Avery came today and did everything I was expecting! Everything was done within a timely manner. Would definitely recommend him!
The leasing agent, Bert Briel, is the absolute best. She made the entire process seamless and easy from beginning to end. You can tell that she loves her job and genuinely cares about all the residents. I can’t express enough how lucky I feel that we got to work with her. She’s one in a million for sure.
Our maintenance request was responded to quickly. Avery was extremely helpful. He not only fixed the issue we were having but explained the issue and how he resolved it. He answered a few other questions and helped us with another simple task beyond our request. Avery was also very professional and put everything back that he needed to move.Very pleased!
Mainstreet Renewal sent out the best technician Ive ever experienced. Not only did he get the job done in a timely fashion and correctly but he was such a gentleman. He came in with a bubbly spirit and the will to want to get the job done. He didnt stop until he was pleased and until I got cool air in my fridge. He made sure that I was pleased with his work before he left. You definitely need more workers like Avery. Hes definitely the BEST at what he does. Thank you Avery!!
Today I had the pleasure of receiving the best quality customer service from Avery the maintenance guy. He did an exceptional job identifying a creepy spider that was on my back patio and he also did a good job spraying down wasp nest that were located on the back as well. I feel that he went over andBecause his the main issue was to repair the garbage disposal. Thank you Avery for making my move here feel comfortable.
Boris was very thorough and professional during our interaction . I was so happy and surprised to get a serious issue looked into and proper, efficient followup from Roto Rooter.
Avery was amazing for our service requests! Truly went above and beyond and was extremely communicative and worked within time frames that our family was home as well! He fixed all the maintenance issues we had and completed within time frame and to expectations! He was more communicative than Main Street Renewal’s main customer service line! I am so thankful for Avery for being an exceptional individual with great work ethic and with great customer service!
MSR refusal to do anything about the pool on this property, i call just abt every week to complain.MSR charges my extra $100 for this! The service cleaning service they contracted almost never show up, MSR Refuses to clean the pool and only treats the water! The pool attacts all kinds of bug and pests which creep inside the house!MSR refuses to install a pool cover because that would negate the pool service that they MAKE me pay for! i have lived here just about a year AND I HAVE NEVER USED THE POOL BECAUSE THEY REFUSE TO DO ANYTHING THIS IS NOTHING MORE THAN A CESSPOOL.
Arman (west side maintenance man) has come several times to fix things in our house. He’s really nice, and tries to take care of the tenants in his neighborhood. Mainstreet office is also quick to respond and send him out
Do not rent from this company! Its one star because it wont let me do less. Everythings fine as long as you dont need them. They also have a history of raising the rent as you near the end of your lease.
Avery is very knowledgeable and personable. He takes his time to ensure the job is completed properly, and he ensures my understanding of what is going on from beginning to end.He is a great asset to your company!
Avery with Mainstreet Renewal is absolutely lovely. He fixed the things that needed to be fixed while being friendly and efficient. I really appreciate him calling to let me know he was coming. Thank you Avery!
Avery did a great job on maintenance when he came to the property. He had great communication throughout the whole process and he was quick and efficient. I would definitely recommend.
I am pleased with the townhouse, it is very nice. The exterior looks ok, theres a sprinkler system but no one knows how to turn it on so all the grass is dead which is not appealing. I purchased a water hose and water my lawn. Maintenance worker was efficient and fixed the problem with the plumbing downstairs.
Urgent maintenance needs to days to fix including the ac going out in the middle of summer with a disabled Person and infant in the house. The vendor they sent out to fix the irrigation system caused an increase in the bill by $150 because how they set the sprinkler system and asked us not to change it. Then charged us a $100 maintenance fee when we were never advised we would be charged for someone to come out.
Thank you Miko for fixing our maintenance issue today! Professional, fast and did a good job with our sink issue.
I called about 2 issues today after being on hold for 40 plus mins only one issue was resolved. I have a leak in my kitchen which is an urgent matter and main street resolution was to send me to a vendor and have me pay for the repairs. Nowhere in my lease does it state Im responsible for payment of maintenance.
Avery was very professional, he listened to my concerns and made sure my maintenance issues were resolved in a timely manner. Great customer service and very knowledgeable!
Everything about the phone call was above and beyond excellent... thank you guys so much for all you do for your clients we really appreciated it..
Caleb was out tech and he came out and fix our plumbing issues with a quickness. He was on time and professional. He even locked the door behind himself...not many people do that and i really appreciated him and his service.
Armin was great. He is always available to help with any issues we have. There should be more people in the world like Armin.
Avery was very polite, knowledgeable and efficient. He was determined to not leave till the job was completed. He did an outstanding job and got us out of the heat!
