Very friendly staff. Knowledgeable students. Overall awesome experience. Would highly recommend Cody or Sydney
My teenaged daughter wanted a color correction, from dyed brown to blonde. (NOT box dye) I know this is a difficult, generally long process that can be accomplished in several visits if the hair needs to be gently processed. Expecting that, I explained what she wanted and what products had been used on her hair previously. The stylist said ok no problem, seemed to understand the job, and took my daughter to a station. I took her sister shopping nearby while she was being worked on. When I came back an hour later the stylist was quite vigorously brushing her wet hair with a brush while blow drying. Not only was her hair not bleached, it was highlighted with small and large streaks on mostly the top layer of hair. The highlights are every shade of orange and yellow you can imagine, so I assume no toner was applied. When I asked what happened the stylist said the instructor thought the hair was too compromised to do what we asked. So WHY didnt they tell us that before they wrecked her hair?!?! And if her hair is so compromised why was she aggressively brushing it wet AND applying heat?? My daughter has been in tears since we left and Im extremely disappointed. This hair disaster could have been avoided.
The salon chairs are extremely uncomfortable. I would have liked to have known ahead of time that tips are cash only.
Best place in town for a haircut. This beauty school looks like a high end salon. I was served promptly. The stylist was very friendly, and detail oriented. Plus, my haircut was $6!
Chau is amazing. As a phase 2 stylist I couldnt have asked for better results. I had Lightner in my hair from a Previous hairstylist and continued after 3 visits to not get my results (from light brown to my goal of blonde). There was a lot of discoloration and Orange tones to my hair and Chau fixed it without a problem. If you are a blonde and need someone to do your hair go to Chau. She did an amazing job for how long my hair is and the thickness. There is finally dimension to my hair that looks natural. Thank you so much, Im so much more confident now that I finally got my hair where I wanted it to be. Have booked my 5 week appointment already.
AVOID AVOID AVOIDBelow are pictures of what my wife went in asking for, and what she came out with. They stayed an hour after closing and still left her with these results. Knowing she was displeased they told her she could come back and theyd make it more like she wanted IN A WEEK WITH THE SAME PERSON (I refuse to say stylist) THAT DID THIS HORRIBLE JOB IN THE FIRST PLACE. We could not be more disappointed and I could not recommend you STAY AWAY from this place more.
I received a good hair cut. The student was meticulous.
I just returned from receiving a haircut at this salon. I showed a picture of the cut I was asking for to the stylist (as well as the instructor) and my hair does not look at all like the picture (yes, my hair is of the appropriate texture for the cut I requested and I have had my hair cut in that exact cut and shape previously). The stylist layered my (thick and long) hair with thinning shears as opposed to cutting the layers in correctly with regular scissors (the stylist cut through all of my hair with the thinning shears and then repeated the process at varying lengths down my hair). I do not know if this is how schools are teaching layers to be cut now, but if so, I plan to find an older stylist who was taught how to cut layers in the old style. Additionally, I requested that only 5 inches be cut off (I showed her exactly how much); my hair has lost about 8-9 inches of length. Currently, my hair feels thin and is much shorter than I requested. In addition to the poor techniques used in cutting my hair, the instructor was nonexistent throughout the cut (which took over 2 hours). The instructor engaged in one quick consultation with the stylist before she shampooed my hair; he never returned and also signed off on the cut before she completed it.I know that there is a 7 day satisfaction guarantee, but frankly, I do not trust them to fix my cut. I will be going to a professional salon to have my cut fixed. I may have saved some money on this cut, but by the time I have had it repaired (if it is even possible), I will have spent significantly more.
I always get my hair cut here & love it! Ive never had a problem with the students cutting my hair. They always take their time to be sure its right & their instructor checks behind them to be sure its right. Not to mention that the cost is very reasonable for all of their services. Thanks for another great cut!!
Kyla did an awesome job! The staff is always professional but fun.
