I moved here in September and am loving it so far! The apartments are very nice and spacious. The staff is amazing. Any issues that I have had, have been taken care of quickly. There are so many amenities including a dog wash station, dog park, walking trails, and gym. I would highly recommend!

We had an excellent 2.5 years in the apartment. Paid on time, everytime. We set a move out date, gave the required 2 months notice all was fine. Paid the final amount, all was fine, after they corrected the miscalculation where they were going to over charge us by over a $1000. They said they would send us the closeout in a few days. It did not come. After 2 weeks I emailed the office, no response. After a month, received the notice in the mail showing we owed a small amount. No problem, planned to swing by the office the next day. Then received a notice from a collection agency about our delinquent account. This is unright and unethical. The envelope was stamped with the date on it showing they didnt send the notice until 3 days ago and USPS informed delivery is time stamped showing it was delivered today. Completely unacceptable to put a letter in the mail Friday and call a collection agency Monday. This completely ruined 2.5 great years we spent there. We never missed any payments and were not late. We will be challenging this.

Great Property and an excellent management and maintenance team. The community recently had a troublesome tenant who disturbed our quiet peaceful community and Megan handled the situation efficiently, professionally and with great speed. It has been a pleasure living here and I recommend this community to people looking for a quiet, peaceful and safe environment.

I have lived here 4 years and do not plan on moving. The staff is fantastic they will go above and beyond to help you with any problem. I love to stop in the club house and check on the girls. I want to leave my sincere thanks and complements to Robert. I will start by saying that I rarely, rarely write reviews. I have only written when either something is terribly wrong or when something is incredibly great. Robert has been incredibly great for the past 2 1/2 years I have lived here. I have been renting luxury apartments for the past 20 years. Robert is hands down, the best maintenance service supervisor I have ever encountered. Period. I am so disappointed! When I first moved in last July, I was excited and loved the view out of my bedroom window, that overlooked the pool and gorgeous lights that reflect shine in the water.Then reality sunk in! The bathtub pipes were caked with a black substance that flakes off in the shower and faucet when running the water..I will never drink the water here, ever! Then there’s the carpet that appeared clean for the first week or two but then the stains and nasty carpet never seemed to get clean ( even with two vacuums going ).The icing on the cake is when the domestic verbal abuse started above me and to no avail, the cops have come and gone three times and the guy remains allowed to stay?! Why should I suffer and he remain 🤷‍♀️?! There’s also smoke coming in continuously from upstairs and the prior assistant manager told me to buy a 400.00 air purifier?!?! I have mold and smoke intolerance and I specifically asked if they allow people to smoke, and my dad and I were told no, but that’s not the case! Whoever it is above me continues to smoke and I’m sick enough as it is!I definitely don’t feel safe here and Worry if I come in late that the loud verbal abusive guy is lurking. I have not felt this unsafe before, and the apartments are not worth the money. I can’t get out soon enough! Oh, the three stars are for maintenance...they are great!Now Sam the manager states that she addressed these issues with me, yet the bottom line is, is that I was always told I’d get a call back and even promised they would move me, but each time I called back I was told the girl who I spoke with ever communicated with the manager. The staff turnover was blamed for my issues not being resolved. I would recommend reading every review since they’re posting the best reviews up front!

I have enjoyed living here. Everyone is very nice and helpful they keep the apt complex neat and clean, and when you are having problems with anything they are prompt in getting it taken care of. So at this time I have no complaints and would recommend others to live here.

I have lived here for a year and a half and can only say good things about the place and all the staff. Any problems are addressed within 24 hrs. or less. The maintenance staff are pleasant and always on top of things. The leasing staff are very friendly and accommodating! They go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable. Just so you know, I have not been offered any incentive to write this review. I am just that impressed with everyone and everything.

We have been at Hawthorne at the Meadows for over two years now. The manager Samantha and the assistant manager Sarah have always been very helpful and polite at every instance. If we “Ever” had an issue, they immediately put in a work order and start to get the issue resolved.There are great amenities like a walking track, putting green, flat screen TVs at the amazing pool.The team at Hawthorne has gone over and above our expectations here. This is why we just signed on for another year.You won’t regret it!!