Day two: Sewage fountain out of toilet, sewage also bubbled up from bathtub drain.Day 2-16: Hotel stays with two dogs (went from 3 br, 2 ba, to one small hotel room for 14 days)Day 17: Was told to move back in home even though sewage still under vinyl floor, floors not sealed, sewage-swollen wood is not replaced. Achieved with 14-day hotel stay: floors were mopped three times)Day 23: Had our sewage-swollen bathroom vanity replaced ourselves (still not reimbursed)Day 25: Had our floors sealed ourselves (not reimbursed)Day 31: Hotel again, AC not working effectively during heat advisory tempsDay 33: Instructed to go back home even though no repairs have been madeDay 34: Since AC sort of works, and temps arent above 90 for more than four hours, our AC is deemed good enough but well escalate the matter and hope for the best.
Avoid this company at all costs!!!! Do not even start the application process and definitely DO NOT PAY THE APPLICATION FEE! Once you complete the application, they string you along for weeks asking for more information which was already provided. Absolutely exhausting and a waste of your time!! There was absolutely no communication, you will stay on the line forever and will be transferred from one department to the other without any resolution. I am just thankful I found out how awful this company is and gave up after weeks of the application process. I cannot even imagine how bad things would be once you moved into one of their homes. My heart goes out to all of you who have. Good Luck!! AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!
Shawntae (hopefully I’m spelling correctly) did an awesome job with assisting me with my ongoing plumbing issues. Although, this have been an ongoing issue since I moved in the home I am very plead with the professionalism. 🥰
I am a veteran who served this country in two major war, This company would not tell why they denied my application. Between my disability income and my job income, i make a littler over 90,000 annually, my credit score is over 800. I dont have a single criminal offence not even a parking ticket. They toom 100 application fees, but they cant tell me why my application was denied. I spend several hours calling only to be transfered to another answering machine or the same thirdparty who only say to call the office.
Mikoh came out today and did an amazing job fixing my new home up,Re-hung a door and fixed my toilet from not flushing in only a few minutes!
The same thing that happened to everyone. They allow you to apply for a home, knowing that it is off the market. Taking application money from innocent people. Im sure we can all file a class action against them.
1) Call reps- they all work from home.. heard a baby in the background. They are clueless on providing concrete information. All they can say is I apologize and well send an email2)Long wait calls3) SELLERS MARKET-$40app fee each adult ex... Mr+Ms=80 PLUS Ms.+Mr=80 a total of $160 non refundable4) Properties- with the rently app.. some properties has keys and then some are missing. If reported you cant view the home until its replaced- and they dont even notify you when the key is replaced-I even called to find out and was told yes..drove to the property to find out key wasnt there!!. Wasted time and gasI have not placed an application with them.. I am mentally drained on top of the company not taking accountability with returning calls or emails as provided. IF YOU CAN CREATE A SYSTEM TO TAKE INSTANT PAYMENT.. PROVIDE A SYSTEM WITH INSTANT OUTSTANDING SERVICE. Emails arent cutting it. Higher better Service.
Mikoh, our service technician was fantastic! Got the job done quickly & efficiently. 10/10 would have him back :) Our back door now has proper weather stripping, hoping our electricity bill is lower next month!! Thanks Mikoh!!!!
Bert Briel was a friendly professional who guided us through our rental process. Highly recommend
Im renting a property from Main Street Renewal with a one year lease that started in November of 2019. The primary reason that my wife and I rented this property is because of the large patio off the back of the property that overlooks a natural lake that is beautiful. When we first moved I was walking with the aid of prosthetic leg to get around about 35 percent of the time and using a wheelchair the rest of the time, because I was waiting on my custom prosthetic to be made. The company that made my leg was not able to finish making the leg until the first of the year because of that I had to cover the deductible of $5000 before I was able to pick it up. The last week in April I rolled out the back door of the house onto the deck, like I had done 100s of times previously and the deck detached its self from the house. When this happened I fell out of my wheelchair and fell on the end of my residual limb. I reported what happened to them, at the time I told them that there was a little bit of bleeding and a decent amount of pain. I told them I didnt believe there was any reason to got to the hospital at the time because it was right at the beginning of the of the COVID-19 stuff. I had a little swelling occur but thought it was because I had not been wearing my prosthetic much and started wearing shrinker socks because that is normal practice for a amputee. A few weeks later I had an appointment with a surgeon to discuss getting a total knee replacement, but she ended the appointment by admitting me to mayo clinic because my residual limb had an infection bad enough to transfer my BKA(bellow the knee amputation) to and AKA(above the knee amputation). This started an insurance claim and had an adjuster come out over a month ago, Ive been asking for the information about the claim since then and I still dont have it. No one at this company is easy to get in touch with, they purposely have things set up so that you cannot email anyone or call anyone directly. It took them over a month and a half to fix the patio, and recently found out that there was never a permit pulled for building the deck or repairing it. Also they installed a new air conditioning unit without pulling a permit and installed a unit without a heat pump so you better not get cold easily.
