What a pleasant surprise my recent trip with Allegiant was! I needed to fly to Orlando for a long weekend work trip and I was apprehensive about booking this budget fare, knowing that everything would be an upcharge, even carry on bags. I neednt have worried.While the service is streamlined and efficient, it is still good. The attendants were friendly and the plane was on time.Speaking of the plane, it was modern and spacious with extra wide aisle space and comfortable seats.And it wasnt a tiny little Buddy Holly killing plane either!I will definitely continue to fly Allegiant.
I used to love Allegiant Airlines. Unfortunately, this is the second time in a row that I have flown with them recently where there were multiple flight delays without any explanations or updates beyond a vague text. I have a 4 year old with autism who was patiently waiting for over 6 hours for her first plane ride.A very rude and untidy dressed girl informed us in the most monotonous tone that our flight was cancelled and started arguing with an elderly woman in front of everyone. She even told her that if she didnt like it she should just go home!Im usually a very easygoing person, but I actually stood up from my chair when I heard that and had to walk away before I lost my temper. No one has been manning their phones for the last 4 days (Ive tried to call), and Im very upset and disappointed in the company. We were also offended that the girl was treating the passengers like an inconvenience when she literally just sat there for 6 hours and got paid.
Our plane has mechanical issues, so they are bringing in another plane 5 hours later without compensation. I forgot. We did get $8. This type of service doesn’t lend itself to frequent flyers

3 employees work the Jacksonville fl terminal. So when they lost our bags containing our 2 year olds nebulizer and medication on a return flight to jax it took a hour and a half just to speak to one of allegiants contractor employees. The phone line provided dosnt result in a live person its just a voicemail box to let the small amount of allegiant personnel sift through while you remain struggling for answers to the location of your checked bag. So now we are bagless with no clue to the location or status of our missing checked luggage. All we can do is leave a voicemail with allegiant hoping they will follow up and return our bag at their convenience. Its definitely worth the discounted airfare if you have no timeline to uphold or conserns over your personal property.
Spent 50 minutes on the phone to find out that they wouldnt change my sons flight for free even though it was due to a site error. So that $75 fee is sending us back to Southwest.
Swear to god you are the WORST airline I have ever seen in my life. This is my first and last time. Delayed more than 3 hours and still did not depart yet!!!!!
Worst airplane Ive ever been on. The seats are like folding chairs with a little bit of cushion. I would never fly it again, I dont care how cheap it is. Like the old saying goes you get what you pay for.
