I purchased a A/C unit 7mos ago, I began having issue with the unit after 6mos. When the unit was initially installed, it ran perfectly, then it began making a loud noise continuously, running all night. As of now (meaning I just had a tech address the issue today) Im very satisfied with the outcome.

On a Saturday, a tenant notified me her AC was not working. I called 2 other companies; one was not able to come until Sunday, the other promised a technician would call me back, but no one ever did. After a couple hours of waiting, I called Waychoff’s, who immediately scheduled a technician to arrive within a few hours. Erick called me before he arrived (on time), called me back with the diagnosis, solution and estimate. Within an hour, the tenant happily notified me the AC was working. Great responsiveness and professionalism from Erick. I will definitely call Waychoff’s first the next time.

Waychoff’s has serviced my existing HVAC system for 3 years. I called for service and even on a Monday in summertime was able to get an appointment the same day. It was time to replace rather than what was needed to repair so that’s when I met Justin. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and didn’t pressure me. The prices were great and I know my installation tomorrow will be done right! Great company and great employees!

Had a great experience! Eric came out and explained all that was involved in moving my AC unit. He was responsive to my follow up questions and incredibly helpful.Two men came out and worked so hard all day to get the job complete and it looks so good now!Upon leaving, the AC pump stopped working. Shawn was very professional and respectful of Covid-19 safety protocols. He went the extra customer service mile to explain adding a cup of bleach followed by a cup of water keeps the condensate line clear and showed me how to do it. Shawn also explained the plastic water diverter we had under the outside drain line was actually keeping the water from draining fully. A thank you to Waychoff’s for their honesty scheduling our free service after our original install and renewing our annual service contract now rather than last Nov. We had previously requested Shawn to be our technician and highly recommend him and Waychoff’s.Shawn was back for our second service as part of outbound maintenance contract. Once again, excellent and professional work and customer service.

HIGH LABOR CHARGESI had a compressor failure and called Waychoff because they install it in the first place. They told me there would be an $86.00 diagnostic fee and they were quick to respond with an excellent technician. The technician determined that I had a bad compressor fan motor, a bad capacitor and a bad surge suppressor for the compressor. Note: They were indeed bad. I have a warranty on the unit that covered the cost of the parts but not the labor. To change the capacitor which took 20 minutes resulted in a $109.00 labor charge. To change the fan motor which took 25 minutes of work and 40 minutes to go get the part resulted in a $291.00 labor charge and to change the surge protector that took 20 minutes of work resulted in a 190.00 labor charge. A total of $590.00 for the 3 parts in labor only for work that took 1.5 hours and 40 minutes of back and forth travel to get the motor. Note: if he had had the motor on the truck it would still have been $291.00 for the labor rate. NOW THIS IS EXCESSIVE LABOR RATES. When I questioned the high labor rate with the office, I was that the labor rates are fixed by the part not time.

I returned home from vacation to find my ac was not cooling. Saturday afternoon and I was stressed about finding someone. A neighbor recommended this company. When I set up the appointment I was told the technician would be at my house between 7 and 9pm and he would call before arriving. 6:40 I received a call from Trace that he was on his way about 30 minutes out. As soon as he arrived, he began to work. My husband is gone a lot and many companies take advantage of that. Trace was a breath of fresh air! He gave me a run down of my options, suggested a solution that would allow me to have my AC through the weekend and would ensure the problem gets fixed permanently as well at the most cost effective option to me. Trace explained things I could understand (I do have a basic knowledge of HVAC). He was super patient with my 1.5 year old being super into what he was doing. Not only did he get my AC cooling in less than an hour, he offered to have the schedulers call me to set up him coming during the week to check everything. I laid my little guy down and by the time I was done, my phone was ringing to schedule. I like that the company sticks to their word and really helps to ensure that the customer is taken care of.