They took my application fee for a property they said that was available and when I called them they told me over 200 plus people applied.. So with that being said.. They are scamming. Dont waste your money and time with this company. Your lively hood is more important.
Main Street Renewal has been great to work with since we moved in. The timeframe for getting a tech out for maintenance requests has been spotty, but the technicians they have on staff are great! In particular, Avery was quick, professional, and friendly!
AveryB is a great technician, very professional and explained/fixed the issue plus offered tips on maintenance. The first positive experience with mainstreet that I have had of my requests, hopefully not the last great experience.
Avery came to service my home he was very knowledgeable on the service he had to fix he was very Efficient an fixed my problem with no issue also fixed my door which was not in myMaintenance request, also was very efficient in fixing that also kept it very professional and kept a well business structure and
This company is one of the worst rental companies I have ever seen. To start with the application process, we had to send over the information at least 5 times. It was the same information every time and they kept telling us it was incorrect until one time it finally wasn’t. That was our first red flag but we really loved the home. When it came time for move in day they sent two codes for the lock box, neither of them worked. I spent 5 hours on calls trying to find the correct code and everyone kept transferring me to different people, I was put on hold just to be hung up on several times. I finally got a hold of the original leasing agent that we dealt with and she told me to try a combination of the two codes we were given and it worked but it seemed like whoever set it up, forgot which code it was so they just sent two which is unprofessional and obviously very frustrating on top of moving which is stressful in its self. When trying to send over the utility verification, they instruct you to submit it to your resident portal.. which is literally not an option in the resident portal, and no one I spoke with or my roommate spoke with could tell us how to actually submit it. We sent it to all the emails the company had used to contact us in hopes it would end up where it needed to be because that was our only option since no one had given us an answer.. Then we get an email saying we are going to be charged a non compliance fee and our power will be cut off because we didn’t send the verification. Once again, I call the leasing agent I originally dealt with, and she basically told me any issue I have at this point was not her responsibility to deal with but she did give me the correct email to send it to so fair enough. Now on to the renters insurance issue. We also were told to submit it to the resident portal, which again, is not an option in the portal. I had the same issue with getting the correct email to send it to but Im sure you get the point, no one answers and when they do, they aren’t helpful. We used a 3rd party company and did everything they instructed in the email in terms of how much coverage we needed and sent it to the correct email but again, they hit us with a non compliance fee and told us they would be adding renters insurance to our monthly bill even thought we had insurance and had done everything asked at this point.. But whatever, we have been so frustrated with dealing with this company that we just accepted it. Now maintenance requests.. don’t expect to hear anything for at least a week. We had a plumbing issue within the same month that we moved in and I ended up having to take care of myself because no one had reached out to fix it. Our door knobs also keep falling off, but whatever, that’s an easy fix but still annoying and worth mentioning. Our A/C was out and it’s june and we live in florida and it took them about a week and a half to send anyone out so we had to fix it ourselves… We still let someone come look at it and evidently there was an issue but the man said he couldn’t tell us what the issue was because he works for the leasing company and not us.. He said it was fixed but it’s about 2 weeks later, and it’s out again. We have only lived here since April and we have already had so many difficulties with this company. I strongly suggest you do not rent from them.
I applied for a property, Paid a Mrs. and Mr. fee. $80.00. The next day they told me the property was off the market. I have email correspondence which told me that a refund was being processed. Well to this day, I have not gotten a refund. They are definitely scamming people out of application fees. I would rate a 0 with all of the running around you get from different after being on hold 20-30 minutes for someone to answer and not know what they are talking about.
We paid our 150 and sent all of our information in, and the agent sent an email stating we were missing a paystub; which ok fine so we sent in the missing document, and sent an email to let her know and she only responded with we still need this paystub for a particular pay week. I emailed back with screenshots of the paystub and stated this is the correct pay stub. She will not acknowledge the emails that were sent regarding the information that was sent. It is almost she has an automatic reply of still missing this pay stub. Mind you I have sent in at least 12 not alone my other roommates emails with the “missing information” hence the information is not missing it has been sent highlighted, circled, arrows pointing to the date of the pay period, and when I ask what is it you missing since I sent you the correct dated paystub for the correct pay period. She just send what seems to me an auto reply of still need this paystub for the pay period of the 11th. I am asking for help in getting this resolved, as of this time I feel as though you took our money with no intention of looking at our information. I will be contacting the attorney general today if I am unable to get this resolved.
