Susan was amazing! She fixed a huge debacle that was done at another nail salon. I wont go anywhere else but here.

I was a walk in and they were able to get me in right away! Lynn was amazing and I could tell she really cared! I felt like a valued customer! Everything about this place is wonderful! From the customer service, the massage chairs, the quality, the employees, the music, the atmosphere! The best pedicure I’ve ever had! 10/10 would recommend! I will definitely be coming back!

Amazing walk in experience with friends, workers were on time and professional. My friends and I all had reference photos and got exactly what we wanted, we were all so surprised with the hand massage as well! I would love to come back again and will be a loyal cutomer from now on. Amazing salon! Deserves all the love in the world.

A lot of my friends go to this nail salon so I decided to try it out. I’ve been here now 4 times and have been happy with each visit!! Every nail tech I’ve had was polite and did an amazing job. Definitely recommend!

I went there for the 1st time and had a Male tech. He was ok but the nxt day both my thumb nails starting lifting. I had a french manicure with shellac. I called and went in monday and same tech fixed it for free. Then 2 days later I had another nail chip. Im not a fan of the Male tech I had. He seemed impatient and rushed. I will not be going back there. Im new to Kalamazoo and still have not found a great nail salon!

Love, love, love Elegant Nails Spa. I have been coming here for a couple years now & don’t plan to switch it up at all. Mackenzee is the best nail tech here. She always listens to what I want & makes sure I’m 100% satisfied with my nails/toes! The staff is always so polite & makes sure everything is always clean and orderly! Great establishment. I strongly recommend.

I think speaking up and telling your nail tech that your nails dont look right before the end solves a lot of problems. Ive had issues before but my last 5 or 6 sets of nails have been beautiful and just what I was looking for. I also really enjoy a pedicure here. I have mobility issues and dont bend well and he accommodated me wonderfully.

We did a walk-in appointment. Expected a wait but got seated fairly quickly and our pedicures done in a timely manner. They put the wrong color on her toes but it wasnt a big deal. My daughter wanted acrylics as well. Nobody understood her, they tried just doing paint, then she had to wait forever because the original girl didnt know how to do acrylics. Once done the nails were a LITTLE long, my daughter tried explaining shed like them a little bit shorter. THEY CUT THEM TO HER ORIGINAL NAIL length at her finger tip. So basically, 4.5 hours later to get no extra length, and the wrong color toes. She was disgusted and just wanted to leave. The little flower nail art (took literally 1 minute to paint) didnt get a topcoat, and took 20 minutes for yet a different girl to come over and do it. Never going back again.

Friendly fast service and good on cleanliness!

A friend recommended the place to me. I walked in at 4:45. I was sat in a pedicure chair with cold water and no jets and waited for 40 minutes. The person who was supposed to do my pedi went to someone else who came in after me, despite another nail tech telling him several times he had the wrong person. That guy just laughed and thought it was funny and continued to work on the girl who came after me. Another female staff was informed and Nothing was done about it. The poor guy kept trying to get someone to help me but was ignored until another female staff person, I assume the manager, told him to do my nails next even though he was still with a client. I didn’t get out of the place until 6:30. The nail tech who did my pedicure did a good job and it wasn’t his fault. He tried to get someone but was repeatedly ignored. I tipped him well. The management there is terrible and I won’t be back. I wasn’t offered even so much as a discount for my trouble..

After having a terrible experience at star nails downthe road, i got marble nails done here and they were amazing. they sanitize everything and are so kind. prices are extremely affordable and reasonable, especially for the quality that you get. they actually take their time to make sure that the nails look good. so so happy and will definitely be coming here from now on. :)

Today was my first time coming in and I gotta say, this is a great nail salon! I got oval/almond acrylics with the dip powder and they only charged me $45. A little rough with the filing but overall, I would give them my business again. My nail designer/painter was named Susan (might be wrong) and she was very kind! I would definitely have her do my nails again! The receptionist has an attitude and I was hoping she couldve explained to me what she was talking about instead of walking away when I got confused.

