One of favorite places. Great pool, friendly staff, clean facility, great assortment of equipment, good variety of fitness classes, a cafe and tennis all @ an affordable price. If you have kids they have you covered. Highly recommended.

Clean! Friendly. Enough equipment and room to spread out and be safe without waiting forever on a machine. Separate mask-only room for those who need it (also works as a quiet room for those sensitive to surrounding sounds/distractions. I hope they keep it.Some service cost, but are very reasonable.I love that HP is always improving service and equipment. They care about your success, not just taking your money.I eas a charter member. Left 15 years ago and rejoined last year. It’s not much more $ than the YMCA but we get a lot more for our money.

I have been a member of the Healthplex over 20 years and it has gone through 2-3 owners since my membership started. The current owners are outstanding and have improved a number of areas in the Healthplex. It it no doubt the best gym in the city and i know because i belong to the YMCA and NIFS. If you live near the Healthplex I suggest checking them out.

Best gym Ive ever been to. Amazing price for all they offer. Many classes and all kinds of equipment and facilities. Love playing tennis and pickleball here. The staff is amazing. Coach Pride is a joy to work with.

Best gym been going here 7 years pool and sauna not open yet but I’m not changing gyms the doctors and therapists have truly helped with great advice and tips with my health issues ... my whole family are members now and some of my neighbors. It’s great place for me and my children’s needs to be met.

The lighting in the tennis facility is dim on the best days, and there were several lights out overhead, making for dim and uneven lighting.

Ive been a member for about 5 years. Ive seen good and bad things. With the new owners Im hoping for some major improvements.I was just in the facility to talk with a personal trainer. Chris was an awesome guy! Just what I needed.Sadly the Girls at the front desk leave much to desire. Lack luster attitude, seemed bored out of their skulls. Like it was a bother to answer my questions. Like it was inconsiderate of me to have them find me a person to talk with about the personal training.They said go to second floor and ask someone.I asked them couldnt they find someone to answer my questions. Again they seemed bothered!Thank goodness, Chris happened to be walking by.When I left, I asked the girls for printed out information. Attitude was, what again?To many elderly or middle aged people would love this position. Ive even seen young people in the past who were awesome!Revamp your front desk...I

Wonderful gym. A lot of improvements in 2019. 2020 looks to be even better so far. The staff is amazing. There is enough equipment, so it never seems packed. There are different classes all day. The therapy pool helped me heal from a broken leg. My favorite part of my workout is recovering in the hot tub and the steam room. Great experience. It’s conveniently located between downtown and my work too, so that’s a bonus!

Best kept secret in town, best locker rooms in town and always new programs to explore and try besides the basics. Friendly staff too, and used COVID to do some major refreshing and cleaning.

Best club in Indiana. Helpful staff and excellent exercise equipment. Great lap pool and exercise pool. Lots of different classes for better heath and fitness. You can get one on one trainers that can help you meet your personal goals and keep you motivated to exceed. Lots of indoor tennis courts and outdoor for the experienced player. Club has a indoor track for jogging and walking. just a great place. Oh yes, you can relax in the steam room, hot tub or the dry sauna. This place is more like a resort. Fantastic!!!! 🙂

This is a really nice gym.however I haven’t signed up just yet because the lack of communication is really poor! I was scheduled for a tour and got there the person who was supposed to give me a tour was not there..at some point I should have been made aware of that 🙄

Great gym with good variety of classes, nice equipment, great tennis programs. Not too pricey for what you get at all. I especially like the body pump class by Katie a lot and the tennis pros are awesome, too!

BEST SECRET GYM IN INDY!!! My son has autism and they provide accommodated special needs swim lessons after a week he can already swim...Huge amazing dressing rooms with a hot tub’s, full-court basketball, tennis complex, enormous weight section, fitness programming and aqua exercises available...The only additional workouts I know of are the Pilates reformer’s but they are so worth it!

I was a member here for two years. The staff is very friendly, the place is always clean. Because I am an educator, I received a discount. They have so many options for working out to meet the needs of everyone. The steam room and sauna are my personal favorite. My niece went there too because they have a child care center and her girls enjoyed going. If you live near there, it is a great place to go.

He is doing us a favour by giving us an opportunity to do so.” I wonder if the staff at Indianapolis Healthplex would benefit from being made aware of this little quote?

