Outstanding service! They exceeded my expectations. I have gone to many mechanics here in the tricities and this is by far the best experience Ive had. Shout out to Eddie for getting my vehicle in asap and the mechanic for getting it fixed right away. I had already taken my vehicle to two other places before this and they were unable to find the problem or get the parts needed. Eddie called me a day earlier than expected to tell me that my vehicle was ready to pick up. I plan on coming back to fix my other vehicle. I highly recommend this place!

From the first contact Motoring Services was exceptional. They fit my car in right away, which was good since we were leaving on a long trip that weekend. They did their review and diagnostic tests and gave us some peace of mind about the engine noises and transmission concerns. Then they even dropped their diagnostic fee by half, even though they kept the car overnight to check it again the next morning. They have earned our future car maintenance! (Not very happy with the dealership in this area, so this is a great find.)

My sons pick-up, 2003 Chevy Silverado, was continuing to go into Low Power Mode. Several attempts at another mechanic shop were unsuccessful in repairing the problem. I talked with Motoring Service and worked with them on what I wanted to try. They agreed, they replaced the throttle body, and the rest is history. The truck runs like a top again, has not entered Low Power Mode for three weeks now.Thanks for working with me and getting the truck fixed. Now I will always bring my vehicles to Motoring Services. It was a simple oil change...Ive done it on my Toyota a dozen times..They messed up the data for volumes.Lucky the tech caught the error....Then they said my valve cover gasket had a significant leak and should be replaced.When I said I know it leaks a bit,but hardly noticeable on my 5ooo mile oil changes with oil level,so its not very bad..He recanted,yet still recommended a new gasket at $675 with labor,when my mechanic of 6 years in Portland,whos incredibly honest and been in same place 25 years,quoted me at under $200...Once here was enough...

Been a go-to for me due to proximity to our home for 4 years... until now. Theyve gotten very nickel & dime with their price quotes.Over the course of two days (mis-fire on cylinder 2), the price quote went from $200 on the high end to $600, to $799, to $931 WITH a $50 discount.Going back to Hi-Land Garage.Edit: the Owner addressed my issue on their quotes by saying we quoted up to $200 on the high side to diagnose it. This is a lie 🤥.My phone, by default, records all calls. Diagnosis was never specified; only $200 on the high end to get it running again is what was said in the phone call. But again, Im not sweating it as Hi-Land Garage served me just as well & for many more years before I went here out of convenience.Also, owner said you have been coming here for 4 years with no problem and no one called to talk? But yet you also said you spoke with 3 different members of the family (it was only 2 people, so another lie 🤥) 10 times (phone records show that on the entire day of 8/11 from 09:11- 16:27 I called you three times, he called you twice, and you called him thrice) in the next 2 hours... another lie 🤥.Im sure that Mao Zedong would have preferred that the people Just gave him a 5 star review & said that he United China, and made sure everyone had enough to eat... But not mention that he did it by systematically starving half the country to death so the rest could eat their fillLies/Exaggerations make bad business partners.🤥

I was also quoted $200-300 before I brought my car in, but was charged $900 in the end.On the bright side, my car was finished earlier than estimated.Edit in response to the owner: The auto place I go to near where I live doesnt charge me $110 to glance at my car and tell me what was wrong with it. I was warned about replacing the valve cover free of charge before I visited here. I apologize if the amount of calls you received on my behalf was confusing, but you were only contacted by 1 other person than me, not 3. You also did NOT receive 10 calls within 2 hours, that is a gross exaggeration.I was not quoted $200 on the high side for diagnostics either, I was told that would be for the repair. I recorded that call and have evidence of this.I thank you for fixing my car, but as for your very unprofessional request to just give me a 5 star review I will not, because frankly, my experience could have been better elsewhere.

The employees there are super friendly! Gotta love the free shuttle service they offer while they do what they have to do with your vehicle. Referral specials too. This place has my vote for my vehicle.

Great service, as always, Im a loyal customer for a reason. I had my car at work and their staff came to my work and picked up my car in the morning and returned it again in the early afternoon for my scheduled maintenance appointment. I was called before they returned it to be offered a specific service package at a third of the orig price. I have a co-worker who had worked recently in the auto service industry and they reviewed the package as well as the maintenance completed and said it was an excellent deal. I cant recommend this business enough. They were clearly responsive to the current virus environment and went above and beyond to keep myself as well as their staff safe and still get the job done.

They keep me in the loop the whole time. I went in to get my clutch changed and was only expecting it to be a week. My whole transmission was blown. It was done before 2 weeks. My car is driving like its brand new!!!

