I got various quotes from hearing and cooling companies in the area. East Hill Heating & Cooling stood out immediately! Christy was so UNBELIEVABLY nice over the phone, truly amazing customer service! They came out right away for a quote and they were SIGNIFICANTLY less expensive than any of their competitors. They aren’t trying to up-sell you on anything, Doug knows his stuff and told me exactly what I needed. He explains everything in detail and let’s me know why other companies might make suggestions on things and why they are simply trying to up-sell you. I have a friend in HVAC and he confirmed this too. Doug is an expert who has been doing this for 30+ years and it was clear right away! We had to wait a month to get an installation but that is understandable in the heart of the summer. When the day finally came he did the entire job by himself which was extremely impressive. He installed a new furnace, new A/C, new thermostat, new water heater, and cleaned my vents. The job took a few days because it was indeed a big job! But it was perfect and they were SUPER flexible. I don’t usually write reviews but I HAD to for this company. Cannot recommend them enough! They were outstanding in every aspect of their business. They are a small family owned business and they do things right. Thank you Doug and Christy!

Doug is terrific! He has installed new furnaces in 2 of our homes and replaced a water heater as well! His advice help us to have gas installed in our rental home, making the cost of utilities drop tremendously! East Hill will always be our go to heating and cooling company!

Doug was able to come out right away to assess my heating issue. He quickly identified the problem and gave me options and costs to repair vs replacement. Due to the age of my system we decided to replace, and Doug was able to get the job completed within a couple days. Pricing was fair, customer service was excellent, and Doug and Christy are good people to do business with. Will definitely use again in the future.

We have been using East Hill Heating & Cooling for close to 20 years now. First, in our Federal Way home and then when we moved to our Auburn home. They have repaired both furnace and hot water tanks over the years and also replaced them when needed. ( each home had different issues ). They have also installed digital thermostats in each home when we asked them to do so. Our new home had some issues underneath that we were unaware of when we bought it. It is a manufactured home.Doug crawled underneath, made the repairs and rewrapped all of the duct work to fix the problem. They have always fit us into their swamped schedule and never suggest replacing, when repairing is a better and more economical option. We trust them completely! I am writing this today because we noticed a leak this morning in our hot water tank. It is the old, original one. Christy called Doug and he drove by our place on his way to his originally planned job. Their customer service is AMAZING and I do not look forward to the day they finally retire.

I have had East Hill repair my old heat pump, and then install a new system. I found the prices fair, and the work quality excellent. I dont see any reason to spent more money to go with the large, high overhead companies. Doug is great and really knows his stuff. Recommended

Our HVAC system has been serviced by East Hill for over 20 years. In Federal Way they serviced our old system until it finally needed to be replaced. They were always punctual, reasonable and provided great quality. After we moved to Maple Valley, we had them put a new system in our home here, and again they did a fantastic job.

Doug & his wife were great. They came out as quickly as they could on short notice and worked quickly to get a new furnace in after ours died. He answered my multitude of questions and was super professional. I bit part of how I review is also how they leave the space when they are finished with the work, and everything was cleaned and very professional.

This is one of the most helpful, honest and courteous companies out there. For as long as they are here, I will be a customer.Weve had issues with our furnace/air and Doug fixed it; another time he made a special trip (in the dead of winter) to help us. He had to order parts, told us what the price for the parts would be and why; did the install and gave us a very reasonable price. Four years ago, Doug installed a new furnace in my parents home and they were very happy with the service and the product. This summer, after a difficult medical diagnosis which left my parents house-bound, we reached out to Doug to explore the possibility of adding Air Conditioning to my parents furnace in an effort to make the house and my dad more comfortable in the warm weather. Doug was prompt, kind, and efficient in his assessment of options for my parents. Both he and Christy patiently answered our many different questions as we moved through the decision making process. We later learned that after the initial visit to discuss AC, Doug and Christy had proactively ordered the necessary parts so that when/if my parents decided to move ahead, they wouldnt have to wait. What a great experience. I am an average Joe and I was looking for a fair knowledgeable person to evaluate my 20 year old furnace. They were easy to work with and did exactly what they said. These people are wonderful. I had had work done by another company and ny furnace quit running. I was suspicious of the constant up sell from the other company and the lack of honesty. I called East Hill and they were wonderful. Came and checked out the furnace. Diagnosed the problem immediately and told me to make the other company make it right. And, he didnt charge me for the visit. I will be buying a furnace in the near future and you can guess who I will be calling. They are honest, smart, ethical!!! Thank you East Hill!!!