For the most part I would recommend the Hawthorne. Maintenance is amazing here! However the parking is a nightmare. Not enough parking to allow for the number of units and they allow two cars per unit. You will walk a country mile to find a parking space at times.

WOW!!! My apartment is beautiful. The maintenance staff did an excellent job. The office staff is very helpful and always friendly. The location is great. And the property is gorgeous. I want to send a special thanks to Tommy and Calvin they are very helpful and always wave and say hi when passing by. They also speak highly about the company they work for and seem to enjoy their job. And thank you Patty and Sam for making the move easy and exciting. You guys are GREAT...

First off, I was not offered any incentive to write this post. I felt it important for Handicap persons.I absolutely love it here. Staff is awesome and laid back. It’s almost like your talking to a friend instead of an employee.I moved in almost 2 years ago, went through a lot of medical complications in the past year and ended up with my right leg being amputated in December 2018. I’m now wheelchair bound. They have the best Handicap ramps. I have 2 dogs and don’t have any problems walking them. They have sufficient Handicap parking and Handicap ramps everywhere. They will even help you make your apartment Handicap safer. My apartment is not a Handicap apartment but I can still get around with no problems. Other apartments I lived in didn’t have as much Handicap access. So if you have a Disability, need a wheelchair, walker or canes, THIS is the place to live! Hawthorne at the Meadows is very Handicap friendly. The staff will even check in on you from time to time. You will never find a friendlier place than here.

We had a small maintenance issue that was handled by Robert within 10 minutes of being reported. Robert is always there for the residents. He performs all maintenance quickly and correctly. Robert is an asset to the Hawthorne team and treats residents like family!

I appreciate my spacious, clean, quiet, and safe apartment here at Hawthorne. The apartment office staff is the best and it shows! Angie, Sarah, and Patty.The grounds are always clean and trimmed. The resort quality Clubhouse, two outdoor gas grills, big flat screen TV, and pool are always well maintained for the residents.Anytime I have requested service it has always been done quickly and right the first time by Stan or Oscar.Keep up the great service.Thanks,Kurt

We have lived here for almost 3 years now. The apartments and the landscape are very well kept up. Anytime we have had an issue all of the staff have been professional, nice, and quick to take care of things. Thanks in particular to Sam in the office and Robert and Alan in Maintenance for all they do.

I have lived in a house all of my life until my husband passed away 2 years ago and then it was time for me to make some changes. I was living in NJ and decided to move back to NC where my children and grandchildren reside. My daughter found Hawthorne at the Meadows and Ive been here now for almost two years. Just signed on for another year and I enjoy it here! Im 66 and have made friends with some ladies around my age. I love our manager Sam shes a great manager and a great person! Plus I dont have yardwork to do anymore lol.

I have lived at this apartment complex for the past 3 years. I cannot say enough good things about the complex and the staff! My one bedroom is spacious and affordable. The grounds are well kept. Since management instituted resident parking passes over the summer parking congestion around the buildings has eased. The addition of a recycling container was a big plus for me.

The property is in a great location, very quiet, and easy access to everything! The office staff is so accommodating and quick to help! I love this place!

Ive been living at the Meadows for 4 months now and the only issue Ive really had is with parking. I have two young children I tote across and down the parking lot because there is not enough parking in front of my building. Everything else has been wonderful; staff is very friendly and professional, the apartments have been kept in great shape, theyre quick to respond when things go wrong, the neighbors are friendly, and its quiet. Love it!

I lived here for a year and everything was great, staff was good and facilities were good. I moved out in July and paid everything but somehow they lost the record that i made the last payment to them and without calling me to ask me for proof sent it to collections which i had to call my bank for the proof and send it to the collections agency and for a few hundred bucks. They could have easily called me and instead sent it to collections for something that they misplaced. Not organized in the details. I dont normally write reviews but this was something paid well before moving out and they lost my payment info which the bank shows proof Hawthorne deposited!