I made an appointment and showed up at the scheduled time. I was told they tried to call me to come an hour earlier, but they called 40 minutes before and didn’t leave a message. I ended up waiting 45 minutes, so that was frustrating. My pedicure was great, but my shellac manicure was thick and is bubbling a few hours later. Also, she painted about 1/4 from the cuticle, so they look grown out already. I’m going to ask them to repair them, but likely won’t go back due to the appointment issue. I don’t know why salons make appointments and then make you wait well past your appointment time

I love it here. Artists are great. Its very updated and they always are decently busy which is a good sign. Been going there since they opened

When I first came in, I noticed the unpleasant atmosphere (I should’ve left, then). I was told 5 minute wait, which was fine. After the wait, I was greeted by a woman and sat down at her booth, only for her to walk over and greet a bunch of incoming customers and start doing a pedicure on one of them. Finally, after about 3 minutes, Nicole comes over and starts doing my nails. She is very rough with my hands and unpleasant the entire time. She was pushing my hand and bending it to the point of it hurting and I told her to lighten up her touch. At the end of my service, she started pounding the top of my hand with her fist (I’ve never received a hand massage with pounding) and I have a cyst on my right hand. It took everything in me not to reach across the booth and show her what it felt like! Needless to say, I will never go back. I later found out that she treats a lot of BIPOC (especially women) with disrespect. I don’t live in the area and had stopped in for a shellac fill. I recommend reading the many reviews here and on Yelp and Facebook before patronizing this place. With all the competitors in the area, you’d think people would learn to stop being unprofessional jerks. If a customer is kind and respectful to you, they deserve the same...even more so, because they chose to patronize your business. If she keeps doing this to others, I fear the outcome because everyone doesn’t operate with love and restraint.

I will not go anywhere else to get a mani. The staff is amazing and sweet and they do a fantastic job.

I had set an appointment for me, my mom, and my sister for 5:30. Each of us had received dip powder and it turned out amazing! We were all finished up in about an hour. This place is doing an excellent job at following covid guidelines.Update: 2nd photo-over a week and a half later and my nails still look great!

I will not have my daughter go back to this place. If you like your hard earn cash do not spend it at this place. You can take my word for it or go find out for yourself and regret it. They are rude, no skills and not professional.

This place is amazing i usually go to the guy the sits all the way at the end on the left side i don’t remember his name but he is truly amazing and so is the owner. they have a lot of friendly workers and is up to date with COVID standards so you will be temp checked and they do ask to use hand sanitizer when you enter the building! They have face shields that sit between you and the nail tech ! I would definitely recommend this place !

They are very rude they are unprofessional, they over charge for the most simple things. The manger is rude to her staff she’s rude to customers they rush on your nails they have horrible attitudes, one of the guys were very rude and didn’t even do my nieces nails because she didn’t want her nails a certain way. The manager never Said or did anything, they caused a big scene in front of everybody they were very rude to others that were there also I would never ever come back there ever again I wouldn’t even allow to my worst enemy to come they are horrible. I’m upset with there actions it’s really sad

(But it did smell like a bunch of bleach & Fritos by the pedicure area) My mask slipped down a bit as i was talking to her about which services i needed, she came up to me and pulled my mask up in the middle of talking. Then offered me a mask of her own which i kindly accepted. Told me to go outside an put the mask on then come back in to talk to her. (rudely) Something told me i should’ve walked away then & there but i wanted to give them the benefit of doubt. Also didn’t feel like driving way across town. Long story short, i paid $95 for a pedi + fill w/shellac. EACH of my nails have dents in them, air bubbles & it’s chipping! Even smudged polish on my tips! I’ve NEVER had this problem with SHELLAC EVER! If anything we pay extra for shellac so we don’t have to sit & wait to dry & my polish smudges?? Waste of my MONEY, time & the WORST birthday nails I’ve EVER had!! Seems to me a lot of these business owners are letting this money get to their head where they don’t even care about their customers anymore! Looks can be deceiving i wanted to feel “elegant” as others make this shop to be. An ended up leaving all but ELEGANT!!!

This was my first time trying this place and I will not be back. They close at 7pm and I got there at 5:50pm and was told I couldn’t get my nails done because they were so backed up. There was hardly anyone waiting but I wasn’t in the mood to argue. Then I tried again a few days later and came in at 1pm this time. I was told to put my name on the list and it would be a wait but she wouldn’t tell me how long. She must of expected a crowd because after waiting 10 minutes she told me to go home and that they would call me when I was ready. I told her I live across town and I wasn’t going all the way home. I decided to walk around the local stores for a bit and after waiting 2 1/2 hours I finally went back to check why I never got a call. When I walked in she immediately recognized me and told me it would be a short wait. All the costumers were new by the way. After waiting even longer I wasn’t seen until 4:40pm when I did a walk in at 1:00pm. I understand places can be busy but people were coming and going as I was waiting. And my nails didn’t not even last a whole 2 weeks before popping off. I love their set up but the experience was horrible

This was the most horrific visit to a salon in my whole life I couldn’t relax at all bc I was on my toes for when the nail tech was going to file my actual nail or stab under my nail while doing nail removal. I was in pain the whole time. She also charged me 60 for a short full set French tips. Never coming here again.