I’d like to first say the prices at Paul Mitchell’s are super reasonable. However it can be a hit or miss for me personally when getting services from here, because it usually depends on the student you get placed with. I’ve had some really talented students, but I’ve also had some pretty terrible students that seemed clueless on how to deal with my curly hair.I’m always a repeat customer though and that would be my only major complaint.
I had a great time! The instructor, student and I made a plan of attack. Abigail was smart and funny. My hair looks fabulous! I was surprised that it took a couple of hours but we had fun 👸 Make sure to make time for a good time! #confident
I always love what they do. Thank you for being there during this Covid
Everyone is really nice and helpful. My daughter got her long, thick hair trimmed and blow dried and it looks beautiful. As good as any of the other salons weve been to. It did take over an hour but they were crazy busy and I would rather have a student take their time and be comfortable and confident with their work. Instructor that was checking her work was very friendly and approachable as well. As long as you give yourself plenty of time its definitely worth it. Plus its a nice, upscale salon. Will be going back at some point Im sure
My wife has been going here for years and she always looks amazing when she returns home. The only drawback is the amount of time it seems to take them there BUT some things are worth the wait! She always raves about the girls who do her hair and the great price! Well worth it!
Amanda did an excellent job! She was thorough and discussed what she was doing and why.
Ive been coming here consistently for 2+ years (my mom comes too, for the past year+) and have been pleased with the results. In the very few times where I wasnt entirely happy, they made it right. Its a school, so I expect to be there longer than a pro salon, but the students consult with instructors and one another to make sure theyre doing what I ask. Its just hair is my motto (I have long, relatively straight black hair) so as far as styling, I pretty much let them do what they want - artists choice. Im usually pretty happy with the different results I walk out with, and always get a compliment or two :-)
They were ABSOLUTELY AWFUL!!!I took my son and myself and they messed up both colors and i had them stop !!😡😱😤😠NEVER GO HERE!!!
The girl who did my highlights was very nice and she did a long hard job of putting them in. My issue is with the instructor. The first time they didnt want to tone my hair. I insisted they tone it, and they decided the color. It was way too blonde still, so I came back the next day saying this was not right ( it was closing time and I didnt want to keep the student(. They fixed it, then the instructor said oh yeah, I thought it was gonna be too light. And Im like okay, why didnt you say anything last night. Then they proceeded to charge me to fix what they admitted was a mistake.I wont return, mostly because if they make a mistake, and admit they make one, theyll charge you to fix it. I even asked when I called, and was told no they dont charge to fix mistakes, yet I had to pay a bowl fee for the product they used. Please be aware of this if you choose to go here.
I have been to the school a few times in the past. I always had no time booked for the upcoming weekend on a week day before. I called in on Wednesday, No one answered.. I left a message and it said someone would call me later that day or the next. I waited until the next day around lunch and no one called me back. I went online and submitted a request with plenty of detail, the email that I received after submitting the Request said someone would contact me shortly Here I am the next day at 3pm and I called back in. Someone did answer the phone this time, I told her the story of my not so great experience so far.. only to be told not many students are there on the weekend and they had nothing available... OK? It would have been nice to say sorry about my experience ....or some sort of apology. I will be taking my money to Tennessee School of Beauty. I prefer to use schools because although they take more time they give the students much needed practice.
I brought my son for a tour as a potential student. The staff were super friendly and the school looks very professional and clean.
Great job, Fabiola
Worst place ever they will mess up your hair for sure I had to go back 3 different times for them to get it right then they wont give you your money back so beware of this place there students that dont know what the heck there doing color and cut!!!
My hairdresser recently retired and moved away, so I was in desperate need of finding rid of someone to get rid of my gray. I called and they got me in within an hour. My stylist consulted with the instructor to get the get just the right color, and she did a fabulous job! I have booked another appointment to get highlights in a couple of weeks.
Great customer service. My stylist was patient and listened to my wants and needs. Very reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend and will be coming back for sure.
A little hesitant after reading some of the reviews and having long hair. However, had a great trim and good advice. I am going gray and the super said highlights i wanted would not go great in my hair. The supervisors were around and Caitlin asked for directions. Will definitely go back!