We moved to NC from NJ last year. We checked out 10 different Apt Complexes within a 20 mile radius of where Id be working. After meeting the staff & taking the tour here it was no contest, we looked at each other & knew this is where we wanted to call home. The girls at the office are fantastic, always pleasant, always helpful. Angie, Sarah & Patty are the kind of people I would want running my Apt Complex if I owned one. The maintenance guys, Stan & Oscar, are awesome, always going above & beyond to ensure any problem we may have is rectified quickly & to our satisfaction. My wife & I highly recommend Hawthorne at the Meadows as a place to call home.

I do not recommend this apartment complex. The staff has declined since change of management in 2018. They do not care about their residents at all especially if you have a complaint about something. I know a few of the other residents and everyone that I talked to is very unhappy here. They will charge you an arm and a leg if you try to break the lease. I am glad we never renewed our lease and are much happier that we are now gone.

Hawthorne at the Meadows is by far the best apartment community that I have ever had the pleasure to reside. The staff is amazing and very efficient. I never have trouble with parking, and love my neighbors. This community was at the top of my list when I was apartment hunting, and I always recommend them to my friends. To me, this place truly feels like home.

The staff at Hawthorne at the Meadows made all the difference for us. Sarah was attentive to our situation & made sure we had everything we needed. The only drawback for our family was being on the 2nd floor - definitely go 3rd floor if at all possible to avoid hearing your neighbor above - but thats just part of APT life. The amenities are great: cute little dog park, nice gym area & most of all - fantastic pool. Area is safe, convenient & again, staff is stellar.

Units are great, staff is below par. Since change of management mid-2018 quality of service has declined. Staff makes up accusations without proof and is chummy with certain residents. Move out fees are ridiculous, charged 80 to re mount small shelf and blind in bedroom. Would not reccomend!

My family and I love it here! It is a great location to live in, everything is beautifully maintained and the staff here is excellant. The staff here plans special dinners and celebrations for the tenants. The grounds are great and we have all the amenities you can imagine. This is by far the best managed place we have ever lived in!

Great apartments in Kernersville, actually the best ones in the area. They are very new, nice layout options and amenities to keep you there for a while. They have a great pool and barbecue area, dog park, car wash and vacuum station and business center to take care of things. The rent can be somewhat high but maintenance takes good care of you and they listen to resident requests. They do need a recycling center, however.

Not one for writing reviews but this one deserves it. Woke up on the fourth of July to no A/C, outside temperatures were going to be in the upper 90s. I figured with it being a holiday we would have to wait a day to even report it. After calling the emergency number and leaving a message Robert called back within 30 seconds. He confirmed he was on another call and would get to us as soon as possible. He was able to identify the problem and fix it within a few hours. Robert is very knowledgeable, professional, and was efficient in solving the problem, not to mention that it was a holiday and unbearably hot outside. Thank you Robert for all you do to make Hawthorne at the Meadows great place to live.

Great place to live in Kernersville. Staff is super friendly and willing to help out anyway they can. The amenities are second to none at The Meadows. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for an apartment community in the triad.

Beautiful homes ! The garden tub, the closet space, the double vanity, the amenities, WOW! WOW! WOW! Now this is an APARTMENT HOME ! & the leasing agent ..she was very sweet and professional .

I love living here and the staff are so friendly. Only concern is the landscaping. It is some of the worse Ive seen. I wish i could rate them.

On the 4th of July Robert from maintenance came to fix my laundry room doors which had broke and Robert did a fantastic job plus he took the time to hang a curtain rod for me, I can not say enough about the service and treatment the staff give you here.I felt like I was home the minute I walked in! The staff is fantastic and they go out their way to help you. I can not recommend this place enough. Anyone who moves in here will love it just as much as I do! They have been so fantastic . My little service dog was injured recently and every day someone from the staff has inquired about her. They care about her as much as I do. If you want to liver at a lace that feels like home and the staff treats you like family then you need to move here!

