I have been a regular customer for the past 2 -3 years. Quality and consistency have gotten worse over the past 6 months. Past stylists (Michelle and Glendi) were great but both left. Last hair cut was mediocre at best. Today was the last straw and I will not be returning.

The Cinco Ranch location is lovely. The staff is caring and attentive to your needs. Appointments are available.

I just watched the video of the service I SHOULD have received. Shampoo? Nope, they didnt do that. Yes, had hair all over me for the rest of the day. Scalp massage? Nope, they didnt do that. At least only a very small amount of hair was cut and I can go somewhere else tomorrow.Edit…. Roosters reached out to correct the issue.

This place is awesome. My stylist EMMA was very pofessional and friendly. She greeted us as we walked in the door. Very pleased with the haircut . She listened to what we wanted and even repeated it back to make sure we were all on the same page. She suggested an adjustment that worked out perfectly. Price is super reasonable considering it is in the heart of Cinco Ranch. My new favorite place!

Debating to come here for a haircut? DONT! One of the best places for a haircut. I go in to see Nicole and she leaves no hair strand untouched. From the attention to detail, to the hair wash in the end, youll enjoy every minute. Just bring a thick stick, because youll probably have to fight the ladies away when you walk out the door.

Staff was friendly and I did not have to wait that long for a barber. Cut was really quick and I love the fact that they also do a head massage shampoo. The price was a little on the high side but the service was worth it.

They use to have great service. Still make you wear a mask. The rest of the state doesnt. Will be finding a new place to get my hair cut.

I’m a walk-in first time. Asked if I could get a haircut and a shave. The young lady reception after consulting with one of the two STYLIST (and I use this word reluctantly!) said that was ok. They finished up the two customers that were in progress, and I was ushered to a barber seat. Theresa proceeded with clippers and went through my head the way I clip my dog. She said I had real nice hair and nice curls. She finished and never faced me to the main mirror but gave me a small mirror. I asked to turn my seat so I could properly see my cut. There was hair sticking out and when I commented she said oh! Yes, let me take care of that. A couple of other problems she took care of was because she never listened to how I wanted my sideburns. Meanwhile my wife had called in and asked if they could also give me a facial shave, but the reception said they were too busy and could not. Interesting because they had told me they would. Next thing I know she proceeded to give me a hair wash. So no time for a shave but time enough for a wash that I did not request. She then voluntarily corrected a couple of flaws and shaved around my neck. I was very disappointed but still tipped her 25%. When I walked out, my wife said let me see, turn around. She quickly remarked, “she nicked you, your bleeding on the neck”. She also put some stuff on my hair without first getting my consent. She never acknowledged she nicked my neck. Needless to say, yes you guessed it, I’ll never go back.I’m changing my review to a 4 star because of the way the owner handled my original review of 1 which was for the haircut I received. When you have an owner call you the same evening with a genuine concern to find out what the problem was and to try and remedy the situation, I have to give the owner and his management style a 5 star. Nicole is awesome! I never have to worry with her cuts. She even double checks with me for approval after the cut. So worth the price of each and every cut. Love 😍 this place! I just moved to Houston and I’ve always been very particular on who cuts my hair. I lucked up when I went to Nicole cause she got me right! If you want an A-1 haircut please go to Nicole! She’s definitely a top tier barber!

Now I dont mean to be rash but I gave this place a shot clearly because I wanted a little more for a special event. Even got a beard trim and that was my mistake. I paid $50 for this and the service was okay and the cut was alright but my beard trim was nothing like the picture, looked lazy and was all one length where I grew my beard for months to do something nice with it. I usually go to sports clips and honestly i look better when i go there. I have to go home today and fix this $50 mess up. The only difference youll get here is a little fancier room and a straight blade which I use at home. I wouldnt recommend this place whatsoever. Save your money and either do it yourself or go somewhere with men who understand the sacredness of how much a beard means to a man. And just downright way overpriced for the cut. Sad man. Sad... (Edit: here is what i received and the other is what I had gotten. Its crooked and much shorter making it harder to fix... I said this and she tried to tell me that it is how it was on the picture... Honestly would have liked a shorter haircut if the beard wasnt going to match...

My fiance received a 35 dollar gift card here for a shave that was supposed to be over the top but instead he came home looking absolutely butchered. His beard is crooked and not even at all. Not to mention there is still hair on his cheeks when she used a stright razor. I now have to fix what this place couldnt do. Dont waste your time or your money here!

I went here today to get my beard cleaned up. Grew it for a month and just wanted the edges trimmed. Lady buzzed a whole bunch off and made me look like a backstreet boy. I told her I wanted it full.

I recently received a cut for myself and my 2 boys. We had been going to the larger sport chains with very poor results. This is the first experience with Roosters and we are very happy with the service we received. Tammy was very knowledgeable and very polite. We made a 330 appointment and were out of there in an hour or so. My boys and I look great. We will be going back. Fantastic job Roosters. 6 stars!

