I went in about a week ago with my mom. I was very nervous because I had never had my hair done by Lacey before. She seemed like she knew what she was doing, so I decided to give her a shot. I’m so glad I did because she did the best highlights I’ve ever had! They were even better than I imagined, and ticked all of my boxes. I’m definitely going to go back!

I am someone who manages to get to the salon about once a year or so, for a trim of my slow-growing thin hair, and also some highlights. Each time Ive visited over the last 10 years, Ive had a very good experience. The stylists have been personable and the work they did came out very nice. I would recommend to others who are looking for an upscale salon.

Love, love, love Georgys Salon. From the head massage and hot towel to the cut and style. Its a little more pricey than what Im used to but feel its well worth the money for a good hair cut. I always ask for Brianne but my daughter has been to a couple stylist and they all seem to be great!

I had been a customer there for many years. Have had many different stylists. The last time I had my hair colored and cut by a recommended stylist, as my stylist was out of town. I paid $ 219.00 . The most that I had ever paid. My hair was destroyed!!!!!! Fried,chopped even melted!!! I made the salon aware of my experience, even sent picture.There was no apology or effort made to fix my hair. The also did not refund my money. I was devastated. This is not how a good business treats their customers. Do not go there and get your hair ruined and lose you hard earned money.

I love it here! Ms. Denise does my moms hair! She is the sweetest most caring person!! Ms. Denise did my son Little Barrys first hair cut, and today she did my daughter Alaynnas! She was so scared, but Ms Denise did anything to make her comfortable and gave her candy. My baby girl got the princess hair cut (thats what ms Denise told her the cut was.) Crystal was at the front desk and very sweet, helpful, and nice. Now in February my baby will have herself and 2 friends get their hair and makeup done! Alaynna is so excited! When we left Alaynna told Bamby(my mom) and I mommy I love Ms.Mermaid Denise!!! She has been telling everyone that the mermaid did her hair!!! Thanks Ms. Denise for taking such good care of my baby girl!! And Crystal thanks for your help and for the idea of her birthday being their!! 😘

This salon shuns mens business; a simple haircut is too much effort and evidently, not profitable.Dont let the décor fool you; management and employees are nasty, ungrateful, complaining and condescending. Let me be clear: Dont waste your time an money.In about a week, at Easter, I will be visiting my sister who is dying from cancer. I needed a haircut beforehand, and called Georgys to schedule one with Renee Hebert.Last Friday afternoon after being seated, Marsha, the manager on duty, instigated an unfounded verbal assault on me. The banter continueed and soon, Ms. Hebert, also chimed in to say, that cutting my hair was time consuming and that she didnt have the time to do it.I guess cutting curly, hair is a challenge. But rather than offering the novice stylist, Renee Hebert, support and assistance, to mentor her, and improve her skills, it was just easier (for them) to have me pay the extra $10-15 Dollars to have a Master stylist at the salon cut my hair — OR go some place else.Additionally, I was told that I should have my hair cut by a man!? WTH?What a shocking display of arrogance and hate in both their attitude and behavior. As a customer, Ive never been targeted by employees lashing out insults, and treated so discourteously, disrespectfully. What has the World come to?What possible justification is there for telling me that the stylist (whose job it is to cut hair) doesnt have time to cut my hair? And that for her (skill level), cutting my hair is too time consuming. Horse Pucks!And to tell me or any other customer to either pay more for the same service, or go somewhere else is also a bunch of rubbish!Furthermore, to embarrass and ridicule a client by summoning Kenner police for no apparent reason, is also a crock — and an absolute waste of their time and my tax dollars.My only threat to those in the shop was that I was going to post my review of Georgys on Yelp! I really love this shop in the heart of community in Kenner and beautifully decorated and as far as Im concerned the best hair products available, Aveda! And I love my hair dresser Marsha, she really takes her time and listens to what I want and style that Im trying to attain. And the staff are very friendly and do their best to accomodate my schedule. This is an excellent hiar salon.