I got the Service Program and started saving right away!!! Our car has 150,000+ miles on it and was severely needing some TLC. The team came and got my car for me so I could continue on with my day while my car had her Spa Day. They gave me a list of what needed done, and knowing we could not do it all at once, they did a list for me that was prioritized so that I could budget for each item that needed taken care of. When coming to a new area, it is hard to get re-established with new businesses and I felt very comfortable with the service I received. I would recommend Motoring Services 100 times over. My truck had some clutch issues while driving cross country to Texas. Everyone at the shop was so kind and bent over backwards to get me back on the road the same day so I could make it to my destination on time. They stayed late on a Friday (the day before the 4th of July) to make sure I was taken care of. I couldnt recommend these guys enough!

They worked on my old van for a few days (1994 with over 200K miles). The customer service was fantastic! The kept me updated about cost and discussed priorities about what needed fixing. It runs better than it has in years. Smooth with plenty of power. I’m now hoping to get another 100k miles on it. 😊

Highly recommend. They do customer service as it should be, constant and all encompassing. Their prices are upfront and fair. They offer free pickup and drop off so your day isnt affected and explain all your choices with suggestions for all necessary repair and cover several options. They stay in contact and finish and show up when promised. They never try to alarm and pressure to increase their own sale, as a female this is particularly important to me. Since we were leaving the following morning it was a high priority. Lucky for me the good folks at Motoring Services were ready to help me out. Ive been going to Motoring Services exclusively for about 8 years now and they have been great every time. This last visit was AMAZING! I had some issues with my extended warranty company that Matt and crew helped me with tremendously, they were also able to set me up with a discount for the rental that I would need while waiting for the warranty company to iron things out. Weve used Motoring Services for years. They are always honest, very reliable, and are honestly some of the nicest people I know.Last week I had a sensor go off on a brand new car--while I was driving by Motoring Services. I panicked and pulled in (without an appointment) and asked if they could help me. They were great--Tyler checked things out and I was on my way in a matter of minutes. I was so appreciative of his willingness to help on the spot!

Great service every time. Today, I dropped off my truck for maintenance. After the mechanic inspected it, I was told my requested service was not necessary. At drop off, I did request a basic systems inspection as well, which they also performed. I was very pleased with the detailed inspection report. Just bought an ‘86 oldsmobile and needed to get a lot of work done on it. I got a new alternator and a bunch of normal maintenance done by them. They were so great and helpful. They kept me informed the whole time and did not try to dupe or trick me in to paying for more than I needed. Would highly recommend!!!

Took our truck to Motoring Service when discovered front end and brake issues. They were able to diagnose and repair. They didn’t try to sell us anything else and when asked if there were issues other than the wheel bearing assembly, etc. they said no. We had taken truck to Ford dealer and they said we needed differential etc replaced at 1400.00. We didn’t think there was anything wrong and found that to be true. Motoring Service could not find the issue we were told we had. Would take my other rigs there.

I needed a Lyft inspection of my car so I went to Motoring Services. Their facility is easy to find and is very clean, not junky like some automotive places. When I went inside I felt very comfortable, it was like being at a friends home. The customer service was great, Dave helped me with dropping off my car. Dave was very friendly and professional. I was offered a free Shuttle ride back home, which I gladly accepted. The Shuttle van was clean and the driver, Mike, was very pleasant and friendly. I was offered a free ride back to pick up my car later in the day but I had already arranged to get a ride. I was running late but Jody didnt make me feel rushed or pressured to hurry. Some places treat you like an inconvenience when you show up close to closing time but Jody was very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend Motoring Services and I will definitely use them again when I need any work done to my car.

Quoted me $7,000 for a USED engine for a 2003 Ford Ranger. While that is high, the most appalling thing was that the manager was pressuring me to sell my vehicle to him for $150 when he gave me the quote over the phone. When I went in to reclaim my vehicle, the first thing the manager asked me was whether or not I had decided to sell my truck to him. The quote given to me was not itemized in any way and they charged me over $190 for pulling one spark plug for diagnostics.DO NOT GET SCAMMED BY THIS SHOP.REPLY BY OWNER: Thank you for the review Robert Watson. Let me just say that we have been in business and locally owned for over 40 years here in the Tri-Cities with almost a 5 star status. You dont get there by scamming anyone. We are not a backyard shop and wont just install a used engine without doing it right. If you want to call, Id be more than happy to talk more or refund your $186.00 cause we are that kind of shop!RESPONSE: Like I stated above, the appalling part was not the price quoted, it was the manager trying to con me out of my vehicle. Statements made to me: A junkyard wouldnt give you $50 for it, I will give you $150, $150 will cover most of the bill for diagnostics. I doubt anyone would pay $500 for it, but I can do $150 Keep in mind that this truck drove on and drove off of your lot and estimates from other brick and mortar shops were half of yours. Your manager was so eager to buy my vehicle that when the quote was put together for me to examine there were no parts listed to show the estimated cost of materials, there were no hours listed to show the estimated hours of labor and the only thing listed was on the bottom line @$7,000, everything else was zero. The only thing your manager said about the cost was we only looked locally and its expensive because we would put in a new thermostat and replace all the belts. If you want to compare your business to a backyard shop, look at the estimate your shop gave me and ask yourself what it would look like if a backyard shop was trying to scam you out of your vehicle. I agreed to pay the diagnostic, if you want to refund my money thats fine, it wont change my opinion of how your manager went about trying to buy my vehicle for a laughable $150 which would have still left me paying your shop for some of the diagnostic service. I took my truck to you, you offered me the options of a $7000 fix or pay you $36 and sign my title over.

