My daughter was left abandoned at a gate in the airport in Chicago O’Hara . She was a special needs traveler and listed as unattended minor with escort services . She was left at a gate and missed a flight abandoned and American Airlines passenger services supervisor Joseph tried sending her alone to a hotel for 15 hours . She cannot read or write and is speech impaired she functions as a 4 year old . This is pathetic . American acts like it’s no big deal ! Parents don’t trust your children with American . Your children could be abandoned come up missing or DIE . This is a terrible feeling when your child is all alone and you have to fight to get them to do what they are supposed to do and monitor and be with her . I’m so upset and this airline won’t do anything . I just want to warn parents and family members do not fly with American if you need escort service for disabled passengers or unattended minors . Thankfully 15 hours later she finally made it home but it took 3 hours of me calling police and advocating to get her help .
Horrible in every possible way. Stood in line for 2 hours due to their online systems being down to check in for days. Missed the flight. Horrible
My last 4 flights with AA were overall decent considering the flight themselves. However the flight attendants have to be some of the rudest people Ive ever met. Also, the planes are packed full of people. There is questionable sanitation practices in between. Thankfully my flights arrived and departed safely. But everything else about the flight was not enjoyable.
I was running very late for a flight I hadnt even booked, with 2 bags to check. The ground staff had every right to turn me away but worked as quickly as they could to get me a ticket and my bags on board, with a smile. Super helpful! Thank you very much
Steer clear. They left me stranded in Seattle. Canceled my flight at the last minute. There was a 4 hour hold for customer service. Absolutely no one to help. Expensive tickets that they canceled on a whim when Im 2500 miles from home.
AA was great with my unaccompanied minor! No lines. I love JIA
Most of the people that work for american airlines were friendly only one person was rude.
American Airlines at Jacksonville International Airport is great! Easy check-in kiosk and ticket printer. Friendly attentive staff on top of customer questions and very happy to help. A little issue between luggage sizing - what fit sizing for carry on to leave Jacksonville to Detroit as carry-on was confiscated and taken as checked luggage in Detroit on the way back to Florida. That totally freaked my son out as this was his first flight experience and he was flying alone (16yr old). He totally tripped out over it because he was really afraid his bag would be lost or sent somewhere else.**I think a little more explanation to unaccompanied minors could sooth the anxiety a little especially for kids who are traveling alone for the first time.Other than that small hiccup the experience was great.
Staff was very helpful, since I needed a wheelchair. No questions asked.
The young porter who wheeled me from check-in to security and then to gate was the kindest most helpful young man. Everyone one was awesome.
How else would you fly these days
AA at JAX is great. Friendly staff.
We had a very kind hearted man on the American Airlines shelter. He was very welcoming and we got all the information we needed for our flight he was the best person who works for an airline that I have ever met his name is Harold Muñoz. He truly deserves all the recognition and got everything under control in the situation. Thank goodness he was there to help us with everything. I had a bad view on American Airlines due to a lady named Rebeca she was working on the American Airline desk at the time of my flight. She gave us the wrong paper and the wrong information on a flight. She does not know the difference between FRA being Frankfurt airport and not France. She made me and my family fill out a form about France when we were not even flying to France. I was surprised that a women working at an airport does not know the abrivations such as FRA. LOL good luck if you have Rebecca help you because you will not be helped and she will mess up your entire flight and she was very rude. Due to Harold Muñoz he really helped me and my family I will definitely be purchasing from American Airline again because of his help
Terrible.. they hold me up 3 hours for no reason. by that time the plane was already flawn. Then manager came to apolgize. delayed 24 hrs for not even a valid reason.
It was a safe flight and the view was phenomenal 🤩🤩🤩
Friendly and efficient.
Good price on ticket
Tried to charge my wife & I to sit together when there were lots of open seats together ... they wanted to upcharge us for worse seats ... #ComonAmerican you can do better.
Booked my flight a month ago. Had to pay $30 × 5 for seat assignments for my wife and I to sit next to our 3 children, one of which is disabled. I checked in for our flight today to find out our seat assignments were given to someone else, and now we are spread out all over the plane. So far no one at American has been helpful...
I took a flight to Minneapolis to see my kid .I spent about 8 hours in the airport waiting for my flight .It was very clean and it was easy and fast to check myself in.