Some of the best customer service Ive encountered in a long time! I walked in to obtain information about becoming a member and was offered a tour on the spot. The crew seems highly interested in learning about what you want out of your gym membership so that you can make a decision based off of your needs. Kent gave a detailed tour and spent a great deal of time going over the amenities and membership information. The gym has a lot to offer as far as equipment and training goes. Kent really cared about our experience in the facility and wanted to ensure we were joining because we thought it was a good fit. The desk crew was just as friendly and welcoming, making my visit a very positive one!!!

Fantastic chin. Convenient location right off of 65. hot tub and steam room as well as dry sauna in locker rooms. Lap pool and heated therapy pool. Racquetball courts tennis courts basketball courts excellent selection of weight lifting equipment and excellent selection of cardio equipment. Also has an indoor track massage services on site and doctors offices on site. Has cafeteria with fresh juice bar too.

Used to be great management and they used to be more relaxed and lenient with a lot of things (membership rates, leniency for members who are renewing memeber ship, etc.) but now they are extremely strict. Other than that facility is great!

Love working out here. Ive never seen or experienced a place for fitness that has absolutely everything you need for working out. They keep you well informed and educated about you health and well-being. I highly recommend joining here. Well worth the money spent. Plus, you meet lots of good friends! Way to go Community Healthplex!!!

Was a nice place to work out, but new ownership not negotiable and almost impossible to drop your membership. Tried to be reasonable with these folks, but no luck. Do yourself a favor and drop your membership here and go to the new YMCA at 53rd and Lafayette toad for half price the monthly fees. New place withvrunnkng track and beautiful pool!

This is a fantastic gym. Membership includes use of the facility along with about 95% of their classes. There are lots of classes offered in the evenings, making it easy to go after work. The facility is incredibly clean.

Seriously best gym around ..even has indoor tennis courts and auto ball machines. 2 racquet ball courts, every cardio and weights and machines you could think of, 2 pools, plethora of classes, basketball, steam and sauna. And true, home feel. Check it out. Special deal for Veterans too.

This used to be the elite gym in the city, until 6 months ago. The gym has gone down hill dramatically. Things take months to get fixed when they brake and there is always plenty of stuff broken. Staff used to be very friendly, but now just show up to get a pay check. It used to be a very clean gym, but it is always nasty in the locker rooms. The club communicates very poorly of changes and doesnt keep up with its programs. They have also raised rates. Unfortunately I dont see the gym open much longer with the new current management.

I have experienced bad customer service more than once here. I came in looking for information about signing up and the girls at the front desk were so off putting. I felt like I did something wrong by approaching the desk asking for information. I understand we all have bad days so I brushed the experience off. I received a three day guest pass to try the gym out which I appreciated. I really enjoyed the fact that the Sauna and wet steam room were in the ladies locker room but it was pretty dirty and dark. Even after the rude service I had received initially I was still going to sign up because of the location. I came in yesterday at abut 8:20 pm. And the same little blonde girl at the front desk that had rubbed me wrong the first time was there again and this time she was so rude I have decided not to join at all. She was so rude and her body language was so off putting I left feeling so discouraged. Thankfully I drove down to nifs and received wonderful customer service for a better price and bigger gym. I wish I would have gotten the young ladies name at the front so you could address her customer service skills because they need work extremely bad. She was there last night 2/9 at 8:20 at the front desk.

Very clean and has lots of things to help you keep in shape. Exercise machines, pool, very roomy for running inside.

This place is the best, especially for students and retirees. they have everything a gym needs and more. Tennis courts, 2 olympic sized pools, 2 basketball courts, Sauna and Steam room, yoga, exercises, massage therapy, physical therapy- the list goes on. I recommend all IUPUI and downtown Indianapolis students check this place out as the Student Membership fees are incredible. Wish it was cheaper to bring in Guests though because then I could show the place off to people without paying an exorbitant amount.

This place is great! Facilities are clean, layout is easy and convenient, free class options, as well as other medical and fitness services, staff are helpful and friendly (except that one guy at the front desk on saturday laughing at the zumba newbies on the main floor ;-P), but the best thing is the great community. Very family friendly and i appreciate the diversity. We also got a great deal at the open house. Im definitely recommending this place to my neighbors and friends. Updated 3/16/16: after using a few more of the features (i.e. showers, hot tub and pool) can see that there is some need for improvements. Tiles in the hot tub floor were coming up, and shower could stand to be given a deeper cleaning, but still overall a great place.