Awesome company. I have used them since 2008 when they installed my system. I have never used a better service company for anything. Always on time, always honest, always professional. Wish I could find a plumber like Waychoffs A/C. Dont think they exist.HIGHLY RECOMMEND this company. They really are outstanding. Nobody else has worked on our system. A/C makes rattling noise at startup. IMHO because A/C was allowed to drop on the retaining wall damaging unit (scratching/denting the upper A/C unit by cooling coils); and, in the process loosening the retainer wall (wall is now loose and may fall on next hurricane). I was told by the technician the rattling noise (at start-up) is normal. However, I believe the unit got tweaked when dropped onto the upper side and allowed to crash into the wall. The wall stopped the unit from falling down on its side. The noise seems to come from the housing of the A/C unit rattling and not the fan. Although, so far, except for the annoying rattling) it appears to be working okay.My concern at this time is on the long term durability of the fan, not sure this rattling will not cause something to break over time, and the annoying sound at startup. Also, I was told, by the technician, the unit was tougher than it looks and the damage would be of no consequence. In addition to being reminded of the 10 year parts warranty; which does not cover labor. Hence my concern! I’m pretty sure this unit did not leave Amana with this rattling sound at startup. Or at least I would hope so; given I spent almost 10k on this install.I’m recounting my experience not to beat up on Waychof but, to advise others of my most recent a/c install experience; yours may be different and that’s okay.I should note that this is not my first contact with Waychoff. I bought an A/C unit from Waychoff about 10 years ago, for about 10k, and the staff and a/c installers were awesome to work with and the job was done professionally and completed promptly. Hence, why I chose them again.However, a lot has changed since. This time the a/c install process was labored, slow (close to 9 hours on day one) unprofessional and understaffed.To be fair it was a rainy day on install day. Nonetheless, it took 2-3 days to correctly complete this instal; issues with wiring the circuit board. I presume this was due to a lack of experience in the first a/c install team. On day one, I had three people show up for the install. An install that would require the lifting of the unit over a wall. I assume they knew that they would need to hoist (physically pickup)the unit over the wall because the technician that sold me the unit was made aware of it. Unfortunately, this was a task they were not physically prepared for and did not perform adequately; given the number of a/c installer and their physical acumen.I offered to help them with hoisting the unit, seeing they were having such a difficult time, they refused my help. IMHO they should have called the office and requested additional muscle (one more person) to help with lifting. I recall, on the first install, they used four people to pickup the a/c unit. It seems this time they were not prepared for this task. These are my thoughts on this install. I hope they may help someone in someway.

Have used Waychoffs for over a decade. Service has always been reliable. They installed two new systems for us and replaced one ten years later. Am writing this review to praise our most recent technician Michael, a very pleasant and agreeable young man. We have two very large 120 lb dogs, an unusual large shepherd breed. They are friendly to strangers once introduced, but are also watch dogs, so if they are shut up in one room they bark and bark until the service people are done. Michael wanted to meet the dogs and they got along famously, so they did not have to be closed off from the rest of the house. This relaxed them and made the whole process so much easier for everyone. The old dog was calm and the young dog followed along to see what was going to happen next! A very nice experience. Put Michael on our client record for every visit - hope I got the correct Michael - he knows who he is!!

We have used Waychoffs for the last few years. We could not be more pleased. They are honest, dependable and hardworking. They explain what they are going to repair and/or going to install. After the work is completed, they clean everything up and go over what work they have completed. If you have a new installation, a supervisor will come out and inspect the work that was performed on the unit at that time. We have had 3 different service tech groups come out this week. They all did a fantastic job for our family!

I had the system installed about 5 years ago. They are always ready for any of your service needs. I have called them out for Cleaning and today for Service. Today being Sunday the price for the Service call was the same as it was a regular Day. The Technician Matt was very Friendly and very knowledgeable of the system. The technician arrived on time and performed requisite AC maintenance. Of course the unit being a 2013 model he did suggest capacitor replacement (5 years old) and a new contactor coil as it was original and showing diminished capacity. I opted for those two major items and a new maintenance agreement for $648.00. He cleaned and serviced the compressor as well as the drain lines and checked to ensure the unit was properly cooling. Cleaned up and left. He did a good job and although I always have sticker shock I am glad I don’t have to worry about the unit continuing to work well.

