My dads timing belt was due for replacement, (203,000 miles on his Saturn View, supposed to do it every 100,000) Anyway, they explained that there were other maintenance things that would make sense to do while you were in there, if needed. They estimated the cost of everything we may need to do, and began the work. Hours later they were done. The final price was about 500.00 less than what they had estimated! Awesome. Also, when they have worked on my cars, I really appreciate the attention to detail. My classic car especially, on which I know where every wire clasp goes, and I always find it happily put back together when I get it back. Drew, Rick, Joe, Polo, and everyone else there are always friendly and hard at work. The inside of the work area is truly impressive, especially for people who are into shops. I recommend calling in advance if possible.

Several of our cars have always been serviced at Rick’s. My son got a tow to Rick’s and left a key and note in the night drop box. The alternator had given out. It was fixed the next business day.

Ricks Hi-Tech Auto has great people, excellent and honest service. They fixed only what was needed, never pushing for unnecessary extra repairs. Just an all-around great experience for car repair. Its never fun to have to spend repair money but I trust Ricks to get it done for me as fast and as reasonably as could be imagined. Having a car repair place that you can trust is golden. Ricks is 24k. Most recent experience was a cost more than 37% cheaper than the rip-off artists near my house. Ill never go anywhere else.

I took my car in for an insurance claim repair. I was given an estimate for repairs to a front side strut mount. When the insurance adjuster asked the shop to provide evidence of the damage, the shop completely changed the estimate to something else. It definitely feels like they were trying to repair items that did not need to be repaired, and when asked for more details about it they changed their estimate and asked me to take my car somewhere else. Extremely questionable business practices. If you need an honest and reliable mechanic you will need to go elsewhere.

Theyre fast and they care about you and your family and car

I had an appointment at 3:30 for an alignment. I arrived 15 minutes early and was told no problem well have it done, we close at 5:30 p.m. I went for a 15 minute walk and when I returned I was told they got busier than expected and they could not do my alignment. I do not understand how I had an appointment and at 3:15 it was no problem and they got so busy in 15 minutes that they were unable to work on my truck. I gave them 2 stars and not 1 because at least they told me before starting on it.

I called Ricks about getting my timing belt replaced. The guy didnt even know where the timing belt was. Then he started telling me that they had to charge me a $105 diagnostic fee to determine why the timing belt snapped. I have a 96 Ranger and it hadnt been replaced since it was put on at the factory and Im not paying them $105 to tell me that the belt was old. Belts get old and wear out. Thats what they do.I dont like shady mechanics so I took it down to Old Katy car care and they did great work.

I drove a 1993 Camry 275,000 miles. Rick and his crew kept me on the road in that car for 11 years. They always emphasized quality and a clear diagnosis. If I still lived in Texas Id still be going there.
