Very great place!! Every other nail place is nothing compared to this place!!! Every time I go my nails are perfect!!! That will not rush and actually do your nails right the first time and every time after that! Will not go anywhere else!!! Very nice and great customer service!!! Just got these done last night and was shocked to find that there is a bubble in almost every nail. I did the top manicure option but with just polish on my nails. Here is the final product. This was rather disappointing and not the quality I expected for the cost and based on other reviews. The people are great and kind. The pedi looks okay.

First time going and was fit in for a walk-in (normally appointments are easier).The Manager was the sweetest, held great conversation and full of knowledge. I love how he did my nails and took such great care of them!I would give 5 stars but when I took my daughter and her friend they (I feel) over charged her friend for a full acrylic set with gel polish.

The nail techs were really friendly and fun. They did a great job on our pedicures! When I requested (as I do at every salon I go to) she use a pumice stone instead of the cheese grater she told me they dont even have those graters in the salon...even better!

When I am in KC, I love to get my nails done at Waldo Nails. They do lovely dip nails that last, and I have also had a variety of pedicures. Professional, kind and entertaining techs make this salon experience great, and its super clean.

Had a very enjoyable experience here the other day. We went in for a bridal shower, there were 7 of us total, and they got us all in and out of there within an hour of getting there. Ive never been to a salon that was that quick before and was thankful for their efficiency. Was very happy with my dip manicure and all the other girls nails looked great as well. If Im ever in the area I would definitely go there again.

I normally have a good experience here, but this time I was not happy. I got a fill over a full set of pink and yellow ombre nails. The next day the paint chipped off in large pieces and was gooey underneath meaning the gel was not cured. They charged me 60$ and I gave him a 15$ tip. This is not good service. You can see the yellow on each nail and it just looks tacky. The guy did do a bit of freehanded painting quick looked nice, but over all I was not impressed.this is not even a week afterwards.

Just make an appointment and youre all set. Hard to time a walk in right but thats just because they are so good!

Clearly I got my nails done & was not happy with the service or prices but their reply talks about walk-ins! Having the wrong customer as well as not addressing there concerns is an indicator of poor customer service!

The best pedicure I have had in years. The owner is a sweetheart who remembered our names from when we called in. He goes out of his way to know everyone and keep the place clean and the nail techs are all great.

Best powder dip nails even compared to California salons. Great color selection. Great quality of product. Wonderful staff. Davy is very talented and his wedding nails are incomparable.

Mask policy is NOT enforced. I was happy with my nails, but took two stars off for this reason. There was a woman entered the store with no mask on. A technician asked her to wash her hands, so the maskless customer walked from the front to the back of the store, passing closely behind me. Then she was seated to get a pedicure in the chair closest to the manicure stations, still not wearing a mask. She was probably about seven feet from me for about twenty five minutes and I was really uncomfortable with that. Don’t advertise that you require ALL customers to wear a mask if that policy isn’t enforced. I liked my nails and the customer service, but I won’t be returning due to the mask issue.

I love coming here! Everyone is extremely professional and kind and they truly take the time to make your nails look amazing.

Went for the first time yesterday. Ive been nail shop hopping recently, trying to find a place for regular appointments and I might stay with this one. VERY neat painting, accurate to the reference photo, nicely shaped and she didnt tear my weak nails apart with a drill. great service.

The owner gave me a fill on my nails and while he was very fast, only 35 minutes, he was very short and and impersonable. They were very busy however he rushed people around like cattle. My nails look good however I value my me time, and getting my nails done qualifies as me time. I really wanted to relax more and get a hand massage along with my fill but that was not happening. Part of my experience of getting my nails done is I expect some luxury ambience and be treated like I am receiving something special, because getting my nails done is absolutely not necessary and it is something special. The aesthetic at Waldo Nails is not relaxing. I would return if I was in a pinch and really just needed to get my nails done quickly. Im still on the search for a nice quality nail salon that allows me to relax and take my time. Because time is the most precious commodity that we have.

I was recommended by a friend to visit V at Waldo Nails - and she did not disappoint! She did me up for my wedding a couple day ahead and did a fantastic job! Arrive reasonably early if you need to soak off color, makes for a quick appointment. Awesome color selection for dip nails.

I drove from Independence to get my nails done there. I have never had a bad experience getting my nails done there.

The first couple of times I came here were great. However, after my second fill my nails started cracking straight across and my acrylic would break off. When it happened once, I figured I was too rough or something. The second time, it happened when I opened a package of paper towels. The third, opening a water bottle. After getting three fixed, it happened THREE MORE TIMES and I decided it has to be cheap powder or something. I will not return. I’ve had my nails done the exact same way for years (tips, acrylic, gel on top) and have never had this problem. I will say the salon was great and fixed my three broken nails without requiring me to pay for a nail repair. It sucks because the salon is so close to my house and the nail tech I always saw is really nice and down to earth.

I have been going for about a year and a half and this is by far the best place I have gone in the Kansas City area. Their dip is fantastic and all of their technicians are amazing! I recommend the salon to everyone I know!

