I highly recommend this charter! The boys went above and beyond my expectations. They made my dream come true putting us on a monster mahi-mahi! The customer service is what made the charter special, super friendly and entertaining guys!

Dan and Matt were awesome! Very laid back, knowledgeable and undeniably good at what they do. I will also add that they have a working A/C in the cabin that was a total life saver for me because it gets HOT out there. Would recommend them to anyone looking to fish in the Key Largo area.

Captain Dan and Matt were incredible. The best fishing trip we have ever had. Caught dozens of fish and didn’t have to go very far. The boat was large and we each had our own space to fish as well as an indoor cabin area to put our things. Matt did all the work and all we did was wait and reel them in. Dan and Matt were so knowledgeable. Matt taught the kids everything from casting to how to reel it in. Wish we could do it again tomorrow.

If you are in Key Largo or anywhere in the Keys - you have to come fish with these guys. Captain Dan and first mate Matt were easily the most fun, knowledgeable, hardworking and easy going guys Ive ever fished with. They got us on fish even in very windy conditions and had a blast doing so. We got on tuna, mahi, giant amberjacks and TONS of bottom fish. When we got back to the docks Captain Dan broke out his sushi kit loaded up with sushi knives, chopsticks, soy sauce and wasabi - the whole 9 yards! We had the best tuna sashimi ever - the guys then expertly cleaned all the other fish and packaged them up for us for fish tacos later that night. Captains first comment .. Fishing has been awful for the last year, we really haven’t caught anything.. to which we say Oh but today will be a good day, his reply? I’m a realist not an optimist. That would have been nice to know at the time we booked as opposed to when we are heading out on the water! First mate was great. Captain had hardly a word to say the entire trip. Would not recommend!!NOTE: This Captain contacted us and 100% owned up to his actions. We were both surprised and pleased by his effort to make us feel valued and understood. I have every reason to believe this was just an off day for him and he will go back to great customer service on future trips. So refreshing to see people own up and make things right. This was our first time going on a fishing charter and did not know what to expect. Captain Dan and Matt quickly put us to ease with their knowledge. Our two teen boys both caught amazing fish. One fish got eaten by a shark and our son was able to pull in the head, which weighed over 20 lbs, to get a picture. They cut and cleaned the fish we caught for us to cook. We are very thankful for them and will definitely go again!!!

We had a wonderful experience. We booked this Charter for our annual family reunion fishing charter. This was our first year fishing the keys. The deckhand John was phenomenal . He was a good sport when it came to our jokes and so attentive when we had fish on. Half of our party got sea sick because we are used to the calmer gulf waters but he even grabbed a pillow to try an help. Our captain for the day was Mike and you could tell he was passionate, I really enjoyed how informative he was at every step. They even cut up the carcasses after fileting them so my husband could go shark fishing that night. He ended up catching his all around PR fish .. any time our charter is in the keys we will definitely be going back out with the Miss Cheif. Thank you again guys!

We used Miss Chief charters and had a great time! The captain and first mate were knowledgeable and put us on some fish! Although the fishing was slow we were able to catch some good ones! The air conditioned cabin was a great relief when the day got very hot.

Went on the fishing charter while on vacation with family in Key Largo. Had the most/best reviews. Caught a mess of fish. Capt & 1st mate were top notch and very personable. Would do it again! He put us on the fish that were biting at that time of year and has a lot of experience. We heard the radio traffic for other charters and hardly anybody was catching fish that day, but he used a variety of techniques to pull in a nice haul when it was all said and done.

I am a bass fishing fanatic from Michigan and love experiencing the salt water side. I have chartered many boats all over the world and I cannot brag enough about Miss Chief!!!!!!!!! If you are in the upper Keys I cannot recommend them enough!!!!!!!!! Make sure to call far in advance as they are extremely popular and book up fast. Best of the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Roughest small boat trip Ive ever taken (6-8) but Dan and Cory made it tolerable. Tough combination being sociable and professional. They followed the frigate birds and we caught mahi and blackfin tuna. Highly recommend.

Chartered a full day with two of my buddies and we couldn’t be happier. Captain and mate were extremely professional and very chill. They worked their butts off to catch us fish Run-n-gun dolphin fishing with the mate constantly looking through the binoculars for birds, weed lines, debris...anything. Expert captain knowing to go with the conditions, took us to a deeper wreck that produced big fish on a variety of rigs. Dolphin fishing slowed and he was fully prepared to try the reef which produced a 8 beautiful flag yellowtail to conclude the trip. Miss Chief herself is a beautiful Bertram that is very comfortable and well kept. These guys are pros, I’m booking soon for sailfish season. Two thumbs up!

ABSOLUTE BLAST!!!The crew was so much fun and knew how to fish which is the best part .We caught 15 fish before 10 and 25 by the end of the day. I would recommend them 10/10 times. Beautiful boat with the best gear and new high tech stuff. Money well spent. Cant wait to get out with them again!

