Brad Pennings and his amazing team just finished a complete remodel of our basement. From start to finish, it was a very positive experience. They arrived on time, were always professional, and managed to stick to the timeline almost to the minute! Hopefully the photo of the stairway shows off their expert workmanship and attention to detail. We highly recommend this company.

Pennington took over 2 weeks to roof my neighbor across the street. We all deal with home contractors and Im not complaining they parked up my side yard for 2 weeks. I AM complaining that while they took PAINSTAKING care to keep the neighbors yard pristine, they used MY yard to load and upload equipment and men. The cream of the crop was after they finally finished instead of parking IN THE CLIENT YARD OR DRIVEWAY they stayed in front of MY yard loading equipment and used my lawn to access their trucks and storage trailers. This meant going way out of their own way to carry everything across the street and around the side of the trailer through my yard.Final straw is they then DROVE EQUIPMENT through my actual yard!!! Not just the side yard.Freaking ridiculous.

Prices were fair and the details were not overlooked. When I needed something done ASAP Rick got right out and took care of it too!

Pennings and Sons built our house 30 years ago and we use them for all our remodeling projects. We used Pennings to do a full-gut remodel of our kitchen. It was approximately a 2-month project that could not have gone better, despite the pandemic. Every step of the way, from design to execution to follow-up went flawlessly. We plan to remodel two bathrooms in a year or so, and we will definitely go back to Pennings. Not only is this company knowledgeable and professional, but they do most of the work in-house, including design, project management and several trades. We had a single project manager (Josh Krone) throughout the project, and Josh was highly responsive and flexible. In fact, when we had the big storm in August, we lost power for a week, but it didnt stop Pennings. Josh brought generators to the project and the work went forward without missing a beat. Its hard to say how impressive that was. They also notified me of mistakes they made, including cracking a pane of glass that was so small it was almost impossible to see. From our initial meeting with Nate Smallcombe to design with Tami Caperton to project supervision by Brad Pennings, our experience was a 10. Pennings and Sons just completed a garage, mud room, laundry room addition and a kitchen re-model. We couldn’t be happier as they did a great job of matching the look of the new construction to match the rest of our 20’s era home. They were extremely responsive and everyone that came on-site was courteous and professional.

I cant begin to explain how happy I am with the new windows and three exterior doors that I had replaced on my home that was built in 1915! Every step of the way was effortless and fun. More important the product exceed my expectations with the appearance, functionality and more important the installation! Communication was the best Ive experienced with any of the home improvement work done on top of that!

Called for a quote a few months back. I was told it would be a couple weeks before someone could get out to look at the work I needed done. After 5 weeks had passed I asked whats the problem. I was told it would take roughly another two weeks to get the quote (total of 2 months from time I called til supposed quote was given) in addition I was told it would be 6-8 weeks before the work would even start. 3 months later, still waiting on the quote. Obviously I dont care about the quote any longer, the problem is if u know you are 3 months out what is so hard about informing the customer that you are too busy to timely respond to their request? Out of all of the contractors I called this was the only one that was completely unprofessional, and I wouldnt recommend them to anyone

They dont do cookie-cutter jobs, all of their projects are custom and often times have very cool unique features. Honest, reliable, and with decades of experience on staff. They can handle projects of any size!

From the very first meeting at our home to discuss the scope of the project, we were impressed with their professionalism and knowledge. Their quote was competitive with other area builders, and the materials Pennings used for the job were, in some cases, superior.They were patient with us as we tweaked the design multiple times. We were delighted at the creativity and inspiration their architect provided to our project. Careful attention was paid to insuring the addition looked like it was part of the original design of the home, and it shows! The architect gave us multiple options to choose from, one of which even decreased the footprint without compromising design or our priorities, and actually reduced costs.Through the process, we met all of the senior management at the company. Not only is everyone extremely competent, but also personally delightful. They are very customer focused, and are always looking to exceed expectations.Our project manager has been phenomenal. From the very beginning, he shared the daily schedule with us so we knew exactly what to expect and prepare for. Changes were also communicated, and accommodations were made to be as non-intrusive as possible in our lives during construction. We were involved in every decision, whether small or large, and we had the freedom to make adjustments along the way. If any concerns arose with subcontractors, we only had to communicate with Pennings and any issues were handled immediately.We chose to take on some of the work ourselves to reduce the overall cost of the project, and there were no objections. In fact, our project manager often provided advice to us or lent a hand when possible.Pennings has been a delight to work with. From start to finish, it was an exceptionally positive experience and we are thrilled with the outcome.

Great, honest and trustworthy people to work with. If you choose to work with them you will not be disappointed. Usually not the least expensive choice but then you definitely get what you pay for here and that would be excellent workmanship and customer service.