Today was my first visit at this salon. My first impression is wonderful! All employees were cheerful and very helpful. My nail tech asked me what I wanted and provided accurate results. He was very gentle and didnt push small talk, which is wonderful because conversation flowed smoother that way. Then another gentleman wrapped up my experience with a complimentary back/shoulder and hand massage while my nails dried! How thoughtful! Highly recommend!

We went to Waldo Nails prior to my wedding & they were so accommodating! We had 7 women getting pedicures & manicures, and we were done in less than 2 hours. Very efficient, professional, and so friendly! Would highly recommend.

I took my husband there for his 1st pedicure today. The entire staff is extremely nice and it’s a nice environment. . We were in and out within 40min. The woman that did his feet did an amazing job. We will definitely be going back regularly.

The best nail salon experience I have ever had. I work in the neighborhood and decided to get a full set and a pedicure. My nails came out just how I wanted them to and my pedicure was phenomenal for a basic pedicure. The prices were very reasonable and comparable to other nail salons in the area. I will be back in 2.5 weeks to get a fill and another pedicure. Highly recommend this nail salon for anyone looking in the kcmo area.

I made an appointment for a gel fill and a pedi and Waldo Nails did not disappoint! Davey did a fabulous job on my nails and Lisa made my feet and legs feel so, so soft and look just as amazing! This is definitely my new regular salon. The quality is great, the staff is very friendly, and the environment is so relaxing.

Love the dip done here. Usually fast, efficient, and can get you in. Not great about answering the phone to call for appointments though. Will ask if you have cash every time, which is less than desired, but overall a great place with great experiences.

My experience here was amazing. I previously got my nails done at a nail salon in north KC and I was extremely unhappy. I came here in hopes they could fix it... Turns out my nails were beyond the points of a quick fix. Davy gave me the best recommendations and gave me a fabulous new set of Dip sets at an amazing price. I am extremely happy.

I have been to a few different salons in the past few months and I didnt care for the service I got. I found Waldo Nails on Google and after reading the reviews, I had to check it out myself. I loved it! They take walk ins but I called and made an appointment. I am glad I did, because when they opened at 10 am, they had a full house; and the phone rang almost the entire time I was there with people making appointments. The gentleman who did my nails took great care of me and made sure my nails were shaped perfectly and exactly the way I liked them. It was reasonably priced, especially for the great service I received. They have at least 60 different dipping powder colors too which is amazing. Well qualified staff. I will be going back for sure!

This is the best nail salon in Kansas City. It is clean and beautifully decorated. Very relaxing. The nail techs are great and this salon uses quality polishes, gels, and all powders. They do not cut corners with off brand products that dont last they are providing true quality here. My nails look great for weeks longer than any other place I have ever been I have been getting my nails done regularly for at least 10 years and I have tried every place and this is my regular spot now. If you are in need of a really good pedicure come here and get their best one it is worth every penny!

Ive been getting Waldo Nails dip powder nails for several years now-- they are the best! Friendly, professional, and consistently excellent! I wont go anywhere else. And their pedicures last and last. Go there; youll be glad you did!

My first two visits with Mimi were great. The experiences were very relaxing, and I was happy to pay extra to have dip done. After that, I decided dip was too much to maintain, and I wanted to go back to acrylics with gel. I understand that this is a very busy salon, especially during the summer season. This visit started off well, but it went downhill from there. I loved the shape of my acrylics, and the owner/tech was working very fast. I appreciated that he was efficient. Then, he got up because he had another client come in, and another guy took over. He applied gel polish to two fingers and asked me to put it under the light, then he did the other three fingers. I’ve never seen things done this way, and I’ve been to lots of salons in KC. At one point, he got confused with which nails were already painted and which ones were left. He didn’t finish my polish, and another lady took over after that. I think the cherry on top was the fact that I got charged an extra $5 for the length of my nails. The first person never told me the length was extra, and he was the one who applied the acrylics and shaped my nails! It’s not that I can’t pay the extra money, but based on principle, you should tell people when you charge them extra ahead of time so they won’t be put on the spot at the cash register.I think the most humorous aspect of it all was when the owner made a point to say “we are very honest here (with our prices)”. Lastly, I’m not 100% crazy about my nails. My thumb acrylics are two different lengths, and not all of the nails are filed the same. I’m not sure I’ll be back until Mimi returns from her leave.

He was pofessional, detail oriented and timely with his work ♡ Dip nails are the way to go and in my profession, they last the longest. Im new to KC and this has been my favorite nail place Ive been to so far. I really prefer dip powder over gel nails and Waldo nails has been the only salon Ive found to offer dip powder. And they have SO many colors to choose from! Every employee whose done my nails has done a great job! If going on the weekend try to make an appointment because they get busy. I’m new to the area and needed last minute pedicure for friends wedding. this is close to my house so I called, got in right away and had a great pedicure from MiMi. Will definitely go again.

I go to Waldo Nails for the dipping powder and am always so pleased... until today. I had a woman I had never had before who made my cuticles bleed so bad theyre literally purple. Not to mention I have powder residue all over my fingers that wont come off after several washes and I asked for a matte top and its only half matte???

