I do NOT recommend this place for anybody, over priced, takes to long to get your car back. These people are a bunch of Frauds and starting with Wade the owner who is rude and doesn’t care about his customers. Than you have Lewis and Austin who are not overly prepped for this job. How I wish I can give this place a 0 star. Wayne lied to me and promised to call me same day when I dropped my car at 8am after 48 hours he didn’t. I paid them $269.20 and they never fix my car the check engine light came right on after I drove my car. Went back this guy asked me to drop my car which I did and he promised to get it in and never did. When I passed by I noticed all my windows were rolled down key in the ignition I went in the car took the key out this guys never saw me, then I walked in and asked for my car they started looking for the keys and couldn’t find them then when I told them these means someone could’ve come here to ransack my car Wayne lied again insisting he saw me. I was like then how come you didn’t know who took the keys. Please avoid this place by all means. I’m considering taking this to small claim court. My car wasn’t fixed and they refused to refund me a dime. AVOID AVOID AVOID. SCAMMERS!

Muffler man was suppose to fix my sons water pump they kept his car for 5 days and didnt tell him when it would be done my son finally called on the 4th day to ask when it would be done and they told him it would be ready the next day then they called the next day and told my son they couldnt fix his water pump because they didnt have the tools for it how does an auto shop not have the tools to repair a water pump they kept my sons car that whole time just to tell him they couldnt fix it he could have taken it somewhere else and had the job done but muffler man wasted his time just to tell him 5 days later that they couldnt do the job that is ridiculous and so unprofessional and I am warning others.

Wade and the team did a great job with my Lexus RX400H. My car sounds great (I had an inline leak and bad muffler). The cost was 1/3 that of the Lexus dealer! Very pleased and will be back.

I drove from Newaygo yesterday into the Grand Rapids and Kentwood area. All the way into town I heard a terrible noise with my car. I was scared to drive back to the Newaygo area without stopping and having my car checked out. The fella at this Muffler Man was very kind to me, as I felt a great deal of anxiety. He agreed to take a look at my car, even though they looked very busy. Problem was solved quickly as they found a tree limb jammed in an area I would never have seen it. The fella had a nice sense of humor and immediately I was able to relax. I highly recommend this business!! Absolutely a Five Star rating from me!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

We love Muffler Man. If they do what you need done, youll get a great price and excellent service. I like that they will repair or patch things that others insist need to be replaced, which can result in gigantic savings. What was $2200 to be taken care of at one place was $600 at Muffler Man, and the repair has held up for years. We had a similar experience with another car, and so have several of our friends and family members. The shop is lacking in ambiance, but if that keeps prices low, I dont really care.

They had my boyfriends car for a month and they were supposed to send it to the dealership for airbags . They never did and they said they did and then they called him the n word today I am at a loss for words. Disgusting .

They got it done and didnt charge an arm and a leg, instead I got a phone call with a price I was very happy to pay and a team that got me in and out. They had an appreciation for my nice vehicle, and made the experience that much better. Driving happy, I will return with any problem they can solve and I recommend that for you.

I have a 91 Silverado 1500. It’s in great shape with low miles. A few years ago, I got a hole in the muffler from rust and age. I didn’t fix it because I liked the growl. Well lately the pipes have come unattached and we’re going into the wheels and dragging on the ground and what not. So it was time to replace them.These guys replaced all my pipes from the block back. The welds look good. Everything is stable. And since I told them that I like the growl, they kept that for me, and made it sound amazing.Thanks, guys!

Worst experience every, they say no appointments I called a week in advance, they say first come first serve then when I get there at 8 am they say sorry can’t help you. Worst service ever stay away

They did a wonderful job, I have a 2009 Jeep compass. I brought my jeep in for them to replace my wheel bearing they did so. They were very informative with everything that they did. Unfortunately, I had some issues with my transmission but they refereed me to a place that works with transmissions. Just very helpful. Id love to Thank Will for just being honest and so helpful. 10 out of 10 would recommend.