I applied for a rental home here and filled out everything and paid two $40 application fees. The responded after a few days and all they said was denied. The home is not what I would even call nice, but we needed somewhere quick. There was no reason why we were denied even after asking for one. Ridiculous considering I make well over the 5x the monthly rent they were asking. I would NOT do business with this company.
My experience with Main Street renewal has been the worst and most disappointing experience from a public real estate company.I submitted my application for a rental property on the main street renewal site pay all my fees after 14 days i received an email notification that the property was already rented and was not available. Non of the agents have returned my calls i have left over 8 voice mail and emails in the span of 8 days without a response.I did an independent investigation and noticed that the specific home located at 4128 MISTY MEADOW in Jacksonville Florida had already had a contract in the last 30 days but the property is still is listed on the company website as Available and still showing. Its my personal opinion that agents are collecting and pocketing your application fee as its non refundable.I am extremely disgusted to think that a property management company is still running these type of scams for a simple $40 application fee.Today is April 27th 2021 and the property at 4128 MISTY MEADOW in Jacksonville Florida is still showing on the website as Available. This review is long but i hope i get my point across and the powers that may be should evaluate this property and the company policy.
Nico received my work order (my sink was leaking) he already knew what the issue was and therefore went to Home Depot before coming and was able to get the job done in one visit! Very professional and explained everything to me.
Moving in and moving out, I barely spoke to anyone. Everything was done through email and when you do try to call no one answers and no one calls you back. I just recently moved out and they took half my security deposit for painting and cleaning charges and I’m awaiting an email to explain these charges. I don’t even know if I will receive an email back being that throughout my move out process there were no confirmation emails or anything I was nervous they’d try to claim I never gave them notice. I lived alone in the house for about 6 months but continued to pay for the whole 12 because I could not find a early move out section in the lease and no one answers the phone. These are just a few pictures of the house on move in. No one could do a move in or move out inspection with me due to covid, so I emailed copies of both inspection sheets and never received anything back. Very poor communication from a housing company.UPDATE: It’s been over 15 days and no email back explaining my move out charges. I would never recommend this company.
Been out of the home since May of this year still no security deposit after several calls
My wife and I have spent over 12 plus hours on the phone the last two weeks. The customer service has been less than satisfactory. Multiple different answers. Promises not filled even by there own company rules. The Jacksonville office never answers email request. Phone calls. The company over all needs to look at management roles.
My daughter completed an application for a house that has been vacant for 100+ days and she paid $120 in app fees and on Friday, was told she was approved. Come Monday (as she is preparing to move in), she got an email saying the property was no longer available. They won’t respond to emails or phone calls since then and according to the website the property is still available.People - they take your app fees and that’s it. “Non refundable”. Great scam they have there. “Lindsey” someone is the branch manager and has never returned a single call.I advise y’all to read the reviews and believe every single one of them. I expect to see a refund to my daughter for the whole amount or Ken Amaro and I will be talking soon. You can’t screw hard working, honest people over and not expect consequences.
I wish I can give a ZERO! I applied for a vacant property on 4/18.Received an email from Josh 4/19 Thank you for sending the requested documents. We are currently screening your application and will be in touch in the next 3-5 business days once the application results are available. After the 5 days period, I emailed Josh 3 TIMES with NO RESPONSE, I reached out to the Austin team. They were responsive and advised me there was still no update. On my application status it listed me as primary applicant.Fast forward to now 4/27 I receive a generic email that have completed the document review process. Unfortunately, there is a pending lease on the property and it is no longer available at this time. So, if this was the case why wasnt I informed between the 3-5 day period?! THE JACKSONVILLE office is doing what they want to do and holding property for who they want. This was a horrible Experience!I dont recommend anyone in the Jacksonville area to waste your time with these people! This was Horrible and I am very upset I waited over a week on an update!!! When I was reaching out for an update and response!
We only moved in a week ago and its been a nightmare to work with this company. First, we get here and the house is nowhere close to move in ready. There was mold in the tub and blood on one of the floors. There was other general uncleanliness and disrepair, but everything else seemed minor compared to this. The soonest they will get someone to look at these issues (which we obviously cleaned ourselves) was 2 weeks after we moved. We also cant get a straight answer about which utility companies service this neighborhood and have already been given 2 wrong numbers to call to set up trash/recycling service and still havent received the correct info.**UPDATE: After living here for 5 months and never getting an answer to this, they disconnected our water. MSR never gave us water utility information to set up an account. AVOID AT ALL COSTS**Finally, when my husband spoke with a representative about this property before we signed a lease, he asked about pool access. We were told we would be given access cards. Not only have we not received access cards, but there doesnt even seem to be a pool nearby. We are completely dissatisfied with this experience. The property is completely overpriced for the condition, location, and amenities it provides.
