I have gone twice, Andrew has done my hair both times, Hair cut is clean, and great. Plan on continuing being a customer. Highly suggest trying them out.

Listen, this place is the real deal. You can *try* other barbers in the area, but go ahead and save yourself some time because you’ll just end up at Samson’s eventually. Jake and Andy provide a sharp, precise cut and make you feel right at home. Good conversation and no overpowering personalities. Good dudes who are shaving out a great, high quality business in downtown KZO.

It was my first time there, and Andrew did a great job. Him and the owner were friendly and talkative. So far, it is the best barber experience I have had since I moved out to Kzoo years ago. I will definitely go there again.

Took my son in for a haircut and I got a head shave and beard trim. Was wonderful to have someone who is passionate about their craft. All the guys were great. I felt welcomed and safe the entire time. Planning to make this our go to barber shop!

After trying many barbers in Kalamazoo I finally found Samsons. Jake gives the best haircut in town. Highly recommend!

Jake the Barber is the real deal, he knows how to cut mens hair better than anyone else Ive gone to. He makes all his own products, he is by appointment only, which is a testament to his top notch skills in the barbering world!You wont want to go anywhere else!

Had an initial great experience here, but then had an extremely disappointing secondary one. I had to cancel due to illness and sent an email to the one listed on his StyleSeat page at 6am the day of the appointment. Despite canceling as soon as I was able, I was listed as a ‘no show’ and charged for the full cost of the appointment. The numerous calls / texts I have attempted since then, requesting even a partial refund, have been ignored. (The note I sent via Messenger has been viewed, and I’m assuming my voicemail and texts were received as well, but days later I’ve yet to hear anything back.) As much as we enjoyed our first appointment with Jake, it’s unlikely we’ll be back after this awkward, unprofessional situation. From my initial impression, Jake really is very talented and gracious, which makes this situation even more frustrating as it seems out of character. Oh well. :(
