We didnt purchase anything and I didnt really look at pricing BUT what cool looking place with an original concept.

It was fine until I realized later it was cut and styled at the same time. When its not styled. My hair look like a half a broken egg shell. This review and rating are for the haircut only. Place was kinda cool.

Stopped in for the second time in as many months to pick up some body soaps. They are fragrantly awesome! Didnt intend to but picked myself up a nice piece of Nixon watch bling as well. This store is fresh. Tell me another place in our area where you can get your hair and beard trimmed and walk out styled from head to toe in the latest fashion. Im waiting. Lol. The girl that helped me, she was great, very helpful. And stylish too. I LOVE THAT. And Im sure the whole staff is that way. Theyve been here a year, lets keep em around for a long time Kalamazoo/Portage!

I came late to my appointment, its true, and I was told they could no longer give me a haircut. There was no suggestion of a next available time, no interest in offering a solution; just shrugs and dismissal. Whats particularly galling is that at my last haircut here, I was made to wait for nearly 20 minutes past my appointment time to finally sit in the chair (with no explanation offered). It would seem only their lateness is acceptable, but not that of their customers. The haircuts I received over two visits there were quite varied in quality, and in sum not good enough to warrant a return anyway.

Man oh man I could write an essay on how badly Kalamazoo needed something like this.Your experience begins by walking down the Kalamazoo mall which is exciting all on its own. That’s when you enter...”The Waiting Room” it feels like a mix of a cigar/cocktail lounge, an upscale east coast men’s clothing shop, and a Sweeney Todd like barber shop. Colby Was amazing and it’s evident he’s passionate about his work. The cut and shave was worth every penny. I can honestly say it’s the best haircut I’ve ever had. The entire experience was great and the clothing, shoes and other accessories are awesome.I just picked up their DU/ER pants on the way out. They’re jeans but feel like sweatpants, and I also got some hair styling stuff, a button up, hat, and some new briefs. Plus there’s so many options if you’re looking for a gift. I’ll actually be back soon to pick up some hunting soap.Honestly bravo to the ownership team for a great business idea and awesome execution on that idea, and your staff has been incredible too.You’ve got my loyalty!P.S. check out principles across the street for drinks and a quick bite, you won’t regret it.

Colby was friendly and did a great detailed job on my haircut. This is the best experience Ive had with a haircut in this area. Additionally a small but appreciated aspect was that they had the ear savers for masks to loop the mask straps around the back of my head instead of removing the mask when doing work around my ears. Which gives me additional confidence that theyre taking the health and safety of their staff/customers seriously. I wont hesitate to return here.

Excellent haircut in a wonderful environment. Prices are a tad high (for both haircut and the goods for sale), but quality doesnt come cheap.

This place is great. Awesome brands for guys who appreciate quality but not the expense of functionality. While you’re there, schedule a appointment with Colby the on-staff barber. Wicked clean cuts and a perfectionist. Kalamazoo was in dire need of a spot like this.

My husband has been going to Colby, the barber, for more than a year when Colby was based out of Battle Creek and has really been thrilled with the quality of cut and shave he receives. So, when we found out Colby was moving to a location in Kzoo, my husband naturally followed.After my husband’s first visit, he came home excited not only about the services offered, but that the front of the location was actually a store. My husband is very particular with his clothing choices and so when he says he likes pretty much everything they have to offer, I listen.He took me to The Waiting Room yesterday and I was beyond impressed. Not only is there a really cool vibe and great clothing and shoe choices, but the service was amazing. They were quite literally waiting on us hand and foot, but not in the obnoxious way.I can’t wait to make the a regular stop for gifts for my husband. Wish you could give more than 5 ⭐️

We were in town visiting family and went downtown to grab dinner. We got our son in for a quality haircut while we waited to have a great dinner across the street at Principle. I scooped up some Christmas presents for all the dads, uncles, and brothers in my life too. It’s worth every penny!

Went in for a haircut by Colby. Very impressed at the detail and professionalism of his work. This is not a cheap $12 haircut, but like all things you get what you pay for. I felt like the value was very good and it was a very high-end experience for a fair price. I will definitely be back again!The rest of the store has a lot of higher-end mens clothing and a lot of awesome shoes. Ended up buying a t-shirt but I will be back for more.

Went in yesterday for a haircut and beard trim that I was desperately in need of due to COVID. The shop is really cool, with all kinds of stylish clothing and accessories for men to shop around for and check out while you wait for your appointment. I was actually running late and they were still flexible enough to get me in. Colby was my barber and his attention to detail and focus while he was working was really a nice thing to see. You can tell hes passionate about what he does and takes pride in making things look good. The cut and trim turned out great and Im really happy with the result, plus it wasnt an outrageous cost like at some other high-end places. Ill be coming back to Colby again for sure, and to check out some of their cool merchandise.

Best place in Kazoo. Ive been in Kazoo for three years now and havent been able to a baber. Im so happy Ive found my baber.

Solid shop - quality mens clothing in the front with a barber shop in the back. Reasonably priced all around for the quality you are getting. No it is not a $12 cut, but for $30 you get a solid line up. Women with short hair will be happy with Colby too.