I called Waychoff’s A. C. Yesterday afternoon as my unit was not cooling, and I suspected all the gas had leaked out. Buster Davis called when on his way to check it out. After checking my unit, he advised it was definitely low on Freon.Buster had my air cooling in no time, and found no other problems or rust with my 12 year old Trane unit. Sept 26,2021. My A/C stopped working sometime Saturday, I called Waychoffs Sunday morning, requesting an early evening service due to my availability. The representative gave me a time frame of 2-4 pm, approx 1:30pm I got a call from Dylan, stating hes about 30min away. At 2 pm, he was at my house, diagnosed the problem in minutes, and began the correction. Minutes later I began to feel the cool air again. Dylan is a great tech his, demeanor was very pleasant and courteous, Waychoff your service is a class act!!May 2021. I havent used this company yet, but the salesman Eric C., is the best!! They are more expensive than our previous estimate BUT!!, what they are offering seems to be worth it. No high pressure tactics, no bait and switch. At the end of our meeting I had to admit to him, everything that seemed off about the previous company, he nullified by his explanation of their systems. In the end we felt much more comfortable even though theyre pricier. I was going to get 5 estimates from other companies, but after this Ill just call one more, though the decision has really already been made.June 12, 2021. Today we had our HVAC installed by Tim and his assistant (I didnt catch his name). These guys were top notch, very professional, very clean, did not step into the house without wearing their shoe coverings, respectful of our mask requirement. I was truly amazed at how much better this new system looks, I can definitely see the pride these guys have in their work.The new system is great, my old system came on about every 30-45 minutes, I keep checking this new thermostat because I dont hear the HVAC kicking on, and its always at set temp with low humidity. I feel like I got Waychoffs best salesman and installer.

Jeremy was awesome! He was earlier than the estimated time slot, and he showed up and diagnosed the problem very quickly. We had One Hour come out two days prior with incredibly horrible service, but he read their notes and was able to determine why they were not successful and what further action was needed to correct the problem. He listened carefully and explained things in great detail so we could understand. He ended up changing out our thermostat to a new one and made sure it was fully functional before he left. The entire process was very quick and he was very friendly. I HIGHLY recommend him and this company. Thank you!

The a/c stopped working at a rental house. They were very quick to respond. The only concern I have is the price. The labor was very reasonable, but they charged $840 for a 1/2 Horsepower Blower motor. I called the office 5/4 to confirm that it was priced correctly, and they said yes. So service very good- just research the part price before confirming the repair. I was on the road and had to get the tenants ac going at the time.

Waychoff’s responded to emergency of old A/C failure last summer and had a complete new system installed the very next day. They called me a few days ago to schedule the one year check up at no charge. Great experience. I highly recommend them.

After being convinced of needed repairs on our 5 year old A/C unit, we found that the prices where 3-4 times higher than cost. Apparently the same service is offered at 1/2 to 1/3 the price elsewhere. We called to inquire about this and was told a manager would call us back, but ZERO follow through.

When our A/C stopped working, we immediately called Waychoff because they have repaired our unit multiple times. Our call was immediately answered and a competent technician was sent out the very day. Troy was on time, pleasant, and competent. He quickly identified the problem and repaired it during the same appointment. We slept in a cool home that same night!

I really appreciate how Waychoff does business, they are always rapid to respond, highly professional and over communicate throughout, no surprises and no grey area, just how I like it. We had Jesse out today and he was wonderful to work with! Jesse was incredibly patient, listened to all my concerns and I never felt rushed. Waychoff has some great staff and Jesse is one of them, thank you Jesse!

Shawn arrived on time and was very courteous. He conducted maintenance on both of our units. He answered all of our questions and helped explain how our systems are setup. One of our units was in need of extensive repair and Shawn went through all of our options in detail. We would recommend Waychoff’s and Shawn!