Roosters is a clean and comfortable place for guys and boys haircuts. They do a hot facial towel that feels great, it comes with a regular cut so you can enjoy it even if you dont get a shave. Like any barber shop the quality of your cut depends mostly on your stylist, so try to stick with one you like. Ive had two regular stylists here and they both do a great job. They also have Sunday hours which is a big bonus.

The Cinco Ranch location is always an enjoyable experience.. I wont go anywhere else. Highly recommend either Charisma or Michelle. The are both absolute professionals who will make your experience worthy of returning time and time again.

I have been going to another Roosters location for a couple years and have always been happy when them. Recently I came to this location and I have nothing but good things to say about them. My stylist engaged in pleasant conversation with me and it didnt have the awkward/forced vibe like it sometimes can be. I asked for her recommendation on what would look best on me and she was knowledgeable. I highly recommend this location and will return again.

Michael has been my barber for the past few months and I couldn’t ask for a better barber! He is able to cut my hair and give me the fade that I asked for. I highly recommend coming to Rooster’s for your next haircut!

Ms. Melissa has the skills to deal with a wiggly kid and still get his cowlick to lay down and he always comes out happy to be handsome like daddy. I am a black man with a very small curly Afro style. I have had Many Male Barbers who’ve cut my since I was born. I met Nicole, my First Stylist, at a previous shop and fell In Love with how she Has Mastered my haircuts... I say this because I can actually go to sleep...wake up and my hair looks practically the same as when went to sleep. And so when she quit her last job I followed her here to Roosters which a Better Fit for her....So Please Guys..If you want a Master Cut from Gifted Hands....That’s going to make you look Good...Ask for Nicole. You won’t regret it.

I have been taking my kids for haircuts there for the last three years now and have dealt with few different stylists.Overall the place and management is good. Watch out for Alexandria, she is a skilled stylist but not very friendly with kids and can be rude at times. We are done with her after a very uncomfortable session today and moving on to a new stylist. I did call the manager to inform, so other families with kids dont have to take the sarcastic attitude from Alexandria.

Great service. These people are not straight out of school, they have experience and I don’t mind paying a little extra for that.

This place is great and Nichole is awesome! I moved to Texas about 6 months ago and prior to that had been getting my haircut by the same barber for the last 6 years. Im pretty particular about my fades and was nervous I wasnt going to be able to find a good barber. I got lucky and wandered into Roosters and met Nichole and have been going to her regularly ever since. My appointments have always been on time, she does and awesome fade and gives great customer service. Always love chatting and joking around with her during haircuts. If you are looking for a great haircut and cool person check her out.

I have been seeing Nicole for my cuts religiously the last 2 years now. I used to live in Katy but, I have been living in Baytown (an hour away) for nearly a year. The facility is always clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I won’t go anywhere else for my cuts.

I went by there today for the first time. Interesting concept. I arrived about noon as a walkin and asked for a haircut. They said no problem and I could be seen. However if I wanted a beard trim it would be by appointment only and only at 1:00. This only takes 10-15 minutes so I said, really? I need an appointment to add in the beard trim but you can do a haircut? They proceed to explain how hard it was to go over my beard with a 3 guard and then wanted to charge out the ass for it. I walked out and went to boardroom down the street. Paid more about 15% more but they were polite, welcoming and it was worth it. I will never go back to roosters. Oh and did I mention that the place was empty and 3-4 stylist standing around watching TV. Now I know why.

A hot shave with a electric shaver...really i paid for this. something i could have done at home. have been to many barbershops in my life. and done many hot shaves and NO ONE HAS EVER USED A ELECTRIC SHAVER. i could do this at home with a hot towel and a electric shaver. i dont own a electric shaver. why dont i own a electric shaver. because the shave horribly..wont go back not worth the razor burns. what a joke

My husband came in the day before our wedding to get his haircut. It took almost 2 hours( yes that long) for Oscar to completely ruin his hair and beard. After asking for a 3 on the sides and a little of a fade at the neckline, oscar went to town and just replicated his own haircut. Faded so much on the sides you could see his skin, beard line cut 2 inches above the jaw where it looked completely idiotic, and shaved down the cowlick instead of cutting to it, so a huge chunk of hair stuck up from a very bald looking head. Chop happy was an understatement. His hair looked nowhere near how he asked for it. He didnt even look like himself, and we had our wedding, aka 100s of pictures to take, the next day. When we went to complain about it, five other groomers came to the store to get their opinions. One girl said that she would cut even more to create an optical illusion. In addition to the beard line being way too high, he cut a huge curve on the left side, making it high and obviously uneven. Cutting more hair will not fix the problem, and I did not appreciate the store making a commotion while Oscar just kept repeating I did what he said. The only reason the place gets 1 star, other than the fact that you cant give zero stars, is because they refunded the hair cut entirely after we said no to a 5$ off coupon (really?). The groom had a makeup artist too to fill in the line and his hair so he didnt look awful for his own wedding. Horrible experience. Go anywhere else.