Other than another person taking my wheelchair, I called ahead for and walking to very back of the plane with mobility issues due to Muscular Dystrophy. It was ok for very first time flying. Was ridiculous to have to walk so far when handicapped and caused me more pain by straining my muscles, which causing them to break down sooner. I paid the price and only flew because I can not drive distances
Sending my granddaughter back home safely, after a wonderful summer together.
American Airlines was very helpful and available for question and assisted me getting from one plane to another.
Awesome
Ive flown American Airlines out of JIA multiple times in the last 4 years, usually on the way to Miami. The staff is courteous and professional. The planes are well-maintained and outfitted. I looks like there have been one or two people that had bad experiences, but I do not think those represent the regular performance of the airline or its employees.
I have flown many airlines. American has its issues from time to time. However, they are the best I have traveled with.
Our experience with American Airlines was a mixed bag. We paid $130 to check a bag because we over efficiently packed one bag as a couple so instead of $30, $130. Another thing I found troubling was the way they treat economy customers who dont pay to pick seats, sign up for their credit card or fly first class. I personally feel that everyone should be treated equally on every flight as far as customer service is concerned. Our economy tickets left us feeling like inconvenient peasants because we chose to allocate our travel expenses to destination experiences over the over priced seating selection - didnt we already pay for a ticket? Oh but lets nickel and dime us on everything (luggage fees, seat selections, flight change fees, etc, etc, etc). We were even told at JAX that we couldnt get them to coordinate a seat change so my husband and I could fly together so we asked another customer and they graciously obliged. Im disappointed that a company with American in its name treats customers so disparately all quite deliberately based on bottom line.On a brighter note, the flight attendants and pilots were great as were the staff at the Charlotte airport.
Almost always have had good flights. And your not realy a traveller untill youve had your luggage lost once or twice. LoL.
Professional people co operative.
Tuesday October 9th 2018.American Airlines flight 2433 DFW/JAX was unpleasant and demanding training to be held. As an Asian American checking onboard the flight, I felt discriminated. The female scanned the boarding pass of the passenger before me and after me. When it was my turn she waved at the machine, signaling self-service and just stood there! On the flight, I was zone 5 for seat 7E almost the last one to board. I was told wait one because a First Class passenger didn’t have space for their bag and might have to use the over head bin in economy class directly over my assigned seat. The flight attendant didn’t greet me on board or leaving. The only words I heard was “BYE” from the pilot yelling it from the cockpit.I would have given this flight a 0 star rating.Expected a better trained crew and service. Disappointed.
I FEEL GOOD,WHEN EVER I TRAVEL,👍👍👍👍
I had to speak to the very unprofessional person at the JAX airport. For no reason she starts saying hurtful words to me without me saying anything. Her and her coworker were saying mean things to me thinking that I don’t speak Spanish. So my number was AA3481, Gate C10, date 24JUL725. And I’m a priority number.
This is airline has the poor customer service of any company I have ever interacted with. I purchased a ticket to Brazil during Zica virus outbreak and had a letter from a doctor to cancel prior to take off. My refund request has been ignored numerous time. I settled for travel vouchers for half the amount of the tickets because of a $600 rebook price and reserved another ticket from this dysfunctional organization to only receive 1 of the 2 vouchers that I was promised. It took 10 days of 24 hour response emails because you cannot speak with anyone. On each occasion, they did not even review the documentation and 4 hours on hold with reservations who cannot talk to customer service who cannot talk to refunds. I guarantee they dont even check this review or care.
Arrived at the Jacksonville, FL airport to check in with American Airlines. I went to the counter and a brunette large set American Airlines agent and another by the name of Roberta were both very rude, sloppy dressed. It seems that American Airlines has dropped their standards when training their employees on CSR skills. Also, on all 4 flights to and from the airline stewardeses were sloppy, messy hair, uniforms looked not fresh and no personality.American Airlines CEO needs to step up and take notice and make some changes to improve their appearance, skills and service.American Airlines CEO needs to
Jerks! Very unorganized and extremely rude. Maybe short staff is the issue. Everyone seemed confused even the agents.
Nice to always fly with this airline, very helpful and friendly employees
