From the day I first walked in to PowerLife to my daily experience now years later walking in to PowerLife, it’s clear how strong and authentic the community here is. I love having this safe space to constantly challenge myself and meet new friends. They have a wide variety of class formats and times so I’m always able to find something that works for my busy schedule. 10/10 would recommend this amazing studio and community!
I recently tried classes at this studio and am hooked. I love the way I feel after my workouts. Everyone at the studio has been very welcoming and friendly.
Very nice studio! The environment was very clean and inviting. The instructors were very informative and kind.
Love this studio and the variety of classes they offer. The instructors are positive, inspiring and always inclusive to each person. Ive challenged myself in so many ways since Ive joined!
Raving Restore..OMG..Have not gotten out of bed before 11 AM. IM up at 5. AM my body feels as though I can dress and go to a job..havent worked in 5 years due to injury...I Stumbled unto a class randomly called RESTORE I have not felt this great in 15 years...pls offer more..This is XYZ unbelievable...Awesome..Instructor a pro
The vibe is cool here. The space is big enough to accommodate a large class and not be too cramped. The culture is cool and not high brow by any means. People like to do their practice, talk, and generally have a good time. It was great.
The best yoga studio is the KC area! All the instructors are welcoming and knowledgeable to every skill level. There are plenty of class options throughout the day and multiple studios in the KC area to choose from.
Great people, great yogis, good vibe. EXCELLENT MUSIC most/all of the time. Love to get my flow on here! Love that I can occasionally attend classes with friends who dont have a membership (through their free-class options). Wouldnt and couldnt go anywhere else.
Powerlife is my happy place! The classes and instructors are amazing! If you are looking to walk out of a class feeling like a more positive, bright person Powerlife is the place for you!
This is by far my favorite place to workout! I was debating whether the membership was worth it, trying out several gyms and other studios. There is nothing like PowerLife! I love the atmosphere, the people and the awesome workouts! I always take my friends to classes and recommend to anyone who doesnt know what they are doing at a gym and wants a good workout. Thanks for all that you do!
I love Power Life. The coaches are consistently awesome, its clean & bright, and the classes are excellent. No one is ever made to feel intimidated or liek the dont belong. Power Life is a gem in our community!
When you enter the studio the energy was great and good vibes; very welcoming. Attended the restore class on a Sunday evening - what the best way to end the weekend and start the week off. Felt so uplifted after class. Thanks Mike for a great yoga practice
I have been going to Power Life Yoga - KC (all 4 locations) for the past few years and have not faltered in my love for it. I usually get burnt out on gyms, but this one is so genuine and has the best instructors. They are so client friendly as well and do such fun incentive programs. If you need a community, this is your place.
All the instructors are great, especially Lisa. One small request....More heat please!
This place is incredible! I tried my free week in July and have been a member ever since. The instructors are amazing and the studio smells good all the time. Sometimes they rub your feet after class and they usually fan you with a towel at the end of a hard workout. This place is a 10/10.
Im new to town and was going to do the whole yoga studio shopping thing. Turns out I hit the nail on the head first try. Mike, Caroline, Jenny and every other instructor Ive met so far are not only incredible teachers, but invite you into their home with warm, open hearts and a can do attitude. Furthermore, the community atmosphere is the exact same way! Meeting people here is so easy and fun because everyone says hi, smiles and engages. I highly recommend this studio for both beginners and vets alike.
I had a bad experience at Power Life Yoga. My negative experience had to do with an instructor, Stefan, who was not friendly or professional. While I was preparing for a class, he came in the exercise area and stated that I had come too early for the class. He also stated that it was not allowed to have jogging jacket or iPhone present in the room. This was unexpected as for many past classes I had always come early to warm up, and Ive always placed my warm up jacket and iPhone out of the way in the corner of the room. No one had ever said anything about not being able to bring in warm up jacket or iPhone. For the class that I was in the process of preparing for, I had even asked a different check in instructor where to place shoes so as to not damage the wood floor. The instructor at check-in said nothing about not being able to bring in iPhone or jacket. In relating these facts to Stefan, his curt response was that we have signs up all over the place, above the urinal and on the door. I explained to Stefan that my focus is always on the workout - that I hadnt noticed the signs. In the exchange, there was no welcoming introduction from Stefan - no handshake, no words such as nice to see you, or glad to have you in the studio, no friendly small talk that would show appreciation of the customer. All of a sudden there was just this person in the room who I had never met before informing me of how I was in violation of Power Life Yoga policies. The whole experience made Stefan come off in an unfriendly way. As a result of this attitude, Ive asked for and received a full refund of fees Ive paid to Power Life Yoga. My time is too valuable to be around rude people. Im a member of a couple of other yoga studios in town that have cordial staff members. Going forward, it would be nice for Power Life Yoga Staff to be trained on how to treat a paying customer. Some recommendations: 1) Be nice and show appreciation of the customer. The instructor in question didnt have one positive thing to say to me, only negative. Related to his comments about coming early for a class, Ive actually called Power Life Yoga to ask them if there is a problem with this if not interfering with a previous class. Their response was that there is no problem. So if this is the case, one has to ask why the instructor brought up the topic with me in the first place. 2) Have all instructors on the same page when it comes to what can and cannot be brought into the yoga room. When I ask a check in instructor where to place shoes and nothing is said to me about not being able to bring in iPhone and runners jacket, and then another instructor later comes in and tells me how Im in violation of policy, this is contradictory and not a professional and satisfactory way of dealing with a customer. 3) When valid issues are raised related to poor customer service, to follow up in a positive way with the customer to let him or her know how these issues will be rectified.
