Great place to go for repairs!! My family and I are new to the Katy area and I was very skeptical about places to get my wifes Buick Enclave fix afraid that the service would be poor and over priced. But the excellent service Brad provided was AWESOME! Brad was very knowledgeable, transparent and communicated about what was needed to be repaired. The prices that he quoted for the parts and labor I went online and compared it with the prices in the area and his quote was a couple dollars under or spot on. This is now my go to place for any of my family car repairs. Very satisfied customers!

I hate auto repairs. Every experience Ive had previously has just been awful so it was nice to have a positive exchange for once. My car had some intermittent starting issues and they took good care of me. Because they couldnt get the car to NOT start it took a few days to figure it out, but I was very hesitant to take back my car until I had some answers. God forbid it stop on the freeway with my kids in the car or something. I was listened to, my concerns were addressed, and I felt like the prices I was charged were fair. Would recommend

So Ive been taking my jeep to Mikes for several years, then I purchased a Ford E450 diesel which I knew it had a steering leak when I bought it and was fixing to take a 2500 mile trip into the mountains, so asked Daniel if they worked with on diesels if its pulling an RV. He said yes so I told him to check the steering pump and serpentine belt because I was going on a long trip up 13000 ft elevation mountains and if the serpentine belt went out, my brakes, power steering, a/c, everything would go. He said I was wrong about that even though two other diesel mechanics said it would because I had hydro brakes. Anyway. Long story but he replaced the pump and the day I was headed to Colorado, the pump because it was the wrong size, shredded the belt. THANK GOD I WASNT COMING DOWN A MOUNTAIN IN COLORADO, I had to have it towed to a REAL DIESEL MECHANIC, and they refuse to refund me the $600. Good riddance. I will tell EVERYONE I KNOW to stay clear of these guys. I think when Mike the owner was running the place it wasnt like this but these new guys dont know their stuff. They are taking and hoping some day they will be real mechanics. I would not be here today had that happened in the mountains. Shame on me for trusting them. I was warned by others and I didnt listen. Hopefully this saves someone else $$ and lives. 😠😠😠😠😠

I was looking for a small fix on replacing the gear shift knob, but they don’t even want to try to remove the broken piece of that and instead sending me out. Please don’t go here and they don’t know what they do...

These guys were amazing. The most important to me was their honesty. They were very fair with me & kept me in the loop during the process of my repair.I’ve been screwed by far too many shops and it’s been hard to find great customer service like this with such honesty.Though the job wasn’t 100% complete (two grounds needed to be placed to prevent the oil & coolant light from blinking on the dash) In their defense, they pointed out the correction & would address it on my next appointment. I’m a very happy customer. These guys have won my business for the seeable future.

Ive taken my cars, trucks and van here for years and as far as Im concerned there isnt a better place. From the management to the mechanics, the team at Mikes Westside Auto is honest, fair, and talented. They always show busted parts that are removed and go into painstaking detail of why the work that they recommend to be done is necessary. If for some reason they dont fix it the first time (which is rare) they will work to resolve the matter quickly. I wish all mechanics were like this!

NEVER GO HERE!!!!A bunch of scam mechanics. My Brother brought his car in cause it was overheating. They replaced the spark plugs even though i replaced them a week before they took it in they even said they looked like they were new. They told me they drove it and it overheated and stalled it out.We spent $1300 for them to fix the problem and nothing got fixed. Still overheats so i took a look at it and turns out head gasket was blown now probably because they drove it hot stalled the car out. And to top it off when i was looking at the spark plugs and coils they didnt even replace them! Dont go here unless you want to get scamed

Mike Auto in Katy, Texas has the best customer service I have ever experienced. I needed to get a new battery for my car and called a few places but decided not to bring my car to those shops I had called. After calling about 3 shops, I called Mike Auto. Brad answered the phone and I knew this was the place to take my car. I am big on energy and I know when someone is being sincere and he was. I took my car in an hour later and they took care of me. Every customer that walked in was treated like family. Most shops take advantage of women but not Mike Auto. They made sure I knew what was going on with my car. They didn’t try to sell me things I didn’t need. I had some erosion on my battery wire but the mechanic soaked it in hot water instead of saying you just need to purchase a new wire. He saved me $300. The service from the time I walked in to the time I walked out was amazing. I am a repeat customer. Thanks Mike Auto.

Fantastic Customer Service! and they don’t try to con you like everyone else. if some work needs to be done on your car they walk you through what’s wrong and show you the damaged or worn pieces. they also walk you through why the price is what it is. i’ve gone other places here and there and always end up paying more money or the other places try to say something is wrong when it’s not. I drive past many other shops to get back to this one.

Went for a simple fix. When we picked up the car it was having a whole new issue. Brought it back and they fixed one thing that they messed up and were telling us it may be a different issue and we had to pay for that even though it wasnt doing that when we brought the car to them initially. Really honest place. Everyone is really nice and they do a great job.

I have been using these guys for 24 years and will continue to use them. Very knowledgeable and reliable and very pleased. One time when the air conditioning compressor when out in our mini-van they suggested having the dealer do the work because they have the specials tools and may cost less (which it did!). It is honestly like this that I keep coming back.