Not great communication when it comes to scheduling maintenance visits. Ive had an open work order for a few weeks & I understand the limited availability due to the holidays but I have been given the run around and it has made me frustrated. Every customer service rep Ive contacted has been nice but they are only allowed to do so much. I think that this company should consider updating their maintenance scheduling protocols and communicating better with the residents.
Bert made our application and moving process go so smoothly! She is so friendly and always willing to help with anything we need!!
I was supposed to move in today but we get a call from some hvac company telling us our ac doesn’t work. Haven’t heard a single word from their local office despite multiple calls and emails. The call center claims they can only send emails to the local office so they try to stick you in this perpetual loop where you can’t get help. Apparently squatters were living in the place just a month agox we weren’t advised at all. We had to beg to be able to tour this place because they wouldn’t let us but we were told we couldn’t cut anything on or touch anything. DO NOT get ANYTHING from these people. They are crooks who will take ur money and run and leave you stuck to find out what’s going on for yourself. The worst decision I’ve made as an adult was renting from this company and I haven’t even got the keys out of the lock box yet.
This company is nothing but a scam. My husband and I put in an application for a house just for it to keep getting canceled and when you called them stay on hold for an hr each time. Then when you get ahold of someone they say they will have a local agent call in 24 to 48 hrs and guess what surprise surprise they never call.
They took my application fee and they never called me back in over 5 business days. I had to log in into the account I made with them and I was denied with no explanation attached to my application. I will never apply here again! Also, they are unprofessional and lack of communication. No wonder most of the homes sit on the market for months... The negative comments on here are true.
Customer service is awful!! Only care about getting your money. I’ve applied to several properties and no one has followed up. I’ve been calling for days and I’ve been getting the run around. They canceled my applications without giving me any explanation. I’m so frustrated because I can’t even get a human on the phone and when I do they transfer me to someone else. Do not apply with them they don’t care about you.
It is a complete pleasure to work with Debra Pappas at Main Street Renewal! Deb is the epitome of a professional when working with vendors. She is very responsive and always has her residents best interest at heart. No matter how busy she may be, she always responds to push things forward. In an industry where issues/breakdowns drive the day, she is a ray of light to work with. Thank you Deb for being a valued partner with IFM Restoration in the Jacksonville Market!
Not professional at all! Still waiting on response regarding money that i have paid to move into one of their properties. Beware before applying for housing with this company!
Kendall & Ms Bert are the best always on top of things in the community . Glad to be a resident of Treeline Trails they make us feel right at home
We applied and got a response quick. Thanks to Bert Briel the transition was simple and stress free. The place looks amazing and it’s pet friendly so was very convenient for our family.
Spoke with agent Marlow on the phone and he was so professional and personable and took the time to answer all of our questions and make us feel comfortable with the process. Highly recommend this company!
I received a house on 3/3/2021. We moved on 06/03 and I sent an email on Sunday 07/07 informing that the house was dirty, that the kitchen sink, the dishwasher are not working, the master sink is not draining, the gate opener the garage doesnt work, the grass is full of insect -and hasnt been cut. I also asked for the installation of a disposal. Im sure they gave me a house without any inspection. And after many phone calls, the maintenance of my house is scheduled for 03/29. It is impossible for me to live in a house without being able to use the kitchen sink or dishwasher. I did not expect this kind of problem with msrenewal. We have never been treated so neglectfully. How can you deliver a home to a new customer in this way? We are very concerned about what it will be like to live a year being treated this way. Ive already called, sent emails, and nothing is done. To make matters worse today I received an email saying that house maintenance is scheduled for 09/04. I really dont know what else to do. I will post this everywhere possible to see if anyone does anything.
The agent Shaniah was very happy to make sure she did everything to solve the issues I was calling about. She listened patiently & confirmed that she understood my issue then found the quickest solution for my issue. She was diligent & thorough. I appreciate all she has done to resolve my concerns.
Unless you live close to the headquarters, I would not recommend. Florida property managers must have bought their license instead of earning it because they are useless. The property itself is not safe for occupancy. Paying 1.5k a month to live in a leaking BRAND NEW house with mold in the baseboards because they are negligent. MainStreet wont own up to what they do to residents yet their contractors rat them out. Youre trapped in your lease despite THEIR multiple lease violations. Be very careful renting with them.
