We had our hot water heater unexpectedly fail today of course early in the morning, with water leaking from a crack in the tank and all. We called several other places and were told it would be weeks before anyone could come out. Thankfully, Great Lakes was able to fit us in same-day and they were out within six hours of calling. The two guys that came out were friendly, really efficient, and were just overall just really great. Even though the old water heater made a mess, they left our basement cleaner than when they arrived which is always appreciated and definitely does NOT always happen when having service completed. The brand of hot water heater also is good that they used being Lochinvar. We are really grateful they were able to fit us in considering we had no hot water, and had to shut off our water due to the sudden tank leak. We will definitely recommend them and keep them in mind for future needs!

Technician was professional and fixed the issue within 10min. Price of service was completely exorbitant of the repair performed. Also would have preferred the Tech wear boot covers inside the home. Questionable whether I’d call again for service based on price charged

Truly impressed with the knowledge and professionalism they provided. Replaced our water heater and updated the ventilation for it. Tyler was very respectful on the phone and gave me an accurate quote. Our technician Eldon was very kind, experienced and understanding to our needs as a family that is high risk for serious complications if from COVID-19. He clearly knew what he was doing and cleaned up after himself. He also kept his mask on whenever possible. Very happy with the service and quality of this company.

Both Gentlemen were Professional and were thorough in getting the job done. Especially since the job was not easy getting to since the piping is under my house in this very cramped and dirty place. I really appreciate all that they did. 😁

The owner Tyler is a great guy, he is also my landlord. His employees are knowledgeable and very good at what they do.

I called about a leak in our hot water pipe, and while they were very busy, since this was right after the COVID stay at home rule was modified to allow non-essential work, they got someone right over. Within 4 hours the plumber was here, repaired two leaks and was gone within 1 hour. The pipes work perfectly, the cost was reasonable and now I have hot water again! Hurray! Thank you Great Lakes Plumbing for your expedient and expert work. We are truly thankful.

Keith came over right away on a Saturday and did a great job plumbing our kitchen sink. He also did a great job fixing a major toilet issue in 2014. I will not hesitate to call them back!

So they want $55.00 to give me an estimate for a few thousand dollar job? Get over yourselves. That is a signal that they probably nickel-and-dime you to death. I’ll use someone that appreciates my business.

We recently had plumbing work done by Eldon V. at Great Lakes Plumbing. Our neighbor recommended him and we were very happy with the job he did. He was prompt and did an awesome job repairing the broken drain pipe in our wall for a very reasonable cost. We will definitely call Eldon at Great Lakes for our future Plumbing needs.

They stand by there work! 2 months after having Great lakes do some plumbing work in our bathroom we found a leak. They came out right away and fixed the issue.

I would never recommend Great Lakes to anyone. Rude dispatcher, and techs that are not as knowledgeable as Suburbans. Great Lakes was not able to identify a fairly simple matter, that was causing my furnace to not run properly. They started replacing parts without knowing the actual problem and made me pay over $500 in repairs that were completely unnecessary. Two days before my furnace started acting up, I changed my filter to a hypoallergenic filter. What I didnt know was that this was causing my airflow to be reduced, and built up hot air in my blower motor, causing the furnace to shut down. If Great Lakes wouldve measured the airflow first (which should be standard practice), they wouldve known to just tell me to go back to the cheap filters. Even with Great Lakes changing multiple parts, the problem continued and I had to call another tech out, who did check the airflow and told me to simply go back to the cheap filters. Problem solved. Do yourself a favor and call Suburban first.

They were extremely rude to us!!! We just purchased a house with a very old air conditioner and the home warranty company sent them out on Monday. The guy charged us 150 dollars to put new coolant in the machine. 1 hour after he left it shut out so we called them back and they sent a different guy out. He said the air conditioner needed to be completely replaced which we initially thought when purchasing the house. He said he would get us a quote for a new system and email it to us. My husband called and asked if we could be refunded for the $150 coolant since it was clear that was not a solution to our AC problem. The guy called back and told my husband that they would not be sending us a quote because we seemed like Nightmare customers and then hung up the call on him abruptly! Very unprofessional!!!!!!

The guys who came out for a furnace maintenance were so incredibly kind and helpful!! I don’t know anything about this stuff and they answered my questions, took me to the furnace to show me some things, and were understanding and thoughtful. I used a Groupon, never using this company before. But I will again for all my heating, AC, and plumbing needs. Outstanding customer service!

We had Great Lakes out to repair our 23 year old furnace. Mike the repairman was prompt, efficient and friendly. He answered all of our questions and we were very happy with the service provided. This was our second time using Great Lakes.

Ken and Cord were AMAIZNG, they took care of it all. They were friendly, professional and even interacted with my Pets and child. They are terrible. They broke a pipe, put a hole in the wall and messed up on the shower handle. The man was nice enough but they need to do a better job because now we have a leak and our ceiling is ruined.

Called to get an estimate and they said their technician would call me back. It’s been a week and no one has called back.

I use Great Lakes for my plumbing needs. They are professional, clean up when finished and do excellent work.

I called Great Lakes Plumbing from a recommendation. They came out to quote me on Feb. 1 on getting the galvanized piping and cast iron waste line replaced in my basement. I was told it would be a one day job and that would be that. Today (March 7) is when the work was finally completed after three different trips and having a 45 minute late no-show where they had to reschedule. The plumbers did not come prepared to complete all the things they had said they would do which caused for delays. I would not recommend using them as I found them to be unprofessional. The only reason I give them three stars is because they did a good job and their pricing was much cheaper than other plumbing companies that would charge far higher to come and give a quote and be able to do the job right there and then. If you are not in a time crunch then they may be worth it.

Thank you guys for coming to our rescue so quickly. It was awesome to have someone show up and fix our problem. I would happily reccomend Great Lakes.

Dave T did an awesome job fixing our air conditioning. He came out for a service visit for a fall checkup on the furnace and air conditioning units and was very knowledgeable and efficient.

Dave T called 20 minutes ahead to let me know he was coming. I later learned that is company policy and appreciated the call as I was still at work and had a chance to run home to meet him at the house. Dave quickly discovered we had a faulty solenoid, stopping water to reach the humidifier. He had necessary parts with him at also made sure that the humidifier worked correctly and with a new pad before he left. I would not call any other company for my HVAC repair or replacement needs.Great Lakes Plumbing - Heating and Cooling installed a new Trane furnace along with an air-to-air heat pump/ AC unit a couple of years ago and we have been very happy both during cooling and heating seasons. The air exchanger was not that much more than a regular AC unit and has saved us on our heating bills. Anytime the air temperature is above 36 degrees F the heat pump is our primary heating source and works even during sunny days on cool winter days.

No wonder my neighbors went with Great Lakes when old pipes broke--found my break right away, under front yard.

Im am beyond pleased with my service today.

I called to have anchor bolts (toilet to floor) replaced and fix a leaky toilet shut-off value. It turned out that more work was needed than expected. As it happened a flange was needed to replace what had been present under the toilet (probably from 50 years ago). Ernie took care of the job and left the bathroom as clean as it was before he came.