I dropped into Power Life Yoga this past Sunday while I was in town visiting my sister. Ive been looking for a Kansas City yoga home for a while, and this studio is great! They were extremely warm and welcoming, and the class size is nice and not overwhelming for an outsider. I am experienced in power yoga, and loved Andreas class. I also met Erilyn, the barre instructor, and she was so sweet. Next time Im in town Ill be sure to take her barre class. Thank you for the hospitality!
If youre new to yoga, this studio is great! All levels of practice are involved and the participants and instructors create a welcoming atmosphere and constructive teaching.
I wish i could give this wonderful place more than 5 stars!!! it is a little on the pricey side but 100% worth it!!! the teachers are all amazing and so kind and the studio is always clean and well kept. i recommend power life to any person that will listen to me!! my favorite part of my week!!
I absolutely loved my experience at Power Life Yoga! From the second I walked in, I felt welcomed. I was nervous and didnt know what to expect but the front desk person did a great job of explaining to me what to do and what to expect. Once in class, the instructor made me feel successful by offering modifications. I didnt feel like I had to be yoga-body perfect. Thank you Power Life.
I absolutely love powerlife! I’ve been taking classes here for 3 years now, and am amazed by the transformation I’ve gained physically and emotionally. I initially was drawn to class because of the welcoming and energetic teachers, and continued to come because of the energy I felt after leaving a class. Powerlife is more than a place to workout, it truly is a home away from home.
The best atmosphere for working out! Staff is amazing and so kind. The classes are challenging and so rewarding. My favorite workout studio I have been to!
Power Life has been a wonderful addition to my life. Since my initial visit during the Grand Opening, I was amazed by the positive instructors and the fun and energetic classes! The community at Power Life kept me coming back and continuing to get more and more involved. I highly recommend PLY to anyone and everyone- whether theyve never done yoga or have practiced for years!
Power Life is fantastic. Ive been around town at a few different studios and kept coming back to this amazing place. The community is so inviting and the instructors are so helpful and encouraging!
Great locations, good variety of classes and excellent teachers. Will never go anywhere else!
Very different from what I am used to but I loved it!
I love how it provides such a great atmosphere for beginners and experienced yogis alike! Such an awesome community!
If you want a challenging workout that will make you sweat, this is the place. They have a full and well attended schedule. There is the flavor of yoga in all of the classes. Check this place out.
I would honestly recommend anyone to Power Life. It has changed my entire outlook on working out. The teachers and staff are amazing and the community is even better.
Power Life Yoga KC is managed by the amazing team of Michelle and Jenny and staffed by yogis and barre instructors who will make you feel like you are home and supported from the moment you walk into their gorgeous, modern, most amazing spring wood floors your feet will ever have the pleasure of setting foot on studio. A whole week free of classes is just the start of the love they will push back onto you as a member there. You have to try it!
For any individual that is looking at trying yoga for the first time or has years of experience, I would highly recommend Power Life. The teachers are all passionate about teaching which lends to thoughtful and challenging classes. They have plenty of different class formats which allows you to vary your workout. And as a male who has lifted weights since high school, even the sculpt classes with light weights is very tough. Its the number of reps that get you. You can try a week for free too with no obligation.
Traveling through KC and decided to drop in for a class. Found the atmosphere way over-commercialized. They try to add some yoga quotes in an effort to go for authenticity. But its a thin veneer, and you can see right through it to the over-commercialization of the practice.
I joined the PLY community several months ago and could not be more thankful for taking this step. Truly life-changing!
Great place to have a large amount of classes to chose from daily including weekends!
Great Location, right across from my work on The Plaza. As a non-flexible and non-athletic person I thought this might not be for me. I was wrong and very rewarding experience to working towards my goals.
In my opinion this is the best work out in town. Thanks Jenny, Michelle, Stefan, Rebecca B, Amy M, Bethany, Heather and more...After reading that previous review- I am so sorry William had a bad experience. Stefan couldnt be a more kind and humble human.
Sculpt class was intense, good blend of cardio and hiit
The animals is not food! End the human is not predator!
Exceptionally balanced. Temperature is perfect for the body to detox, practice is the right speed to prevent injury to the body, and teachers are mindful. Namaste Power Yoga. Review submitted from a runner of 3 years with 15 years experience as a yoga student.
My orthopedist told me three weeks ago I could no longer run and needed to find something else that also worked my core. I was resigned to just do yoga on occasion until Power Life came to town almost as if sent by Lord Krishna just for me. A few days after that doctor appointment I decided to use my free week of yoga and try the only available class when the kids and ex wife/girlfriend are asleep. It had a heinous sounding name like heated power cardio sculpt yoga. I hated it. I was pretty sure I was having a heart event. Then the rest of the day I felt 18 again so I went back every day that week and now Im hooked. My knee feels better and Im doing cardio for the first time in 2 years and sprint type cardio for the first time in 15 years. It is the 3rd hardest thing Ive ever done and in a lifetime of truly awful decision making this has been one of the best decisions of my life. It has revolutionized my life and I have so much more energy and my mood is elevated all day. I even have energy to do chores after work now so my ex wife/girlfriend is also happy about that and the better moods of course.
I usually walk out wanting to shout out to the world how much I love PLY and their Cardio Barre and Sculpt classes.... fast-paced ass-kickings that get you everything you need (cardio, strength, stretch) in 45-60 minutes. Great work out for people who want to make the best use of their time at the gym!
I 🖤 Power Life!
Amazing atmosphere!!