If anyone have a voucher and will like to rent from them you will have to stay on them. I been telling them from jump I have to be out of my old property by the end of this month & they told the inspector with Jacksonville Housing Authority that the property Im about to move-in will not be ready for inspection in til Friday. So now i been emailing & calling them no answer or response. This situation is so frustrating now cause i dont know what me and my kids going to do at this point.
Current resident. 3 days in. I read the reviews and saw the warnings. I ignored them because the house was cute and new. We have been without any working toilet for 24 hours now and they won’t call us back or schedule a plumber. When you turn on the shower the toilet gargles and bubbles. Same with the sinks. Run a sink listen to toilet bubble. My husband and I Have called multiple times and they don’t care. The toilets won’t flush and can’t be used. We’re a family of four with 2 kids and family visiting to help us move in. I’ve moved a lot (military family) never has this bad of an experience. I emailed over a week ago about there not being a garage door opener like promised. Still haven’t gotten a response from that. Don’t do it. You’ll regret it. I promise.
So I and my husband put in and application for a home I have a week and 4 days I call almost everyday to get apdate about my application. I have to be out of my current home on the 1 of may I cant get a respond from them so thats $100 cant waith so I have to spend more money to reapply with another agency
When choosing to rent, we chose Main Street Renewal mainly because of the pet policy. While some companies charge an initial pet deposit, they also require a Monthly Pet rent which Main Street did not. They only charged the initial Pet Deposit per pet for the lifetime of renting with Main Street Renewal.Once we chose to go with them, the Show Yourself feature was very nice in that we could see the potential houses we wanted to see on our own time, although it was somewhat frusterating because some of the houses we wanted to look at had already been rented out and they were still on the website and still had the lock box on the door. Once we found the house we wanted the approval process was fairly quick and were able to move in within 5 days after submitting the deposit. The house we got looked like it had been freshly updated and we are very happy with the house we got, it is very fresh and clean.
Thanks So Much Avery🙏🏽
Ashley is the best..Smooth easy process
DO NOT RENT FROM THIS COMPANY. My husband and I were given 30 days notice to vacate our current home because the owner wanted to sell. We found a rental home in our desired area and using the email provided, on Feb. 18th paid $1695 deposit plus $43 fee on the home. That was the total amount that their system said we owed. We asked if we could move in immediately, so that we wouldn’t have to rush the move, and we’re told that we had to wait at least five days to start moving. We were given a move in date of Feb 26. After sending us the deposit email, the company attached a reply to it, stating that we needed to pay an additional $2200 prior to move in ( first month’s rent, prorated rate, and pet deposit). I paid the monies on Feb. 24th, the day I saw the attachment to the original email. On moving day, with a truck full of our belongings, they informed me that I had to wait an additional 3 to five business days from the time of the second payment, ti ensure the funds cleared. I explained how the email had been attached and subsequently overlooked ( my fault) but I could provide proof from my bank where the funds were withdrawn. I also had a moving truck sitting outside of the home THAT I ALREADY PAID TO MOVE INTO, and only 2 days to complete the move as Feb is a short month. I explained that my family and I will LITERALLY be homeless if we can’t move in by the first. Spoke with several people, yet NO ONE would help me. I even asked if we could just put our belongings in the garage so we could at least couch surf or stay at a hotel in the interim. They couldn’t help me with that either. Asked if I could get my money back so I could find something else, and was told that I had a legally binding lease ( which started on Feb 26th) and they would not refund my money. So basically, I spent $4000 to move into a home that they refused to allow me access to, despite the fact that I have a valid lease and have paid everything required, yet will be homeless until they decide I am worthy enough to move in. I wasted $600 on movers who had to take our things to a storage unit that I was forced to rent, because I have no home. And..... you can’t reach anyone with any authority to “generate” a code to the key box by phone (its literally a master lockbox), only by email, and you have to wait for them to respond. In my situation, they were kind enough to make my email “high priority “ on the Friday I was supposed to move in and told me I should hear back from them in 1 to 3 business days. So....Monday at the earliest, despite the fact that I will be forced into homelessness on Sunday, the first of the month. I have a small child and a teenager fighting cancer, I have depleted my funds in order to move, and not one person with any morals willing to help me at this company. Not one. Their “process” overrides basic human decency. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with.
We have been working with Main Street for more than five years. Our company is very proud to be part of the Main Street team. With so many options that there are in the market, we would always prefer to work with Main Street because of their commitment to do things correctly.