I came in for a short notice dropped muffler problem. They were able to fit me in quickly and fix my problem, at a way lower price than expected, and get me back on the road all within about an hour and a half.

Great staff and very honest staff. My fuel pump failed on my Chrysler Sebring and they had it diagnosed and fixed in 2 hours! I would highly recommend this place especially for their oil changes.

I moved from Kalamazoo to Grand Rapids a few years back and SWORE by the Mufflerman there (Jim and his team were AMAZING). I assumed service at all Mufflerman’s would be just as phenomenal. WRONG. To make a long story short, the employees here dealt with us like numbers on paper, not actual human beings. While my husband’s Jeep was being serviced here his catalytic converter was stolen right off the truck while in their care. The employees were no help whatsoever, immediately stating that it wasn’t their fault and telling us that we needed to work with the police. I vouched for this business and it was the first auto shop we visited while new in town . Terrible experience. Will never return.

All I can say is that John and his crew are awesome. I have been taking my vehicle there for a few years now and every time has been great. Hands down the best repair shop in Grand Rapids I will only give John my business. I had my catalytic converter stolen from my car, I called in for an estimate and Corey was very honest and gave me a ballpark estimate. Told me it was best to buy the part myself and bring it in for them to install to save money. Ordered the parts from amazon and brought it in Wednesday morning at 8:30am. The repair was done by 10:30am. Price was fair for the repair and what I had budgeted for. Definitely a great experience in such a crummy situation I found myself in.

I brought my truck in to see why it was shaking and making a loud noise. I was greeted by April. I dropped it off the next day and they called me before an hour of me dropping it off to tell me it was ready. Its now quiet again and drives great. Efficient staff and great service!

I hadnt needed their services for quite a while, but I developed a loud rattle, seeming to come from the exhaust system. The dealership wouldnt even check to see what it was when I got my oil changed, so I stopped at Muffler Man. I expected to spend a couple hours and maybe $100. They had me out in less than half an hour, for$25.00! Nice people and fast, fair priced service. Too bad I can only give them 5 stars, they deserve more.

I had a great experience at Muffler Man and will never go any place else. I had just taken my car to another repair shop and been told that I urgently needed some expensive repairs. I happened to be with my mom when picking her car up from Muffler man a few days later. The Manager, Vince, offered to take a look at my car and determined that I did not need the repairs the other place had told me were urgent safety concerns. Genuine care and honesty like that is hard to come by these days and I will be a customer for life. I highly recommend them!

Took my Nissan in for a cracked muffler (something the dealership couldnt repair, only replace). I received fast, knowledgeable service with no appointment, and virtually no wait. I was out the door in under 45 minutes with a VERY reasonable bill for the work. Very impressive.

I honestly had a great experience hereIt was my first time ever getting work on my car done and everyone was so friendly. I came in just to get a guesstimate on what everything in my car would cost to fix and when they showed me how bad my break pads were they gave me time and were very understanding about me trying to find someone to help me pay since I didnt have the funds till my next paycheck. Happy to say my cat doesnt make an obnoxious grinding noise anymore :) quiet driving for me! Will definitely get my work done here as long as it stays as good as my experience this time

Id give this location 0 stars if it were possible! Let me give you some background for my experience. I took today off to get my wifes oil changed on her car. Called around 10:30 AM to see if there were any windows where a simple oil change would be possible. Was told by the female answering the phone that if I bring it in around 2 PM it should work.Thats exactly what I did. Brought it in at 2 PM... was told that there would be a TWO HOUR wait. My wifes car needed the oil change desperately so I decided to stick it out, killing time by visiting local shops. Two hours elapse and I come back to pick up my car, assuming the girl just forgot to contact me to let me know my car was all set...I get there and she now tells me that with the other cars dropped off, that Im sure needed more profitable repairs than my meager oil change, that my car PROBABLY wouldnt be able to get the oil changed in it at all today. No apologies, zero sincerity. Just a straight up screw you. Told this girl that I would never be back to this location ever again, and I mean it.No decent business leads people on to believe that the repair can be done promptly at a set time, then tells you itll be two hours wait, and THEN doesnt even call you as soon as they realize it wont be done that day to give you as much notice as possible. The shop wouldve closed and I wouldnt have even got a phone call.Seriously dont go here. Business equivalent to slum lords.

