Jason and Alexander responded separately to my call. Jason did the analysis of the problem and ordered the part that needed to be replaced. Alexander came with the new compressor and related items to do the job. He did the entire installation of the compressor, refrigerant charge, filters, etc., tested the system and put in back in service more quickly than expected.Both technicians did excellent work in a cordial, informative manner.
Air Flow Designs is the epitome of utilizing the cheapest products, installation techniques, and back it up with rude staff, and horrible service. Let me preface with saying, we did not select Air Flow Designs, they were contracted by our new home builder, which should tell you why we are having the issues, builders are using the cheapest vendor they can find. We have a 16 month old complete unit from Air Flow Designs that has now failed completely, twice, leaving our home between 90-95degrees and unlivable for days as they work to get a technician out to service. When onsite, we found that the reason for the first failure was a poor installation, and not sealing the air handler, which allowed condensation to drip into the unit, and damage a chip board. After replacing the chip board, they still failed to seal the unit to prevent the same thing from happening again, and a week later, our system has failed again. Not even calling them back, Ill pay another company to come in and fix their work, before I entertain the idea of an Air Flow Designs employee in my home ever again! Their is a reason you only see Air Flow Designs in new construction, they are providing the cheapest tricks on the block!
So David Weekley uses airflow for their serving and we have had Jason come out a few times. This man is hard working and knows his stuff! Our AC broke last night and I called them today, let Jason listen to a video of what was happening and he immediately knew what it was and was in and out in 20 minutes which is so appreciated considering our house was at 84 degrees. Thank you, Jason!
Air Flow Designs Heating & Air Conditioning of Jacksonville has been our familys air conditioning maintenance company since the mid 80s. My parents used them and now I do. The entire company is committed to consummate professionalism. Their technicians are second to none. Jeff P. is one of them. He came by today to replace my UV kit. From the moment he walked up to my home, he was friendly and professional. We are very diligent in the care of our homes A/C and Jeff was very understanding of my questions regarding what he was doing how he was going to fix our issue. His high degree of skill and flair was very apparent. He was honest and forthcoming. He even took the time to answer other questions I had regarding the care of our system. I really felt like he was genuinely interested in helping keep our system in tip-top shape. Ive worked with Air Flow a couple of times at our new home. Ive had the same technician Jeff P. and he has been a great guy to work with. Very personable, professional, and patiently listens to our concerns to help us find the right solution. Because of how well things have gone with Jeff we intend on staying with Air Flow after the warranty period ends.
Today we had our annual maintenance inspection and service for the A/C. Our technician was Yatchen - who called before he came to let us know he was on his way. He was thorough and informative. We decided to get the annual maintenance plan with 2 cleanings a year.Weve used Air Flow before for other maintenance as well as a repair. Air Flow also installed the HVAC system in our home.We recommend their services highly.
Our service technician Jeff Polansk was great. He arrived at our home on time, called us to let us know he was on the way and promptly diagnosed our issue as a bad blower motor. He checked our service warranty status and advised us we were within our 10yrs, made the appropriate repairs and was done relatively quickly. Jeff P showed up exactly on time. Troubleshot system. Gave quote for replacement system. He followed up on ordering new system and then called to let me know what date and time install would be. Provided friendly, caring and professional customer service. Very knowledgeable.
This company pulled a fast one on me and is sketchy, beware... First tech came out and told me the expansion valve needed to be replaced. Another tech came to fix it and immediately tells me he has to come back with another part that will only take 15 minutes to install. Turns out, that part was the ac compressor and i get billed for $1500!!!!! The part was under warranty but a 6 hour job costing $1500?? Ridiculous. Not to mention, the schedulers failed to provide the quote to me ahead of time. Considering the tech told me it would be a quick job I assumed it wouldnt be too costly, but clearly I was wrong. The service manager said sorry and offered nothing in return for hitting me with this huge bill. If I had known the cost ahead of time, I would have gotten quotes from other companies! Keep in mind, this is the same company who installed the unit 3 years ago and did not back up their work one bit. Carrier fronted the money for the parts and I had to front 100% of the labor to replace the parts. Airflow designs gets paid $1500, win win for them!!! Will be sure to never use them again nor recommend their service.I edited my response to reply to below feedback from the owner:1. I never complained about how many days it took for the service to be completed. The system was not run at all from 1/8 to 1/14 so there is no way we did more damage. Of course, had that been communicated you would be well aware that the compressor did not fail during that time. Keep in mind, the ac compressor runs both heat and ac so if the AC compressor was bad, the heat would not work (your service manager agreed to this over the phone). However, prior to 1/8, the heat was working just fine however the ac was not. The service manager was surprised to hear me say this and had no remark to this.2. I understand Carrier does not cover labor, but you as the seller and original installer should have some liability in the game when it comes to a new unit installed on a brand new home. But you do not so you take advantage of repairs when you can, just like this (i.e. I pay $1500, carrier covers parts, you get paid). Again, I would have liked to have another company quote the work if I had known it would be $1500 which is obviously not a big deal for the big fish out in the world like yourself. You can call me if you would like to change my mind, you have my number.3. Based off other reviewers and 3.9 rating I wouldn’t say you are known for exceptional service, clearly things have changed during the latter 62 years.
The technician that came to my home, Jeff, was professional and considerate (wearing PPE given pandemic). He identified areas of concerns and put in orders to address them immediately. I received my call back within a day to schedule for minor repairs covered under warranty. Thanks Jeff!