The people that come here and give high ratings must love mediocracy... I got a pedicure here today and it wasnt a good experience... First they try and up sell you by recommending a more expensive pedicure with promises of a longer massage and treatment mask... the lady started polishing my feet and I had to stop her and ask about my massage so then she rubbed my legs for 1 minute literally 1 minutes and it was over... Also they DO NOT remove dead skin from the bottom of your feet they just buff them a little and youre left with the same dead skin you started with!

The place was clean, had a good atmosphere, and the gentleman that did our pedicures really took their time and paid great attention to detail... Best pedicure Ive had in a while. Everyone was very nice. The salon is clean. I am solely writing this review based on my last experience. This is only my second time. The pedicures were both good. The first time my dip manicure was awesome. I think it was the owner hat did it and I really loved it. Tonight I went and had an appt. and another guy did my nails. Most of the manicure was while I was still in pedicure chair. No problem, I like the efficiency and to not be there for hours. My nails were very uneven, one hand had really long nails, the other not as much. I asked twice to cut them. He cut a tiny little bit and just proceeded on both times. They were filed and rounded so much that it looked awful on my hands. I just paid $40 + tip for my manicure and seriously cut my nails when I got home. I hated them that much. Please ask your customers what they want and listen when they tell you! Definitely will make an appt with someone else if I even go back.

If you want perfect nails, this is the place to go. Call ahead if you can. There is always a wait if you dont have an appointment. The service is friendly and the staff always remember your name.

Waldo Nails is a fabulous nail salon! The first time I went my gel manicure seemed to last forever. Brought my mom to get her nails done, too and she loved them! I would recommend this place to anyone!

Since i have went to this nail salon a couple of times i have had Luke warm experiences. The first time i went i had a good experience, the second time was terrible and my third time was to fix my second times experience. The second time i went the nail tech did a horrible job and was really unprofessional. So i made a post. The owner responded to the post as you can see at the bottom and asked me to contact them. I did such and he said he would redo my nails if i removed my initial review. I dont think asking a paying customer to remove their review is very professional. Its the truth and their personal experience. I did go and get my nails fixed and redone and they look amazing. a thousand times better then the first time. My only issue i had was that the owner was very rude and asked me multiple times in front of customers to remove my review. He was really aggressive even asked me to remove it as i was in his presence. i felt like he was trying to bully me into doing as he said and that was the last straw for me. It wasnt a relaxing or present experience and i will not be returning ever again.

I visited here for the 1st time because my nail technician, Vivian recently moved salons. Shes amazing and Ive followed her wherever she goes for the past 7+years. The salon was VERY clean and because I arrived late I got to see their closing process and was very impressed. The Ladies, Vee (she did my 3yr old polish on her nails and toes) and Mrs.Tina (sorry if I got that wrong) was absolutely amazing and friendly - sharing her Vietnam snacks with us. We will absolutely be back and loved the atmosphere and attitudes of all the employees. The clients were even very nice and chatty! I got a dip powder mani and basic pedi and my total was $90 and I left 20% tip. I hope they last 4-6wks - if so I wont hesitate to suggest this salon and of course my Vivian to everyone! Thanks for always treating us like family Vivian and picking the best salons to work in!

Really nice salon and the owners son is friendly and welcoming. They actually take their time to do your nails right (gel mani) and if they close soon, theyll still do your nails without rushing. Highly recommend this place!

Usually I have a great experience but today was pretty awful. Got handed off mid pedi and then my tech just left. No lotion, no flip flops no nothing. Sat there for a bit then put some lotion on my legs myself. Paid at the front with no thanks or goodbye. They were really busy so maybe that earns them a pass for the day but it may be a while before we are back.

Best dipping powder if you can stay on top of them and can tolerate rude, vulgar behavior. They did not realize I understood what they were saying, when they realized it they ignored it instead of apologizing. Tacky. Like children busted by a mom, but with no shame. Also the pedi is sub par.

Seriously best nail salon experience ever! The powder gel is awesome has lasted me 2 weeks and still beautiful! The pedi was amazing, I almost fell asleep in the chair. Then finally they massaged my shoulders while I was drying under the uv lights. Plus they are walking distance from my house! My new regular place!

I’ve been going here for years for gel manicures. They are the best! They last for at least three weeks. It’s very clean and the staff is very friendly. :) Not my favorite place for pedicures though... they barely massage your feet/calves. They always seem rushed, pedicure is over and done in 20 mins, max. That’s the only downside!

The best nail salon experience Ive ever had! The customer service at Waldo Nails is far superior to any other salon Ive been to. Ive had pedicures and gel manicures here and the experience and result always exceed expectations. The location is also excellent. I took a group of several friends here for a fun afternoon and we were all treated like royalty and everyone loved their manis/pedis.

Looked this up on the fly... not close to my residence nor job but for the wonderful service, reasonable price, attentive staff, and the cleanliness, it will be my go to spot. I was the last one out the door and these guys were cleaning so vigorously, def won me over:) try them, it wont dissapoint!
