So I lived at these apartment complexes for 6+ years. they were always very nice and understanding. The neighbors were awesome and i have no negative things to say about this place. The pool was great so that would be the biggest thing I would recommend. It is very close to the highway and from what i hear from some friends is that they are building a lot of items nearby at the next highway exit. Always recommend. The move out process was good, nothing to complain about, did not get deposit back but that was due to my own doing with the damages.
Planned on moving here, payed the deposit and signed paperwork besides the lease 2 months prior to move in date. This included the first and last months rent for $853. Almost two weeks prior to the move in date. (Pam) The manager tried to present me to sign the same paper work and tell me that they want to pay first, last, and second months rent out the blue for around $1,500. Stopped by to talk, but she wasnt there. I spoke with her employees about who were nice and courteous. I left them the original document the Pam signed as well as I for $853. Hours later she gave me a call, not even 20 seconds in the phone call she catches a whole attitude I dont care what that document says or what we signed that was 2 months ago. You either pay the $1500 or you can find another place to live!. I found it amazing that a discussion about what we original signed is not being upheld could lead to someone wanting to make this personal by raising her voice. I asked Pam for her managers phone number and gave them a call as this is unaccusable. Management gave her a call and she called me back saying they are willing to uphold what we originally signed for. By then its was to late. If had any issue if I moved in, this is the type of management qualities I would be dealing with and it certainly was not worth. Also Pam, when you mentioned that I was playing around and this should have been done months ago. I clearly spoke to your employees about Family issues I was dealing with that I had to take care off. For you to make it seem like its some sort of game when you dont know anything is disrespectful. You dont live my life or anyones elses to know what people are dealing with the world.
Quiet place to live, our neighbors are great, and we feel safe. There‘s a lot of confusion/miscommunication that happens within the office, which leads to confusion/miscommunication with us. We’ve also had multiple maintenance requests that they tell us can’t be fixed due to the age of the apartment so that was disappointing.
Resident for 2 years. Tried to relocate to one of the townhouses for more space, but the demand for those was high and we couldnt snag one by the time our lease ended. Decided to move elsewhere for more square footage. I ended up missing Tanglewood a lot! Great property and community.
I love living here at Tanglewood! I moved in to my unit in September and so far Ive had NO issues with anything. Never lived in an apartment and not had problems with my unit or landlord before so this has been a great experience!! Beautiful and spacious apartments in a very quiet, safe, friendly community. Easy access to laundry, highways, local shopping/dining, etc. Residents have been very friendly to me since I moved in. Every time I visit the office the staff is always engaging with me and very helpful. I have been really happy since moving here. Especially knowing that Im living somewhere safe. Living here has been a dream. 5/5!
I really enjoy living here (about 2 yrs now). I love having a fireplace and patio, and its pretty energy efficient. Cons: paying for water/sewage and no in-unit laundry or hookups. Pros: Feels pretty safe, great office staff and maintenance crew, space for your $ is good, nice area and close to highway.
My 2 roommates enjoyed our experience a lot. Originally it was just supposed to be me and one other roommate. We planned on getting a 1 bedroom and I was just going to set up a space in the living room. However, our other friend that we werent expecting to move in with us until later decided to move up here right after we signed the lease for the 1 bedroom. Luckily the office staff worked with us and let us move into a 2 bedroom instead. They were very cordial and understanding. Also, Laurel was always very nice and answered any of questions that we had and addressed possible concerns. We also never had any problems with our neighbors. There were several kids living all around us and we never heard any of them through the walls. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience and I wish they had 3 bedroom options because we definitely wouldve stayed.
Nice place to live. I can rarely hear my neighbors. And despite the fact that they allow smoking in the buildings I cant smell neighbors smoke inside my apartment. A well managed and maintained property.
