Great service from Daniel and his team. Didnt have an appointment but they still got me in and out in less than an hour. And they didnt try and sell me a bunch of stuff I didnt need. They went over their courtesy inspection and gave me a couple of small issues to monitor. And that was it. Very pleased with my experience.

Daniel and his team (Scott and Chris) created the friendliest, most professional, kind and comfortable auto maintenance experience thus far in life. Ive had terrible experiences in the past, as well as decent ones, but never a customer service experience like the one I had on Troost. Daniels vibe put me at ease and allowed me to trust in his teams assessment and what was in my best interests. I wasnt alone- while I was there I watched customer after customer be treated truly like a family member. Old people, young people, people of color, and members of the LGBTQ community were all customers during the short window of time I was visiting this location. I dropped some bucks, not gonna lie, but they gave me options and a plan to take care of the issues if finances would have been an issue. Again, thank you Troost team- honestly, if I said cant wait to see you again, Id be lying because I dont need anymore car issues, but if I do, I know the only place Ill be going.
Great service. The counter guy and technician were amiable. I simply didnt like waiting 45 minutes for the technician to start on my vehicle. Nor the extra 35 minutes to get my vehicle to get serviced. All for a simple oil change.

I got new brakes and pads and brake fluid flush at another Midas a couple of days ago and drove into Kansas City for vacation. During the drive I noticed everytime I braked the steering wheel vibrated and when I drove over the slightest bump, the front end rattled loudly.I called three Midas in the KC area. Two were booked through the weekend and couldnt get me in, but this one was able to squeeze me in Saturday morning. Drove by, and the manager himself drove my car around, and took at look at the wheels and called the Midas where I had service done.It was missing the two brake pins - he didnt know if the other place forgot to put them on, or if they were loose and fell off on my drive here.He called around the KC area to find the pins and was able to locate one in Olathe, and may have had another one but had to visually look at the pin in Olathe and compare to the other to see if it was a match. So he drove to Olathe to get it, and I went to Starbucks to do some work.He called me a couple hours later and said that the pins were a match and was able to get them put on and didnt charge me for the pins or the labor.I was impressed with their ability to not only get me in on short notice, but that the manager himself test drove my car, looked at the brakes, did the calling, and drove to get the pins.A shame I dont live in KC as I would use this Midas as my go-to car work place. The customer service is amazing.

Scheduled an oil change the day before I went in, I had a coupon and all due to their mailer. I arrived and within minutes of being there my car was already in the bay getting serviced. I mentioned things about my car to the Service Manager prior to them doing their inspection and changing the oil. I was never once upsold on anything, I was asked what I wanted to do when it came to the type of oil I wanted to use, there was no pressure. I might have been blessed because my car is taken care of. I was quoted a 45 minute time frame for oil change, inspection, and wrap up. I think the total time was actually about 37 minutes from walk-in to check-out and walk-out. I only interacted with the gentleman working on the inside but he was exceedingly respectable, informative and inquisitive. I had concerns and questions about my maintenance on my car and he had the answers for everything with no questions asked. Ive worked in this industry before and was more than adequately taken care of and valued as a customer. For anything I am unwilling to do on my own vehicle, this is the shop that I wholly intend to go back to. Exemplary in all aspects and honestly deserving of an above 5* rating. Thank you Midas, exquisite job, I am exceedingly pleased and will be back to continue to do business with this shop specifically.

We took our daughters car here in October of 2019 for brakes.. and a little extra.. But the car was making noise and we bought it back last week.. warranty good!! Thank you Midas!!
Wrong diagnosis and they did not agree to re-evaluate my vehicle since it was their mistake. Also, they balanced three of my vehicles and the balance stickers came off immediately after I left their shop and they refused to put a new one on. A shop must clean the wheel first so there is no oily substance before they put the balance stickers on there, however they did not. When a shop makes a mistake, they should be fixing it and making it right with their customer, however this shop refused to do so on multiple occasions. I will be reporting this incident to Better Business Bureau as well as sharing it on my facebook page, instagram page, and word of mouth in the community. As a business owner myself, I know how important it is to make things right with customers, especially if you are at fault. This is highly critical to the success of the business.

