Was lucky enough to get a wax appointment easily scheduled using the online system. Amy was beyond professional, timely, and made sure I felt comfortable with the entire process. This was refreshing after previous negative experiences with scheduling and results with a national chain. Amy is worth the few extra dollars for a great and easy service and comfortable process.

I had been using the same makeup for years and it just was not working for me. Amy took the time to talk me through the products she was reccomending as well as actually showing me how to apply them. I left the Skin Studio feeling confident in my own skin, which is exactally what I told Amy when she asked me what my goal was that brought me in. Cant wait to go back for my first treatment!

I just had my appointment with Amy this morning and I have been glowing ever since! I have been getting Brazilians for at least 7 years now and I have had my fair share of wax artists across the spectrum; but even the best can not touch the level Amy is at! I am sensitive and nervous by nature so I flinch very easily and never truly felt as ease while getting a wax always anticipating the next “rip”. Went here a couple of months ago before all of this COVID stuff. She was so sweet. Took the time to get to know me and my skin. I received the microdermabrasion treatment. She massages my shoulders up to my face. Felt really good. Plus my skin felt like baby skin. This was my first time getting that. I’m scared to go somewhere else not receive the same treatment. This place is definitely recommended. I am about to book again.

My skin was really bad, i mean terrible. I went to this lady, and she has transformed my face, i was waiting for the products to work, and they did, just give it time and be patient with it, she listened to mu frustration and really helped me get my self esteem back, always recommending it to anyone who ask.

I found Amy after recently moving to Kansas City, and I’ve had nothing but great experiences! She has a great personality and makes you feel comfortable as soon as you walk through the door. Visiting KC from the west coast, found Amy on the google maps app and got all the usual places done. Had myself an all around lovely and comfortable experience. As far as pain goes, I felt next to nothing and I never knew my eyebrows could look so damn good. I’ve been waxed around the world and this was 100% the finest waxing I’ve had.

This was honestly the worst facial Ive had. I had booked a facial with her a few months ago several days in advance. When I showed up, she said she didnt have the products she needed for the facial, and said she wanted to do a peel instead. A completely different service! I told her that was fine because Id already planned around this appointment. The peel wasnt particularly effective, and she was very pushy with the line of products she used. At the end of the appointment, she wrote me a product card recommending probably $300 worth of products, and I had to stick around for 15-20 min after my appt while she explained them all to me. I never asked for any of this and I made it clear that I already have a great skincare routine. It was very unprofessional of her not to call ahead of time when she knew she couldnt do the service I had booked, and the pushy product selling was really uncomfortable. There are many other spas in the Westport area that do a much better job - this place is probably the cheapest, but it really was not worth it.

Just moved from Dallas and Amy is SO much better than my last esthetician! She has an amazing bedside manner and makes you feel very comfortable. She also doesnt waste any time, which is great for my busy schedule. Her work is thorough, clean and she wont let you leave until youre satisfied with the work. She takes very good care of her clientele and I recommend her to everyone I know.

Where do I begin??I first made an appointment with Amy because she had great reviews. I settled on a wax and the rezenerate facial as my face was in severe need of some TLC. My wax was a Brazilian wax and it went amazing. The following day I had some redness but it is extremely normal and to be expected. Thorough the healing process I had not a single ingrown hair. Ive now been back for more and I could not be more pleased with my experience with my waxes Ive received. Shes great at distracting you from whats going and takes your mind off of all of it. The facial... That was a whole new level of bliss!! She makes sure you have the best experience possible. It was the greatest facial Ive ever received. I had a facial not even two weeks before, to which a technician told me I had hormonal acne and to stop washing my face as it was making it worse.. Amy got me started on the Image skin care line immediately and had me start exfoliating immediately as I had an entirely different skin condition. Its been two weeks of this product line and my skin feels AMAZING. It can breathe again! I no longer have the dull, dry, gross, sad looking skin that Ive tried for years to cover up. My makeup application is so smooth and dewy now and truly goes on effortlessly. Shes also excellent at after client care.. two days after my facial she reached out to see how my skin was reacting, honestly it was the first time any esthetician has ever done that! I cant begin to express how thankful I am Amy came into my life because I know I am so grateful for the care she shown my skin as well as teaching me how to care for it as well.Dont wait, you need to book an appointment with her immediately.

I love seeing Amy. I go to her for peels and waxing. At another salon I had a very bad experience in which my face was burned from a chemical peel. Amy renewed my faith in them by patiently explaining to me why that happened, how to avoid it, and shes the only one I go to see for that extra glow. Her waxing is quick and as painless as possible. I bought the Groupon for two 4-layer facials and just had my first appointment- wow! I was a little concerned on the table, I wont lie- it stings and feels a little rough, and I have white girl sensitive skin. But my skin is so happy right now! Aside from the understandable bout of nerves I had on the first visit(because Id never had a Brazilian),I have always been comfortable. She is also good about letting you in with a short notice. Also, worth mentioning, I have extremely sensitive skin, Amy takes care to ensure that she uses the right kind of wax on the right parts of your skin. I went to Amy with a Groupon for an hour 6 layer facial. For the first 30 min. I felt like I was stuck in an informercial. She ranted on about how bad the products I am currently using are and how much better off I would be with the products she sells. During the facial, she continued with the sales pitch. Whats funny is that I almost always buy a product when I get a good facial and I probably would have from Amy if not for the hard core sales pressure. She seems mad at the industry and I really didnt want to hear about it.

She had a bad day and got some bad news. So what did she do with it? She nearly cut my private area, and I immediately started crying and left the office because I was physically and emotionally hurt. She was cold and rude from the minute I made the appointment to actually sitting on her bed. She did apologize after, but it was traumatizing and it did not make up for the damage. I see all the positive reviews, but folks, I am writing this because I dont want anyone to ever go through what I went through.

Ladies. Put your big girl panties on. Im reading some of these negative reviews and thinking wow, these women must have been in a different dimension than me because this woman is great!. I went in for my very first Brazilian and immediately liked Amy. She is someone I would expect doing this kind of thing at a posh salon in New York or a bohemian spa in San Fransisco. I was impressed for good reasons, shes good at her job and really knows this industry through and through (so if she mentions a product, take it to heart shes trying to help you with your skin issues because she knows what she is talking about). She is a one woman show, its just her in her private room and I actually think its awesome not to have to deal with the typical spa environment which can be REALLY pretentious and stuffy. She provides a level of one on one service you just cant find easily. I like her straightforwardness and she knows that she is providing great service and expects the adults who come to see her to use their big girl words and communicate with her directly rather than leave a passive aggressive review on a website like Yelp (which is like the online mafia of review sites, lets be real people). I love that she encourages her customers to communicate and help make their experience as enjoyable as possible. Shes my kind of lady! Shes a true professional and I simply cant wait to see her again. She took all the apprehension out of the process and I feel like I found a gem. We started with a bikini wax and she gauged my reaction to move forward and that made me feel like she really cares. Then she gave me a little after care package with a free cupcake coupon from Polkadot cupcakery on Rio Grande (which was excellent BTW) and it was such a treat! Shes a gem and Im glad I found her.