Brought the vehicle in because the engine check light was on. They asked if I wanted to do a full vehicle inspection. At first I was hesitant about it and then I agreed. Best thing I ever did. 1st I must say I never create a post regarding services I receive rather it be good or bad. I wasnt even sure I knew how to make a post. So, I asked my 14 year, lol. Well I must say the service I received at Motoring Services was awesome. They were referred to me by a neighbor. They did a lot of work on my vehicle and I had a $ amount I couldnt afford to go beyond. They looked at everything I needed them to look at and they managed to take care of the most important items while staying within the $ amount. We had arranged to follow up on the other items for which all things at this point has been taken care of and within a timely manner. I cant thank Jodi and Matt enough for the service they have provided to me. And let me not forget to thank the mechanic that worked on my car.

Motoring Services has taken care of my cars for almost 30 years. Great service, they have honored their warranty when a part they installed failed, bringing the issue to my attention and installing a new one at no cost to me. Their shuttle service helps make getting my car serviced easy, and I appreciate the complete written reports about what they have done, and advance warnings of upcoming service needs. Their prices are higher than some, but they are worth it!

I seen a lot of great reviews about these guys so thought I would try them, I have to say they are very knowledgeable and very friendly. They do not seem to push unnecessary repairs and only advise you on what you might need in upcoming services, prices also seem fair, So at this point I would definitely recommend them.

I called motoring services for an A/C compressor change, flush, and charge. The lady quoted me $382 if the system was still charged because they could then reuse the R134a. She quoted me $452 if they had to recharge the system. I brought my car there, they were nice and had the courtesy to give me a ride to our other car which, is a great service. However, a half hour later the same lady called me from Motoring Services and stated that the tech recommended replacing another part on the A/C system as it was a part they always recommend replacing when flushing due to it possibly getting contaminated/clogged. She then quoted me another $85 dollars for the part and then proceeded to tell me it would be another $50 in labor.This would bring my total nearly $600 at best case and another $50 on top of that worst case scenario. SHe then also told me the original quote didnt include tax! I got really upset at the new cost. What are we in Oregon? When do you tell someone a price and then tell them another, when they show up because you forgot to include tax. Needless to say, I decided to take my vehicle to somewhere else. I feel this was a dishonest move. The lady didnt give me an accurate quote, did not consult a tech before she did so, and didnt double check with a tech when I dropped the car off on what they were doing and what was standard for these services. I know things are caught or found during repairs. But, this part was standard supposedly for this service.

I have since changed my review to this statement:I had it wrong. Motoring Services is a standup business! The manager had me call him to explain he had been out of town. If he had been here, he would have fixed the issue for free. Since the work was already done, he gave me a full refund. He sounded like a very nice guy who stands behind his work 100%. He even gave me a $50 credit the next time I come in to keep me as a repeat customer. I am so impressed with how professional Mike was.My original review:I dont normally write bad reviews, unless its really bad. I went to Motoring Services for a 75,000 checkup for $1,500 and all was good with my transmission fluid. When I went to Misters to get an oil change, they let me know I needed a flush due to the brown color of the transmission fluid. When I went back to ask Motoring services why they didnt perform a flush a month ago, they said that at the time, it was ok, but now, I need one. Also, it would cost $200 more dollars. I am not ok with auto shops not performing the work properly the first time, only to make the customer pay for their mistake the second time they come in. I will not spend my money here ever again.

Didnt give the option for a cheaper repair which I found out about after the fact. Quote for brakes was excessive because theres something special about them. Nonsense, I went and changed them myself, only took 90 minutes, four bolts on each side and done.

Whenever I have work done here I always leave with the feeling that I was treated fairly and that my business matters and is appreciated. Thank you Motoring Services, I will be back!

I will continue to take my cars to Motoring Services for all services from LOFs to more extensive services required of my relatively new and older high mileage vehicles.

I have found out that over the 6 years that I have been doing business with Motoring Services is one thing for sure...You CAN trust them completly Mike and Jodi always give me a quote, and thats always what I pay, never more. They always throughly look over your car and report any problems that might pop up in the future. If its something that they dont work on they always suggest who can.