Dwayne had his tech spend several hours investigating an overheating problem on my 2006 Nissan Pathfinder. He conducted pressure tests, chemical tests, visual and mechanical inspections, and informed me every step of the way.Ultimately it was concluded my problem is most likely a head gasket failure, but because they couldnt offer 100% diagnostic certainty, they didnt charge me a dime for all their hard work.Thats A-1 integrity. Made me happy just knowing there are guys out there in the automotive repair industry so honest and generous.Dwayne was also a pleasure to chat with during my roadside layover. Came in at 4pm due to an exhaust noise on my move from Ames IA to Las Vegas. These guys took care of the problem and got us back on the road in an hour. Great service from all, highly recommend.
Too slow
Agree with a prior post/assessment regarding this shops incomplete work. I had been taking my car in here for the last few years, but recently had brake work done for a squeaking noise. They said I needed new front brake work so we went ahead and did that and the noise still didnt go away. Their technicians next diagnosed that I should replace the rear strut assemblies. And I was very hesitant to go on with this work because it just didnt make any sense?? They could hear that the noise stopd immediately when you hit the brakes? Thank goodness I went with my intuition and took it to another garage, where they solved it with, of course, remediating the very brakes I just had worked on by this shop. They said the brake pads did look new so this shop did replace them but the details parts with putting back on was lacking. The brake was missing parts which would upon release would reset it back to an open/clean position. I will no longer be taking my car here.

The sketchiest shop in town. Went in last March about a whirring noise upon acceleration and deceleration. Upon speaking with manager Dwayne, I requested getting in with a mechanic so that we could drive and hear the noise. Instead, my car was placed on a rack and I was told I needed four new brake pads. After being coerced to sign a nearly $1000 agreement with Afterpay and having my car fixed, I drove off the lot to of course find that it was still making the noise. I went back into the shop immediately and confronted the manager, who I made cancel the Afterpay agreement and was then told I would be getting the brake pads for free. There was no mention of the rotors and no service provided for them. Today, I was told that I am driving on essentially no brake pad at all after having issues with my rotors for the past week and a half. Not only did I almost get charged for a service I didnt need, but for a service that Im certain now was not even provided. A shameless establishment that has no problem scamming women, veterans, or otherwise.
My husband and I are long standing customers at this location. Over several yrs, weve had six different vehicles maintenance here without issue. This time we came in for a brake replacement and a diagnostic for brake system lights on a 09 Dodge Grand Caravan. Dwayne and company were very helpful, explaining everything. In the end we wound up spending what we wanted to, without additional or extra surprises. I would recommend anyone give these fellows a try.
I absolutely LOVE Dewayne and his crew. I have had many experiences with local car repair shops, and this one is by far the best. I was given great customer service, education on my car issues, and a buffet of options on repairing my car ON THE FIRST TRY. Better double check the work they do here. I can’t count how many times I’ve had to take my Jeep back in to adjust the brakes, or make sure they put the steering stabilizer on correctly, or most recently charged me for an alignment they obviously didn’t do because the tie rod sleeves are still seized now that I’m having a different shop work on it.
I have an extremely busy life, so I generally dont take the time to write reviews unless I am strongly moved by something one way or the other: I have to really love it or hate it. This one is a love story -- admittedly a dull one, devoid of drama or sex.About five years ago a good friend recommended this shop to me. Im usually a bit wary of large chains, but my friend is something of a demanding cheapskate (I mean that in an affectionate way), so I figured what the heck, Ill give it a try with some small-ticket repairs and maintenance items.Well ..... Im a believer! They are honest, fast, communicative .... and Im often surprised at how low the bill is (even on complicated, relatively major jobs).My entire family has been taking our many cars (both foreign and domestic) to this Midas ever since, and none of us has ever had to return to the shop to have something redone or adjusted.The staff are friendly, efficient, and they actually seems to be happy working there. They always patiently explain the diagnosis and what it will take to fix the issue.Very importantly, we have NEVER felt like they were trying to sell us anything we didnt need.This place is a real find! :)
Matt was the technician that performed the imspection on my car. He is extremely thorough. He showed me exactly what was wrong with my car and I could physically see the car was leaking from the rack & pinion, Matt along with his store manager have literally saved me over a thousand dollars on a car that I was interested in purchasing. I am now armed with some solid information that has definitely changed my opinion on proceeding with this purchase unless these issues are addressed. Thank you Matt!

I have been here twice now. The first time I needed to get a new muffler on my truck to pass a state inspection. It was VERY last minute and I wanted it done within 24 hours, they had appointments scheduled all day but told me to come in first thing in the morning and they fixed it right away. They were fast and friendly. I was just in to get an IDOD on my car and again, so fast and everyone was so kind. I will definitely recommend them and will be returning to them!

The new manager doesn’t have good communication skills. My family has been going to this Midas for many years but we won’t be going back until new management.

Very friendly and efficient guys and HONEST, had to take my car to get some fixes done to pass an inspection I’d already failed, and they told me that some of the things that failed didn’t even need to be fixed. They did good work, replaced my brakes and back rotors, changed my brake fluid, replaced my tires, and fixed my sway bar links. Only negative (why it isn’t 5 stars) was that I had to take it back once to properly seal the brakes to get rid of some squeaking, and had to take it back a 3rd time to fix the alignment they did. But since then my car has been running great. The manager, Ryan, even cut me a deal on some small things to help out since I had to do so much at once. He easily help me set up a loan to get all my fixes done, and every time I took my car in he had it done before closing time. Great place! Will be back for future repairs and maintenance:)

Very helpful and didnt try and screw me over. I came in because I heard a loud noise under the hood. They diagnosed it as a loud fuel pump. They said the noise I heard was normal but if I wanted to replace it with a new part it would cost roughly $1100 with parts and labor. I am very grateful for their knowledge and expertise and that they didnt charge me for a service that I really didnt need.

