I really felt in my heart that Kristy cared for us, and that she cares about her job. I will always be thankful for what she has done for us. Thank you again!

Apartment & amenities are perfect for me and my roommate. Only thing is our neighbors tend to have a lot of people over and consistently the odor of marijuana from their patio to ours is getting to be a bit much. Especially since the weather is getting warmer. We dont want our home to smell like marijuana, or be woken up at 2am by drunken antics.

Pros:LOVE the staff (theyre super prompt, kind, and helpful).Beautiful grounds. Lots of greenery and tree coverage. Unit stayed cool during summer (ground floor). Walking distance to grocery, Starbucks, Mediterranean Kitchen. Minutes to the freeway.Cons:The apartment unit we lived in needed to be renovated top to bottom, especially the windows (which dont keep moisture out). Had to work hard to keep the mold at bay. A few drug users that attracted frequent transient people leaving behind paraphernalia.

I moved from California last November and was hesitant about calling this place home, but it has been nothing but lovely. Management & maintenance are nice and respond quickly when my roommate and I need them. The apartment itself is spacious, clean, and I love that we have a washer & dryer inside. Neighbors are respectful and quiet, the price point is perfect, and you cant beat the location (close to freeway, shopping, restaurants, grocery store). The only con about the apartment are the single pane windows.. heat doesnt stay in and moisture doesnt stay out.. but no place is perfect and theres always a fix. Installing heavy weight curtains, using the fireplace, and turning on the heater fixes the cold and I just monitor the windows/moisture so mold doesnt grow. Overall, I love living here and am very happy!

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My bf and I rented from this horrible place for a year. Lets start with the apartment. It was small but overly priced and on the bottom floor but it was an updated unit. The grass and sidewalk constantly flooded against our walls making our apartment feel moist all the time. The windows are from when the building was originally built making it freezing all year round in our apartment and mold was a constant issue. During summer we battled ant infestations coming out of our piping in our bathrooms. When we asked management to do something about it they ignored us and said that was normal for this area. Management is very rude and condescending especially Kristy and Idania. We had multiple occasions where things inside our apartment would break like the washer and dryer and bathroom fan and they would let hired workers into our apartment unsupervised without permission. Even after we told them no one is to enter our space if we are not home. They would just hand over the keys. Glad nothing was stolen. When it came to finally move out of this hell hole, we packed our things, cleaned our apartment and then turned in keys. They do a move out walk through which I was home for and the maintenance guy said everything looked good, normal wear and tear for having two adults and two dogs live there for a year. Well guess what, four months later I receive a final notice bill from them for $800 saying we need to replace the carpet. After almost a week of trying to get a hold of someone at Emerson I finally got an email back from Idania. Rude as always. We are paying the amount to avoid the headache but I hope no one else moves to this awful place and gets treated with such disrespect.

Been living here for almost 2 years now, but ever since the property management changed, it is going down hill. Rent is not consistently posted at the first of the month, and there’s a chance you will incur a late fee as they don’t move the dates out as that is an error on their behalf. Also ventilation in the bathrooms is rough as they have an exhaust fan that doesn’t go to any outside vent.Another problem we had was rats around the dumpsters that took them around 3-4 months to get under control. Consistently we were seeing dead rats laying around the vehicles, and the stench was abrupt.

The #1 perk of this place is location. I like being able to walk to QFC and other nearby shops. The unit I rented definitely needs some work; mold was a constant issue, and appliances/flooring/counters were dated. Like other reviews mentioned it is a bummer that youre sometimes paying the same price as the units that are renovated.Overall, decent place to live. Management can be hit or miss, most of the time theyre easy to get a hold of, other times they seemed MIA.

Ive lived here for a little over two years and its definitely my favorite place Ive ever lived. My unit is renovated with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances. Its conveniently located to so many things and the rent is affordable. The pool, hot tub, fitness center, and sauna are great features to have in the clubhouse! We were in the process of trying to rent an apartment from this place. Found out its not up to par as far as health concerns go. Withdrew our application and now they will not refund the money they said they would. Would not recommend this place by any means. Staff is not helpful and also rude and unprofessionalSide note: understand its not because I dont agree with your policies, we were told directly that it would be refunded. Not just a portion but all of the deposit. If we had done a paper application then it would be easily refundable is what we were told. Even though I withdrew our application we were still charged. According to my bank your company withdrew funds the same day I withdrew my application. What a coincidence. I guess I need to seek negative reviews with all media and also report this company to the BBB. Thanks for trying to justify your policies though.

