This review is long overdue. You don’t come across a mechanic/repair shop that you actually like(?) going in to. Usually car repairs are a nightmare. This shop does an incredible job at making sure you know your options and don’t recommend things you don’t need. The main guy at the counter explains everything to you with patience and is very understanding, which immediately lets you know you’re in good hands. The quality of work is top notch and the rates are fair.

I love this place. Its like the Wizard (if you know, you know) for the Pacific Northwest. Jay and his crew are absolutely customer first, safety first and it shows. Their customer service is top-notch and the quality of their work is consistently astonishing.Jays reminds me of when Kirkland was filled with Subarus and Volvos and not Mercedes and BMWs. Just a good and honest place with hardworking people.

Got my car from a dealer and didn’t catch a torn cv boot and a bad oil leak. Took it to them once for the cv boot, they replaced it in no time and called me up to go pick up. They made sure everything was working properly and accordingly with a test drive before handing over the keys. A little later I had a very bad oil leak. Not sure from where but my pan would be empty after filling it up the day before. (Wasn’t a busted pan or gasket) anyways they fixed her right up and sent me on my way. Couple months later I have not had any issues with my car and am very happy with it. They are VERY reasonable on their prices and only do what is necessary. They are very professional and respectful. I highly recommend for the Seattle area. Great guys.

Ive used jays auto for over 15 years for repairs and maintenace on several vehicles. They are excellent, professional, honest, they care about there customers, AAA accredited no price gouging. Totaly trust worthy. they know what they are doing. There communications is superior. I moved 30 miles away and drive there anyway. They always go the extra mile to satisfy their customers.

Long time business is responsible and ethical. Jay has taken care of my fathers car for years. After a long conversation about an issue we had, Jay noted they were trying to provide a good service on a car that is not their specialty. I agreed that in the future when we need to fix this old Buick - we would find someone familiar with their certain je ne sais quoi :)

Jay’s continually go out of their way to check out my car, and have been amazingly honest when other mechanics seemed sketchy. I’ve recently come here with a car issue that another place said would costs thousands of dollars to fix, and Jay took a once over of the car and was accurately able to assess a plan that literally cost me nothing. Amazing staff; I will choose to bring my vehicles here over and over again, even when it’s not in my neighborhood.

We were very fortunate to have found this company after our neighbors window was broken around 8pm. The mechanic worked diligently to replace our car radiator, despite the late hours. And the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend this business!!!

I usually handle all the work related to my cars by myself. However, when I had an emergency last time due to leaking fuel, I towed the vehicle to them . Scott and Jay took care of my vehicle the next day. Their work quality is top-notch and cost is fair. A trustworthy mechanic shop and high recommended.

After checking out multiple auto repair shops between Kirkland and Bothell, I can say with 100% confidence that Jays Kirkland Autocare is the best. Before our appointment with Jays, my husband and I had not been receiving either helpful or even consistent repair solutions (not to mention very expensive) on a problem that we had with our Toyota Matrix. Jays went above and beyond our expectations with troubleshooting, even going so far as to make multiple phone calls and looking up detailed paperwork and diagrams on the specific issue we were having. The final repair cost was less than we were expecting, and we were even able to talk in person with the mechanic who worked on the car. We will be taking both of our vehicles there for service going forward. Thank you!

I had a few issues going on with my dodge caliber and when I called Jays he was attentive on the phone and explained the steps they would take.. They also took care of the water that was built up in my tail lights and suggested it would be no problem for them to drill small holes. They are straight forward and did a great job.. I would recommend this place for anyone..Dont hesitate to take ur car in!! They gave me right price quotes and didnt over charge at all!

I started bringing my cars to Jays when they were listed in AAA magazine as a top 10 shop in the state. I have no idea how they rank anymore, but their service has always been top notch and they are an honest and hard working shop.

Better prices than dealerships, they all shoot straight, very courteous and knowledgeable, were patient with all my questions. Definitely recommend their services.

Brought my Chevy Silverado here 3 times because of all the high star ratings, but I am very disappointed overall. 1: a rat chewed through my injector wiring- they fixed and was happy. 2: Rough idle - charged me $90 to tell me Its normal for a V-8 to have a rough idle. 3: Check engine light with 10+ codes. I brought in literature that I looked up which was pointing toward a bad throttle position sensor, but all they did was unplug and plug back in some wiring connections and said that was all they were capable of doing. After charging me $120 for them to treat my truck like an internet router, they suggested I take it to a GM dealer. Took it to Kirkland Buick GMC, and they took less than a day to diagnose and replace the throttle position sensor that they determined was bad. Jays Autocare was concerned it was computer problems in the transmission that would need replacing. If thats the kind of diagnosis I got, I wonder what unnecessary work theyre doing for others that are costing owners excess money? Take their recommendation- highly suggest Kirkland Buick GMC instead!
