Fastest Ive ever got a flat tire patched and fixed in my life. Didnt even shut my car off less than 5 mins. Best $10 I could have possibly spent. Id pay $10 all day for a 5-10 min wait tops and be on my way before I gotta drop my car off and wait 2 plus hours to get it done for free over at Mr. Schwabs where i lose a couple hours of my life every time I try to go there I usually wait in line longer than it takes for them to fix my tire at this new place. 6 yrs ago I moved to Kent and shortly thereafter had car trouble. The tow driver recommend the place and they have been our mechanic ever since.They are really trying to do a good job and will straight up tell you if another place can give you a better deal.Honest and knowledgeable. What else do you want from a mechanic?

I had my car serviced by Auto tek Kent and from my first meeting Mr. George, the owner to the final interaction of picking up and paying for services done, I experienced excellent service and it was apparent that this place knows their stuff. They explained everything up front. They were educating and honest regarding diagnosis, labor time and fitting me in.I highly recommend Auto Tek Kent !

I had an appointment for an oil change. I had a coupon for the oil change. The coupon is for an oil change at 24.95. Of course my car takes synthetic, which costs more even after the coupon.Not remembering how much it cost and remembering that the last time it was more than expected, I asked for a price quote when I got there so I knew which card to use for payment. Some cards had more funds than others. And, even though I have been going here for years, I have never made it a point to remember the exact cost. Its just one of those things that pops up when its time to get it done.Also, one time I had gone there maybe a year or two ago, I remembered being quoted one price and then later finding it was another. Either way, I just wanted to know which card to use so I wanted an exact price quote after tax and all. Making sure there was enough on the card I use. Thats all.The guy helping me says, I can get you that quote because I know you want to price check. I tried to explain I just needed to know how much it was so I knew which card to use. I had set up the appointment to get my oil change done there for a reason. Because I had gone there for years... He became almost dismissive of this acting as if Im looking for a cheaper price. But...ok....I guess its inappropriate to ask a business how much something costs?The guy helping me is the owners son. He had helped me a couple times before, and of the owners two sons, he is the least friendly. He has been been rude to me each time he has helped me. Of everyone who works the counter, he has always given me an attitude or otherwise been rude to me.At any rate, I did not come alone and was having conversations with more than him. Talking to who I was with, I mention that I had hoped the owner had been there. He knows us and is always super awesome. He is why we keep going back there. Very nice gentleman with an excellent business demeanor.We also had planned to get lunch. When we were told me it will be about 45 minutes I asked to use the bathroom and then my friend was in the waiting area so I asked him if he still wants to get lunch figuring it would be enough time to get something to eat and as we were leaving I mentioned to him that the shop looked empty and I hoped they wouldnt finish to fast because I had never seen them that empty. I said to him I hope they dont finish to fast because theyre probably gonna start working on the car immediately. And then we left.Just as we were outside in the parking lot walking away, heading to get some lunch, the guy working there comes outside and approaches me. He says if you want to go somewhere else go there. You dont have to be rude. I heard what you said. You got a problem with our price go find somewhere cheaper!I tried to explain to him I had no problem with the price and just needed the quote so I knew which card to use. He interrupts me and says, you are being passive aggressive. Youve been coming here for years! You know the price! I heard you complaining about how long it will take. What? You think we can do it in 15 minutes?I tried to explain to him that the only reason the subject of how long it would take was being discussed is because we were going to get lunch. If anything, I would have been cool if it took longer than 45 minutes. More time to eat.But he wouldnt let me speak. Every time I opened my mouth to say something he began to yell over me and refused to listen. Even, a few times, suggesting he would just refuse to help me or seeming to demand that if I am unhappy I can take my business elsewhere. He even, several times, told me I dont want to hear it and I dont care what you have to say without ever allowing me to explain how wrong his interpretations of what was said were. It was as if he had created an entire scenario where I was some jerk whining about the price and time and he simply would not let me speak to the contrary because he was wrong.This was entirely unprofessional and, while the owner did apologize, I dont want to be treated that way.