Great experience, they were very quick and showed me exactly what my car needed. I had some other estimates and they beat my best one by over $100. The environment is fun and fast paced, Mark and Russ did a great job of assisting me while making future recommendations. I plan to use them for all my undercarriage repairs in the future. I had such a wonderful experience today at the shop. The bearing on my passenger side was shot and they sat and searched for the problem and explained to me what was wrong. When they found the part they got it for the cheapest price around and said they could finish my car that day. There were some problems that occurred that was out of their control and they did the best they could to get what I needed there fast so they could get me out at a decent time. Thanks your Vincent, Chris and Joe you made my bad car situation so much better and its driving like a dream.

This is a great place to get your car fixed. They are fast and have great prices. They also stand by their work... My car was getting work done, and my Mom came to pick me up. They ended up also looking at her car, and cleaned the brakes for free. They tell you exactly what is wrong, and dont sell you stuff that you dont need. 5 stars, A+

I always have brought my car into Muffler Mans throughout my years and these guys are just as Ive come to expect. Excellent and fast service. Theyre honest, they dont screw around with you, and theyre fair. You tell them whats wrong, they find the cause, and they quote you a reasonable price (especially compared to the Ford Dealership in my experience. $500 versus $250. Which would you choose?) . Good guys. Will always keep coming back if they keep it up.

I took my car into Muffler man today. I did a bunch of research on places to take my car to. I am always skeptical about mechanics and so I was unsure what to expect still. I dropped my car off to be inspected. Fifteen minutes later I received recommendations regarding my car. I okd the work to be done. Ninety minutes later my car was done. I have had the same car for ten years. The muffler has never been this quiet. Great service, great price!

Did a good $40 muffler removal for a friend. Just a cut-out and reweld of straight pipe...Welded around 3/4 of the way round the exhaust :PCheaper than me buying a welder!

I thought the service was outstanding and the price was very fair. they were busy and still got me out close to projected time given to me. The biggest thing I love about this place is how I TRUSTworthy their advice was, and the price quoted was on the money. Few years ago I had a muffler partially detach and the manager was kind enough to charge me a very low price to temporarily patch it up until I had enough saved for a new exhaust system. I was greatful for his help and went back to have them out new exhaust in a few months later ( for great price too), & since then I have and will continue to support their business because I feel as though my hard earned dollars are not wasted & truly appreciated here. Id like to conclude by advising others to come here and also by saying thank you guys for what u do - and thats making my life much better with your exceptional service.

I went their for inspect a sound coming from the engine of my acadia and after inspection they told me that the sound coming from the tension er and they replace it for 287 and I am still having the same sound and after i told them that they said the sound is coming from the compressor and they want to charge me 500 more to change that and they refused to return my old tensioner back ... I dont recommend them for fixing your car .i didnt go to change the tensioner (which was not the problem ) i went their to fix the sound coming from the engine and i am still have the same sound even after replace the tensioner .

Stopped in to get an oil change on my 60 minute lunch, waited an hour and a half (past my allowed lunch time) and finally said screw it and left. Cant say Ill come back. second time coming there first time was good but after this time I think ill go elsewhere since 28th st is packed with oil change places that can do it in less than 30 minutes. Obviously didnt want the petty cash for doing my oil change....other shops would!