I have been seeing Mackenzee for over a year now. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my nails (I prefer the dip). As a whole, the building is modern and up to date with a wide variety of colors that are always being updated and expanded

I asked for really intricate designs and she did absolutely amazing i love these acrylics and my nails have never looked better!! she was super sweet and did them really quickly and the quality is 10/10. definitely will be returning

I highly recommend Julie. She does my nails as well as my daughters. I would give five stars if it was based solely on my experiences with Julie the nail technician. However, since it is based on the salon I am giving it a four star because of my experiences with the receptionist and my experiences with trying to make appointments via the phone. I have called on several occasions and have not been able to get through due to a message that comes on saying that the customer you are trying to reach has not set up.... The phone then hangs up. Due to my job I dont have the luxury of calling several times throughout the day, day after day, to try and make an appointment. I have stood directly in front of the receptionist to either make an appointment or to pay and have been ignored by her for several minutes while she was in her phone either texting someone or watching something. Extremely unprofessional and she is the face of the salon.

This use to be my go to place, I would even send my friends here. Recently I kept getting a male nail technician, I am not a fan of his work. He’s sloppy, throws things around, and doesn’t care. Hes super amateur, ive never broken so many nails (I go every 2 weeks for a fill). Then when I went in because 2 of my nails broke within the first 24 hours of them being done he got mad at me for not remembering the brand of nail polish I used?? He proceeded to ask me who did my nails (which was him!!) will not return, and won’t recommend to anyone anymore. Very disappointed. Hope things change.

Every single time I have them done I love them - the designs are beautiful and all hand painted! 3 weeks on and they still look good ! Definitely will be back.

Manager was rude and loud never let’s you get a word in when you tell them you want a certain style they say they can do it then it’s never correct and they tell you that’s how it’s supposed to be even if you have a picture very rude and unprofessional I do not recommend unless you want a pedicure which you usually will have a hour wait

My nails were perfect the day I got them but when I got home my nail started to lift up and it eventually came all the way off. The next day I went to get it repaired and it was thicker than all of the other nails. On the 4th of July in the shower all of my nails came off so EASILY my nails shouldn’t be able just slide off. Poor quality and definitely not worth $123.

I have been going here since they opened. I have a 4 year old that does not really like to wait so I decided to get his nails done (before haters hate, yes hes a boy and I dont care if he wants pink/blue/green nails--I thought it would be fun since he wanted to see what mommy does at the nail place) So I was getting dip powder nails and then I didnt care what they did for him I just wanted him to get painted or whatever he wanted so he could sit with me. I waited for 40 minutes and I was asked again what I was waiting for. I said dip powder for me and nails painted or whatever for my child. Nicole stared at me, pulled her mask down and said him? As she looked him up and down. I said yep. She again said...you want him to get his nails done? I said yes. She stated I will do you but not him. I asked why and she wouldnt answer. I cant help but feel she was judging me for letting my guy get his nails done and because she didnt feel it was appropriate she didnt want to do it. I responded that I was done with this place and will find a different place. She did not try to stop me which saddened me because Ive been going there for a long time and she knows me. My little guy didnt understand why that lady didnt want him to get his nails done. I had to explain that sometimes people are mean and left it at that. I didnt want to explain that she didnt want to do his nails because he was a boy. I found a different place that gave him nice bright blue nails. I never judged Nicole for running around with short dresses on with her panties sticking out during SEVERAL of my visits but maybe I should have because then I wouldnt have dealt with this issue.

I went in with my daughter and granddaughter today my daughter gets a specific shape which was not even close to the shape she wanted and I wanted to go from round to square I dont think the girl knew English I felt very isolated when I would ask a question nobody understands English I s crazy. I dont understand their language either so we are both at a loss for words.

I love this place it is the best nail spa! It may take a little longer because they are doing a much better job than every other nail salon! 300 or more dip colors it’s hard to choose! I recommend this place! The owners are great also & the place is very clean!