I just moved in so I might be premature in writing this but, so far Im impressed. Im a little disturbed about the other reviews Ive been reading but, so far, the office staff have been a real joy to work with. I agree, the deposit was very large and Im hoping too that someday when I leave, Ill get it back. When I moved in the dining room light/ceiling lamp wasnt working and the smoke alarm in the hallway wasnt hooked up. I talked to the office and maintenance came over that same day and fixed both. The maintenance worker was VERY nice and he told us that they strive to respond to calls the same day when possible or no later than the second day. I hope that all continues to ring true. So far, to me anyway, so good. I have a one bedroom and I LOVE the size of the rooms...it feels homey and comfortable to me.
My husband and I have absolutely loved our time at Tanglewood. Very friendly management that are easy to work with, have always been quick with maintenance requests, and we have had the best experience living here for the past year. They own and maintain very clean and modern apartments and townhomes. We will be recommending Tanglewood to anyone!
My wife and I moved up here from Springfield. We absolutely love these apartments! Management is awesome, neighbors are nice, and rent isnt terribly high. Fair for the neighborhood and what you get. Highly recommend these apartments.
Ive been here for 3 1/2 years and its has been safe and easy access to freeway.very quite. The staff here has been friendly and professional. The maintenance crew fixes problems quickly and done the right way. Possibly the best complex ive ever lived in. Utilities are not expensive. Price is .Is very good.
The staff has been very friendly and anytime we needed something fixed they have been right on it. Ground crew clears the sidewalks and drive of snow as well as put ice melt on sidewalks also clear the leaves in the fall. Close to shopping, Post office, Gas station, Laundry mat. The swimming pools are nice and relaxing during the summer months.
I know the place, its great. Very nice. Heard the manager is a cop-caller tho, but dont quote me on that. It came from other sources. Either way, the apartments are very well kempt and cozy.
Awesome staff, quick maintenance, convenient location. Couple things to consider the windows are old and hvac system is loud
The apartments look nice but thats the only thing thats nice about it.. The management is horrible they dont communicate with each other.. She even hurassed us at the pool saying we werent on the lease when we had been on a lease for 7 months it was very unprofessional.. People were breaking into cars.. And they screw you over when you leave, they said my apartment wasnt clean when I had it cleaned and they tell you not to remove stains on your own so I didnt have the carpet cleaned and they charged me 150 for carpet cleaning.. There just over all a bad management theres no security nothing a few people on the office are nice
Taken from Fox 4 website on 03/11/13KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Residents of a Northland apartment complex have been on high alert since a recent sexual assault happened there. And now, some residents hope the complex will do more to protect others. The Tanglewood Apartments are located at Highway 169 and 68th Street in Kansas City, Mo. Some of the apartment residents who spoke to FOX 4 News said they feel safe living there. However, that confidence has changed over the last few days. Many of the residents came home and learned about the incident through a bright orange flier hanging on their door. Some are nervous, since the suspect is still at large.“I came home from work and saw it on my door,” said Tony Angelo, a resident. The flier briefly explained the recent attack on a woman at the complex.According to police, the woman in her 20s was walking through the complex around 1 a.m. on Friday, March 8. A man carrying a gun grabbed her, dragged her to a patio area and then started choking her. She passed out and the suspect raped her.“I thought maybe she was robbed,” said resident Nicole O’Connor. “I didn’t realize she was raped.”Some women who live at the complex say the recent attack is a wake up call and that they need to be more aware of their surroundings.“Mostly that I really don’t need to be out after dark and probably not walk my dog as often as I should,” a resident said. While others say they wish the complex would do more to protect residents.“A lot of time the security lights are burned out it is dark,” another resident said. “They need to stay up on that.”But everyone FOX 4 News spoke to Sunday say they understand incidents like this could happen anywhere. It’s watching out for others and themselves that is the key. There’s not a lot of information about the suspect’s description. He’s described as 5 foot, 11 inches with dreadlocks. If you have any more information, call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
Management is not easy to communicate with. I have recently moved. Our automobile was broken into 4 times even though they advertise they have security. One occasion I called security to complain of a suspicious party and was told to call the police. Not a friendly place and not kid friendly at all.
My roof has leaked 3 times in 4 months and and because they only have 2 maintenance men being run ragged by an old facility, it takes weeks for them to get anything done. Im still waiting for a carport they said theyd have done in November and Im sitting in mid-january.