I wasnt sure what to expect when I came to the Paul Mitchell school in Knoxville, but I couldnt have been more pleasantly surprised. Chelsea did a wonderful job on my hair, and I would definitely come back to see her. I chose Paul Mitchell because they dont perform cruel and unnecessary tests on animals. Im new to Knoxville and so glad Ive found an affordable and friendly salon that makes me look good AND feel good! :)
Wife loves it
All the snootiness of an NYC salon without one/tenth the quality. And may I add, that you had better not complain or even mildly criticize the end product or the service, or you might find yourself having the law called on you. They dont take even the nicest criticism very well.
I have never been to a beauty school to have my hair done but decided to give it a try. The set up is excellent and everyone was so welcoming.I had an appointment with Stephanie who was such a great person and she took on the help of April another student. I spent about an hour while they cut and styled my hair like I have never had styled before. They were very knowledgeable of what they were doing! It was such an excellent experience and I wish them the best in their endeavors. I hope to see them again!
Shanetta and her teachers, DeWayne abd LeAnn, are superb
Im giving an extra star simply because I didnt spend a lot of money on this crappy experience. Just dont try this place if you want to try something different with your hair and cannot aggressively explain what you want. It took so long and the end result was not what I wanted. I actually had to go back for correction (at least they didnt charge me for that). So yeah, I learned the hard way that you cant trust trainees with multi-cultural hair. Or most hairdressers in Knoxville really, but thats another story.
I came in to get my hair lightened, then highlighted. After it didnt turn out anything like I expected the first time, they were great about redoing it until I was happy with it. Have also come here for full color and root color, as well as haircuts, before, and been very satisfied. Takes a little bit longer, but they do a great job in the end!
I have had my hair cut there now 2 times, and my hair turned out way awesome! They must do a great job teaching, because the students are wonderful and extremely talented! I LOVE MY HAIR!! Sign up for the year long cuts, I did!
The first time I was there, although the stylist was nice, I wasnt a fan of him smelling like an ashtray working on my hair. Being late didnt help either.Second time around, I had Courtney (#015) and she was excellent. Great personality, respectful, and did a great job on my hair. She would be someone I would come back to and choose as my hair stylist.Sweet young lady with a lot of potential.Wish her the best.
EXCELLENT service. I would HIGHLY recommend going to see Morgan. She is very meticulous with her clients and their hair styles. She will not allow you to leave unhappy. Students are monitored regularly by their instructors and create a nice atmosphere for everyone. Highly recommend visiting this school.
I had a event to go to. So, I called for a updo for a Monday and they said that they would have students to do my hair. When I arrived a lady told us they were closed and Better luck next time. You wont be seeing me their anytime soon.
Juliana was very professional and did a great job.
I have been to The Paul Mitchell School several times and have been very pleased each time. Andrea was my wonderful stylist and color artist. I think its wonderful that these students have the opportunity to work in a true salon setting. I highly recommend it!
I’ve been coming here consistently for about a year and a half. I typically do a cut, full foil, and sometimes a conditioning treatment. I’ve always left happy and loving my hair! I highly recommend!
Ive been a client at this location for several years, and I havent had any major issues. Anytime I have had a minor issue, such as my roots going hot, its always been addressed promptly and professionally. Thats apparently not the case anymore. I went in last week to have my color touched up and to have my hair cut for an event I was attending in Nashville. The student was pretty great, as was the instructor. The only problem is they went way too neutral in an effort to combat my roots going hot. It happens, but I dont want to walk around with ashy roots. I called the school Monday (I noticed the roots over the weekend) and was told someone would call me back. I didnt hear anything by Wednesday, so I called again. The receptionist mentioned that she sees theres a note and isnt sure why I havent received a callback but ensured me shed slide a note under the supervisors door. By Thursday evening I still hadnt heard from anyone, so I called yet again and asked why Im not getting a call back. The receptionist very rudely made excuses for the supervisor who is supposed to be calling me back but ensured shed leave her another note. Today is Friday. It is after 4:00 PM. I STILL havent heard from anyone. I get it. I understand that life happens in ways were not happy with sometimes, but that shouldnt stop you from doing your job. It definitely shouldnt run off a client whos literally been giving you money for the better part of 6 years. Customer service has apparently died at this location.