We have been here since Feb 2016 and wish we would have never picked this place. The management is the worst. The communication is horrid. The utilities company changed and we found out July 22nd, when it changed back in June! Then it went from 25-30/month to 50 a month. Want to know why? Because they changed the rate .3584 to .5210(water & sewer), .7190 to .9610(Sewer), and added a 5.00 admin fee. Now a California based company instead of an NC based company. The only good thing about his place is they are very pet friendly. Except the people that own them NEVER pick up their pups poop so the poop is always laying around! Pick somewhere else!

Hawthorne has been such a home-y place to live!!! Everyone is so nice and the staff go above and beyond to make sure my daughter and I are comfortable.

This apartment complex WAS a great place to live until they started TOWING the cars of residents. They allotted one parking pass and designated visitor parking on the other side of the complex. My 2nd car was towed in the middle of the night and I had to pay $190 for them to unhook it. It didnt even leave the complex parking lot. I got home at 11:00pm from work and parked my second vehicle at my building because of safety concerns. And they towed my car. This happened at 4:45 am on Sunday!I think it is ridiculous that parking decals are not allotted to each resident for their registered vehicles. Most people have more than one vehicle. As long as your vehicle is in working condition with valid tags you should be able to park at your building. What about overnight visitors? Do your overnight guests need to park across the parking lot and walk to your house? Youre basically telling your residents that you can have visitors but they cant park at your house. There is no assigned parking. And ample parking spaces throughout the complex (as I passed 13 empty parking spaces walking back from the visitor parking). Who wants to visit you in fear that their car will be towed? They dont even give you a warning notice on your car. They just hook it up and take it. People will have visitors, multiple vehicles, and guests that stay overnight, because that is typical living.If youre going to designate guest parking then you need to have it accessible to everyones buildings. Not clean across the parking complex. There should at least be some type of restrictions in place that cars without decals cannot be parked at buildings longer than 24 hours. You should also allow a warning sticker to be placed on cars because you dont know anybodys personal situation or whats going on. There are no parameters in place. I dont think this process was well-thought-out or accommodating to your residence. What type of apartment complex has tow trucks riding around the parking lot in the middle of the night towing cars? There were multiple trucks out hooking up cars. Terrible. I feel really bad for the people who woke up to their cars gone. Sounds like a money racket scheme. How does the complex benefit from treating residents this way? Kickbacks? This isnt a downtown area with limited public/private parking. This is a rural apartment community.This is truly a shame because most all apartment complexes make sure theyre residents feel comfortable and at home.

Let me start by saying that I do not live here anymore and am not being paid for this nor have I even spoken to anybody there in 2 months when I moved.That being said...I give a 4 star rating because 5 would be Utopia... which I dont think exists. The only issue I ever had at The Meadows was (sometimes) not being able to park right in front of my building. Outside of that... I wish I could go back in time and forget I ever moved away. Cant say enough about the quality of life at The Meadows! Im a big guy and I feel very capable of protecting myself, but there is an easy feeling when walking around the complex at night or even in the very early morning hours due to how well lit it is. There are lots of great people and youre close enough to shopping and restaurants without being too close. Believe me when I say, you might think its nice to live right next to stores and be able to walk across the street to shop or eat (which I now am able to), but that brings unwanted visitors into your living space. That means lawbreakers, vandals, and drunks wandering into where you live. Hawthorne at the Meadows is out of sight... out of mind where you wont have to worry about these issues, yet still close enough to everything that you can be in town and sitting in your favorite eatery or shop within just a few minutes.Oh, and the dog poop issue Ive read in some other reviews is true. There are people that dont pick up there animals waste, but it was never a huge issue... just a nuisance to know that there were a few people that didnt respect others right to a clean yard. But!! ...show me an apartment complex that isnt experiencing that issue. Or a house in a neighborhood for that matter. I lived in an upscale and highly sought neighborhood in Kernersville (Abington) and people walk their dogs and let them poop wherever without picking it up. So dont let that discourage you from choosing Hawthorne.