Great place, just like the poster below me said, its a no-frills garage. You have a problem with your car, theyll fix it. What I thought was going to be a $500 fix turned out to be a $100 fix and they were done in an hour. My tires were still low, sure, that means I can go air it up for 50 cents at a gas station instead of pay an extra $15 surcharge for simple work.Oh, and my boyfriend derped and left my $1600 laptop in the lobby. Mark came out right away and returned it to me. Cant get much more honest than that.

My experience with this location was absolutely horrible. So bad that i honestly thought/think they were just laughing at me, but any how here it is. I came in the first time because my Cadillac devilles windshield wiper would turn on and off by themselves. so long story short they tell me its the wiper motor. so of course i agree and ask them to throw it on for me. so i leave from there and as soon as i pull in my driveway my wipers start going again but this time even worse and at a more rapid rate. i take the car back and explain to them whats going on and the say its a defective motor they l order a new one and get it right on, so they do that. about a month goes buy and here comes yet again the same problem. so i take it back yet again and they tell me the same thing and do the same exact thing. after that it lasted for about 2 weeks and the problem then rose about yet again. so i take it back and they tell me i need to take it to some guy he recommends for electrical work. but by this time i was fed up and took the car to the dealer (Cadillac). so this is where it gets good. Cadillac tells me that it is the wiper motor and that not only was it installed incorrectly but the ground was disconnected and reconnected in the totally wrong area. and on top of that the motor was bad that muffler man gave me. so i take the part in to get my money back because to get the issue corrected the right way i had to pay just under $900. muffler man says the owner will call but no ones called and i keep getting the run around. again very bad experience the people are somewhat nice but i dont recommend anyone take your vehicle to this location.

Holy Meatballs! This place rocks the socks of your typical garage. This is your no-frills no-gimmicks no-amenities garage. Car need something replaced? take it here. Car need some custom exhaust repairing? take it here. Car need a strut to be plasma torched in half??? take it here. Car need to have its navigation re-calibrated.... take it somewhere else. You come in, sit the F down and they write your name on that notebook that has been there for 40 years. Honest people, Honest price. Boom, Bam I love this place. Manager had bad attitude. Only wanted a basic alignment and his response was that his guys dont make enough money off just an alignment so it likely couldnt get done today even though I was told on the phone that if I dropped off at opening time they would do it.Liar and poor customer service in my opinion.Should have learned my lesson from past poor experiences here.Never again

DISHONEST, MINIMAL EFFORT, INFLATED PRICES! Brought my car in here to get repaired for what shouldve been around $400. When I got my car back after paying almost a grand My right turn signal, air bag, cruse control, and horn stoped working. When I came back to find out what heck, the regoinal manager/ technician who worked on my car informed me the problem was I needed a dealer specific part. Turns out I can get this part at Wal-Mart and it has no correlation to 2 of the problems when I got it back

Wow. Zero stars for this place. I had my jeep in for a new muffler less than a year ago. Was told I had a one year warranty. Heard noise underneath the car and wanted it checked, Ashley told me shed waive the $25 inspection fee. I had a friend pick up my car while I was at work and she charged him the fee after telling me she wouldnt. Take your car literally anywhere else, they will probably check it out for free too. I cant believe that the whole exhaust wasnt checked when it was in because its still loud even though a new muffler was put on, was told it was ice build up, yet it still makes a louder noise when applying gas. To charge for an inspection for a follow up within the warranty period is absurd.

STAY AWAY:I Ran into a curb, came in on Saturday morning for last minute alignment as I was suppose to go up north for a group road trip. Was told I need new lower suspension for both wheels. $800 for parts and labor.Waited till Monday to go to my trusted ase certified mechanic. Turns out All I needed was the alignment!!!They ruined mine and other peoples weekend and wanted to steal nearly a grand from me.

Horrible!!!! Caused us 8,000 dollars worth of damage!!! Corporate has been trying to dodge the obvious for several weeks, which almost cost my husband his job and cost us several hundred dollars in rental cars and inspections at two different dealerships.

They were very friendly but found out I was charged $250 for service never done. l will never go back.
