I was not happy with the experience because the reason I called for the service was for standing water in my dishwasher, which I had previously observed. Apparently, the water had drained but, instead of the repair person stating that he didnt see any water left in the dishwasher when he looked, he went through all of the services and charged me the full fee. My gripe is that I wouldnt have a problem paying for the service call because he indeed came out but, if the problem wasnt there the first time you looked, why would you do the full diagnostic? What are you diagnosing? I called the company and made a recommendation/complaint. I did not feel that the manager was receptive. She just told me he did his job. Therefore, I could not be refunded. She only wanted to offer a free diagnostic for future appliances. I cant believe it.

Had Hartmans diagnose problem with ice maker on a Whirlpool refrigerator. While the price to get it fixed was more than I wanted to pay, I found them to be very professional. They arrived within the time they gave me.

One of the worst appliances company. They work with Home warranty company American Homeshield and they were supposed to repair my cooktop, refrigerator and the microwave and from April 20 th still today NO response after 2 different guy’s showed up and mentioned it should not take this much time..These kind of companies spoiling the American Homeshield reputation too. They need to think twice and use some other companies who’s not lazy and help American Homeshield customers quickly and responsibly. Since 1 month 17 days means we see their ignorance easily

With the shortage in new refrigerators, appliance repair folk are staying very busy. Most just went to voicemail. Hartmans had a nice lady at their office who scheduled my service and then Marcus did a very good job fixing my fridge. Thankfully, it wasnt the compressor. Fixing the fridge was more expensive than Id hoped (would imagine thats always true :)), but was much cheaper and faster than getting a new one and ours is working great.. hopefully for another 7 years.

Our clothes dryer was making such a noise that you could hear it on the sidewalk outside the house. David arrived on time and as soon as he turned on the machine said he knew what the problem was. He took the cover off and showed me the component that needed replacing. The part had to be shipped in for the following week. Once installed our 20+ yr old Maytag is once again running like new. The entire repair process was very professional with excellent communication from the company and a most impressive, knowledgeable, and experienced repair tech; and, a reasonable repair cost. I initially called Hartman because of the numerous positive reviews on Yelp and Google. Glad to say the reviews are spot on and I will not hesitate to contact them if I have issues with any of my other appliances in the future.

I cannot say enough good things about Hartmans Appliance Repair Service. Our Samsung fridge was making all kinds of unsettling noises, day and night. Marcus arrived at my residence on March 6th, and was very thorough in his diagnosis. It turned out that the problem involved R600a gas refrigerant which is highly flammable. The line that is crimped and possibly leaking and causing the lid noises, is in a sealed system and is inaccessible for repair. The fridge is 4 months old. Marcus was just great, is the best tech I have ever dealt with. I now have a narrative report that I can show Samsung, and hopefully get some kind of refund. Never again will I ever buy a Samsung fridge. I will always call on Hartman for any appliance problem.

Overall it was a decent experience. Im glad my washer is now working as it should. The reason for the mid tier review is as follows:1) The service tech was about an hour and a half late for the initial diagnostic2) The cost to replace two suspension rods was quite high (around $300)That said, the service tech was very friendly and professional. Outside of the timing not being what expected and the cost being quite high, it was a pretty okay experience and Im thankful for the stress free repair.

The repairman, Marcus J., was very polite and professional. My appointment window was very late (6 - 8:30pm) so after 8:35pm not hearing from anybody, I thought noone was going to show up. But a few minutes later the repairman came and repaired my dryer and did not leave until almost 9:30 pm and he still had to go to work the next day. My repairman was scheduled with in 24 hours. He was prompt and polite and knew what he was about.

Service was very professional, timely, and so forth. The problem I have is with their business model. It is a 93$ diagnostic fee, which is refundable if you do the repairs. However, the repair was quoted to me at over 400$ - more than enough to just buy a new washer. I cant help but feel that this is somewhat predatory, and I would be very interested to know what percentage of their business is just collecting diagnostic fees. Wouldnt use again.

They replaced a part in our GE refrigerator and thought we needed to replace more parts. At Hartmans you talked ro Christine and set an appt.Hartmans tech, Marcus, heard my wife mention a new door gasket, just as we had told the others, looked at the new gasket and told us that was the problem, fixed it, and did not charge for the service call.I will ONLY call Hartman in the future and encourage you do the same if you want great communication, top notch skilled service, and honest and trust worthy business practices. I had trouble with my Samsung refrigerator for the last couple of years. (It’s only 5 yes old) This was my last ditch effort to not have to purchase a new one. I’d had 2 different companies out previously one did what he called a temporary fix and the second one didn’t even attempt a repair simply telling my husband a few things we could try. I called Hartmans and the customer service was responsive and friendly. Marcus came out and was able to tell me within 2 mins what the problem was and that he could repair it right then because he had the part on the truck. He was informative, friendly and knowledgeable. Within a couple of hours it was working like new saving me a great deal of money. Cost was also very reasonable.I highly recommend.

This has been the best appliance repair experience I have had in a long time. I called Hartman’s after seeing a good review on a community website. I was impressed at the customer service and communication the company offered on the phone. I called Friday and was given a Monday morning appointment to fix my ice maker. The tech, Marcus, arrived on time and was knowledgeable and diligent. He was very informative about the problem, why it happened, and how he could fix it. The repair was accomplished without incident, everything was cleaned up well and I was amazed and delighted with the bill. The service call fee was rolled over into the price of the repair which used to be standard practice but is frequently not. I was totally pleased with this company and the services that were provided and very impressed by the knowledge and demeanor of their staff, especially Marcus. I am delighted that I have finally found a “go-to” appliance repair company. I won’t go anywhere else.

Although their website says that they repair freezers the lady on the phone today said that they do not. They only work on major household appliances? You shouldnt say you repair freezers on your web page if you only fix refrigerator freezer combos.

Marcus is the best! He can fix anything!! I had a horrible experience with a warranty company, getting the run around for 3 weeks and ordering parts without ever seeing the machine. Hartman came out within 48 hours and Marcus was able to fix the problem within an hour without any additional parts needed to order.

The scheduling of service was handled smoothly, the technician texted me approx. 30 minutes prior to arrival within the service window. Marcus was professional and efficient. He clearly described the problem and discussed options for repair. I will definite use Hartman’s again!

We had an absolute terrible experience with this company. Our refrigerator stopped working on a Sunday evening, I called Hartman Appliance repair the next day and they sent a technician out. He assessed the situation and advised it was the circulation fan and quoted us a price of $468.00 to repair and we had to pay half that and he advised us he would be out the next day to replace it. He did not arrive until later in the afternoon and installed the new fan at which he then determined the fan was not the problem, so he reinstalled the old fan and said it was the board in the door. I had done some research on my own and asked him if it may perhaps be the main control board to which he replied, without even looking at this board, that it was more than likely the one he said. So again he said he would order the new one and come the next day to install it. The next day he arrived at around 6:00pm and installed that board and again the problem was not corrected. I would also like to add the tech did not even know how to remove the board and I had to tell him how to remove it. He then looked at the main control board, which I had mentioned the day before, and advised me that he thought it was that one. At this point I had had enough with this company and took care of the matter myself. I called the company the next business day and requested a refund of all my money except the service call and was advised they would not refund us the diagnostic fee and I advised them that all their tech did was change parts and did no diagnosis, I had provided him with the diagnosis. They did refund the cost of the part.

So happy we used Hartman’s Appliance Repair! They worked with us on price and schedule for repair. It was a last minute repair so we can sell our home. I am very grateful and will recommend them to anyone needing an appliance repair.