Requested a quote for an AC install, was told it would arrive in a few days, called a week later, was told it wasn’t sent because they thought it would be too expensive for me. Very strange experience, I’m not sure they want anyone’s business.

Doug was excellent, my furnace stopped working and I was afraid I was going to be out a ton of money. They showed up same day, and Doug was able to fix my furnace in just under an hour and was on his way, for a very reasonable amount, the week before Xmas. I will be calling them again when I am ready to replace the furnace. They are the best!

All though Taco has fantastic Tacos, burritos, enchiladas, I eat there when ever I crave these kinds of foodsR F.

I would have given 5 stars, because they were very responsive. But I called them back to get them to come out again and whomever the reception is was very rude and was telling me they wouldnt come out and work on a heating pump that is old and accused me of wanting them to come out under warranty. I told her no I didnt say anything about warranty work and just wanted them to come check it out. She explained they can just come fix it like your car. Thats when I said never mind you are being too rude to a customer. Hence this reviee!

My tenants furnace was throwing a error code. I called several places that were unable to schedule for same day. East Hill was able to schedule a same day visit. The repair was done and the furnace was back up and running the same day it broke down. My tenants were extremely impressed by the speed. All this was achieved while I was out of the country. Thanks East Hill for the speed and making the process so incredibly easy for me!

This is essentially a copy and paste from my yelp review, but I see they dont have a lot of reviews on google, so here is my review...Woman on the phone, I believe her name was Christy (forgive me if its not), was very pleasant to speak to. I was shocked they could get to me the same day I called! In fact, they were able to come a couple hours ahead of what they originally scheduled me and I was able to make it to work on time! The Gentleman who came and repaired my furnace was prompt, knowledgeable and efficient. Ive only lived in my house a few years and he recognized my furnace as the one he originally put in back in 2001, how cool is that!I highly recommend, there was no upsale, just to the point and fixed what was wrong. I was very satisfied with the cost, and will be going to them when I need to replace the furnace in the future!

Responsive and nail the problem quickly. Charged a very reasonable fee. To show you what I considered unreasonable, I had problem earlier this year with my heat pump and called another company who charged me a total of ~$340 to replace a motor start/run capacitor, i.e. ~$170+ for the first service call to look at the problem and another ~$170+ to install the new capacitor. The technicians from the first company did not even know how to deal with my Nest. Doug showed me how to remove the cover and verified the wiring was correct in no time.

I should have written this review when they first replaced my forced air gas furnace a little over a year ago. To make a long story short, I went to Angies list as I needed someone to service my furnace. Brennan offered a coupon so I scheduled their service appt. The technician found two large cracks in the heat exchanger. This was the summer of 2014 so it hadnt been used for a couple of months. Bottom line is had I used it, we probably would have died of carbon monoxide. So they gave me a quote of almost $6,000 to replace it. I was feeling nervous so I said OK and scheduled the replacement. After thinking about it a couple of hours, I decided to handle this the way I always do and get other quotes. I called East Hill Heating & Cooling and spoke to the most helpful woman. We talked for quite some time about my house, its size and the challenges I had with keeping it warm. Bottom line is I didnt need a $6,000 furnace for my home. The owner of East Hill Heating came out and put in a great two-stage furnace for half the cost that Brennan was going to charge me. Its been working just great for a little over a year now. I am getting ready to get it serviced so Im calling East Hill again. These folks are the best and you cant go wrong.
