Ive been training here for over 2 years. Great bunch of folks. For folks new to the sport, everyone at Wildfire is eager to help you learn jui-jitsu, whether youre looking for a new martial art or never done one before in your life. For folks who have some bjj experience, youll find plenty of blue and purple belts on any given night. Folks here are pretty chill. We want to learn jui-jitsu, how to fight, and have fun in the process.

The owner is what sold this gym for me. He is a professional who seeks to pass on his knowledge to EVERY member. What keeps me coming in is the dedication of our instructors to stay true to Gracie BJJ and the comradery shared between class mates. I am so grateful to have a place to learn this martial art.

I trained with Wyatt under Professor Graeber at Gracie Humaita. As a new “kid” and him waaaay more experienced, he took it upon himself to help me along. Being older than him, I was extremely humbled by his kindness, knowledge and experience of techniques. He was very meticulous when teaching me. Then, he opened his own school and knew immediately it would be a success! His gym is law enforcement friendly and everyone respects EVERYONE. He demands respect and integrity and gives it back 100%. Best money you will spend!!

I started BJJ a few months ago and training at Wildfire has been a blast. Wyatt is a great instructor and everyone there is really friendly, patient and open to questions. You can tell everyone there loves it and they want to help others progress. For a new white belt, those qualities are of upmost importance. Cleanliness is also held to a high standard which for any gym is a must. Can’t recommend Wildfire enough for anyone looking to start or continue their BJJ journey.

Wildfire is great because the instructors really care about making sure you understand the concepts you are applying and not just teaching “moves”. If you want to learn/get better at BJJ this is the place.

I am currently a member of this Jiu-Jitsu gym. This is my second year here and I have been significantly impressed with the compassion of instructors fellow members and training partners. Another BIG plus for this gym is (and I cannot emphasize this enough) that it is well maintained and clean! I started my Jiu-Jitsu journey a couple of years ago. I walked in and felt extremely welcomed. There is absolutely no gym intimidation. The owner was away on business for my very first visit but everyone came around and introduced themselves. I have met a lot of amazing and diverse people here which is why I keep coming back. If you are tired of the monotonous gym routine or wanting to find a new challenging hobby try this place out.

Wildfire BJJ is a welcoming environment and members and instructors strive to make people feel comfortable when they come in the door. The gym holds a high standard of cleanliness for the facility and participants. The instructors follow the expectations of Master Pedro Sauer and Professor Keith Owen by teaching and building on the basic foundations of GJJ and utilizing technique over strength. You will find instruction in basic self defense and competitive Jiu Jitsu if you drop in for a session.

Like so many other reviews for Team Rhinos Wildfire BJJ is home to a fantastic group of practitioners. While traveling for work, I dropped in for a guest roll. I arrived early and chatted with Scott about life and BJJ ambitions mentioning Im looking to work half-guard. Well since he was the teacher that night Brian and everyone else treated me to a full ninety minute master class on half guard entry, sweeps and reversals. They apologized for the unplanned structure of the curriculum but it was amazing as the purple and brown belts jumped in with invisible jiu jitsu all along the way and it just couldnt have been better. They have a good schedule and couldnt be any warmer and more welcoming. This would be a gym Id love to join if in the area, but with great parking, a central location and tons of windows Ill try to get back since they encouraged me to come back someday. Thanks to Scott and Brian for running a good/safe learning session and thanks Blake, Tre, Aaron, Josh and the other guys whos names I either didnt get or forgot, sorry! Keiths team is doing it right!

Such a welcoming place to train bjj and self defense. Great people, structured class and every technique was broken down to be learned and retained. It’s always a little weird walking into another gym, but everyone here was first class and even though I may never be back through the area they treated me like family. If you are in the area I highly recommend stopping by for an hour or so. Definitely worth the time.

I am biased because I am the owner, but I think we have a great team of instructors, a great environment for training that is safe, fun, structured, and of the highest quality. I have been training in various martial arts since I was 11 years old and this is the culmination of all of those years of experience. Come on in, try out a class and see if we can help you on your journey in martial arts!

Visiting KC for work. Wyatt at Wildfire BJJ was great. He was laid back, showed detailed techniques and took the time to help me refine some moves knowing I would most likely not be back. Everybody there was very accommodating. I highly recommend Wildfire BJJ to anyone passing through or who lives in the area.

Highly recommend this gym for anyone looking for Jiu Jitsu and self defense training. Great group of people to train with here. Supportive team atmosphere, laid back crowd out to help each other learn Jiu Jitsu. Wyatt does a great job at breaking down the lessons in both tournament and street scenarios all while keeping it safe, practical and fun. He makes you want to keep training. Youll feel welcome and a part of the team the moment you walk in.

Outstanding instruction and camaraderie with all students. Wyatt Tinnen provides a relaxed environment to learn Jiu-Jitsu. His deep knowledge of Jiu-Jitsu and other martial arts provides excellent technical training as well as real world defense tactics. As a father of daughters, BJJ training is required of them prior to dating and college and it is fun and rewarding to train with them.