No major complains, but the refundable deposit is a scam and you wont get it back. It covers the cost to clean your apartment after you move out, including painting, carpets, and counters. Im glad those are services they preformed between renters, but thats not the point of a refundable deposit.I lived there for 1 year and my neighbors we good. These apartments are competitive with most complexes in the area. If you take into consideration that Seattle is the fastest growing city in America, and you know there is not enough space to build much more, you would be surprised at the rapid increase in price EVERYWHERE!I find the people who complain about the price are not very educated on their surroundings, nor have they lived in many other surroundings to rightfully compare. If you dont like the cost, simply dont rent here (you wont be satisfied anywhere in Seattle with that mentality). How can people complain about the cost when they fully understood and evaluated the rental agreement? If you expect Emerson to live up to their agreement, you ought to do the same and learn how to budget non emotionally. Are these the nicest apartments in town? No, they are not. Are they the worst? No, they are not. But for the competitive increase for apartment rentals, I think you will be satisfied with the atmosphere and service that Emerson has to offer.Any time Ive had an issue, the front desk has always requested maintenance service as quickly as possible (within 24 hours unless I suggested otherwise). If there was a minor non-life threatening mistake, the front desk has always listened to my concerns and helped me find a solution. They are a great team!Lets talk about the fleas. I challenge anyone to go to ANY vet in the Seattle area, and ask them about the flea issue. THERE ARE FLEAS EVERYWHERE. I personally go to the Juanita Kirkland Vet Clinic and they have informed me that we have had a flea problem for many years. Unfortunately, Seattle does not get cold enough to kill the fleas off. So if you have a pet, please educate yourself a little further before leaving an uneducated review. As a pet owner, I feel it is my responsibility to keep flea medication on my pet and keep things clean in my home. To my benefit, Emerson Apartments even offered to have my place fumigated at their expense. WOW!The maintenance guys have been very helpful and have always been friendly around the complex. There are times where the parking gets full depending on which building you live in, but Id hate to complain about an extra 30 second walk to my door.Although I am not extending my stay at Emerson this next year, I feel Emerson has lived up to their agreement and has not misled me in anyway. After reading some of the other reviews, I realized that most people only leave reviews if theyre upset. As a happy renter, I felt it my responsibility to be straight forward on my experience and opinions. Hope this helps anyone looking to rent here.-Emilee

But they HAVE indeed improved since then. If it wasnt obvious enough, this place has had a bumpy ride the past two decades!(Previous Review, 06-15-2019) = My original review for this place was a positive one, but recent changes have altered that conclusion. Today in particular, an office worker was forced to work while physically and violently ill. Enough so that I DIDNT want to hang around the kabanna office as usual. Ill re-assess if the stuffy attitude of corporate management improves. But today crossed the line into un-ethical.

Ive rented in the Puget Sound region for around six years now, and to my great surprise, this is the first complex Im going to miss when I leave. I would say the units are fairly average in terms of finishings, appliances, etc but well-maintained for the area - but these arent why I like this complex. Ive been a tenant here for the last 11 months, and have been consistently impressed by both the office staff and maintenance teams. Ive interacted with management on an almost weekly basis for my entire stay here, whether for package pickup, maintenance followup, documentation for my cat, etc and have always been met with courtesy and professionalism. If youve been renting in the area for long enough, you know that can be hard to come by.Some more specific details, in no particular order:Pros:- Office hours are fantastic. Ive never been in a complex with an office with this kind of availability, and it makes life a lot easier.- Maintenance is FAST. We submitted around eight tickets over the course of our tenancy, and almost all of them were resolved same-day.- Online rent pay, resident forum, package handling, etc are all pretty seamless. Never had the tech issues here that Ive grown accustomed to at other complexes.- Location is great. QFC and a bunch of restaurants in walking distance. I recommend Pho Mignon.- Landscaping is well done. This place really looks good in the sprint/summer.- Fitness center is small, but always kept clean and the machines work well.Cons:- Parking is an issue Fri/Sat/Sun in the evenings. Reserved spots can help with this, but I never felt the need to get one.- Bathroom ventilation is pretty average, and the bathrooms in my unit didnt have windows. So, usual dance of keeping doors and windows open as well as running the fan most of the day if you like really hot showers. Mold can be very effectively prevented in these bathrooms if you have some basic knowledge about it and arent lazy.- Units suffer from a lack of indoor storage, no coat or linen closets.- If your commute takes you to I-405 during rush hour, the left turn out of the parking lot can be pretty nasty. Then again, I work from home, so this was not really an issue for me.Overall, for the price point, I have been quite happy with this complex. Its a little older and has some quirks, but the front office makes up for it twice over. The negative reviews here saying otherwise are quite inconsistent with my experience. Ultimately with how area prices are at the end of our lease term and with our specific situation, it makes sense to move - but Im going to miss this place.