I had a service call today for some issues with my residential heating & air conditioning system. Technicians Jeremy and Richard did the work after I described to them what the problems Id been having were. I was really impressed with how they listened, the work they did and the explanation of the service they provided when they were done. Both were polite and professional and, in my opinion, did a great job. They represented themselves and Air Flow well. I cant comment on pricing because the job was covered under warranty, but if I ever need similar service in the future I will definitely be calling Air Flow.
Air Flow Designs is truly amazing. I have dealt with other AC companies that I had bad experiences with. Airflow is totally different the tech was professional and knowledgeable he did such a great job installing my new system no details were missed. This will be the only company I will use for all my AC needs. Highly recommended.
Every service call or a tune up call that requested always results in a satisfactory outcome. Getting through this summer has been a challenge obviously due to critical mass of customer calls. Anthony C who always is the one who services my system is very knowledgeable, courteous and makes sure that system is working as expected.
I have a new build, been in the house for six months had a nest thermostat put in before I moved in. It worked great for six months. Then my condenser stopped working. I called for the one year warranty and they sent there tech out for blamed it on the thermostat and also tried to charge me 75$ on a warranty call which after arguing then honored the warranty. He installed the original thermostat and the system worked but had a horrible buzz to it for one night. The next day I Iooked inside the panel at the condenser somehow over night the wires were disconnect from my unit and those connectors are very strudy, someone must of disconnect them Ill let you all guess who I think it was. So I am giving them one star because I cant give any lower because they are either incompetent or they tried to scam me
Joe V was the person that came out to the house to fix our a/c unit. He was terrific he explained everything to us. When Joe replaced the motor it still did not sound right. Joe said it need a new blade so he ordered the blade within a few days he was back at our house and installed the fan. He did not leave until both of us were happy. Joe was great and I would recommend Joe to come out again if we have future problems. MM
I had an annual check-up today and Anthony C was the tech assigned to my house. He was on-time, courteous, and very efficient in checking out my system. I have used Air Flow since moving to Jacksonville 3 years ago and plan to continue doing so.
I am very pleased with the service received today by Rafael. He was very detailed and took his time to explain and was very patient as I explained stuff to him as well. I am satisfied on how this service call turned out.
I am lucky that my Air conditioning system stop working days before my service agreement contract was due. I called Air Flow Designs Heating & Air Conditioning, for my air conditioning system failed to cool the house. The Tech came out found the coil need to be clean and the defrost circuitboard bad, either to be cause of the cooling problem. The Tech later discovered that the system was out of freon. He said that he dont know where the leak is, and this could take 3 to 4 hours and he dont have time for that, so he goes and order a part that is not in his van. Here where i found to be lazy and not caring for the customer. At the least service the system with freon (no cost to him) to find the real problem. Who knows the freon could last, for one cooling the house and for two until the part come in which was two days. The Tech flat out said NO for the freon and requested money for his service. Then i said no, later i get a call from the main office telling me that i need a new system costing 6,200 dollars. now if the Tech had service the system, my intention was to replace the entire heating and air system any way. The Tech and i speculate think if he service the system with freon it could last months and the customer will be content. I know that my system is 15 yrs old and it about time for a new one. JUST BE HONEST and do your JOB. My next step is the BBB.

Well, Im not a negative reviewer, but after 18years, Im exploring a new HVAC service provider. .I give 2 stars but this is based only on my early history with Air Flow.For background, I inherited a transferable service contract. Then Air Flow installed my last Infinity unit in 08. I paid for annual maintenance AND FOR A 10 YR LABOR warranty agreement since then. Until recently, the service was great; the personnel were responsive and the prices were fair. But within the past couple of years, each tech who came to call was a new employee. As my labor agreement expired, I noticed prices climbed each year. In the past 18mos, I renewed only the annual maintenance.So when my most recent service call - after a fairly recent annual maintenance visit - cost me a trip fee just to tell me my compressor failed, you can image my frustration when there was no willingness to include that cost as a credit toward a new system installation. My status gave me no additional priority despite the fact I had a complete outage. And incredibly, I had to chase the Sales rep for a quote, who scribbled costs on a form that was beyond difficult to read. The rep never called me to follow up, much less answer any of the questions I had (such as when can the work begin, what parts are included and are they in stock, is financing an option, what rebates am I eligible for, and what add on services can I obtain). So Im left to interpret a quote that is 1.75x the closest competitor, I think.1 week without air and I still havent heard from my rep.To say Im truly disappointed with Air Flow is an understatement.

It is impossible to get anyone to to speak with you - you have to wait for a minimum of 15 minutes before anyone answers your call.After I did get manage to get through, they didnt deliver the special filter I ordered. Had to follow up multiple times.Their technician who came to check my problem touched some part of the system, and said theres oil. When we touched it, it was just water - why?!?He said theres a leak - but didnt bother to check from where or anything - just blankly said the unit needs to be replaced. Even if he is right, it gives no confidence, the way he went through the process.Very disappointed.
Will never use this company again for my home air conditioning needs. Called them out due to continuous water coming out of drain on side of home (thought was related to AC). Tech came out looked at issue and told me it was nothing to worry about, was that way due to more use in the summer. Upon further fact finding found out it was release drain for my water heater! Tech never told me this, instead just took my $70 after 10 mins of work! Called to complain to Manager, and was asked What would he like me to do. Really!! How about stop ripping off your customers and be honest! Would never recommend this company to anyone!

I would like to say that I was very happy with the service I received from Air Flow Jacksonville. I had called for service and Chris came out the next morning and took care of my clogged drain. He also took the time to help me with the changing of the filter which I had struggled with. Asked if I had anymore questions before leaving.