Current resident! Will not renew as much as we pay for rent our A/C and heater should not be breaking every other week. We are afraid to touch the thermostat because it might trip the unit and cut it off completely. When we first moved in we received no guidelines of what would result in fines. Most of the neighborhood leave their trash bins on the side of their houses but we were fined for not having trash bins behind the house or in the garage which we weren’t told they didn’t want us to leave bins there. Garage door is busted won’t close all the way and is busted on both sides letting bugs inside the garage wasn’t fixed or replaced before we moved in. Front door seal needs to be replaced can literally see under the front door also letting bugs in. This house is a nightmare!
We’ve had issues with the company since moving into our house on 2/1. We had a broken fridge for over a month. We had our master bathroom inoperable for over a month we have a leak in our dish washer. We’ve shuffled out expenses that they are avoiding to reimburse. My husband and I keep getting the runaround when we want to talk to someone regarding these matters. They don’t respond to email requests. They’re is no communication amongst staffing- phone representatives, property manager, technicians. We’ve literally spoken to a multitude of people here and in Texas (not sure why they even transferred the call to to Texas when we are Florida residents). They don’t give any names of higher ups, there are no direct numbers to the department and no one reaches out when they say they will. We are still dealing with issues pertaining to this house and it’s April. They refuse to show us the inspection report they say exists that states everything in the house is functioning. I’ve never experienced such a low caliber of competence and mediocre service in my life. I’m literally at the breaking point of withholding rent, hiring a lawyer, and breaking contract. Don’t get involved with this hot mess of a dysfunctional establishment.
This is the only company that asks for your credit card information just to see a property, is very clearly a scam! Do not give anyone your credit card info ever :) Glad I read the reviews about this company before moving forward!
Called to request some maintenance be done on my home. I had the distinct pleasure of speaking to customer service representative, Lilly. Thank you Lily for providing your listening skills, your knowledge of the business, and offering a solution to the problem I presented. I really hope our call was being recorded so your supervisor can use our interaction as an example of how to provide legendary customer service. Hopefully your supervisor and door company will recognize you among your peers and in your pocket.
Poor maintenance system, serious or emergency issues have been left unattended for weeks at a time. The customer service department may only contact the maintenance department by email. Would not recommend leasing from them unfortunately 😔 a/c has been broke for 9 days in the middle of summer in Florida! We are told unless it is 90 degrees in our house we cant expedite service. its currently 87 degrees in our house so we are almost there i guess. The maintenance department is lacking and customer services has no regards for tenants well being.
DONT start the application process at all they dont respond their unprofessional they tell you long as you have no evictions felonies or bankruptcies you have 100% chance of getting the home LIES they rejected me over a medical bill wait times on the phone is horrible email respond time is horrible the home was lovely but not the service theyre providing
I have been trying to call this company for a week now to rent a home from them but no one ever answers the phone. After seeing all of the bad reviews I dont think Ill be renting from them and taking my business elsewhere. I dont want to rent from a company where I cant get in touch with anyone and all they do is respond with a generic email. You can tell by their response to these reviews that they dont take care of their tenants. This will be a hard pass for me and I wouldnt recommend them to anyone.
At first it was a nightmare move in. House was filthy and a lot of the appliances and lighting fixtures were inoperable. Since the move in, I have been in contact with Ms. Bennett and she has been absolutely wonderful with addressing these concerns. Everything is currently being addressed and taken care of in a professional and timely manner. Wouldve given 5 stars, but the company unfortunately didnt care to clean the place or electrical check before I moved in.2 month update(10/7/20). Would not recommend renting ANY of their properties. The cheap and often botched construction leaves things pretty well unprofessional. Very disappointed.
Customer service is great but their applications and leasing team are terrible
We really do love this place. It’s really nice on the outside, but also the inside. The garage isn’t very big so we park outside, but other than that it’s perfect for us. We’re a family of 5 and live in one of the 3/2.5 floor plans and it’s perfect. The price is very fair for what comes with it. I would recommend to anyone.
We have been leasing for about a year. Most of it, dealing with problems (some of them still unsolved): pipes, leaking and filtration. Months trying to get solved the latest one. Maintenance requests and several calls have been made, each time a different excuse. No commitment at all with their customers.
What an amazing company to work with. For the last 4 years, I have been working with MSR in the Jacksonville area. Deb Pappas is a breath of fresh air to work with day in and day out. She genuinely cares about each employee, team member, vendor partner, and most importantly, her residents. I would highly recommend Main Street Renewal in Jacksonville if you are looking for a great home and a great price!
I would say Radine was very helpful.