WOW! Everything about this charter was beyond exceptional! Im a Floridian, and Ive experienced everything from good to bad charters, and without any hesitation, I can say these guys set the standard for excellence! I brought my son & friend (newbies) to get the experience, and we werent disappointed. Captains Dan and Eds stellar experience was obvious, and they both catered to us exactly the way its supposed to be done! And the cost? Our full day was less expensive than every other charter I called and the only one with an ACd cabin. And as a killer bonus, their custom Bertram has got to be the fastest, ocean-worthy boat in the area with a well-stocked air conditioned cabin! We got to our spots QUICKLY, and didnt waste ANY time sputtering between spots. We had an amazing time, caught exactly what we wanted, and got the pleasure of meeting two of the coolest people in the business. It really doesnt get any better, seriously!! Well be back!!

Our group of three went out 3 times over three days with Capt. Dan and 1st mate Cory. We went off shore 2 of the 3 days. In those 2 trips we caught over 40 fish. Our third trip was a night fish that was cut short due to inclement weather. Our entire party felt that Dan and Cory knew there stuff and were intent on helping us catch as many fish as possible. We were fortunate that the fish were biting, but if they had not been, based on experience it wouldnt have been for a lack of trying on Dan and Corys part. Its called fishing, not catching.Also of note, Capt. Dan recently acquired a new boat. This was definitely another positive aspect of our trip. The boat has an air conditioned cabin, seating, a sink, bathroom, and a refrigerator. It was great being able to sit down in the A/C for a few minutes to rest.Overall, our experience was a great one. I would highly recommend Miss Chief Charters.

I would recommend this charter to everyone I know. I already have. We took 5 guys out and had an amazing time. We where able to pull in a 31.8 pound black fin tuna and a huge cooler full of fish to go with it. The boat was very nice and their fishing advice was on point. Already looking to book another trip on the Miss Chief.

Captain Dan is so knowledgeable about where to fish in this area! His first mate Cory was incredible as far as service! Been deep sea fishing 12 or so times all over the world with other charters and these guys far beat all the others in service and trying to catch fish! Highly recommended!!!

My family and I did a 3/4 day reef fishing charter on 1/25/2017 with Capt. Dan and First Mate Cory. We had a great experience! They were very friendly, courteous, helpful, and did everything they could to provide us a memorable experience, including catching plenty of fish for a nice dinner that night. Our two children, 10 and 14 had a great time. I wholeheartedly recommend this charter and would definitely come back again.

I came down with my family, and wanted them to have the experience of deep sea fishing. Captain Dan and Cory were the best. They were very kind, and professional, We parted the docks on time, spent the entire day fishing and my family had a blast.We ended up catching over thirty fish, very surprised by that being I have done this many times before, and never netted results like that. We couldnt have asked for better weather conditions or a better crew. If I could give them ten stats I would. If you are planning a trip to Key Largo, and want to do some fishing, Miss Chief is youre only choice if you want to have a great experience. Captain Dan and Cody took great care of our family today. They were persistent in their efforts to get us on some keepers! Very friendly crew and work well together. We returned to the dock with more filets than we could handle. A great day on the water!

Everyone in our group had an absolute blast! Captain Dan and Cory are the best at what they do. They had everyone in our group reeling in fish from my 8 year old niece to my 81 year old grandma. I couldnt recommend them enough, great guys and super professional!

Captain Dan and Corey are awesome! They are extemely knowledgeable, entertaining and have a wonderful attitude! The boat is great and offers cover and shelter from weather when you need it yet ample fishing space. We took our two sons who are 10 and 12 wreck fishing and we caught too many fish to count! Dan and Corey were very patient and taught us a lot of fishing skills. What a fantastic fun day! We will will defintely be back on the Miss Chief soon!

Worst fishing trip of my life. I grew up on the Gulf Coast in Mississippi and have gone fishing several times in my life. We asked the captain to put us on some snapper and other fish as there were 6 of us and we just wanted to catch fish. Instead he takes us on a 2 hour trip to put one line in the water to try to catch a swordfish. OK a swordfish would be cool but not when there are 6 people on the boat. We dont want to watch a guy reel in a fish for 2 hours while the rest of us inhale exhaust the whole time. As you guessed no swordfish. Instead we troll back to the dock. We caught one dolphin in a 10 hour trip. It would be one thing if the fish werent biting but its completely different when the captain blatantly disregards your request and does what he wants. $1200 down the drain.

Cap’n dan was top notch. We had a blast and caught a great amount of fish! Lots of variety, went straight to a restaurant and had them cook it up. Booking again for next year. Highly recommended!

Had the most amazing day with Capt Dan and James today. They took the 5 of us out for a non stop action packed adventure and we came home with roughly 50lbs of Mahi!!!!!

Went down fishing on 5/2/19. These guys were awesome. We caught a ton of Yellowtail, an amberjack, triggerfish. They were super helpful. Both the captain and deckhand were awesome laid-back guys. They set everything up, clean the fish, and made sure too well instruct and help everyone out. Everyone in our party had an awesome time. I have been on other fishing trips and have yet to found hey better group to be out fishing with. I would definitely recommend them and would go back in a heartbeat. We had a great time on a half day trip with Capt Dan and Cory. We caught mahi mahi, tuna, and a sailfish! Kite fishing was amazing. Some of us fished, some of us enjoyed the ride. Dan and Cory were super knowledgeable and taught us a lot. Highly recommend.