Honest service, they do what they say, dont fix whats not broken. Due to work load there is sometimes a lag in getting the job done, but the intentions and efforts are evident.

Thought I had mold on car hood. The gentleman gave it a nice scrub and power wash, no more green stuff.Thank you very much.

George and his team always go above and beyond. Been trusting them with many cars in many years. We moved to Puyallup 5 years ago and still drive all the way out to Kent for their service and expertise.

Had an oil change coupon for $26 for oil change and since I need synth oil he quoted me $7 per quart on oil then when I got there they said $8. He claims he said 7.95 on phone (he didnt). Even though I had an appt he still said it would take 2 hours for a simple oil change. Then I called him back while waiting and asked if he would do the tire rotation too and he mentions oh itll be longer now because they had to go get special oil for my car even though he knew what it was before I even came in. Then I had to drag it out of him that he was planning on charging me extra for my super rare oil more than the $8 per quart which was more than the original quote already and now hes increasing it again. So he wants $85 plus tax for an oil change with a coupon lol so I said ok maybe just dont do the oil and only do the tire rotation and he told me he wont do it because I told him I didnt want to pay the extra for the oil change. Total BS waste of time. Way to treat new customers! Fool.

Got an oil change at this place and the mechanic was too lazy or didn’t have the right tools to to remove the oil pan properly. So he triggered the O2 sensors along with the check engine light. He gave the car back to me saying I need to replace the O2 sensors and see what was going on with the check engine light. The car was brought in with no O2 sensors or check engine light triggered and now it was given back to me FAULTY. My car was actually leaking oil as I was driving. So not only did they do a horrible job changing my oil but they tried to make me PAY FOR THEIR OWN MISTAKES by telling me to let them “check out what was wrong.” This is your typical mechanic scam shop.I DON’T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!

The guys may be good and jovial but they are NOT not the best deal in town. At a labor rate of $118/hour and parts marked up 100% of market value you probably just wonna go to the dealership. If you know about cars you will quickly notice they exaggerate labor time on jobs. I once got quoted a job for $500 but it ended up costing me $309.00 elsewhere. Shop around my friends. Any shop charging over $100/hr in labor is a bad deal from start to finish. Most Shops average $80-95/hr

I have taken my vehicles to AutoTek for over 10 years. They are honest.

George replaced my engine and warned me about a bad catalytic converter but I didnt listen. It was a real problem 5 days later and burned up my ignition wires. After those were fixed the truck is better than new. Time for a road trip! Thanks guys for a great job! Ill let you know more when I get back from Los Vegas 🙂

I came in with an oil change coupon and they up charged me for arbitrary items instead of discussing beforehand. When I questioned the line items, the shop manager got very upset in front of other customers. For my type of SUV, I seek out these $19-24 oil change coupons so my total is around $30 instead of $40 or higher like it was here.

I do not advise this place after the experience twice, the first experience with them was six months ago, ask me to repair the car about 600 dollars, and I did not have the amount then I took the matter to the end of the month and when I returned to them in the end of the month they did not find the old assessment in the computer and conducted a second examination of the car after the test they told me your car just need 150 dollars (Alignment) price and I knew that the assessment of the Evaluation of cars is random, I decided not to return to this place, and the second experience is that my son is not aware of this place handed them his car and that the evaluation of repair is expensive about $ 1350 asked me to receive the car from this shop And making sure theyre replaced all the parts that were agreed upon, and for my previous knowledge of this place and upon receipt of the car I asked them to see the order paper parts and I am not interested to know the prices, but I want to know that the parts were actually ordered, they did not agree to allow me to view the order and brought me some old parts and said For me these are the parts that have been replaced and when I insist on seeing the order they show me the order paper and here was a sudden not all parts were ordered,I do not recommend this shop and in them if you have to ask them the order paper.

This really is an honest shop with good work. Yes, the buildings seen heavy use, but thats because they are a shop that does a lot of good work. Even had a lifetime alternator warranty repair recently that was NO issue. I called, brought the Santa Fe down and it was done. No complaints and no arguing. Really an honest place to get your car repaired.