I spoke with Gabby today about several account questions. Gabby was helpful and knowledgeable. She provided exactly the information I needed in a timely manner. I appreciated her service and appreciate the prompt response time of Main Street Renewal. Im happy to be renting from a company like this.
Ms Esmeralda was very patient with answering all my questions. Thank you.
Fast and application process Ashley was awesome !!!!
If I can give less than 0 stars I would. We signed a leased and paid a prorated rent from the 23rd of July and have yet been able to move in to our home as they gave us an apartment with broken a/c and have yet any update on repairs. I am extremely disappointed and currently already counting the days for my lease to end so I can move. I have to always call to get any type of communication as no one think is important to call me or respond to my emails. They love you during application process but once you lock in to the contract they dont care. Oh and did I fail to mention they didnt clean my new home. I normally dont like to write negative reviews but just dont wish this on anyone else. So please walk your unit prior to signing a lease with them.
Burt is a person that takes her job seriously and goes above and beyond to make sure things are taken care of.
This company is a SCAM PLEASE DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME THEY JUST WANT 40$ and then kick you to the curb
Very helpful staff! I spoke with, either Carissa or Clarissa, about rent pay. She was very helpful! Upon my further questions, I was sent to leasing dept where Gabriella was an awesome help as well! Very informative and helpful!
During Covid I have lost income and I really appreciate Main Street Renewal for working with me.Theyve been terrific!
So I like that everything could be done remotely from start to finish. But while I was applying for the home they were going through a location move and the phones were down a lot. There were times I had questions that I needed an immediate answer to but had to wait for an email response. Some of it was the application process itself so waiting for those responses took 4-5 days. Average response after that was between 1-3 days. Then after being approved someone else began to contact me regarding my move in. Which I guess is ok I just would have liked to know that upfront. Some of my questions could have been directed to her instead. Now once I moved in and had service requests that needed to be made, they were handled quickly and efficiently which I liked. Their upfront communication wasnt the best for my experience which is why I gave them three stars.
Main Street has been a great rental agency to rent from. The process has been completely easy from looking at the house to leasing. I have had no issues at all. I would highly recommend this company to others. I hope that I will be able to make this a long term rental until I decide to buy.
Everyone at MSR has been so helpful and polite especially my representative Bert B! It’s really refreshing in an industry where people are quick to get you off the phone with minimal info, that she went out of her way to make sure my questions were answered and problems were fixed! I sent an email with a website problem and received a phone call in minutes. Thank you! Definitely recommend if you’re looking to rent.
I haven’t move yet just sign. My lease but I could tell you this comp from the min That I explain to lady that I just got scam by other comp I was scared to apply the agent explain the process that a soon I finish the call l when apply for one If they house then after I was a assign a agent he name is Barrie Bennett this agent every time I had a question or a concern a soon I email him he will reply back right way that made the process so quick easy and the most important l felt safe that I was working with a real company looking to rent from then for the next few years and buy my house with then when aim ready
Spoke to ESMERELDA in maintenance she was a delight, very helpful and fast cared about my problem and needs
I would advise anyone looking to rent to look elsewhere because since my first interaction with MSR its been trouble. The first house my husband and I found I made enough by myself to cover the 3x the income. I got an email saying someone else had rented the property but we were free to keep using their site. I emailed the person my husband and I had been in communication with and they never got the email with my pay stubs. Apparently because the email address I was given was the office email, and since everyone was working remotely there was no one to check it. We found another place and had the lease drawn up. We changed our minds and went forward with another house. We were sent over the lease for the new house twice with the wrong address. In a rush to move out of the apartment we were living in we just signed it. Two months later we are asked to resign the lease with the correct address. Then a few days later sign it again because it wasnt completely correct. Then a few days later again because the leasing amount was wrong. At this point we have signed the lease 5 times. Last month I was charged with two months of renters insurance. My renters insurance information was sent over a week after we moved in. And even though we not at fault we still were forced to pay for two months of insurance we didnt need. Because I paid rent early and the charge wasnt there when I paid. This month we got two utility charges. We have never paid rent of utilities late and after spending 10 minutes on the phone with MSR and being transferred twice I still have no answer I just have an email address. And other person to jerk me around. The next time this company screws me over Im moving because I can’t take the extra stuff and bs charges every month.
Barrie has been great and exceptionally helpful through the leasing process. He has answered every question I’ve had and been very informative.
As a Property Manager placing tenants, Ive worked with Bert on a few different occasions and she is an amazing resource. Thanks for being awesome!
I found the process with MSR and my agent Barrie Bennett quick, simple, and efficient. If I had questions or needed anything it was taken care of almost instantaneously. I recommend anyone looking for a home to go through MSR!!!