I came a week ago and it wasnt what I was hoping for. That is not to say that the end result wasnt good. When you have your heart set on something, its better when you achieve it!!!! With that being said, they made me a follow up appointment to try again. They gave me another stylist, who is great! She went over what we were going to try and achieve and then she did again just to make sure. I almost wish she wasnt graduating so soon😉!! I will be coming back! The service they give is outstanding and they try really hard to give you what you ask for!!!
I have taken my granddaughter in for highlights for her long hair and I get highlights while they work on her. It is our special time together getting refreshed color. We have done this twice and plan on going back. I appreciate the attention to detail and the confidence in knowing the instructor is right there.
Had a great color and highlight experience with Tiffany. Always takes a bit longer at PM, but have to expect that at a school, so be patient. Every step is checked by instructor, even with Phase 2 stylists. I always request Phase 2 for color but have had a good trim with Phase 1.
This is the 3rd time that I have been here to have my hair colored. These girls do a FABULOUS job!!! The only problem is Im gonna have to find mind stylist when she graduates...because she is definitely going to be my future stylist 😊
I love this place, I have been getting my hair done since 2013. They have always done a great job with my highlights and the atmosphere is awesome everyone is sooooo nice. I will just say it does a little longer the a regular salon but remember we were helping these students graduate, so to me its worth it as well as the price.
I had absolutely perfect highlights (foils) done here by a student named Aliza Eddy. No brassiness, perfectly spaced, good root coverage. My hair was colored and styled in less than 2 hours and I totally love the results!!! This was better than any high priced salon I have been to..seriously! ....and I am VERY picky about my hair. The school does a great job all around and Aliza is very gifted as a stylist. Thank you Paul Mitchell and Aliza!
New Review - I had Jenni this past hair cut and she was great - I am due back next week for another trim. My hair is mostly grey these days and I hate that it no longer shines so Jenni has suggested I try a PM Clear Shine on my next visit and I am going to do just that. Stay tuned!Ive had MANY more expensive haircuts that I liked much less! My student was a Level II but she was very tentative. She listened but wanted to cut in stages so as not to cut too much. I appreciate that but needed short in this humidity - especially working on a house remodel. Next time I will ask for a student who is more proficient with short haircuts for graying hair. I actually found this school by remarking on a great short gray haircut I saw on a receptionist and asking her who did her hair.
I HAVE PAID UP TO 400 TO GET MY HAIR DONE AND I HAVE HAD A BETTER EXPERIENCE WITH THESE WONDERFUL PEOPLE THAN I EVER HAD WITH ANY HIGH PRICED SALON. I LOVE U GUYS AND YOU ALL DO AN AWESOME JOB. VERY HAPPY. THANK YOU SO MUCH:) SO SAVE MONEY AND HAVE A GREAT EXPERIENCE AT PAUL MITCHELL OF KNOXVILLE. MISSY GUNN:):)
It was very unprofessional on their part not to inform me that they did not have anyone to take care of me.I had called and made an appointment on Friday, for the following Monday, I received a call on Saturday to confirm, I receive a text on Monday 2 hours prior to my appointment, and when I reach there I am told they dont have any one to take care of me. I will never go or recommend this school.
I really enjoy going to Paul Mitchell School in Knoxville to get my hair done. The students are very friendly and everyone is willing to help out. The prices are very reasonable and you get professional services.
Nikki Price is EXCELLENT!!! I have never been disappointed with my color. She has been doing low lights and high lights on my hair now for about 6 months and I have loved it each time. She is a Phase II student. Go see her!
Morgan Snow did amazing work on my color! Nikki changed my life with the gloss drops she used on drying and cutting my hair! I already have my appointment set for next week to come get more done!!
