huy and it is always a fun and enjoyable experience getting my Acrylics done or a pedicure. Extremely professional and clean environment. I Am so glad I found this place near my home and I always look forward to seeing Huy and Hugh every 2 weeks.

Hugh’s salon is the best place I’ve ever been to have my nails done - the whole package - the people, the place, the service, the fair and great prices, and quality. This place is a cut above the rest. I’ve always loved having pretty nails but found it hard to justify the “damage” of acrylics/dip. Little did I know it can be done without damage to your natural nail! Hugh and his team, all of whom are awesome, really know the business. They take pride in their work and their clients. My nails are beautiful, my hands are healthy and I LOVE the “Hugh experience”! You’ve been warned, be prepared to laugh to enjoy pretty nails, too.

Hugh and his family were very nice. I can understand how someone might have mistook him for being aggressive but I would guarantee that he was joking around with them and they just did understand. He was very funny and I liked his sense of humor. We had to wait a little while but it was worth it because he did such a good job.

They do an excellent job on your hands and feet. They know exactly what they are doing.

This is the BEST nail salon in Knoxville Ive been going there for the last 14 yrs and wouldnt go anywhere else. If they ever closed I would have to get my nails soaked off.. they are that good!!!So if youre looking for a nail salon that you can call home, this is it...give them a try, youll be glad you did.

I have been going to LA Nails for 20+ years - since right after they opened their first shop in Knoxville. I work in downtown Knoxville and live near Knoxville Center Mall but even when I lived almost an hour away, I would still drive to their shop. I wont go anywhere else to have my nails done. My nails are always very pretty and I am always getting compliments on them. My visits happen every 2 weeks and are the one thing I do totally for myself. Everyone is always nice and Hugh keeps conversations lively bantering with the customers. The entire family is knowledgeable and concerned with making their customers happy. The only time I have seen customers turned away has been if they already have customers booked or waiting and even then, unless it is near closing time, they will be told they can either wait, make an appointment for later, or come back and they will try to work them in. I wish I could give them more stars - they definitely deserve them!

My daughter and I had our nails done 3 weeks ago today. I need a fill in and they look rough but, I have all 10 nails. NONE came off that in and of itself is a miracle. I work in a kitchen so my hands are constantly in water. Hugh said he could get them to stay and he did it. I have worn nails for years and never ever had them stay on for longer than a week. The salon is very clean and Hugh and his family are extremely nice. Going today for a fill in and I cant wait to show him 3 weeks and all 10 nails.

Would like to give zero stars if I could. Came in today for a fill in and Hugh worked on me. He decided to fix parts of my nails that he said would be prone to fungus if water made its way underneath which I was very grateful for. He said he wouldnt charge me for doing that this first time because he doesnt like hidden fees and it would be $16 but he charged me anyway. That was fine because he did take his time on my nails. Things went horrible when he became upset because I asked him to taper one nail a little more because it wasnt in the shape I requested. He told me he had already spent an hour on my nails and nail shapes may not be done correctly on the first time. I didnt say anything in response to that. Then when he was polishing he was moving in a rush leaving some spots unpolished and with particles in the polish. When I asked him to correct it he slammed the polish bottle down breaking it splattering nail polish on my skin. He told me he planned to go home early and wouldnt be able to do so because of me and that I shouldnt be picky with my nails. The shop closes at 7:30 and this all transpired a little before 7:40. He said I shouldnt mention things that are wrong if its the end of the day. That confuses me. He told me I thought my money was big though I never mentioned money at all. He told me to stop talking several times when I attempted to respond back to the comments he was making. Telling me not to go there as if I was going to respond in some crazy manner when in fact he was the one presenting himself with such anger and contempt and I was speaking in a normal tone trying to figure out what happened. Hes made a name for himself by being rude to customers and apparently some people enjoy that. I am not one of those people. I should have followed my first mind and gut feeling and not gone to this place. Most people probably think this man is being playful with his rudeness but hes an angry man who needs help. He seems to think that because he is knowledgeable about what hes doing he can treat people how he pleases and is very prideful. I was aware that he has a mean persona and overlooked his arrogance and snarky remarks but when you start breaking bottles because youre at work less than 10 minutes past the time the shop closes thats a problem. Imagine if the rest of us treated our clients and customers in such a manner, our expertise would not matter.

Hugh acts mean but truly He, Kathy, and their son do an amazing job. Best in town!

Would not recommend! Owner has a very abrasive personality, does not use liners in pedicure tubs, pedicure files, clippers, etc weren’t sterilized, they aren’t proficient in powder nails....I had 2 fall off within a week, the list could go on and on. Go elsewhere!!

NOT IMPRESSED AND RUDE ....My first time here and I walk in and he says can I help u I said I need....he Interrupted and said we are short staffed no more openings for the day. No more opening but y’all close at 7 it’s 5 o’clock . And I was bout to get my eye brows done a pedi and dip powder I’ll jus take my money some where else I’ll never come here EVER!!!

Ive been coming to LA Nails for over 15 years. Hugh and Kathy are the best! The prices are reasonable, they are fun, honest and ALWAYS do an excellent job. I would not dream of going anywhere else!

I have been a customer at LA Nails II since they opened over 4 years ago. The entire staff are extremely knowledgable and professional. They provide quality service at a reasonable price and most of their customers have been going there for a very long time. Another review stated the owner was rude but I was there the day she visited. He tried to educate her on her nails but she was beligerant and unbelievably rude. He was nothing but professional and courteous but had to ask her to leave when she became abusive. Hate to see such behavior from people but some folks you just cant please.If you are looking for a nail salon - I would HIGHLY recommend Hugh and his staff! You wont be disappointed!