Great service, wonderful vibes, always able to get an appointment when i need it. My hair is always the way i like it, and they offer a unique experience compared to most other salons or hair styling places. Completely worth every penny, and Im always satisfied.

I went here recently to get my haircut and everything went great. The cut itself was a little taller than I wanted, but for the most part it looked great. The only thing that I disliked was the price. When this location opened the price for a cut was $18-20ish. Now they do not post the price anywhere in the store so I was stuck with a $40 haircut by default. If you can afford that much every time the this is the place to go! But for everyone else, go to great clips or sports clips.

Pretty disappointed. I used to be a regular and thought I’d try it again. The haircut was ok but the shave was horrible. It really felt like she didn’t know what she was doing when I got home, I found several patches of hair that she missed. My face was covered in what looked like yellow dye. My sideburns had a noticeable half-inch difference in length. This was far inferior to the service they used to provide. I would have preferred to contact them directly with the feedback, but the contact portion of their website is malfunctioning.

Needed a new barbers after I moved away from my previous location and found Roosters by searching online. The prices are good, the service is great and its a clean and tidy shop. I dont need to go anywhere else now for my haircuts!

Nelis at roosters is the best. Ive tried many barber shops in my area and I pass up more of them, on the way to this place. Im really picky about my hair cuts, so took a while to find a place like this. I appreciate people who take pride in their craft and Neliss work reflects this. Wont go anywhere else, worth the price and drive. Book appointment online makes it easy for someone like me that works shift work and never had a problem calling to make appointment or to modify. Clean and welcoming environment with nice people. Like mentioned, its worth it, and Nelis never disappoints. Would give more stars if I could.

STAY AWAY!!! The management at this Roosters are incapable of actually running the operation. The app and their systems have known issues but instead of fixing them they say, “there is nothing they can do - they have to follow the computer”. So be aware reservations at this location MEAN NOTHING!!!GO ANYWHERE ELSE! Save yourself the aggravation - life is too short for their level of incompetence.

Finally a great haircut with rock solid service! Just to set the levels here; I am your typical I hate getting my haircut, its a waste of time kind of guy. Apparently that means I am your typical hate getting my haircut, its a waste of time...because I havent ever had a good haircut experience kind of guy. Tristan helped me get an actual style to my hair and made the experience great. He took his time, was maticulus in his efforts, and engaging in his conversation. Yes it cost $31 as opposed to my typical $15 haircut but I walked away feeling I got my moneys worth. Time wise I was in and out in about 30 minutes. I would HIGHLY recommend Roosters and would add that you should try and request Tristan to perform your services. Top notch all around!

Worst haircut ever, and worst service ever. The experience began with the front desk not believing i was at least 21 when i asked for a beer and making a big deal about it. Then i had to wait over 20 minutes after my appointment time to begin my haircut because my barber was sitting on his phone. Never was apologized to for the wait. Then I received the worst haircut of my life. I got scissor cuts all around and for some reason he shaved the area around my ear and did it WAY to high up. It looks terrible and going to take a long time to fix. The barber didnt even pay attention to how I style my hair and didnt bother to ask until he was done cutting my hair! Worst experience ever and now I have to live with bad hair for probably a month.

WAAY OVERPRICED. The staff was friendly yet there’s not a single BARBER in there, especially one that’s qualified to charge $30+ for a men’s haircut. My fade was low and average at best and my ‘stylist’ straight razored my neck only: basic. If your looking for a $10-$12 haircut and an $18-$20 priced soda or beer, go to Roosters, it’s definitely an experience...for your WALLET!!!

I was looking for a change in my haircut and from the moment I started explaining it my barber knew what to do and gave me helpful suggestions as to how hed like to cut it. It ended up looking exactly like I had pictured and ill definitely be going back.

Okay haircuts but never go here for your beard. When I pay that much for a haircut I expect A straight razor but that was not the case, and when I asked for a skin fade I did not receive one. Kind staff,but that isn’t what I paid for. Will not be returning.

Good little spot. A little pricey, but theyre transparent about that, so its not a reason to complain. I see a lot of negative reviews, but, Ive never had a bad haircut from Roosters. (Probably just some uppity negative nancies🙄) Theyre my go-to, if I dont feel like driving to my friends shop in Spring.

Not much experience took entirely to long.

We waited for over 30 minutes for an appointment. At first there were three stylists cutting hair but by the time I finally left, there was only one girl cutting hair. One had disappeared to the back of the shop and the other one was standing at the reception desk chatting with a man whos friend was getting his hair cut! She never spoke to us or told us how much longer it would be. There were two other people waiting to get their hair cut who had signed in. She seemed oblivious that we were waiting!Completely unprofessional. I wont be taking my son there for haircuts anymore!

The final straw - 5 minutes late, 5 MINUTES LATE, they cancelled my appointment by the time I arrived. Finally gave up and went to the Boardroom - more expensive but at least you get something for your money. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place and their retarded hairdressers.