It wasnt what I expected

I left a 5 star review for this place three months ago but today I had an awful experience. I called 5 days ahead of time and booked a 11am appointment and when I came in around 10:45 the girl immediately told me that they couldn’t take me and I told her I had an appointment and she said they can’t make appointments for later in the day because it was busy. I told her I made it 5 days ago for today and she said that it wasn’t possible because she is the one who does all the appointments over the phone but then after making me look dumb and having people stare at me (even though i was calm and nice about it because I’ve been on the other end and dealt with awful customers at my old service job), she either found my name in the book or gave up because she had a nail tech do my nails. They are great at what they do, but I just feel like she didn’t listen and immediately was trying to get me to leave without looking at the appointment book. The old receptionists were so personable and nice...

Unfortunately, zero stars isn’t an option. I’d read really good reviews about this salon and decided to give it a try. I walked into the salon at about 6:05p (they close at 7p). Upon my walking in, I was never greeted/acknowledged by the receptionist . When I made eye contact with one of the young women and told her what I needed, I was told they were closed. When I asked why they were closing early, I was told they’d had a long day, they were tired and the nail techs were leaving. The doors were not locked and there was no signage on the door stating when they were closed. When I asked to speak to the owner,, I was told the owner wasn’t there and they refused to give me contact info for the owner. Come to find out the owner was there, owner Nicole became irate with me and started yelling and screaming and even threatened to call the police multiple times. She and her husband also own great escape nail spa across the street from here. Avoid both of these places and take your money elsewhere.

This place is pricey but worth it. Went in with a couple of friends and we all loved our full sets. I also got a pedicure and it was amazing. The staff are friendly and extremely detail oriented. They are patient and skilled. I would give more stars if I could. The place is new and clean. Absolutely great all the way around.

I was looking forward to a very nice relaxing time because of all of the great reviews. But I did not receive that. I drove 30 min to get there and was unsatisfied with the male that did my $45 pedi. Im sure their are wonderful workers there that gives great service but unfortunately I didnt receive that.

Really enjoyed coming to this place. I dont live in Kalamazoo but when visiting Im going to keep this place on my radar. They were able to take my girlfriend, her daughter and I within an hour and we were able to sit next to each other and got done at the same time. The staff is very friendly and does a great job.

One of the worse experiences I have had at a nail salon. I told the nail tech I would like shellac, I explained I like my nails long and told her the color I wanted. The nail tech definitely didn’t listen and she chopped all my nails off. I even stopped her and said “I like them long”, she simply said “ok” and kept clipping. At this point I was a little frustrated, and noticed her bring out French tips. I again had to explain to her that wasn’t what I want at all. Once she understood she had the audacity to try to blame the miscommunication on me.I explained to the nail tech one more time that I had told her shellac, I told her the color, I told her I like them long and I even wrote down EXACTLY what I wanted on the sheet. SHELLAC MANICURE!!! Then it was my friend’s turn to get her nails done and the girl that was going to do hers ask my friend if she wanted the same thing as me, since I just finished getting the shellac on and my friend said yes. Obviously her girl wasn’t listening either because she clipped all her nails down too and pulled out the French tips like she was going to put fake nails on when WE JUST FINISHED EXPLAINING what I had!!!! We ended up leaving very unpleasant with the service provided. Needless to say, we will not be returning and will not be recommending.

Nice and clean, great setting for clients, but staff seemed a little cramped; stepping around each other. I got shuffled from one chair to another, from one professional to another. Made an appointment for next future date, Ill see if thats a little more relaxed. Pedicure chairs back in a more private setting, love that concept. Will go back for sure, great results!!

I decided to get the cat eyes. I was surprised to find out that my colors changed according to my body temperature (yellow when warm and peach when cold). It looked great and I am excited to explore the other colors they have.

Tay Moorein the last weekBest nail place ever my boyfriend and I made appointments for pedicures we walked in and right a way was helped. They were very clean and sanitized and that mean a great deal. I love their staff and Luke who did my toes was very friendly and did a great job on my pedicure. Love the place will return.

Very clean and hospitable always. The nail techs take their time and you never feel rushed even when it is busy. The prices are a little more than i normally pay for but the service is better also. I recommend this place to anyone who wants to treat themselves well.