Great service, I know it was only a flat tire. The dealer had told me I needed to replace the tire and shave it or buy all 4 tire. The dealer claimed could not fix the tire because it was close to the sidewall. I saw this shop off of central and decided to stop, and Im glad I did. I came in 45 minutes before closing shop, and he said hed gladly take a look. 30 minutes later I was on my way happy as my tires still have 50% life on them. Ill come here again just for that.

I have been bringing my cars to this shop for over 12 years. Im always treated with respect, they explain what they see/think its wrong, and always give me the option to say no to any service. Theyve even prioritized repairs so I could take care of the most urgent issues first, and then get to the other problems as I had the money. They always have coffee, magazines to read, and a TV to watch while you wait. George, Ari and Aaron are the best!

Management at this, and any shop, should ensure that underpaid techs are not using impact devices to replace oil pan drain plugs after fluid changes. The customer returned twice over a period of a few weeks to bring a new oil leak issue to their attention, and both times were told that a leak could not be located. Within 5 minutes at my shop, I located a stripped out drain plug. By this time the vehicle had run low on oil several times. I replaced the oil pan with a new OEM, changed the filter, replaced the oil to the full level; less than 2 months passed, and got a call from customer stating oil light was illuminating. Vehicle was 4 quarts low, with no leaks...... I checked at tailpipe, black, sooty buildup is present. My experience tells me that due to Auto Techs negligence, their once satisfied customer now needs major engine repairs. Perhaps they will step up and acknowledge the fact that an unsupervised, and possibly untrained tech made a mistake and make it right for the customer.....

George (Owner) and the team at Autotek are experienced people, who do good work.I had a front wheel bearing blow while racing at Pacific Raceways in Kent.They squeezed me in the next day, and even though the repair wasnt easy, they persevered through it and made it possible for me to get home that day.I would strongly recommend their services if you are looking for an honest shop that does good work and charges a fair rate!Thx George & Team

SCAM ALERT!!! BE CAREFUL!!! THIS PLACE LIKES TO ADD MORE DIAGNOSTIC CAR PROBLEMS TO YOUR FINAL $$$ BILL!!! I went to get a simple car alignment this morning to this location and dropped off the car to find out later today that i have a problem with my rack pinion steering wich is a problem they found and needs to be fix before alignment and wanted me to pay $820 extra and then $80 dollar alignment A TOTAL OF $900 AND IF I DID NOT WANT TO GET THIS FIX HERE WITH THEM TO GET MY CAR KEYS BACK I HAD TO PAY THEM A $40 DOLLAR DIAGNOSTIC CHECK FEE!!! SOMETHING I DID NOT ASK FOR PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH THIS LOCATION AND THERE SICK SCAM!!!!!!

Recently moved here from S. Oregon and this was my first time pursuing vehicle service by myself. I have a severe anxiety disorder and this could have been a disaster for me, HOW EVERThese guys are honest, super kind, hard working dudes. Spoke to Aaron on the phone to make the appointment and he was so helpful and friendly.Ari helped me at the shop and he was ABSOLUTELY fantastic; so patient! Unexpected rotor replacement needed to be made with my new brake pads and he worked out a price that worked well for my already microscopic budget and even let me call my mom to have her pay part with her card over the phone. Felt very taken care of with these folks and how they went out of their way EVEN ON A BUSY SERVICE DAY, to get me the help I came for one way or another, and I definitely trust them to service my vehicle again in the future. Excellent, knowledgeable service, but most importantly, these folks are honest. We would never take our cars anywhere else for service. Weve had lots of work done here over the years, and every time we are blown away by their honesty and efficiency.

George the owner does not know what he is doing. He does not communicate well with the mechanics. I took my car back three times for a leak he charged me something new each time. At the end he told me radiator needed fix immediately. He could have told me that the first time I went. But they only do half a job because they are too busy to pay attention and do the job correctly the first time. Also overpriced. They were charging more than Nissan service was charging me to replace the radiator.

Great prices. Always busy, call much ahead of time and make an appointment. Shout out to George, you and your team are the best!