I went in yesterday wanting a light trim. Apparently the student did not know what a light trim means because I got scalped. I went to the TSPA in Nashville for years and never had a student this bad.Two weeks later. You requested that I call you. I did and you were not there. I left my phone number and you never returned my call.
I came in with a very difficult question about color. I was with Adrianne and Angie and they are a blessing! I am extremely happy that I got to work with them! Will definitely be back to see them!!
This is a beautiful place and the people are super nice. If you are nervous about letting students work on your hair, rest assured that attentive instructors are always nearby. You should check out the virtual tour and you will see that this place is very high class and professional.
Olivia was exceptional! I not only felt as though I had known her for a long time because of her pleasant and friendly personality but she also is very meticulous and I love that! She did an amazing job on my hair and make-up!!!
I came here for my for my first time and it was great. The atmosphere was great and fun and everyone helped with my hair cut. My stylist Kendra did a great job and I would recommend Paul Mitchell to everyone!
I have had three appointments here so far and have had excellent haircuts all three times, The prices are amazing, especially the senior discounts on Wednesdays. Everyone is so friendly and eager to help. I will definitely go back!
Let me start by saying I have been to this school many many times. The students are amazing at color. I never have to worry about my color being bad because the students I get are supervised by their instructor and they always know what I am after it seems. I have gone to a pricey salon and payed 120 dollars to end up with green hair and then made an appt at pm school and they color corrected my hair and applied the right color for less then half of the original green mishap. Please !! If you are wanting balayage or a good color don’t do it yourself! Go to this school and get it done right!! They are amazing!
Fantastic experience. Very professional staff and the instructors were really great. I noticed that the instructors treated the students with respect and I loved that. Due to this, I made another appointment.
Jennifer Kimmel has taken good care is of my hair and few times now. She is careful to find out what I want. And makes helpful suggestionsI love my hsit. Easy to care for. The products she recommended are good. She is noninvasive. And courteous.
Had a fabulous cut and color today with Morgan! I feel great - my hair looks and feels so much healthier. I would highly recommend this place.
Great service and very kind students!!! However.. I was with my mother whilst she was getting her hair done when an extremely rude instructor with short purple hair comes and tells me that my chair was in the way and I needed to move it! So I said sorry and stood up, she moved my chair not even an inch to the side and said “THERE!” then stomped off. Not only was I not even close to any student or client, I was also out of the way of foot traffic! There was no need for me to move especially not just a half inch to the side... She spent the rest of my time there glaring at me every single time she passed. Inexcusable.
Had a wonderful experience with Hailey 021. I know she is going to go far in her career..hope the best for her, you guys here have taught her well...
I came to Paul Mitchell to get my hair done for my wedding with 7 of my bridesmaids. They did an excellent job! Everyone loved their hair and we were in and out in no time! Would definitely recommend coming here
My daughter wanted a certain haircut. The student to whom she was assigned looked a bit puzzled and the instructor, Chad, went to his car, got his personal hair-cutting utensils out, and used her as a teaching tool. I believe there were seven students around observing and learning while Chad worked his magic. They were even video-recording Chad giving her the female mullet. We had so much fun and my daughter was in love with her end result (and felt great that she was able to be used for instruction). The prices there are unbelievable reasonable and more than affordable. I took both of my daughters and for $12.00 each, both of them were pampered for over an hour! It was a fabulous experience and I cant wait to make an appointment for myself.
I just walked in to check prices, and they gave me a student and a great haircut for $12 without any wait! Nicole did a great job (even though her passion is for color and not cuts)! I have lived in the area for 6 years and I dont know why I never tried here before, but I will definitely be going back.
Ive been coming to the school for the past year and have always been pleased with the results. The students and staff are friendly and professional. Hunter gave me a trim 2 weeks ago and did an awesome job.
I had the most luxurious treatment when I went for my haircut. I will definitely keep going back to Paul Mitchell...thank you for my wonderful hair.
