Learned how to swim with the help of the wonderful staff in the gym. You can walk into Walmart, get what you need, use the machine to check and never say a word to the staff. But not this gym. Its not just the place and good equipment, the people make it better.

Great gym, always clean, they open very early in the morning and they have all the equipment necessary to workout.

Clean. Huge plenty of place to swim laps.

Great place to do some strength training and has a ton of options for cardio. The weights are lacking a little for deadlifts but doable. I’m giving this place a three stars because it was my first time here and the lady at the front desk gave me an attitude when I asked if there was a check in station. Mind you Ive never been here before. I’m only here on det and I don’t know how things work around here so that’s why I asked. Not to mention she gave me even more attitude when she asked to look at my I.D., and she was looking at it as if it was fake or something and from what I know they check IDs before people even enter the base. There was no need to be rude whatsoever especially when someone asks about something they don’t know. I’ll go here again just because I have no choice when I’m on a detachment out here, but I think the customer service needs a lot of improvement.

This gym is up there with some of the best Ive seen on a military base. Plenty of equipment, showers are hot, the sauna works most of the time and the pool is heated. It helps that they always have clean towels even during peak times. The staff is very friendly too.

Great staff

This location is smaller than the fitness center. If used at the right time, it allows for a cozy and focused workout. The really is not floor space so, those that want to do floor exercises or multiple movements with dumbbells are better off using the fitness center.The equipment is alright, but if money is limited it is the fitness center that will get the newest equipment.The pool hours for lap swim is limited because it belongs to the AW school. Hours are restricted to when they are not using it.

I loved working out here. It had lots of up beat music that helped me focus. I would definitely come here again. This place was absolutely amazing. I loved it here.

This Gym is far beyond better than the gym at mayport. From quality all the way to customer service! I feel very welcomed every single morning I enter and exit the gym. Love the staff there and definitely will continue to exercise there.

Small gym but you can get a good workout done.

The gym is well equipped and has its busy times. The indoor pool is located in an older building but useable.

Its a workout facility. Thats about it. Figured a base of this size would have a decent gym. Im a little disappointed.

Great exercise programs, for every fitness level

It was really cool and had a lot of cool equipment, including this sort of type escalvator thing which of course did get tiring over a while, but basically in all, it was a really nice place

They finally have wifi!!! Kinda old but I like that they have a sauna and the pool water aerobics is fantastic.

Good equipment, wish they open longer hours

Spent most of my time at the basketball court. The staff was nice and friendly and the gym was clean.

In the smaller gym adjacent to the main building, the mats in the HIT room are disgusting and so is the floor. Those mats are really old and damaged and need to be replaced and the floor is always filthy. Besides that everything is fairly good.

Awesome gym love it thank the Lord Jesus for it pool and steam room universal awesome place.

Rocks. How/why am I doing a review on a military sponsored entity?

Very old and lacking equipment. Inside has a musty/rusty smell because the age of the building. Equipment in the very small weight room is covered in a rusty residue. I suggest going to the fitness center behind the gym instead.

Clean place, but no ac in the pool area, sometimes waiting for my sons classes to finish it would be pretty hot