Good location and nice and clean service area. With that being said make sure you communicate very clearly what you want and have them tell you back what they heard. Watched a few people get upset because the tech started performing the wrong service.Kendra, is great and does quality work. She wasnt there on my last visit so unfortunately I had to go with someone else. She rushed, cut my finger and did a TERRIBLE job. After she cut my finger she tried to insinuate it was my fault because my finger wasnt in a good position. Didnt catch her name but she looked to be the only one with glasses. Will not be going back there any time soon.

Exceptionally Nail Salon. There isnt a bad nail technician in the place. This nail salon truly lives up to its name Elegant Nails!

I set up a 5:30pm appointment for today at 9:00am this morning . This was my first time at this facility and the greeting from the receptionist was not the friendliest. I asked the receptionist if the color palette I was looking at was shellac polish, she pretended not to hear me so I asked again and received a response. After waiting for 20 minutes and watching multiple people get service before me, I was asked by one of the nail techs “how may I help you?”. I stated I had a 5:30 appointment and she apologized in a nonchalant manner and basically stated they would not be able to assist me because they over booked appointments. Worst nail shop experience I have ever had. The situation was not handled in a professional manner and I would advise others to spend their money at a different facility.

Horrible customer service . Rude . I Will say it’s a nice environment but otherwise zero stars . Owner very moody depends on the day and how she feels that determines what type of service you’ll get that day . No need to make an appt because u will still have at least a 25-30 min wait .Not only is she rude to u but she’s rude to her staff as well . Oh and avoid her dip powder you’ll end up with nail fungus . I’ve been a loyal customer for over 3 years was at this new place when the doors open and there was not one other person . How do u do a persons nail for years and don’t have the decency to even look up and at least acknowledge them and let them know your running behind . She’s so rude she can’t even keep a receptionist 30 days . Loyal customers make a business if she don’t make changes with her attitude she won’t have employees or any customers soon . ✌🏽

I went there for pedicure with my sister awhile ago, and the services were pretty nice, we just got a regular pedicure, nothing special. The polish stayed on for a while, but eventually chipped away (regular polish) as it does. But about 2 days ago I went with some friend, and got manicures. There was one full set, w/ regular polish, & 3 gel manicures on natural nails. Mine nails personally are holding up just fine, but one of my friends nail chipped that night, bc it was not applied right. She had color changing polish. The other friend got matte nails with a design, and yesterday two of her nails chipped. For gel I wouldnt expect them to chip. I think they can do better especially since those one friend spent 30 dollars (25 base rate, 5 dollar tip), and the other one spent about 32 (30 dollars, and a 2 dollar tip). I do expect better, and like I said mine personally have been just fine, but whats mentioned above is unacceptable. So far the friend that got the full set had no complaints. She got her nails d ok ne ballerina style, in a red shade for a comicon. Besides being a first time acrylic nail wearer, she seems to be pretty content with them.

Nicole is the BEST!!!!!! I just LOVE her...VERY beautiful work and shop!! Feels like a new luxury car while inside!!!I just see but back and had a Brazilian Wax and my arm pits done. I also took my mom to get a pedicure. First off she didnt get all my hair off and didnt want too! She asked me to point out where I seen hair because she couldnt see it. It cost way too much for waxing to get a person that half does it. I brought $25 in cash put it in one zipped part in my purse. Put $50 in another. It cost $25 for arm pits. $52 for my moms services. Which I wouldve used my card or counted out change for the $2.00. Brazilian Wax was paid for on my last visit with Nicole. When I went to pay $20.00 was gone out of my purse! I DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE TOGET THEIR WAX DONE THERE. I FORGOT HER NAME BUT SHES AN OLDER WHITE WOMAN, BLONDE HAIR, PALE AND USUALLY WEARS RED LIPSTICK. Im not giving the place as a whole a lower score because of one person and she says shes leaving but just so yall know be very careful if you go there before shes gone!! I found the best waxers in Kalamazoo for arm pits. On stadium drive, next to jets pizza! I have found a woman that does Brazilian waxes and will travel!! Thanks and good luck

Fancy and Elegant Im very happy with my nails!!

Stopped in here on vacation. Got a mani pedi for my son and I and pedis for my boyfriend and his son.The salon is beautiful. Surprisingly elegant considering its surrounding strip mall.Place is packed even during the day.Good manicure and pedicure.Only flaw was that I wanted a full manicure for my son. He did not get that BUT we were charged according to what he recieved. Which was a kids manicure. So Im not mad about it.Overall, one of the nicest salons Ive been to.Great job.