The staff was great couldnt ask for better. I love my hair they did a wonderful job and did exactly what I wanted. I will be back!!
Honestly this school seems to be a bunch of snobs especially those level 2 students (phase2) they think there better than anyone else but they did my hair awful a few weeks back!!! AWFUL!!! Never in my life have I met a rude bunch of students. You guys are in a school quiet the gossip. I don’t like listening to who you think is the worst classmate or that your customer was rude, you’re here to learn. And this is about a lot of you on both sides of the salon. Thank you very much!!!
I just had my hair done at Paul Mitchell in Knoxville by Alex and she was GREAT. Very friendly and knowledgable. She is going be an AWESOME STYLIST. I LOVE MY HAIR.
Austin is fantastic. He took the time to explain to me what he was doing. I have been here before and have always experienced fantastic service!!!
Brittany cut my hair and i am very satisfied. she has a beautiful personality and will go far in the cosmetology world. well done!!!
Ask for Zach if you go! Hes the best! He always does a great job on my hair! If Zach isnt available then ask for Jenny, she does a great job as well!
I have had my highlighted several times @ Paul Mitchell The School Knoxville and have always had a GREAT Experience. Everyone is so friendly and helpful.. I would recommend it to anyone..
I live in GA but come to The Knoxville School for my haircuts. I love this place for a full salon experience. Its great.
I got my hair highlighted and color I love it the girls were so nice and John was amazing I will be back I love my hair !!!
My first visit to Paul Mitchell School was about a month ago. The staff was very friendly, the instructors were accessible. I loved my haircut and felt like I had been to an upscale salon. I plan to return soon.
I really enjoyed the beautiful waterfall in the shampoo salon. Their products did wonders for my thin damaged hair. Ive already booked another appointment.
KELCY # IS AMAZING, THANK YOU SO MUCH PAUL MITCHELL THE SCHOOL KNOXVILLE FOR MENTORING SUCH A VIBRANT YOUNG LADY
On October 29, 2016, I had an appointment at 10:00 AM for a simple hair trim. When I called in, I requested a phase II level experience with someone who could cut very long and curly hair (because let’s be honest, not everyone can do this)! Again, I did mention that my hair was very curly and the length was to my waist. My friend’s wedding was this same day (out of town) as well and I wanted freshly trimmed hair when I arrived. I arrived around 9:55 AM for my appointment and did not leave out until around 11:45 AM! When the stylist asked me about how much I wanted trimmed I said around 3 inches or so. I held up my hand and showed about the amount I wanted off. Once she got around to the front of my face, I had a completed Bob hair cut!!! Yes, a foot or more hair was cut. Not several inches. I honestly get people requesting to buy my hair on a weekly basis and/or I get asked to donate my hair as well. It was very sickening to know that my hair was slowly chopped off and then threw away! I was in total shock honestly and I still am. It’s the first thing people ask me when people see me now. I have never in my 29 years of life been to a salon and requested a trim and come out with a foot or more hair gone! It took almost two whole hours to cut that much hair off as well! Needless to say, I missed my very good friend walk down the aisle as well. After receiving a phone call after writing this review, and asking if I could come in so that they could fix my hair, I asked if the person was level I or level II...they stated that she was level I!!! IF YOU DECIDE TO HAVE SERVICES DONE AT PAUL MITCHELL, CONFIRM EVERYTHING UP FRONT!I have had my hair trimmed at Paul Mitchell before (however, I did straighten it myself before coming in and still had to pay full price even though I was not getting it washed, blow dried, or flat ironed) and loved it but after this experience I will never be back.
After botching my hair with a boxed color, I made an appointment with Jaime at the Paul Mitchell School in Knoxville upon recommendation from a friend. I am absolutely ecstatic with the results. She used foil highlights and toned it afterward to correct my horrible brassy cheap look. Not only did she give me the color that Ive always wanted, but my hair feels silky soft instead of the straw-like texture that I have felt since I started using boxed color. I am so pleased that I went ahead and booked another appointment with Jaime in four weeks. Wow ... sometimes the worst mistakes turn out to be a blessing in disguise. No more boxed colors for me. Thank you Jaime and Paul Mitchell The School!!