I dont have the greatest knowledge when it comes to cars. I thought I needed something done (because another place told me I did), but Louis was honest. He explained why I didnt need it, even though it couldve meant a sale. The teams honest, the stores clean, and they do quality work. Ill be coming back.
Dwayne took GREAT care of me. I usually don’t have a good experience when I go to Midas. My original appointment I actually made with a different machinic, but after some miscommunication about what I was needing, I had to go else where. I called Midas reluctantly, and he told me he could get me right in. I was able to get everything I needed done and he also told me about easy pay which helped a lot. I spent a few hours in the lobby waiting and I listened to his interactions with other clients and it was 5 ⭐️. I will def make this place my go to place again to have my car serviced. He went above and beyond to accommodate me with my car needs. And the technicians here are also the best and very knowledgeable about cars. I would recommend them to anyone.
The manager was the only good thing about this place. They are OVERPRICED for repairs. I was able to find the exact same part i needed for 50$ and i was quoted almost 200$ JUST FOR THE PART!!! This was my 3rd visit to this location in less that 60 days for simple breaks and rotters, spent almost 700$ to find out the break caliper is now needing replaced which is gonna cost another almost 400$!!! This is why people go to the mom and pop shops because you guys are price gouging!!!

Great honest guys that really understand how to diagnose most issues and give you options that keep you budget in mind. But if your really stumped and want to fix it yourself they are fine with just diagnosing it for you and if they arent busy they showed me how to do a few things to save a few bucks! I trust these guys.

Dropped off car was quick and easy
Ive been coming here ever since I relocated to KC for school. Always super easy to schedule an appointment, and they get me in and out as soon as possible (you never see mechanics lazing around). Not being knowledgeable in anyway about cars, I appreciate how I never leave without at least one staff member explaining exactly what theyre going to do and why it may or may not be necessary. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because even with having an appointment, there is still a significant enough of a wait that I have to schedule a friend to pick me up while my car is being serviced...kinda loses the point of an appointment. But this is minor when I know myself and my car are getting the care we need! I highly recommend coming here if youre in the area.
Wow!!! Jiffy Lube wanted to put the highest grade oil in my car for $90 bc they didnt have the blend I needed. Midas was outstanding. In and out in 20 mins..super helpful...and friendly. I just found my new spot. Highly reccomend
Misleading service availability
Made an appointment to have oil changed put in the details that the oil plug was stripped and I had bought a new one. Next day go to appointment just to be told if I didnt agree for them to replace oil pan plus labor. Nobody said that when my husband went up to the troost location the day before when he didnt know I had already made an appointment. What it was is the manager seen a woman and thought I was stupid and going to agree to all that. He wouldnt even attempt to do it unless I agreed. I think that is wrong and discrimination against women. So if I could I would put a negative star. Been there before in a whole other car and they did it no problem I get this man and I never even made it in the door.

Talked with Dwayne about a used car I was getting checked out. He walked around the car and showed us where damage was and explained pricing and saved me from getting a wrecked car for twice the price. 10/10 would get a pre purchase inspection there again. Very knowledgeable.

Horrible experience, I waited in that lobby a total of 7 hours over the course of 3 days because every time I left there was something else that was wrong. Finally, I just decided to give up and accept the losses. And I have seen someone whom I assume to be the owner interact with his employees at the front desk and it is just belittling words and an irritated tone from him.
Daniel had great customer service skills and was very helpful . And the mechanic Eric was fast and good at what he does! I will be doing business with them again!
Very poor service. Come in to have A/C fixed. Charged for diagnostics and recharging the refrigerant. Still have problem next day, shop want to charge for diagnostics again even though the original diagnostics was wrong and I have to pay for the incorrect solution. Zero star

I hope tomorrow I can post a better review but not today. My husband was repeatedly told that if I got my SUV towed there theyd have it done today. I could get a discount somewhere else if I waited 2 days but my husband didnt want me to have to wait. I told him to call back and make positively sure they have the part and can really do it today or Id rather wait and save the money. That was 10 a.m. Tow truck got it there and I left with an appt and came right back not gone long.Its now 5:35 p.m. and Im no longer there after seeing several customers come and go having their vehicles attended to. Some not having appts. The guy said sorry, we got swamped after you were here. Ok but the keyword is after. I understand the ppl with appts of course but after being back ppl came in with no appts as well getting serviced all the while being told over and over Im next, Im next. Im still not next and now at home.