Unventilated, undersized, overpriced, moldy old boxes that you pay an arm and a leg for. If you live here just expect mold, with the cheap-ass metal window frames they use you will never be without it - and thats direct from the guy who installed our replacement window. The grounds are a swamp when it rains and for days after, because the drainage is so bad - pools of water against building walls all over the place. The walls are made of paper and the floors have loose boards all over, so unless you have a top-floor apartment anyone living above you sounds like an elephant. Office staff are just mouthpieces for the corporate line and have to be harassed to do anything for you. I will say that the Maintenance Crew are top notch, pleasant, and just about the ONLY good thing about this place. Avoid.

Pros:- Theres a (clean!) hot tub and a sauna. We basically live in Canada. Every complex needs these.- The pool and gym are a nice touch, too.- Impressively soundproofed units. The complex is full of dogs, kids, and other loud creatures, but my unit is as serene as a zen garden.- Maintenance is responsive and easy to work with. Thanks, Dave!- Plentiful free parking with luxuriously wide spaces.- Friendly, low-key neighbors.- Extremely dog friendly and minutes from Jasper off-leash dog park. Bork bork.- Nice landscaping and lots of trees and grass (again, dog friendly!).- North end looks out over a nature reserve (with bunnies!).- Walkable safe neighborhood.- The yellow VW bug with the DIY Pikachu mod. Makes me laugh every time.Cons:- No sidewalks leading out of the complex. Not the end of the world, but kind of a weird oversight.- Complex abuts loud, busy street.- Multiple people have warned me about recent car prowlings, so... exercise some common sense, roll up your windows, lock your doors, and dont leave valuables in your car.

Ive been living here for more than 1 year, and Im very satisfied with this experience.- PROS1) The apt (2b/2b) has a really great size for 2 people and 1 small dog. Specially bc mine has an outside storage at the balcony, which believe me, it makes a huge difference bc the kitchen cabinets are not enough for Costco products XD2) Very pet friendly3) Having a pool, hot tub, sauna, computers with internet acess and a printer, a (micro) gym, a party space with sofas, tables and babercue grill is amazing4) The staff are incredibly kind, nice, helpful, professional and they really care about the residents5) They are very quickly with the required maintenance l, and the maintenance team is awesome as well6) The location is perfect: you have 405 exit very close, so you avoid the traffic of juanita. And you have a bunch of supermarkets and restaurants very close7) Visitors can park anywhere since its not a reserved spot8) The price is on avarage for the location9) Very quiet10) Beautiful and well maintained landscaping11) The leasing office opens every single day- CONS1) They could renovate the appliances for modern ones as I saw they did for few apartments (brand new duplex fridge, dishwasher and laundry machines, microwave, and oven). Id love if they do this on mine, Id probably keep here longer LOL2) The gym is very small, but well mantained. Id just suggest that we could reserve time for the treadmills, bc they just have 2, and its very frustrating when you go there to run and its busy3) The parking is not good managed bc at night after 9pm, usually its very hard to find a spot, and when you do, usually its far from your apartment, what sucks. You can pay for aa reserved parking, but on my opinion each apartment would have its own spot reserved without having to pay extra for that4) The left turn to exit the condominium is crazy busy with traffic. They could check with the local government (or the responsible for that) to ttatransf the middle line in one that we could wait there to cross the street faster5) Its a free cigarettes community but unfortunately some people dont obey that6) No air conditioner in the apartments....on summer this is a huge problemAfter all these my note is 5 stars bc of the staff and their helpfulness and agility. And the second also bc of location, apartment size and the beautiful landscaping. I know there is no perfect place to live, the cons are just to help you to figure out if any of my experience would be a big problem for you, if thatll mad you. If not, Id highly recommend for anyone to live here. Welcome for our neighborhood.

I have never been so dissatisfied! Having lived in pretty run down college home for 3 years while at college, I thought anything would be nicer. They charge you way too much for the garbage of an apartment you get. While it has been repainted, and the kitchen may have some nicer looking appliances, it is old and poorly remodeled. The old cabinets, are just painted white to appear newer.Since the day I moved in I have had problems, ants coming out of my shower, fleas, and mold. My poor indoor kitty (who never goes outside) got fleas 3 times!! And I had to pay a gnarly fee to have my cat there, they say it is because they have a professional clean the carpets- Im calling BS! Speaking of pets, they charge $500 to have a pet (cat or dog) and a $25 pet rent. So outrageous. The people that live above me are the rudest, loudest and most inconsiderate neighbors I have ever had- which says a lot since I lived on a party street in college. They have a large dog upstairs- a husky- that they like to leave in a crate. It barks and shakes the crate the whole entire time they are gone. The management does not listen to us. We are kept up all nights, woken up and have to turn our TV on blast just to not hear the dog barking. The management does not care about you. They say they will fix it and nothing gets done. Also, this so called no smoking property has smokers everywhere. And once again, management does nothing.I have disgusting amounts of mold throughout the apartment, and once again management does nothing.I am not happy, I pay way too much to be treated like this and to live in filth. If you have ANY other choice DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!