I had a very positive experience. Everyone I interacted with was upbeat and helpful. The atmosphere is lighthearted and fun, and the team seems to work well with each other.
Just left there with a hair cut that looks almost like a mullet. Dont know what kind of cut this is but its definitely not what I asked for. Save your time and money. Go somewhere else.
Great service and I always walk out feeling like a million bucks! Octavia Weatherly is fantastic with clients! Will definitely be back!!
This is my third time getting my hair styled at Paul Mitchell, and I couldnt have been more pleased by MoMos work. She was extra gentle and never burned me once! :3I hope to keep getting my hair done by her.
I went in for a balayage and a shadow root. The shadow root turned out horrible and was uneven. I warned them that my hair pulled orange. After they dyed my hair it pull orange. So I have to come back the next day so they can fix it. They started to even everything out and fix the orange. It immediately started to look better till Angie the instructor cones over and starts to comb and she said blend. I asked her if her blending the lightener up into the shadow root would make it pull orange. She assured me that it wouldnt and not to worry. But when the washed me out.... surprise ... the top pulled orange. I spent a total of 8 hours there and I still walked out looking aweful. I will never go back!Oh and the kicker... at the end of the night one of the instructor told the student to not let Angie help her... I know why now.
Color and cut were done well by Phase 2 Kayla and a first day student helped her. Both did a great job and were very friendly.
She had trouble getting the right and left side even when she cut my hair, and ended up cutting it too short as a result. My hair turned orange after I asked her to make it a slightly darker brown. It was already brown, and uncolored. I returned the next week so that it could be fixed, and she put in highlights but no toner, so the contrast is very stark and unnatural. My hair is now fried, and the color reconstruction specialist at Ross the Boss said it was too damaged to hold color. So, I have to live with a color and cut that I hate, and will have to go on my honeymoon this way. Do not make the mistake of trying to save money here. You will spend twice the time and the same amount of money. Go to a reputable salon to start with.
My highlights were great. Everyone was wonderful and helped out a lot. Thanks for everything!!
Great experience! Everyone was very helpful! Good atmosphere. I will definitely be back:)
Got an amazing hair cut from Brittany this morning! GREAT personality and great skills! Thank you Brittany!
I have always had bad experiences with getting a haircut, so I havent been to a salon in almost 20 years till Saturday. After finally working up my nerve I jumped in the car and walked in to the school, I didnt make an appointment but they took me in right away. I got Halie Anna and she was simply wonderful. She colored and cut my hair, with an instructor the whole way. And it turned out perfect or a little better than I imaged it ever would turn out! I will be returning anytime I need a haircut or color, Im even taking my daughter to get her done here. Prices were great, spent under $50 for a cut, style & color. I would recommend them anytime.
This was my 1st visit to Paul Mitchell School here in Knoxville. The appearance of the shop was very upscale and clean. My stylest was very nice and did a wonderful job. The wash room was very serene. My visit was during prom season, so they were very busy, however they were effcient with getting the customers seen.
Requested a level II to have my haircut and told her upfront that my hair is curly. Also told her that I always flat iron my hair so my request was simple : my hair needed to be wet in order to get the simple haircut I requested round on the back, layers on the front framing my face, then flat ironed. In spite of my request she messed up my hair because kept cutting while my hair was curling, was ready to send me home looking like that until I reminded her that I needed the flat ironing, they told me it was extra and I agreed to it since was ready to pay for it, it was what I requested right before they started working on my hair. After they flat ironed my hair, it was obviously shorter on one side than the other, which not even their supervisor could fix. That supervisor looked at me and said well, you are at a school....then looked at the level II student and congratulated her on a job well done!!!???. Nobody ever apologized. I had to wear a bobby pin on both sides to hide the mess until my hair grew back. Never going back.
The Environment and People were Great. Kayla did a great job on my hair. Will For sure come back👍😊
